Danica Gutierrez: Made a reservation and was called almost right away, very friendly server. Very kid-friendly, not too pricey . Delicious eats and the waitress is very niceKid-friendliness: Very muchWheelchair accessibility: Not sure about that

Jonathan Valle-M: We have come to Zaoh about 4 times, and the food never disappoints. You can tell by the way every sushi roll is constructed with such care and love.Me and my girl always go during dinner time, and we like the service. The waitress is quick on her feet and does not interrupt our dinner experience with unnecessary talk like other establishments. My go-to dishes are the dragon roll, the edamame, I love the chicken karaage!! and the salmon sashimi!! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Cannot forget to.pair your dinner with a nice hot sake! This is our go-to place for sushi cravings, and I highly recommend anyone visiting SF to go to Zaoh. They are truly a hidden gem.

Jeffrey Garelick: Had dinner at this fantastic sushi restaurant two nights ago. Food was amazing, sushi was incredibly fresh and the service from Ruby was awesome. You can’t go wrong with this sushi restaurant in San Francisco and definitely take Ruby’s suggestions… She helped to make for an incredible meal. This will now be my go to sushi place in San Francisco.

W. K.: Food: 5/5

Brandon Yung: Honestly pretty impressed with this place. The name of the restaurant was a bit off putting but I’m happy to say the food surpassed my expectations. We got the toro roll, Kobe beef ramen, agedashi tofu and edamame - everything was perfect and reasonably priced! I couldn’t find anything critical to say about any of the dishes honestly and I eat at Japanese restaurants very often. I’d easily come here again. Definitely recommend the Kobe beef ramen.

Angela Dao: Wow, can’t believe i haven’t heard of this place! The duck ramen was some of the best ramen I’ve had in the states. We also ordered a few rolls and appetizers - the raw fish being super fresh and roll combinations were delicious and unique.Easy parking too! Definitely stop by, you might add it to your sushi rotation.

dominic galletti: Best in San Francisco!

Darius Bahgeri: One authentic Japanese place, very friendly staff

Kevin Onorato: Wow, I have been eating sushi for 35 years and this is the third place where I was ever truly surprised and delighted. While I am not a real officionado I can say for certain that all the boxes got a check mark. Food, atmosphere, and staff were not just wonderful but really a cut above my expectations. I’ve never had makerel that was so mild but still flavorful. We had a type of poke salad with mixed fish and mixed greens and pickled veg that was fantastic. The atmosphere, the ambiance, the art, the lighting, the architecture is pretty darn cool as somebody found a way to integrate the dated and rustic concrete building which was likely a auto garage or something back in the day, with a sweet room modern vibe. The caterpillar roll looked like a damn caterpillar and the dynamite roll was the best I’ve had. I hope I’m not being dramatic. My sushi experiences range from Monterey, Seaside, Marin, SF, Santa Cruz, and Portland. Never been to Japan but after this sushi I ran home and started to research trips to Japan as I was inspired.

Michaela Nee: Truly a hidden gem - amazing, amazing food, kind staff and honestly it’s just really beautifully decorated! This is our favorite place to take friends and quickly became a go-to.Vegetarian options: 2 veggie sushi rolls are available on the menu

Alex: I'd give this place a 4.5 star if Google allowed me. I came by with a coworker for dinner this past Friday. We arrived at the restaurant a little after 6pm, and were a little surprised that the restaurant was fully empty. It was a rainy day, so that may have contributed. We got seated and ordered some miso soup, edamame, hot sake, the serious nigiri combination platter, and a black & white roll. The miso was alright, a tiny bit light on taste. The edamame was well boiled, with a generous sprinkling of salt on top. The nigiri platter contained 12 pieces, and the fish all tasted fresh. The roll was also well made, with Yellowtail and tempura shrimp.Overall, this was a nice little restaurant if you want a low key and quiet dinner, with good quality fish and well made rolls.

Paris Snow: I can’t say enough about this restaurant. My bf was hesitate at first because the outside the restaurant look little dark and the name of the restaurant was not very clear but we still wanted to try after checking all the reviews on yelp and here.OMG, I’m so happy we did. What a amazing Japanese restaurant in SF with very good deal specially during Happy hours. The fish are so fresh and best quality, the other food is also very good as well.We love Japanese food and we always try to find a Japanese restaurant that we don’t have to wait hours or book way ahead if it’s popular ones and of course not overpriced like many other Japanese restaurants. Please come to try to support their business and I’m sure you will be coming every week just like us. Many street parking available along the sidewalk.I would give 10 stars if I could.Parking: Easy to find Street Parking

Luna Salaver: The sushi was delicious and well crafted. I also had a Hamachi Kama, which was meaty and cooked to perfection. Others in my party ordered the yakatori and said they enjoyed what they ordered. It's a very small restaurant, so I recommend making reservations.Normally, I take photos, but we basically ate everything as soon as the dishes were served!Street parking is limited as it's in a residential area.

weeniesupreme: from here a couple times a month, and they never disappoint. Fast, friendly delivery, and the food travels great. Today we dined in and we were just as happy. The house rolls here are creative without being too fancy to enjoy, and the raw fish is fresh and expertly cut. Food also came out super fast and we had a great time chatting with our server.

Reece R: Great local spot with an amazing happy hour.

Sandy Lee: Recommended dishes Salmon Sushi, Oyster Special

Pauline Nguyen: Great little neighborhood spot! I love little hidden gems like Yoji. The happy hour is a steal. The sashimi was super fresh, draft Asahi was ice cold, and you could tell the staff cared.

S Wong: I had Hokkaido Chirashi at this restaurant. The seafood in the Chirashi bowl consisted of chopped scallop, a shrimp, salmon etc. Overall they were fresh. I was particularly impressed by the side items including the pickled vegetables, pickled salmon, and the tempura pumpkin slice, which was very delicious. This dish was a little bit pricy. Given the price, I expected more seafood in the Chirashi bowl.

Zhen Tang: Their Una Ten Donburi is incredibly delicious! The menu with pictures makes dining in super convenient. The waitress, a sweet lady, recommended the Una Ten Donburi, and I loved it! The eel melts in your mouth, and the tempura fried shrimp is so crispy, like biting into a croissant! Mixing the onsen egg into the rice doubles the deliciousness! The house salad was a bit salty, so I didn't finish it, but overall, it was a satisfying meal. Definitely recommend it to friends!

ROMMEL RIVERA: This place is permanently closed .Parking: Street parking only.Kid-friendliness: Not enough room.Wheelchair accessibility: Can't recommend.

William “Bill” Owen: CLOSED PERMANENTLYWe planned to dine here on Saturday 25 June 2022. Another group from the East Bay, who arrived when we did, said that this was their favorite sushi restaurant in San Francisco so my 5* rating is based on that group's rave reviews of Kaisen.Sadly, we were all greeted by a letter posted on the door explaining that Kaiser Sushi CLOSED PERMANENTLY on 21 June as they were unable to agree with their landlord on the terms of a 10-year lease.

Doug Gordy: The food here is really good.... Like I was back in Japan good. The rice is done just right, slightly sticky without being overly starchy. Their lunch specials are worth the price. They have this ginger dressing on the salads that was fresh and very pleasing. You should get the gyoza if you get any appetizer. The unagi domburi was some of the best I have had. Recommend this place as a nice lunch stop.

bv 74353: Great neighborhood place. We are regulars here. Attentive and helpful service along with excellent food. They provide an atmosphere that is quite rare in food establishments in San Francisco; when you’re here you’re made to feel like you actually matter and are not simply a delivery platform for revenue.

Tristan V: This sushi spot is amazing! The sushi was made right in front of us and tasted very good. The place feels cozy and the people are very friendly. Cynthia Colas: This place is beautiful in every way and their sushi is super fresh; I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a quality sushi restaurant in San Francisco.

Lily: Probably one of the more creative in presentation ! This place is worth the visit. It had classic things like uni and chutoro/otoro/ salmon eggs. The wagyu was yummy. The reservation was easy not sure what the purpose of the 8pm vs 815 reservation is. I noticed that everyone at the omakase bar was eating at a different pace. Some that were served first end up being served last as the dinner progressed on.The dress code is semi causal, my bf wore jeans .The omakase here is interesting as there are 3 chefs and each of them will serve 2-3 couples. Unlike other omakase I have been to, this one is less informative. They do mentioned some of the cuts here and there. The interaction with the chef is minimal Towards the end, he will ask if you want more or less rice and if you want to order anything else.I would say out of the omakase places I have been to, this one has the most amount of food. Also loved that ther dessert isn't a sweet tamago nigri!

St Aubyn King: What an experience. I found this place after arriving in San Francisco with no dinner reservations. I was not aware of the cost of meal until after I was seated and had already ordered something to drink. I was like what the hell, but after taking a few deep breath and realized I may never experience this as I don't think I will be making it to Japan anytime soon. The service was awesome as they explained each dish, it was sometimes hard to understand what they were saying. All the dishes were delicious and fresh. I was almost full half way through, but made space as the food was so good. Would I do this again, maybe not because of the price, but was so glad for the experience

Jeff Wallace: This was one of the best dining experiences of my life. And I’m old! Everything about Kusakabe was excellent, everything. The restaurant was warm, friendly and inviting, like you were eating at a friend’s home. We had a great conversation with our chef, our server recommended some great sake and all 18 courses were spectacular.Highly recommended, put Kusakabe on your bucket list, you will not be disappointed.

Jason Eng: Wow. An incredible omakase experience! Had the 18-course dinner, sitting at the chefs counter and I could not be more impressed by the quality and creativity of the food presented! Each course was distinct, delicious, flavorful, and there was nothing “basic” or “common” that was served. My favorites were the chawan-mushi, otoro, uni on uni, Hokkaido scallop and uni, Kyoto-style pressed saba, kelp-cured flounder fin… and more!A few minor critiques: the wagu sukiyaki was tender and delicious, but tasted too sweet. The miso soup was overly salty. And the yuzu sorbet had nice flavor but was served hard like an ice cube.Would definitely return to dine again. Recommended.

Gino Diaz: It's really my first Omesake! We went with my wife to celebrate Valentine's Day ❤️; And well, I had already investigated the place: 🍣 🍣 🍣 with a Michelin star it sounds attractive!!! So let's go.We first had to make a reservation in advance...approximately 1 month. We arrived easily on foot and because we arrived punctually, they welcomed us cordially in Japanese. The traditional suchi bar in good wood finish and behind it; The different chefs are very busy preparing the different dishes. We opted for one of 19 that included dessert! We found the cost reasonable for a culinary experience that truly is a symphony of unique and sublime flavors for those who love suchi. The Omesake Master was present...supervising all the actions...which never stopped...because it was a parade of exquisite dishes...they were all spectacular, but there were always some that stood out the most. We prefer a light beer to Sake... and at the end of the agreement, we decided to try wagyu A5!! Don't miss it...and you will definitely repeat the experience. Saluti a tutti 😎.

Erica (EVLove11): , that dinner is a whole heck of a lot cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to Japan in order to find anything close to this authentic. And with the intimate, high diversity, fixed course experience that they serve, the price is a necessary to cover their costs of staff and low table turnover. If you are a sushi snob

Daniel Kikuchi: The sushi was vibrant in flavor, reasonably priced, and made with fresh ingredients. My only complaint was that they had mochi on the menu but said they discontinued offering it - so I am discounting a star from "atmosphere" for a non-current physical menu. My party of two was given complimentary miso soup.Vegetarian options: My companion at this restaurant highly enjoyed their vegetarian sushi combo. It is less expensive than other options with the same high standard of quality.

Alona Navarrete: This has been one of my favorite go-to spots for sushi for a longtime. They also have a frequent dining rewards program that you can check-in to when you arrive.Minus one star as they're a little pricey for the portions they serve. But not every sushi restaurant makes kama and they have hamachi on their menu, priced fairly average for the area.

Dave Mitchell: Oh my.. what a delightful find. A killer joint run by a couple Kumi and Mike.. some of the best service and sushi I've had in a long time. Kumi was slammed at the front of the house and crushed it all night. Chef Mike kept orders flowing without missing a beat! Food and service were exceptional especially for the price... They were busy and my group came in with seven people, they had no seating and it was cold outside, they turned on a bunch of heaters just for us and set a whole table in the outside seating area.
