Jon Gentile: Great safe atmosphere to train in. Good training!
Erik Welch: Great variety of classes, from Krav Maga, and Filipino Martial arts, to circuit training. Three good instructors with a range of experience and teaching methods. I've gotten in great shape, and occasionally have interesting bruises that I earned.
Enaida Belen: ADF is the place to go for Krav Maga! They have fantastic instructors and wonderful, supportive students. It’s a great environment! They offer several different classes and allow you to try them all out for free, for the first two weeks. Try it out. You will definitely want to sign up!
Ana Gutierrez: I highly recommend Academy of Combative Defense & fitness, if your are looking for physical and mental transformation you will learn what is like to be able to see what you can accomplish and how confidence grows within you. I look forward on staying with this great team for as long as possible.

Auguy Mangone: David understands the importance of giving the best to all the children under his program. A+++
Alyssa Piparo: Wushu has been so great. The coaches are kind and have so much patience. They tailor to the children’s needs and make them feel so welcome. We love taking our 2.5 year old son to class!
Davis Family: The instructors are amazing and patient! Our son has been going for over a year and it’s dramatically helped him!
Nhi Truong: This place is amazing. Very nice and helpful coaches. My older son started here 5 years ago and my younger son started 3 years ago. They both love this place very much. The coaches really put all of their mind and their heart to work with the children. They not only teach the kids the Kungfu but also teach them about positive behaviors. Highly recommend!
Deepa Hotchandani: We've been going to Wushu Central for quite some time now. All the coaches and Sifu Chang are truly exceptional. They are not only highly skilled but also incredibly passionate about what they do. My son loves going to Wushu Central as all the coaches are patient, approachable, and always willing to answer questions, making the learning process enjoyable and effective. One of the things that stood out to me was the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the class. Everyone, from the instructors to fellow students, are friendly and supportive. It created a sense of community, and my son felt comfortable from day one, which is essential for anyone trying something new.The instructors take time to understand the goals and abilities of each student, providing personalized guidance and feedback. This individualized attention helped my son to progress at his own pace and gives him the confidence to continue improving. Beyond the self-defense aspect, the class offers excellent physical and mental benefits. The training helps to improve fitness level and increases flexibility. Learning self-defense techniques is not just about gaining knowledge; it's about developing practical skills that can make you feel more secure in your daily life. This class gives the tools and confidence to protect yourself if the need ever arises.I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their physical fitness, learn self-defense, and be a part of a supportive and welcoming community. The knowledgeable and passionate instructors, comprehensive training, and friendly atmosphere makes Wushu Central an exceptional choice for anyone interested in martial arts.
Thai Tran: My kids have been going to wushi central for over 2 years and they love it. The coaches are very supportive and great with kids. Since joining, my kids have become better focus and disciplined while learning real life skills.
Kathy Ly Wagenhoffer: Wushu Central is like a second home for our family. Our two children are current students and both are always looking forward to going to class. The coaches are consistent with their teachings and provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment that fits all kinds of children’s needs and levels of learning. Our family is committed to Wushu Central for the long run. Sign your child up today - you will not regret it!
Bhawana Mishra: My daughter started here when she was 2.5 years old. We chose Wushu Central above all other places because they now only know wushu - they know kids. They include knowledge of child development into their curriculum, building life skills as well as martial arts skills. My daughter completed her third-degree black belt, and that's given her the confidence to persist in doing difficult things and to know her own strength. My son started classes in Fall 2021, while the pandemic was still going strong. Wushu Central not only pivoted to make their in-person classes very safe, but added an entire online program at a time when other studios would not pivot and wound up going out of business. I say this to show that Wushu Central takes their work and mission seriously. My husband also did TaiChi here for a while, so it's a whole family affair. :
Cristian Neri: improvements.Since kindergarten he received Adaptive PE. When he started Wushu, you could see the change within a year. This past August, his school coach said that all his tests had improved from 75% to 100% and in fact the tests before attending Wushu were 5% on the right side and 15% on the left side
Aruna Sharma: Truly professional even in their online format. Would recommend them for long term learning great forms and techniques of Wushu.Positive Communication, Professionalism, Value …
Amrit Kaur: Virat loves going to his private lessons and his group classes .
Chandrasekar Ganapathy Subramanian: and all of them had a great time
Lisa Kiehl: The instructors are very engaging and supportive. They have been great working with my hard-to-engage child. My other highly-motivated child is also constantly challenged and offered opportunities.

Cynthia H. (Debbijaine 820): My Grandson just started so I will have to do another review, but so far its been fun.
Navjot Sandhu: The teachers at this place are so good. Mr.Kevin is so helpful. He always replies to the emails quickly, answers all your questions at the desk. He makes sure the person is fully satisfied. All the teachers are very sincere and they make sure that the kids are perfect in what they are teaching.I would recommend this place to all the new parents who are looking for Martial Arts for their kids!
sruti patnaik: Love the concept and structure as its not just a martial arts class- they have extra leadership seminars that teach honesty, integrity, teamwork, public speaking.
Ankur Gupta: My kids have been going to Vision Martial Arts for the last two years and they have thoroughly enjoyed their experience so far. What I like about the program how life skills such as manners, courtesy, organization , time management etc. , are treated as foundation to the martial arts that the kids learn.Special mention to Master LeMat at the Vision Martial Arts center @ the Silver Creek center, who works extremely hard to keep it fun and energetic for the kids.
Sudhakar Gopalakrishnan: in their curriculum. I have seen that over the course of the program that kind of attentiveness to detail has brought forth a significant positive development in the kids. The instructors are awesome, curriculum is great and the Leadership Seminar by Master Waldschmidt is unique and lively.I definitely would recommend the school to anyone.
Shikha Gupta: This is a great Martial Arts studio .. They don't just teach karate, but also other qualities like confidence, discipline and respect. My kid has been here for almost a year and progressed very well. The instructors are amazing and the lessons are a great balance between serious learning and fun time. Highly recommend Vision Martial Arts for everyone .. Kids or adults.
Chidvi Doddi: jokes. He takes the time to help each and everyone of his students thus, instructors. The values the studio as if it was his home and values his students as if they were his child. Now, for the instructors, Mr. Krim is a great sparring coach and a great 2nd degree in general. He instructs very well and shows a funny and nice attitude. Most of the assistants for classes were because of him. Mr. Gray is a lovable guy and also gives it his all. Mr. Ramos and Ms. Gonzales instructing classes together are extremely great. Ramos has the humor and Gonzales has the teaching.Overall, I would recommend this amazing program. Children are our future and learning martial arts will support. The next time any one chokes you or pushes you, they'll know what to do.- Divitha and Chidvi
Uma Ayyer: My daughter started in this school last summer. She started as a beginner and has now graduated 3 levels. The teachers are amazing and Master Le Mat is a very patient and enthusiastic leader for the team there. My daughter loves going to martial arts classes and has also grown more responsible and mature. They teach much much more than martial arts - team building, discipline, values and reward good behavior.
Susan Busing: I highly recommend this martial arts school. The staff is knowledgeable, supportive, works extremely well with the students, and is very responsive to parents. Their all-inclusive price structure make study here reasonable and means you don't get nickel-and-dimed every time your student participates in an activity. Along with the leveled classes, there are leadership and fun activities which keep the enthusiasm level high among the kids.I appreciate the values-based program established by Master Kevin Waldschmidt that focuses on discipline, respect, and commitment. Participation in this program has helped my son both at school and home, and we try to incorporate the curriculum as much as possible into our home life. My son is half way to his black belt, and his desire to continue only increases the more he progresses. He is praised for his technique which increases his confidence. This in turn inspires him to work harder. It has been a joy watching the belt ceremonies and seeing all the kids perform, receive feedback, and improve. He is looking forward to entering high school with a black belt. Although that is still a ways away, he has been assisted by the Vision staff in setting intermediate goals, identifying adults who he can ask for support, and establishing a practice and lesson schedule to keep him on track. The long-term goal setting is an incredible experience for kids. The Silver Creek location is new, spacious, and clean. It is a joy to go watch a class. Master Andrew LeMat is in charge there, and he is an impressive teacher, practitioner, and site manger. My other children, while not students, have friends who happily study at Vision. It is a school that invests and participates in the community. If you are looking for a fun activity to increase yours or your child's confidence, focus, discipline, and fitness, then Vision Martial Arts is the place for you.
Karen Stevens: Vision Martial Arts puts a great deal of emphasis on what many schools look at as the "positive side effects" of being in martial arts... at Vision its the focus to develop kids who are confident, self-assured, strong and determined - and to do it through learning and mastering martial arts. Master LeMat is fantastic at teaching kids self-discipline through positive learning experiences. All of the senior instructors are great - my kids enjoy every one of them. But I do need to say a special thank you to Mr. Karim who has made both of my kids believe they can get to black belt through his encouragement and thoughtful teaching style.

Tim Yin: Awesome boxing classes with award winning boxing coach. Small classes so you get lots of attention on fixing your form and technique. Great place for boxers of all levels
Roger Rustad: I laughed, I cried, I kissed my shinbone good-bye
Ryan Cohn: High level of instruction, intense physical program, appropriate for people with all backgrounds/skill levels, friendly staff, great community. Would give 6/5 if I could, all around amazing gym!!
Alexandra Volkov: .After giving a birth I became more anxious and nervous while being home alone, it started seem almost like neurosis. Then my husband recommended me to try self-defence class and I found KMI. I was not sure if I'm doing right when I started the training. I thought that it could increase my panic and I will be constantly thinking about worse case scenario. But it turned out right opposite. This class gave me confidence and I became calmer and more relaxed. That is what I was looking for. They have an amazing instructors, they are so fun and professional and helpful and understanding. They all have a little bit different style of teaching which is also great because you can learn a lot from all of them!Unfortunately during the COVID they had to stop contact training. But they have online training which is so great! I just attended online workshop "women self-defence" and it was full of useful tips was way deeper and more structured than any Youtube video on this topic.I love their approach and highly recommend to everyone who wants to feel confident, empowered and strong - physically and
Emiliya Umrykhina: Great facility, tons of space, welcoming environment!
Nat Karauda: Great gym with fantastic teachers. One of the best martial arts places I’ve ever trained at outside of Okinawa. Highly recommend. The fitness classes are outstanding.
Bryan Kroger (krogebry): Love this place. I spend a lot of time here working out my frustrations from my daily grind. The heavy bags are worth the price of a class.
Gills: Great bjj lessons with champion Flavio Meier.
Yuliia Harel: Wonderful place. Instructors are the best! Just love it.
Neekon Saadat: A real overall strength and defense builder
Meg F.: The Santa Clara facility is amazing. It is huge and, beyond the normal heavy bags and mats, it has full tactical training available under many different conditions.Danny Zelig is an outstanding coach and trains his students to prepare, if possible, to be caught off-guard. This saves lives. Krav Maga Institute’s instructors foster a community attitude, healthy lifestyles, and trust among its members of all abilities.Krav maga is truly a self-defense system, and Danny reminds trainees that there are no boundaries or bells to signal the end of a fight in the real world. The fight is for your life, and you will learn to approach it accordingly. You will gain heightened situational awareness and muscle memory in order to capitalize on natural defensive reflexes, and learn to respond effectively to a variety of situations. Most importantly, you will learn to survive.I am not big, I am not strong, but I am still here. Danny and his instructors prepared me for the psychological strain of an attack on my life, and I believe that this helped me to survive a scenario that I should not have walked away from. For that, I will forever be a proponent of krav maga as a life-saving system, and Danny’s instruction in particular.
Carly Paige: Joining the Krav Maga Institute is one of the best decisions I've ever made!!! I am so thankful for having the opportunity to train at all 3 bay area locations, as well as the school in Fort Collins. Each instructor is as amazing as the next and they all are truly dedicated to what they do. I highly recommend the Krav Maga Institute to anyone interested in learning how to effectively defend yourself and your loved ones while also getting into great shape.

Luke Jones: Excellent BJJ gym. Was in town for work and was able to hit 3 days of no gi. I have next to none no gi experience, and professor Trevor and all the people at the gym were amazing. Awesome instruction and great people. Very welcoming. Can’t recommend it enough!
Austin Toloza: Heroes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an absolute gem in the world of martial arts! Situated in the heart, this dojo is not just a place to learn, but a community that welcomes you with open arms. As a newbie stepping onto the mats for the first time, I was met with nothing but encouragement and patience. Gumby and Eastside were awesome. The instructors here are top-notch, possessing a depth of knowledge that's truly inspiring. They take the time to ensure each student, regardless of experience, feels valued and understood. Beyond the technical skills, the camaraderie and team spirit within Heroes BJJ is palpable. Each session not only equips you with new moves but also instills discipline, resilience, and respect for the art. If you're considering diving into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, there’s no better place than Heroes BJJ to begin your journey. Oss!
Samson Hayilu: Great gym , but even better are the people. Gumby has cultivated a great jiu jitsu community from the ground up. Instructors are knowledgeable and generous with their time. What is wonderful as well, I believe Gumby is one of the first people to really develop a fundamentals curriculum that continuously rotates allowing beginners to jump in whenever. I live an hour away and still make it a point to drop in every blue moon to see my friends and train at Heroes.
Chinook Super Truck: I want to give this gym a 5 star review! I attend here several days a week. The reason why I joined this academy is because they’re very welcoming, the coaches are all very helpful, the mats are very clean, and especially because there is no ego here!!
Jake P: Was referred by an acquaintance.
Joe Brunello: Been going for about a year now. Great instructors.
Cesar Plasencia: This is an amazing Brazilian jiu-jitsu school. Jeannette Sanchez: . Otherwise would highly recommend!
david lee: My daughter Avery loves it here. The staff and the kids are really nice and friendly. Guerrilla makes it a fun and competitive place to train
Josh Munchel: Guerrilla has now been our Jiu-jitsu Academy for a little over two years. Matt and his team of coaches are super great with the kids and create a great learning environment for all ages.
Jeff Rosas: My Granddaughter has been trainingHere for 5 months, its going well shes meeting new friends, The facility is always clean. I'm very impressed with the trainers on how they try to give each person or kids their attention, They are always there to answer any questions at any given time that you may have No matter what the situation is Whether it's billing scheduling 1 on 1 training.
Steve Sun: We are a family with four generations of Judo/Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. At age three this was a great place for my son to begin his journey! Learning discipline and focus all while having fun! #bossbubba10
Cherylle Marsala: My cousin, nieces and kids train here and they all love it. My nieces and kids have been coming here since they were 3-4 years old. It’s been awesome to watch them progress. The coaches are really great at helping them learn in a way that is easy for them to comprehend. At first they were all shy but as they practiced and attended more classes their confidence grew along with their skillset. They have also learned how to incorporate things they have learned in other things that they do, which is amazing. i.e. my daughter does “ukemi” when she falls when she is playing soccer so she doesn’t hurt her head/back. The kids get excited and motivated each time the level up and we have made amazing friends here.
Nicholas Gudgeon: at other schools but Guerilla often has multiple black belts teaching the kids classes. Big props to the entire Guerilla team and the program they've created and maintained for over a decade. Highly recommend.
Getsemani Murcio: Great place for kids to learn how to protect themselves!
Lory S Obenza: My kids have been students here since 2015 and it’s been rewarding to see my kids’ growth and maturity thru the meticulous instruction and discipline of the academy. We will continue to build our JiuJitsu journey with Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu Academy.
Gino De Bernardo: I am grateful of the experience my children have had at this jiujitsu academy over the past year. From day one, the instructors displayed an incredible level of expertise and patience, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for learning. My children’s confidence and resilience have soared, thanks to the personalized attention and tailored instruction they receive. The academy's focus on discipline and respect has been instrumental in shaping not only their jiujitsu skills but also important life values. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with top-notch instructors. I can't recommend this academy enough for any parent looking to provide their child with an exceptional jiujitsu education and a supportive community. We’ve enjoyed our experience so much that we had a birthday party here and I have started with the adult fundamental classes. 5 Stars
Hoa .L: Friendly people talented instructors. It's a lifestyle 5 years commitment at least 4 results.Would love to come back and play 4 free with Jose.
J W: Clean Gym, deep level of skill, friendly atmosphere.
FaeTea: Excellent setup and instruction. It was my first time and it was immediately welcoming and comfortable and challenging in the best way. I am looking forward to continuing here. Strongly recommend!
Arshia: Awesome Coaches!!👍
Vimal Balu: Fantastic.. a dope place to learn jiu jitsu. The teaching, the rolling, the community are all caliber. The facility is clean and well maintained. It is a friendly environment for those who are new to martial arts/combat sports. Its rare a sight at other gyms when you see upper belts jump in and immediately orient and help new students, but this not the case at Guerilla San Jose. From when I started, I have had upper belts offer their time, energy, and knowledge to improve my jiu jitsu. They recently updated their mats with judo floors so there is a springiness to them. It is very friendly for your back and physical longevity.Coach Matt and Chris and the other coaches are world class instructors and more importantly keep jiu jitsu fun and fresh for all speeds, all competitor levels, and all ages too. They teach everyone from 3 year olds to 60 year olds. That is remarkable. It's never stale and there's always a new take on different materials. At open mats, other athletes and members from other gyms are allowed to train. This is an important.Challenge yourself, have fun, and be around a caliber group of individuals at Guerilla San Jose.

Jeremiah Leeper: I’ve been with Ralph Gracie since October of last year and it’s addictive. Solid professors with great teaching and techniques. I’m committed and will be in this game forever. It’s not for the faint of heart but if you want to learn Brazilian jujitsu here is where you should come. Professor Dorian , Gene and Adisa are top notch and great people.
FREE LIFE TV: Incredible BJJ gym we found while on vacation. Professor Dorian was incredible in welcoming our family into their gym. My son Matteo had an amazing wrestling class Friday with many partners his size. Saturday Matteo did the competition class and was shown very highevel new moves he enjoyed. Absolutely 10 plus rating!
HalfDozenFlowers: We were working out of town and just needed to put in some time in a gym and we found Ralph's spot and had a great time. Very welcoming and inclusive. Cool spot and the instructors were great. Very reasonable for drop ins.
D'Angelo Castillo: The professors and more experienced members are very welcoming to new people and give helpful pointers. Instruction is excellent, I've only been here a few months and I can tell I'm learning and improving. Also they have a great Black Friday sale on the year-long membership, so November is a great time to join!
石田隆章: I am totally satisfied with their Kick Boxing class! I started joining the class when I came to Santa Clara, one and half years ago. At that time I just take the class as drop-in member but I sifted to monthly membership because the class was pretty nice, useful, and fun! Especially trainers are pretty good and kind for both beginners and experienced people. Now I take 3 times a week after finishing daily works. I recommend you to join for physical and mental health. Average people who join a class are 10 and now increasing. Women are more than 40 %. The monthly fee has been lowered, making it easier to participate!
Joshua Tuman: Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value
David Goossens: I enjoy training here. The instructors are great and the atmosphere is welcoming to new people. Higher belts have been very helpful and patient with me while rolling. Highly Recommended.

Jose Ambriz Vega: I’ve been at Ralph Gracie for over a year now. Due to Covid I’ve had to take many months off but can’t wait to go back. I began my jiu jitsu journey as a casual practitioner and slowly gained respect for the sport. Ralph Gracie SJ has a staff that makes you feel welcomed no matter what kind of practitioner you are. The staff is highly knowledgeable and patient. I would recommend Ralph Gracie SJ to anyone who wishes to dabble in the art of jiu jitsu whether it’s for fitness, competition, or overall well being. This is the place to be.
Ryan Oliver: From the moment I walked in the door the first time, the instructors were enthusiastic, professional, and welcoming. The last year and a half I feel like I gained a second home and family. brian moffat: Awesome local gym. If your kid is into any kind of martial art, this is the place to go! Great chill environment, great instructors, tons of classes.
Robert Upton: I have trained at the Ralph Gracie academy in the peninsula and South Bay for nearly five years. I started as a noob white belt and am now a purple belt. The instructors, and fellow students have provided a challenging, safe, and welcoming environment to grow into the practice of Jiu-Jitsu. The journey is not easy, but is very rewarding. The instructors at the academy include head instructor, Justin "Machine" Holder, Dorian "D" Cartwright, and Darren "Chef" Ogasawara. The standard of instruction is high with emphasis on solid and consistent fundamentals, sustainable practice, self-defense, and practical execution. The community at the academy are welcoming and hard working, which are essential to learning and getting better. If you are a competitor, hobbyist, have fitness goals, or want a more interesting experience than the gym check out our two locations in San Jose and Santa Clara.
Lesley Kubo: My boys have been going to RGSJ for about a year now, and the instructors and community there have really helped my boys with their self confidence. They have a sense of belonging along with learning that the disciplines they are taught are not just for the academy but also for whatever they encounter in life. My 6 year old has learned to focus better in school, and has gained so much self discipline since he has started. The coaches show and practice what it means to not only be physically strong, but also mentally strong. It is nice to see that this is not only a family friendly environment, but also the care the coaches bring really emphasize how much they want their students to be well rounded individuals.

Benjamin Hou: Great school! Had an awesome training session with some old friends. Tyler, the instructor, did a great job breaking down technique and he’s a high level competitor to boot! Nick is also an amazing gym and association owner and does great things for the sport. Come here for awesome training, especially if you’re a competitor!
Fernando Romero: Incredible place to workout and learn. It has the necessary tools for a BJJ gym and the people there are welcoming. The only downside is parking. However, if you arrive 30min before class, it should be easier to find a spot.
Dennis Weaver: I had an amazing experience at Caio Terra Academy! Grateful to Don and the rest of the team for their hospitality in letting me drop in while I was in town. The coaches were knowledgeable, the facility is top-notch, and the training environment extremely welcoming.Five stars for a memorable and positive experience and I will be stopping in to roll anytime I am in town.
Dave K: Best place to train in the Bay Area. Caio is a wizard and a visionary and Nick runs a tight ship. Great for beginners, complete noobs and world class jiu jitsu players alike. Very welcoming gym that caters to all skill levels. Caio really cares about your progress as a student. I am always amazed at his ability to remembers your name, even if he’s only spoken to you once or twice. Clean and modern facilities. Bring back the Kombucha tap!
Charles R: is the jiu jitsu gym to be at when you visit the Bay Area. I travelled to CTA from Australia for a camp and could not recommend it enough for international, interstate or local visitors. This gym has everything you need, from world class instructors who actually teach the class, like Caio Terra and Mason Fowler themselves, to a dedicated space for weightlifting and cardio. There is tons of mat space for jiu jitsu, with multiple classes run each day catering to all levels and ages, from kids to adults looking to get fit or to get an introduction to the sport, to intermediate athletes and high levelled competitors. There is a community like vibe when you attend classes and it is very easy to make friends at this gym. There are no egos in this gym. I came here not knowing anyone else and will be leaving with fun memories and friends that I will stay in touch with for a lifetime.Thank you CTA and all of the staff for your hospitality and I look forward to returning in the future when I am back in the Bay Area!
jle: They have a welcoming culture and great teachers. Definitely newbie-friendly but they also offer advanced classes for growth.
Kasia Watkins: What a great place for the kids to learn the JJ techniques, discipline while having fun. It's so wonderful and it's such an honor to be a part of the Ciao Terra family!
Mareike Joe: This review is for the Kids Jiu Jitsu and CT FIT classes. The review is long overdue and if I could rate this place 10 stars, I would. My son started Jiu Jitsu here 4 years ago when he was 4 years old. At the time, I didn’t know anything about the sport. Instead I was just looking for an exhausting activity for him in a fun, safe environment. CTA was the perfect fit. The coaches here are passionate about the sport and have lots of experience to share with their students.Jiu Jitsu has been amazing for my son. First, classes are such confidence boosters - which make him an undesirable target for bullies anywhere. Second, post pandemic, a lot of kids need some help with social emotional development. This place hits the spot. The classes have an excellent mix of ages and skill levels, and everyone is learning how to interact respectfully. Third, the coaches foster an environment of belonging and friendly competition. The reward is learning a new skill/technique and growing as a person not the color of your belt. Now, one of my absolute favorite things is CT FIT. The scheduling is perfect for parents having their kids in Jiu Jitsu because the CT FIT classes are at the same time!! They also offer morning classes on most days. The equipment is top notch and the coaches are committed and professional. Taking these classes has been instrumental in my recovery from injuries. The coaches have been nothing but supportive and helping me adjust the workouts to my level. Although I have seen a bunch of gyms and trainers in the past, nothing compares to CT FIT. I enjoy the small group training atmosphere with students of all ages and abilities. It’s super!
Dean Sherrell: The BJJ journey is one that is as individual as the practitioner. It is amazing to have a team of peers as well as coaches so engaged to help make that journey take the route you want and are willing to work towards. This can only be accomplished by having a leader at the top creating such an inclusive culture. One Team, One Family!
Mehdi Kousha: I had the pleasure of training at Caio Terra BJJ, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The expertise and dedication of the instructors are truly remarkable. The atmosphere in the gym is both welcoming and challenging, creating the perfect environment for growth and improvement. The technical knowledge and attention to detail in their teaching make it a fantastic place for both beginners and advanced practitioners. The curriculum is well-structured, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.Furthermore, the camaraderie among the students is outstanding. You'll find a supportive and friendly community that motivates you to push your boundaries and reach your full potential.I can confidently say that Caio Terra BJJ deserves a solid 5-star rating for their commitment to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the development of their students. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a beginner, this is the place to be for high-quality training and a welcoming community.
baris evrim demiroz: . As a hobbyist I really don't like this rule. Most of the other people that I talked to doesn't like this policy too.Update: It started getting crowded. Especially I feel like the mat space is usually not enough during nogi classes.
Adrian Whitford: Amazing club. Great instruction, friendly people. Perfect 😊
Holy Scythe: Stellar Jiu Jitsu School. If You know, You Know. If You don’t, they’ll help You figure it out. Don’t miss an Opportunity to Train with some of the Greatest Minds to ever Do It.
Mark Zee: .
Oz Ozel: Excellent academy! Before pandemic both my kids and I used to train here. Caio and all coaches are fantastic! Everybody is respectful and friendly. I'm looking forward to returning this year!
KA H: and pre-existing injuries. I even opted to take a second class directly after my first. If you're in the San Jose area, make sure to stop by the academy; you'll definitely have fun and will also learn a ton.
Karan Srivastava: CTA is a fantastic, really positive place to learn jiujitsu in a motivating environment. Professor Caio, Nick, Gabriel, and all the instructors and members create and environment where every student feels welcome, comfortable asking questions, challenge themselves to whatever degree they want, and just have fun. I’ve been training for a few months at a different CTA location and stopped by for some classes while I was in San Jose, and whether it’s at HQ or elsewhere, I’m always grateful for the positive atmosphere all the CTA instructors and members create every time I’ve gone. With that, a truly rich curriculum, and mindful pedagogical practices, I can’t recommend CTA enough to anyone interested in learning jiujitsu at any level.
Mason Fowler: Best JiuJitsu in the area by far. Whether you’re a beginner or a black belt, CTA has the perfect program for you!

Ken Ma: I went to this gym a few years ago, and the first thing I noticed were all the mats. I joined the gym for Muay Thai, which was decent, but their BJJ program was what I caught my eye. It was always filled, and everyone was friendly.
Joseph Fontana: This is my first time doing any type of martial arts ever and I’m in my late 20s. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and was pretty nervous to spar with people. Don’t worry, they will take you aside in the beginning and help you get comfortable. If you’re having any doubts, put them aside! This place is awesome. Everyone here wants you to learn. The instructors are there to answer any questions you have. I’ve been here about 6 months and it’s addicting. I can’t wait to go to the next class each time.
Dian Qi: Awesome place to learn BJJ. Very structured learning environment especially when you’re new, they take you off to the side for the first few weeks when you’re completely new instead of just throwing you in with the whole class.Instructors are very skilled and patient and are genuinely interested to help you get better. All the more experienced students have the same attitude as well.
Maziel Velasquez: Great place to learn BJJ. I’ve been training for an while and has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Constantly learning from the instructors and teammates. Very spacious and clean facility.
Aiden Tang: I've been here for almost 3 years. The coaches are very kind and patient and know what they are teaching with their great techniques. The people there are also super kind and patient there. I've met some of the nicest people I know from here and I've meet some of my closet friends here. Great Place!
ChristiaN pEREZ: Been coming here since 2016. I have always enjoyed my time here. Everyone is nice and patient. The higher belts are always willing to teach new technique to the lower belts
Dom Ouano: so much fun
Gerardo Lopez: I’m new to jujitsu, I’ve gone for two weeks and I enjoy it, everyone is cool, and no negative energy in sight.
ty boroumand: really are patient and put in a good effort to help you improve your skills. Everyone here is so supportive and is willing to help one another. On top of the positive vibes from everyone. The gym itself has arguably the biggest mat you will find for rolling
Ben Burling: Gloglo is a great place to start out if you're just beginning. It's a very supportive environment. Great overall vibe from all the players.
Tri Nguyen: People here are very nice and skilled. They won’t hesitate to help you and are very technical with techniques.
Xinlin Feng: People here is very patient and friendly, as a beginner, here is a good place for me to start my BJJ training.
Andy Lu: Traditional Brazilian Jiu jitsu taught by a black belt from Brazil. The instructor Leonardo is super knowledgeable in jiu jitsu and it shows in the way he teaches. Leonardo is very patient and down to earth. I've been here for about 4 months now and I love the vibe! I'm a bigger dude and for all you bigger dudes out there this is the place for you. Leonardo matches up all the partners so the little dudes can’t run away lol. Oh ya, if your not ready to commit, check out their Groupon!
CARLOS PELAYO: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI enrolled my son and I really like the ambience and discipline. Instructors are really patient and knowledgeable. My son really enjoys his time there the pandemic really took a toll on all of us but he is getting back on track being active on a weekly basis. I would definitely recommend !!
