uvin: Friendly staff, not like the other Mexican bakery on 24th Street, I bought 5 loaves and it was only 12.50 so it was a good price too, next time I will buy tamales they say they are good

Sam Holladay: Even in a cutthroat city like San Francisco, some places are still run with love--with the kind of welcoming kindness you'd expect to see in a small village, not a few steps from a BART station. The owner of La Mejor Bakery is generous and thoughtful, once allowing me to come back hours after buying a pastry to pay for it, since I ran out of cash. One block away is Arizmendi--overpriced, overrated, and perpetually staffed by douchebags. It's a perfect reflection of the New Mission. In La Mejor, the Old Mission lives on.

Bob Brown: 1 dollar for small cookies and 4 for a chicken tamale. I had a tamale with green sauce and it was a big tamale, but lacked on the ratio/amount of chicken inside. Friendly owner and took my trash after eating.

Alexander Martinez: This is a great little bakery. It's conveniently off of the BART 24st exit and is also super close to El Farolito which is a banger. The only downside to this location is that they only accept cash. So be ready, if not you can stop at the liquor store 2 doors down and they have an ATM.

Angela Yee: I come here once in a while, and every time I have, the ladies behind the counter are always so friendly and kind. What's more is that despite that there's no prices written, it seems to not be a worry, because I will order multiple pastries and it will be much cheaper than I expected, like 2 big conchas was $3 last time I went. I have ordered multiple cookies and a pastry or two and still was under $5 too. They only accept cash so that is something to be aware of.

Eugenia Casillas: The best bread in the bay area💯🙏🤤 the service is cordial and friendly! It definitely always makes my day! He traveled an hour just to buy the bread FROM THE BEST BAKERY💕🥖🍞

Edgard Montenegro: Nice employees and friendly atmosphere.

Hailey Jones: We loved everything we got here! The custard pastry was my fave but the strawberry jam roll was a close second.

C. S.: As the name says, this really is the best little bakery. One of the women working behind the counter reminded me of my late grandmother. She was very kind. I was asking what the pig-shaped bread was called and my friend was translating for me. I then jokingly said that I was a sweet pig too and it made her laugh. I asked for a second piece of bread and they told me it was called a worm and I said well hey I am worm coloured. She seemed to be delighted. I really hope she has a wonderful day.Thank you so much for the free banana bread piece! I don't usually like banana bread but this was so delicious! You really are a fantastic baker. I hope to come back soon before I go back to Canada. Thank you thank you thank you.Muchas Gracias!

Jesse Boyes: Legend.

nestor ramirez: A good place to have coffee and pastries and have a chat with friends.

Patrick Hourigan: I ordered a surprise cake for my wife. I wanted a photo of a puppy on the cake as I got her a puppy for her birthday. The Cake Gallery accommodated my request with just 24 hours notice. There was a miscommunication and the cake didn't deliver to us at dinner, however, the owner called me and was very apologetic and made the situation right. I was refunded and they still delivered the cake the next morning. Excellent customer service, great people, highly recommend and would use again. Oh and the cake tasted wonderful!!!

Vilda Santos: Delicious chocolate cake and the millefeuille cake, my favorite, the best I have ever tried, they are very natural, what I love most is that they are not so sweet 🎂🎂😉

katya tijerino: My family has been buying cakes from here since I was in the single digits and I’m almost 40, they got the best guava cake in the Bay Area, the tres leche is too sweet for me but my family loves it too, I read some of the comments and I will say there was a time that I too felt the cakes I received were not so fresh, the sponge was a bit stale but for the past 3 yrs now all the cakes I’ve bought have been to die for, this coming from someone who gets a cake because it Monday and why not lol the attitude eh don’t be so touchy, when you come here he’s straight forward and it depends on the weather hahaha so just buy your cake and enjoy it, get you some espumillas or rosquillas and call it a day. I also suggest their Pío quinto and sopa borracha, worth a try

Leonard Gallard: Always good, great pastelitos, and rosquillas

Irma Perlera: I love cakes, my favorite is guava

Jose Ulloa: Excellent pastry place

Marcos Moncada: It is known that not all the time you can get what you want, but there are times when by limiting yourself you achieve certain situations you can savor unique moments.

stella roque: ABSOLUTLEY MY GO TO PLACE FOR ALL EVENTS!! Never once have I left disappointed with my choice - and I don't even like cake which says a lot!! Don't forget to try their cupcakes w/ filling!!! I can't even! A bit pricey, but beyond worth it! Everyone will be asking you where the cake/cupcakes came from - TRUST ME! Even their everyday bakery items are a must. And you can literally see them making the cakes in the back so you know this is the real deal.Old School bakery - family ran and owned - local shop - mom & pop - support your favorite local stores!!

Miguel López: In general they have good prices, the empanadas are delicious, the man who serves is a little grumpy.

Mary Angeles: Remember is to live again! Everything to remember our Nicaragua with its unique style and flavor!!

Rita Braun: I grew up within spitting distance of Jewish and Italian bakeries. So as an experienced lover of Stella-style treats, if you haven’t been to Stella’s Pastry, I say this: Do go as soon as you can.Her baked treats will delight you. And her americano ranks in the top 2% of all sipped, considered, and scored. If you love americanos, you know what I’m talking about.

Ilaria Prescott: A bakery that knows how to surprise you deserves 5 stars. There are many amazing bakeries in this city, and I enjoy a lot of them. But for me, Stella Bakery is a place where I feel at home with real Italian flavor in every pastry.Their cannoli and tiramisu taste truly authentic, and I also love their Fedora cake slice. The staff is always smiling and friendly. The cafe space is small, but if you can snag an outdoor seat when the weather is nice, it's one of the most relaxing experiences. I also love their cappuccinos.Stella stands out for capturing the genuine Italian essence in their baked goods and providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's a stellar bakery that lives up to its name.

Krishin Asnani: Friendliest service from Marianna, the soul of this place. It’s a big deal to choose the right establishment to become a regular and predictable to the right type of staff; This place knows I like my double cappuccino frothy in their smaller, curvy, stylish cup; their oven fresh almond crusted biscotti and apple turnover is to die for; Great eye candy of colorful cookies behind glass reminds me of paintings by Wayne Thibeaux.

Barmak Heshmat: This is really the best Italian bakery i have seen in bay area. So just to remind myself for the next time. I recommend the ones with green tick mark and don't recommend the ones with red cross. The cookie with double jelly is the best and half chocoletted hazelnut biscuits.

Hawra Mohammed: Good.but why is the tiramisu frozen

Natalie: The mini cupcakes are my go-to for work treats for my team and I snag a few extra for the parking attendants, they’re a hit with everybody! The fruit tarts, croissants and cookies are very delicious also, as is the quiche!Be mindful of the small space and all the signs instructing people to stay outside to wait in line until they are called in. Tons of entitlement leads to certain people just walking in and being totally oblivious to the practices set by the bakery.Sign up for their rewards, you could get first dibs on free items with purchase!

Colleen Coolish: The baked goods are amazing.Vegetarian options: Only one type of quiche had meat. All other items are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Most of their bread is vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor. No stairs

José Luis Escuer Ibarz: The best bakery in the neighborhood. I'm walking quietly from 29th to buy bread and their excellent cookies.

Noopur Gupta: Cute small spot, always has a queue, has an outside seating. Tried their Potato Vareniki and Mushroom Blinchiki , tasted amazing! Will def go again to try other things they have.Food: 5/5 …

Salamander: Initially we went to have lunch at a Korean kitchen, but when we passed by, we saw a crowd at the entrance to the establishment. This intrigued us and we decided to look into Google to see the rating of the establishment. The rating of the establishment also did not leave anyone indifferent - 4.7 is, say, a rarity for a cafe. The establishment itself is not big. You can only get a seat on the street. Since the queue is long, all the tables are also occupied. But we were lucky - the table we had scheduled quickly became available.Let me first describe the advantages: 1. The price category is average, 2. The menu can be viewed online, 3. The choice of dishes is decent, 4. The service is fast - you didn’t have to wait long for your order, 5. The establishment has a toilet and it is quite clean, 6. From the food I liked the dumplings and bread.Cons: 1. I didn’t like all the food - we ordered: borscht - nothing special, we expected it to be at least approximately like home, but unfortunately not. Pancakes with cottage cheese - I didn’t like this dish at all. The cottage cheese resembled some kind of raw, tasteless dough. The only thing that saved the situation was the jam that came with the pancakes. If it weren't for him, everything would seem insipid and strange. Grandma's chicken soup - a lot of noodles... it seemed like they ordered spaghetti, which was poured with broth on top, 2. Drinks - they took compote and beer. In general, I don’t recommend dark beer - it’s bitter and smells like alcohol - not for everyone. The compote is tolerable and moderately sweet. Conclusion: the food is average, no frills. If you want to save money and have a quick snack, or you are too tormented by nostalgia, this is the place for you.

Michel Kattan: b. patisserie in San Francisco is an absolute delight! The enticing aroma of freshly baked pastries immediately captivates you.The selection of pastries, is nothing short of spectacular. We tried the famous kouign-amann, and it lived up to every bit of its reputation—crispy, caramelized layers on the outside with a soft, buttery center. The banana chocolate croissant was perfectly balanced, with a tangy filling and a delicate crust. Each bite was heavenly, with the perfect blend of flavors and textures. The staff at b. patisserie are friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about their craft. They were more than happy to make recommendations and provide insights into their delicious offerings. The attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in every aspect of the experience.Whether you're a local or just visiting San Francisco, b. patisserie is a must-visit destination. It's a little slice of pastry heaven that will leave you craving more. Can't wait to return and indulge in more of their exquisite creations!

Yi-Chieh Chen: [Take out review] French bakery by the owner of Routier - loved the madeleine and macaron. They have a gluten-free almond cake as well.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free

GG: I love their Kouign Amann, both chocolate and regular. They also have seasonal flavors, my husband likes the black sesame. The Ham and cheese is pretty good too. If I am not mistaken it has bechamel sauce on top. They can get busy depending on the time so I suggest doing a pre order.

Patty Tovar: inside . Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the savory egg complementing the moistness of the muffin. It was the ideal fuel for our morning hike at Hawk Hills, providing sustenance and satisfaction in equal measure. But the delights didn't stop there. We also indulged in a chocolate-drizzled croissant that was nothing short of heavenly. With its buttery layers and decadent chocolate topping, it was a true testament to the bakery's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.Overall, our experience at this bakery was nothing short of exceptional. From the delectable pastries to the warm and inviting atmosphere, it's clear that this establishment takes pride in delivering a memorable culinary experience to its patrons. Thanks to Emily Mariló's recommendation, we discovered a new favorite spot that we'll surely be returning to again and again.

Jeffrey Fiorino: Cool spot on Saturday morning, I come before I play soccer in the park up the block at 2pm. I get the warm quinoa bowl with fresh fruit ! Bomb I can’t eat gluten so it’s slim pickings for me. There only two small outdoor tables so gotta get there early if you want to sit outside, the tables are community style and kinda tight small spaceDietary restrictions: Not many gluten free optionsParking: Tough to park with the bike lane

Andy L: I stopped by Craftsman and Wolves and tried their Matcha Latte and Seasonal Kouign-Amann. The latte was okay and the orange/citrus seasonal kouign-amann was really good. I’d give the kouign-amann 8.5/10

Elma C: I’ve been frequenting Craftsman and wolves for years, just to name a few reasons:- contemporary interior, perfect for a catch-up lunch/brunch with friends or coworkers- amazing single serving cakes with innovative ingredients- large cakes perfect for special occasions- proximity to shops in the MissionBring your special people to this patisserie for amazing treats.

Kristin Ho: You come here for their special creative pastries like the Rebel Within.Their entremets/cakes in the glass case are also incredible, with delicate and interesting flavors. Those are definitely underrated as I don’t see many ppl getting them. However, when it comes to laminated pastry, their croissants are not as good as Arsicault, Maison Nico, or Butter & Crumble. It is not as crisp/flaky/fresh and generally tastes heavier in comparison.

ayush kalani: . Each individual pastry is $3.75, or you can snag a dozen for $45. There's no indoor or outdoor seating, so be prepared to enjoy your treat on the go.But oh, those custard tarts! They're worth every penny and every minute of waiting. The silky smooth custard is simply divine. Rich egg flavor, perfectly balanced sweetness, a slight wobble on top, and piping hot and fresh – it's a textural and taste bud explosion. The crust is the perfect complement – light, crispy, and flaky.Golden Gate Bakery might be a bit unconventional, but it's an experience that shouldn't be missed. Mitchell Hanson: . For the one on the left, the outside was caramelized with granulated sugar and bread itself was extremely soft and layered. The cream custard inside was sweet, moist, and solid enough not to drip everywhere. The other flakey breaded dessert with powdered sugar had the same custard which was lovely. Again, not tax, all cash.I would invite anyone who is visiting the area looking for great bakes or someone looking to get someone else a baked gift to try this place!
