Fog Harbor Fish House: what do users think?

Jim Scott: Always great food and drinks, exceptional service, and great views of the ferry harbor. Our server, Jim, is a real pro - on top of his game. The house barrel aged old fashioned is always a must have. We've been there several times and have never had anything less than fantastic.

The Cavalier: what do users think?

Kate Whitcomb: This place is the most reliable, not trendy, classy and delicious spot for a great meal with friends at night or work stuff during the day. I’ve been many times over the years and can’t say enough about the delicious food, attentive five star service and the ambiance. Really impressed this time of year by the Christmas feel- definitely perfect for a chill, top-notch holiday meal with friends. Love it!

Justin Barker: I thought this would be over priced pub grub... So wrong! Service was attentive and knowledgeable and not overbearing. Drinks were delicious with small twists on familiar themes. Fish and chips were light and not greesy. Smoked deviled eggs were delicious. I wish they just came in bigger sets so I didn't feel like a glutton ordering so many. Oysters were exceptional. So Fresh and the minonette with a little lemon was bright and so yummy. Everything else was so tasty. I'll be back.

House of Prime Rib: what do users think?

Kimberli Hiller: Hands down the best meal of my life. The service was impeccable, they took my food allergy into account and I was served an excellent meal. For the price, your meal includes the creamed spinach, potato of your choice, salad, Yorkshire pudding, and then the prime rib itself with all the accoutrement. 10/10, make a reservation if you can but be warned they book out several months in advance. We walked in, put our name on the waitlist, and were seated about 1.5 hours after getting there. Worth every minute of wait time.

Luce Restaurant: what do users think?

Kartier: Just wow! Everything here, from service to drinks and food, is spectacular. I understand that this restaurant had lost a Michelin star a few years ago due to a change in chefs, but I fully expect them to get that back soon! The full dining experience was as fun as it was delicious. The chefs really put on a show and the photos below show how artistic the foods are. They also are accommodating to dietary restrictions and change their menu based on the season. We can’t wait to come back!

T T: Came for SF restaurant week. The restaurant is past the lobby of the Intercontinental. Parking was easy on the street, but apparently the restaurant also validates valet. Amuse-bouche and sourdough with butter were pleasant surprise additions to the menu. Appreciated the bread being cut all the way. Texture difference of crust and inside was great and arrived at a nice warm temperature. Got an old fashioned and it was nice and strong. Friend said her drink was pretty weak. Soup was also nice and warm. Crab was great and wished there was more of it. Duck was delicious, especially with the sauces. Yuzu dessert was perfect, coconut part was a bit distracting for me. Hotel staff was top notch with welcoming and guiding the way to the restaurant. Restaurant staff was attentive. Vibe was quiet and relaxing.

Christina Harsanyi: I don't often post reviews, but it's not often that I enjoy a meal so awe inspiring that it warrants a review. Luce is not dining; it is experiencing art. Each meal was beautifully prepared and the flavors so intriguing that the dishes felt different than other fine dining places I have visited. The meal started with a golden egg and each subsequent course offered a visual and culinary delight. From fish that was accompanied by a fish shaped cutout to sorbet garnished with edible flowers, each dish was prettier than the next. What's more, the service was impeccable. We had two vegetarians, two pescatarians and two carnivores with some allergy and alcohol restrictions as well. The kitchen beautifully prepared everyone's meals, even mixing up some festive mocktails. The wine pairing was perfect. From customized menus to individual name cards to four dessert courses, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel special for my birthday. I'm already counting down the days until next year's celebration.

Zingari Ristorante & Jazz Room: what do users think?

Laura Henderson: We held a 30-person corporate reception and dinner at Zingari last week. Our guests have shared so much positive feedback on the setup, service and food - all fabulous. As the organizer, I was relieved to choose from so many vegan/gluten-free options on the menu. Thanks Neeraj to you and your team for treating our guests to a wonderful evening - we'll be by next time we're in San Francisco.

Curt Hodge: Our group of 7 tried Zingari on a whim and were very pleased at the outcome. The cocktails were great and the food was nothing short of excellent. It was pretty expensive, so I guess we should expect more when you pay more, but even so, we were surprised at how great the experience was. They didn't have any music playing the night we had dinner, so I can't comment on how that would have impacted the experience. But if you're looking for really good Italian food and great drinks, and aren't on a tight budget, Zingari is a great option.

The Old Clam House: what do users think?

ROMMEL RIVERA: Great place for seafood in the Bayview district. They start you off with a shot of hot clam broth and after that you'll be treated to a great dinner menu. The half shell oysters and the rest of they're seafood entrées were as great as you were in fisherman's wharf also the steaks were cooked to perfection. Must have to try the cocktails they're made the old fashion way , very stiff and flavorful. Must come again to try the other side of the menu. This place has a lot of san Francisco history and nostalgia to look at.Vegetarian options: They offer salads but not too many.Parking: Parking is a little tough. Have to circle atleast twiceWheelchair accessibility: Have room to accommodate.

Rômulo Santos: Very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. They say they are the oldest restaurant still in operation in all of CA, dating back to the 1860s if Im not mistaken. I like how vintage the ambiance is, the huge bar they have inside and the friendly service as well. We got calamari, a very refreshing salad with cheese, walnuts, apples and cranberries and as our main courses were the Seawitch sandwich and some Bass with roast potatoes and veggies. Everything was pretty good specially our salad and the bass plus buttersauce. For dessert we had the guava pineapple gelato/sorbet, so good! Just wish it came in a bigger portion. Overall, very good stuff. Old fashioned and Aperol Spritz were also on point. Definitely coming back!

Christopher Chung: A beautifully renovated, historic landmark —in operation since the 1880s, perfect for hosting out-of-towners or a company occasion.Quality execution of classic seafood and Italian specialties — an excellent, high-quality option when in the industrial quarter of San Francisco.Wide selection of easily shareable appetizers. Oysters on the half shell, fresh and flavorful. Swordfish carpaccio, thinly sliced and ceviche marinated — served with capers, red onion and arugula greens. Perfectly fried Fritto Calamari and Friends includes not just squid but also shrimp and fish.Sautéed Gulf White Prawns, served with asparagus, roast potatoes and mushrooms — straight forward and solidly good.

Fang: what do users think?

Lorraine Mark: Love this place, especially the apple honey shrimp. I did feel a little let down by the service this time however. We came in as a party of 2 and were seated in the back right of the restaurant where one person has to face a wall. Tucked away, I felt a little forgotten by the servers throughout the meal. No one came over to check on us, and we had to call excuse me to get someone to come over for drink refills or boxes. You never want to be made to feel that you are an inconvenience to the restaurant. The saddest part was that as we were leaving, no one acknowledged us with a wave goodbye or a thank you for dining there. We have been there and at House of Nanking many times so hopefully this was just an anomaly, but feeling appreciated is what keeps people coming back.

The Big 4: what do users think?

Stephanie Dintcho: Wish they were open. I give it 5 stars for all the times I’ve been here as a little girl. I grew up eating here. This was our burger house. No one makes them like the Big 4. Sadly, Covid closed them down and they have not reopened. This was/is an Old San Franciscan place that old San Franciscan money would socialize, broker deals, enjoy the best burgers, see who’s who or be seen, etc… The live pianist and other instruments added to the class of this place. I always felt like I stepped back in time when I walked into this place. It just felt like home to me.As of 12/27/2021 they have yet to open. Very sad 😢

Nate Skinner: One of my favorite bars to eat dinner at in the entire city

Google RP: You can't go wrong at the Big 4. Though I kinda preferred the old dated style before the renovation - it had a real authetic old school San Francisco vibe - it is still a fantastic place to have drinks and enjoy a lovely part of town.

Giles Tuck: Fantastic 'old school' hotel bar. Seating is available in the dining room, at the bar itself or at various small tables dotted around. Recommend choosing tables near the fireplace for an excellent view of the live pianist. Bar menu has a modest choice but the burger is recommended. Limited beer selection, but cocktails are the way to go here.

Marc Blecher: Good bye dear friend! You've been our special place in SF's Yerba Buena Lane for 11 years!! Rancher's Table 4ever! Thank you Stacy and Adam for all the amazing memories!!

Jay Ambal: Nice place for a meeting and socializing

Audrey Morris: Duck confit pesto pasta was delicious as was the mushroom bolognese. Service was stellar. This was a non tipping restaurant which felt odd because it was the best service we have had at any restaurant in San Francisco. Lovely decor as well. Arty chic.

Stacy Ajouri: Food was good. Ordering process was very different using phone. Not my favorite prefer personal touch of a great waiter

Hungry Squirrel (Hungry Squirrel): Modern, clean, service is good. Little bet pricey. I ordered appetizer; bacon 3 pcs for $15.00 it’s good. I guess is special bacon 😬. The chicken was really good. My husband’s hamburger was really tasted good as well. I’ll recommend this place.

Nika V: The spot for Beef Wellington in Sf. They also have great wine selection. Overall 😋🤤Recommended dishes Beef Filet Wellington, Chicken Liver Mousse with Toast and Pickled Red Onion …

Albert Huang: Brought here by a vegetarian, and I’m happy to have experienced this place. I would never had tried this out myself being a meat lover but now I have a place I can bring vegetarian friends to. Not exactly sure what I had but it was tasty.

Steve Engle: Small, intimate restaurant with a menu listing whatever's fresh that day. "Got any specials?" "They're all specials."There were exactly two secondi options the night we went. I kind of wanted both but we'd done enough damage with starters and pastas it wasn't to be.It was the most authentically Italian dinner I've had in the city. Maybe some of that's due to the outrageously delicious tomatoes available this late in September. Chef knew what they had and made the most of it.Parking: Parking? It's Russian Hill. There's no parking.

Alana Dreimann: Always a great restaurant week menu

Delancey Street Restaurant: what do users think?

Kaitlyn Newman: Wow. Went here late in the evening after a long day. The service was amazing. The restaurant had a very high scale look so we were pleasantly surprised with the authenticity of the wait staff. Portions were bigger than I was expecting for the low price and the free bread was a wonderful treat. The cook on the steak was perfect. Only after did I learn that this facility is used for training members of the Delancey Street Foundation. What a special place.

Pamela Vong: Solid comfort food at very reasonable prices.

Sotto Mare: what do users think?

Sayana: If you're a seafood lover in San Francisco, Sotto Mare is an absolute must-visit. This unassuming gem tucked away in North Beach delivers an unforgettable seafood experience that will leave your taste buds singing. The cioppino is simply the best I've ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful, brimming with a medley of fresh seafood – Dungeness crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and fish – all cooked to perfection. Every spoonful is a symphony of flavors that will transport you straight to seafood heaven. But the culinary delights don't stop there. The Sanddab is also must-try, cooked to perfection, very light and delicious. Sotto Mare's oyster shooters are a revelation. The plump, briny oysters are perfectly complemented by the zesty cocktail sauce, creating a delightful explosion of taste that's both refreshing and invigorating. It's the perfect appetizer to kick off your seafood feast. The service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively and convivial.Must visit!
