uvin: Friendly staff, not like the other Mexican bakery on 24th Street, I bought 5 loaves and it was only 12.50 so it was a good price too, next time I will buy tamales they say they are good
Sam Holladay: Even in a cutthroat city like San Francisco, some places are still run with love--with the kind of welcoming kindness you'd expect to see in a small village, not a few steps from a BART station. The owner of La Mejor Bakery is generous and thoughtful, once allowing me to come back hours after buying a pastry to pay for it, since I ran out of cash. One block away is Arizmendi--overpriced, overrated, and perpetually staffed by douchebags. It's a perfect reflection of the New Mission. In La Mejor, the Old Mission lives on.
Bob Brown: 1 dollar for small cookies and 4 for a chicken tamale. I had a tamale with green sauce and it was a big tamale, but lacked on the ratio/amount of chicken inside. Friendly owner and took my trash after eating.
Alexander Martinez: This is a great little bakery. It's conveniently off of the BART 24st exit and is also super close to El Farolito which is a banger. The only downside to this location is that they only accept cash. So be ready, if not you can stop at the liquor store 2 doors down and they have an ATM.
Angela Yee: I come here once in a while, and every time I have, the ladies behind the counter are always so friendly and kind. What's more is that despite that there's no prices written, it seems to not be a worry, because I will order multiple pastries and it will be much cheaper than I expected, like 2 big conchas was $3 last time I went. I have ordered multiple cookies and a pastry or two and still was under $5 too. They only accept cash so that is something to be aware of.
Eugenia Casillas: The best bread in the bay area💯🙏🤤 the service is cordial and friendly! It definitely always makes my day! He traveled an hour just to buy the bread FROM THE BEST BAKERY💕🥖🍞
Edgard Montenegro: Nice employees and friendly atmosphere.
Hailey Jones: We loved everything we got here! The custard pastry was my fave but the strawberry jam roll was a close second.
C. S.: As the name says, this really is the best little bakery. One of the women working behind the counter reminded me of my late grandmother. She was very kind. I was asking what the pig-shaped bread was called and my friend was translating for me. I then jokingly said that I was a sweet pig too and it made her laugh. I asked for a second piece of bread and they told me it was called a worm and I said well hey I am worm coloured. She seemed to be delighted. I really hope she has a wonderful day.Thank you so much for the free banana bread piece! I don't usually like banana bread but this was so delicious! You really are a fantastic baker. I hope to come back soon before I go back to Canada. Thank you thank you thank you.Muchas Gracias!
Jesse Boyes: Legend.
nestor ramirez: A good place to have coffee and pastries and have a chat with friends.

Colby: This place is awesome. They use quality ingredients to make some of the most delicious things you have ever tasted. The atmosphere is very upbeat and welcoming with a focus on customer service. They actually hire people with developmental disabilities and those who are homeless or at risk and teach them solid fundamentals for getting and keeping a good job.I can't say enough good things about this place. Mark, the manager, is awesome and caring, and Martha, the baker, is a step above other bakers and makes some of the most unique and delicious treats.I also have to mention Roxeanna, who works just about every position in the bakery and is always courteous and efficient.Do yourself and stop into the San Francisco treasure today.
Jackie Morrish: Omg a Mexican Chocolate cookie?! 👀 So moist and delicious. Also their jalapeño biscuit sandwich was soft and very tasty. They use cornmeal, and it’s not spicy. Had it warmed up, and the egg was still soft and warm on the inside.Really affordable for most SF places, and they don’t upcharge you for milk substitutions, I really appreciate that.
Ron Nieberding: Great cookies and pastries. Always nice when I can support a non profit social enterprise providing job training and employment for folks with disabilities. Plus Jamilla is a big fan
Flor Sanchez: Very good 👌 and the attention too
Sébastien Jourdan: Quality American bakery. Very close to the sublime town hall.
Aiste Ais: Vast selection of pastries. Good coffee. Skip the sandwiches. 16$ per head
Cristina E. Mitra: Not only is this an excellent place to get freshly baked bread and delicious sandwiches but they are a social enterprise supporting people with disabilities to get work. That's a win win for me!

American Angler: Then, he said.."It's on Pine Street, on the left..right by the old Joy Hammer's Clamatorioum, where Weasel Stickinbox got her start. The La Boulangerie de San Francisco...you can't miss it. They've got Amazing pizza, Joy used to take all her girls there. So, I said.."Who the hell is Joy Hammer and what's a Clamatorioum?Well...he said "Joy ..and in her words...is the owner and the official taste tester of the Clamatorioum, and the Clamatorioum is where all those girls hang out when they're in town from Monte Rio. Too much info...way too much I said, and I bee lined it straight to La Boulangerie had had some Amazing pizza! ☆☆☆☆☆
Diana Oliphant: .Recommended dishes Demi Baguette with Ham Swiss & Butter, Quiche, Assorted Pastries Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend …
Arthur T: Stopped by La Boulangerie with a friend for coffee and eats.We had a few of the pastries, but the ham and cheese croissant was the one I enjoyed the most. I had a cold brew as well which was good. Some seating inside. Back seating is very hot with all the machinery. There are a few tables outside as well.Street parking only.

Nonya Bisnus: Decent but $8 for a bagel and cream cheese is crazy
Mitchell Hanson: which was probably my favorite, cinnamon roll
Judy Margaret Chen: Old school bakery. It’s advertised as gluten free bakery. I wouldn’t know the difference since I’m not allergic or anything. The taste was okay. Their cinnamon rolls were good, the cupcake was a bit sweet.Parking: It’s well known that parking around here is difficult. Parking lots are limited, so you have to drive around between public garages.Kid-friendliness: There are some kid’s pastries.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance
Tomáš Krátký: It is extremelly hard to find bakeries with focus on gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and at least partially vegan goods. This place is a gem. I tried several different things and all were delicious. Highly recommend to everyone.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free, soy-free, mostly dairy-free and often vegan baked goods.
Natalia: Gluten free restaurant, a paradise for celiacs! Everything very delicious specially the sandwiches and the cinnamon roll. I recommend for sure!Dietary restrictions: gluten free, safe for celiacs
Kristina Simakova: Food: 5/5
Miss Twyla: Mariposa offers a wide variety of gluten free items ranging from incredibly savory bacon cheese swirl to sweet bakery items. You’d never know items were allergen free. The taste and texture are to die for!!! The shop is located in the historic Ferry Building which offers artisan and local products. Highly recommend trying Mariposa.Dietary restrictions: Gluten and Soy

Robert Borsdorf: Undeniably the best bakery in SF and any reviews that say otherwise are anomalies or in bad faithWheelchair accessibility: Ground level
Noopur Gupta: Cute small spot, always has a queue, has an outside seating. Tried their Potato Vareniki and Mushroom Blinchiki , tasted amazing! Will def go again to try other things they have.Food: 5/5 …
Salamander: Initially we went to have lunch at a Korean kitchen, but when we passed by, we saw a crowd at the entrance to the establishment. This intrigued us and we decided to look into Google to see the rating of the establishment. The rating of the establishment also did not leave anyone indifferent - 4.7 is, say, a rarity for a cafe. The establishment itself is not big. You can only get a seat on the street. Since the queue is long, all the tables are also occupied. But we were lucky - the table we had scheduled quickly became available.Let me first describe the advantages: 1. The price category is average, 2. The menu can be viewed online, 3. The choice of dishes is decent, 4. The service is fast - you didn’t have to wait long for your order, 5. The establishment has a toilet and it is quite clean, 6. From the food I liked the dumplings and bread.Cons: 1. I didn’t like all the food - we ordered: borscht - nothing special, we expected it to be at least approximately like home, but unfortunately not. Pancakes with cottage cheese - I didn’t like this dish at all. The cottage cheese resembled some kind of raw, tasteless dough. The only thing that saved the situation was the jam that came with the pancakes. If it weren't for him, everything would seem insipid and strange. Grandma's chicken soup - a lot of noodles... it seemed like they ordered spaghetti, which was poured with broth on top, 2. Drinks - they took compote and beer. In general, I don’t recommend dark beer - it’s bitter and smells like alcohol - not for everyone. The compote is tolerable and moderately sweet. Conclusion: the food is average, no frills. If you want to save money and have a quick snack, or you are too tormented by nostalgia, this is the place for you.

Joe Kern: Delightful pastry, yummy coffee.
Eric Daudenarde: It's very good!
Lynn Yu: Unpretentious bakery/cafe/lunch spot. The customer facing employees are very nice. The place is clean with a decent amount of seating. And the value is great. I love their pastries, and I love that they don't just have your standard American/French stuff. There's a bit of an Asian influence to their baked goods as well. I try not to keep loaves of bread at home because I could eat half a loaf in a sitting but once in a while I get their sliced breads in a half loaf. I wish there were more of these types of bakeries.
robert arp III: Excellent food and excellent people
Jolisaa Franks: My Favorite People miss yall !
Kaylan Jacobs: Its a little more affordable than Specialty's with more pastry options.
JOHN SINNOTT: Very nice food.
Quincy Harley Jr: Yummy sandwhiches. It's true; the secret to a good sandwhich is good bread.
Violetta Romero: The bread is delicious, the rings that serve you are always with a smile, very willing to help. I loved the place. I will go shopping every Wednesday. Thank you so much.

dreamynation: I came by this place due to the high amount of great reviews. The bakery I got in the photo attached did not disappoint. I was thinking about it all day after I had it. One of the best bakery no wonder why this place is so popular. I don't have much to say about their other items since I didn't try it, but I'd retuen to just try this one again!
James Leahy: Food is all 1st rate.Parking is a minefield of difficult to read signs. Got two parking tickets within 4 minutes with our two visits. It’s as if parking police are waiting in hiding for you to stop and pounce. We spent $180 on two tickets. We’ll never stop here again. Instead, we’ll drop someone off.Recommendation: don’t even stop in a red or yellow area to drop someone off or you’ll get pounced on by parking zealots who write tickets faster than you can roll your window down.

Brett Marinoff: Food: 4/5
Robert Rowntree: Down to succulent, sliced apple, prosciutto and stratella on signature baguette is Alice waters level yummy sandwich.
Patrick: Got their seed loaf at the Pleasanton farmers market and it's absolutely top notch
Fernando Lucas: Good breakfast pastries and raisin bread. Their seeded sourdough was mild and flavorful. Wasn't pleased with their white sandwich loaf; a bit bland and too oily for my taste. They're at the Stonestown Farmers Market every Sunday from 9am-1pm; worth a visit- excellent service by the way.
Bradley White: I get their bread at the San Mateo Farmers Market. So freaking good.
Vittorio Lacson: At Stonestown Farmersarket on Sundays. Sourdough country loaves have a nice crunchy crust but are moist and chewy on the inside. Heavenly.
Will Bateman: Idk who that new blond hair gentleman is but he's the best worker I've seen ran my food out to me great service from this man he needs a raise.

Diane Bunn: I love their vegan Chicken sandwiches and I'm not even a vegan or vegetarian. I don't try to compare it to a good chicken sandwich but simply do I like the taste and texture or do I not. And with theirs, I like it independent of chicken sandwiches. The bottom bun can be a little on the tough/dense side as if it was reheated in a microwave, idk but it helps to ask them to not heat it for too long and that makes it better. I love their pasta salad so I get that on the side sometimes and their brownie is pretty good, too.
Jeremiah Mullenix: I'm an avid meat eater and my wife brought me here to try the food. I had the meatball sandwich and I was impressed by how good it was. I hope everyone comes to try the food there. Also try the brownies for dessert!
Beto Dealmeida: Adorable place with amazing food!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan and delicious
Angela Hansen: Amazing! All the food was delicious, but the surprise treat was the vegan cheesecake! I have never had a good cheesecake until I came to eat here..Just do it ..don't question it.You will thank me later.
Grayce Talamantes: Great place! The cheesecake was amazing! Breakfast burrito to die for and the staff was super sweet!Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes Curbside pickup: Yes …
Naomi Hopps: I LOVE VEGAN PICNIC!!!!! CHICKEN WAFFLES IS THE BOMB. EVERYTHING IS GOOD!! 😍🐇🍄🏵️🌸🌷
Rosendo Del Rio: Wow! Delicious
Alexander C: It was so good!! We loved it
BOSSY Ly: the Vp burger is very good too. Must try💜
Marina Capella: Was happy to see a vegan place near the hotel where my conference was, but the gluten-free Caprese sandwich I ordered was disappointing. It was a GF bun with 2 slices of tomato and vegan mozzarella and nothing else. It was OK but would have been better with some vegan pesto or something savory to make the bread less dry. I should have ordered more carefully. Many other items on the menu sounded good.
Atrinna: Delicious spicy chicken sandwich. The brownie is delicious.

Corrie Galvan: Good pan & kind customer service. We'll be back next time we're in the neighborhood.
Farshad P: Pretty good old school panaderia in the mission with freshly baked, not too sweet conchas and cuernitos with other classics. The prices are extremely fair, and everything seemed to be very authentic. They didn’t have any coffee when I went. However the experience overall was great and the guy working there was super friendly! Would definitely go back.

Brittany Horwich: Wow! This cake was a HIT. “Best cake I’ve ever had” is one of the many compliments we got.. and I also personally said while celebrating! We went with the gluten free almond cake, lemon curd filling, seasonal berries and chocolate ganache. We also got the challah and that was delicious too. Will definitely be back and I recommend!
