Mitzie G: Amazing dishes hand prepared by the skilled, world class chef. The host was attentive with an extensive knowledge of the dishes, their preparation and ingredients’ sources. The setting was elegant and chic, decorated with taste and sophistication. I highly recommend this dining experience.Dietary restrictions: The chef was happy to accommodate my shellfish allergy.

Irina Malkova: I’ve never done omakase before, but I understand good food. This was very, very, very delicious.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

Wilbur Yu: was immensely fresh, and the creativity to their nigiris were astounding. One of the nigiri used grilled eggplant

Gerald Soo: Wonderful high-end Japanese omakase dinner. We dined inside a bubble. The only thing I'd suggest is to make the inside of the bubble brighter.

Brett Landsberger: This is our favorite neighborhood sushi spot. They have the best quality fish I’ve had in SF.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Mario Dos Campollo: Delicious Japanese food in Russian Hill. Quality fresh fish shines bright in Okoze’s dishes. The Monk fish liver was real tasty and well prepared. If you know you know. The Hamachi kama was on point as well. It had a nice texture and was a good size. The seaweed salad was good and the shrimp tempura was a throw away dish. The meal wasn’t cheap but would I come back? Sure.

Ava Johns: yummy, fresh sushi! drink menu was fun but service was pretty subpar. Vibes were low but enjoyed the experience overall.

Bonnie Rostan: Fresh fish that doesn’t break the bank! I’d given up on anything but top shelf sushi restaurants, but decided to give this place a try since it is part of a larger group that includes excellent sushi restaurants. I’m so glad I did. The have a selection of rolls, if that is your thing. But the nigiri is where it’s at for me. Looking forward to my next visit.

Mike Alger: Really liked the Giants roll and Transformer roll

JP G: Really enjoyed the chirashi and the omakase box special. Fish was very fresh and the omakase was very unique. We enjoyed all of it very much. The staff was nice despite an initial period of confusion about how long the wait was or whether we could even get a table. But once we were seated the staff were great. Atmosphere is cute. Looks somewhat updated, not a huge fan of loud music in any restaurant. So if you're looking for a quiet dinner out then you might want to go elsewhere, but the food alone is worth it. We were curious about the noodle soups, and I like to go back for that. Even though this is a sushi place, the soups that other people ordered looked promising.

Cody Smith: Tasty fish, generous portions, super friendly staff, and excellent selection. Really great to have them in the neighborhood

Ian Barber: Great sushi in generous portions from a super friendly and hospitable team. They accommodated our toddler easily and were really friendly throughout - we ate outdoors with the heat lamps. The Chive and Salmon dish pictured was fantastic, and we also had a nigiri omakase that had delicious selections, among other things! Definitely worth checking out.

J (X): Completely blown away by portion and pricing for their burrito. Quality is immaculate as well, randomly ordered off DoorDash and was completely floored. Will order again many a times!

Awilda Rosario: Amazing food. Ordered delivery and blown away. The bowls are great with lots of yummy fish and the munchie roll is so large it doesn’t fit in your mouth. Def ordering again!

Dan Tat: and honey

Jacklyn Liu: Very delicious fresh seafood! I opted for the 16 piece omakase and there was so much food. They use caviar, truffle salt, olive oil, and more to create unique synergies. Will definitely come back for some of their unique looking rolls!

Sneha Vaswani: Amazing food, generous portions, attentive service and reasonable prices. This is sure to become one of my go to sushi spots. 😊

Stuart Olivera: Unique and delicious sushi rolls, great nigiri, nice service

W. K.: Food: 5/5

Brandon Yung: Honestly pretty impressed with this place. The name of the restaurant was a bit off putting but I’m happy to say the food surpassed my expectations. We got the toro roll, Kobe beef ramen, agedashi tofu and edamame - everything was perfect and reasonably priced! I couldn’t find anything critical to say about any of the dishes honestly and I eat at Japanese restaurants very often. I’d easily come here again. Definitely recommend the Kobe beef ramen.

Angela Dao: Wow, can’t believe i haven’t heard of this place! The duck ramen was some of the best ramen I’ve had in the states. We also ordered a few rolls and appetizers - the raw fish being super fresh and roll combinations were delicious and unique.Easy parking too! Definitely stop by, you might add it to your sushi rotation.

dominic galletti: Best in San Francisco!

Darius Bahgeri: One authentic Japanese place, very friendly staff

Kevin Onorato: Wow, I have been eating sushi for 35 years and this is the third place where I was ever truly surprised and delighted. While I am not a real officionado I can say for certain that all the boxes got a check mark. Food, atmosphere, and staff were not just wonderful but really a cut above my expectations. I’ve never had makerel that was so mild but still flavorful. We had a type of poke salad with mixed fish and mixed greens and pickled veg that was fantastic. The atmosphere, the ambiance, the art, the lighting, the architecture is pretty darn cool as somebody found a way to integrate the dated and rustic concrete building which was likely a auto garage or something back in the day, with a sweet room modern vibe. The caterpillar roll looked like a damn caterpillar and the dynamite roll was the best I’ve had. I hope I’m not being dramatic. My sushi experiences range from Monterey, Seaside, Marin, SF, Santa Cruz, and Portland. Never been to Japan but after this sushi I ran home and started to research trips to Japan as I was inspired.

Michaela Nee: Truly a hidden gem - amazing, amazing food, kind staff and honestly it’s just really beautifully decorated! This is our favorite place to take friends and quickly became a go-to.Vegetarian options: 2 veggie sushi rolls are available on the menu

Kali Norby: Amazing sushi place. Fish quality and selection was incredible. They make s bunch of Japanese classic dishes, standard rolls, and such, but fish selection like this is a thing of passion and not to be missed or covered up. They had a pretty impressive alcohol selection; they have a good number of Japanese beers on draft, more than I see elsewhere in the city. We have a new favorite!

Mary Jo Ricci: , all A+ flavor combos. Decided on the omakase and the deliciousness continued in a nicely-paced delivery of a variety of beautifully presented and seasoned fresh sushi and grill items that were just…just…perfect. Every one. The place is small, unpretentious and friendly, and being a few feet away from Chef Julio, he could see our table and took the initiative to portion each round so our group could easily share every item. Great selection of Japanese beer and sake, plus cocktails. A truly memorable evening.

Lacey Merryman: one of the head chefs, who served us some incredible rolls and some small bites to try on the house. The service here was incredible, I mentioned to Ethan what I normally like in a roll and he customized one special for me that was truly a work of art

Dr Scu: I almost don’t want to tell you about how good the sushi is here. Fish so fresh you’d think we’re by the port. And the baked muscles…. A must try. They literally melt in your mouth. & I have not had friendlier, more welcoming service anywhere…. Not to mention the lower east-side NY vibe inside. This is how a neighborhood sushi joint should be. Thank you for some of the best bites around.

Michael Tal: I'm sure i rated sushi zone in the past, but being away for so long and seeing how sad most of the city looks, places are shut down and these that are still in business offers very little quality for crazy high prices and then there is this little piece of heaven, taste like the old days, prices have gone up very moderately for incredible new experience of sitting outside and enjoying this magic sushi, better yet, magic food all together with the nicest management and ownership, it is so important to have these little gems to make you feel like it's not all lost..Wheelchair accessibility: Though it seemed harder at the old days when they had only indoor sitting and it was so crowded, now with the outdoor option, it seems more comfortable
