Ralph Gracie Jiu Jitsu - San Jose: what do users think?

Jeremiah Leeper: I’ve been with Ralph Gracie since October of last year and it’s addictive. Solid professors with great teaching and techniques. I’m committed and will be in this game forever. It’s not for the faint of heart but if you want to learn Brazilian jujitsu here is where you should come. Professor Dorian , Gene and Adisa are top notch and great people.

FREE LIFE TV: Incredible BJJ gym we found while on vacation. Professor Dorian was incredible in welcoming our family into their gym. My son Matteo had an amazing wrestling class Friday with many partners his size. Saturday Matteo did the competition class and was shown very highevel new moves he enjoyed. Absolutely 10 plus rating!

HalfDozenFlowers: We were working out of town and just needed to put in some time in a gym and we found Ralph's spot and had a great time. Very welcoming and inclusive. Cool spot and the instructors were great. Very reasonable for drop ins.

D'Angelo Castillo: The professors and more experienced members are very welcoming to new people and give helpful pointers. Instruction is excellent, I've only been here a few months and I can tell I'm learning and improving. Also they have a great Black Friday sale on the year-long membership, so November is a great time to join!

石田隆章: I am totally satisfied with their Kick Boxing class! I started joining the class when I came to Santa Clara, one and half years ago. At that time I just take the class as drop-in member but I sifted to monthly membership because the class was pretty nice, useful, and fun! Especially trainers are pretty good and kind for both beginners and experienced people. Now I take 3 times a week after finishing daily works. I recommend you to join for physical and mental health. Average people who join a class are 10 and now increasing. Women are more than 40 %. The monthly fee has been lowered, making it easier to participate!

Joshua Tuman: Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value

David Goossens: I enjoy training here. The instructors are great and the atmosphere is welcoming to new people. Higher belts have been very helpful and patient with me while rolling. Highly Recommended.

Patrick McGee: The instructors are patient and knowledgeable. The other students are very welcoming. This is a great place to train, for beginners or experienced people alike.

Ilya Nikolskiy: Great team, friendly people around and professional classes. Alway happy to come to this place. Thanks!Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value …

Spencer Maughan: Positive:QualityExperienced instructors focused on providing quality training for children and adults. The academy has a very respectful atmosphere. My family and I really enjoy rolling here as well as the Santa Clara site.

Bryan Archpru: The instruction here is great, everyone is friendly and encouraging.Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value …

Jose Ambriz Vega: I’ve been at Ralph Gracie for over a year now. Due to Covid I’ve had to take many months off but can’t wait to go back. I began my jiu jitsu journey as a casual practitioner and slowly gained respect for the sport. Ralph Gracie SJ has a staff that makes you feel welcomed no matter what kind of practitioner you are. The staff is highly knowledgeable and patient. I would recommend Ralph Gracie SJ to anyone who wishes to dabble in the art of jiu jitsu whether it’s for fitness, competition, or overall well being. This is the place to be.

Ryan Oliver: From the moment I walked in the door the first time, the instructors were enthusiastic, professional, and welcoming. The last year and a half I feel like I gained a second home and family. Cant say enough good things about the instructors, students, and establishment!Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism, Value …

Daniel Marquez: just Men and Women who seem to love what they do and are happy to share there experiences.Positive Communication, Professionalism, Value …

brian moffat: Awesome local gym. If your kid is into any kind of martial art, this is the place to go! Great chill environment, great instructors, tons of classes.

Robert Upton: I have trained at the Ralph Gracie academy in the peninsula and South Bay for nearly five years. I started as a noob white belt and am now a purple belt. The instructors, and fellow students have provided a challenging, safe, and welcoming environment to grow into the practice of Jiu-Jitsu. The journey is not easy, but is very rewarding. The instructors at the academy include head instructor, Justin "Machine" Holder, Dorian "D" Cartwright, and Darren "Chef" Ogasawara. The standard of instruction is high with emphasis on solid and consistent fundamentals, sustainable practice, self-defense, and practical execution. The community at the academy are welcoming and hard working, which are essential to learning and getting better. If you are a competitor, hobbyist, have fitness goals, or want a more interesting experience than the gym check out our two locations in San Jose and Santa Clara.

Lesley Kubo: My boys have been going to RGSJ for about a year now, and the instructors and community there have really helped my boys with their self confidence. They have a sense of belonging along with learning that the disciplines they are taught are not just for the academy but also for whatever they encounter in life. My 6 year old has learned to focus better in school, and has gained so much self discipline since he has started. The coaches show and practice what it means to not only be physically strong, but also mentally strong. It is nice to see that this is not only a family friendly environment, but also the care the coaches bring really emphasize how much they want their students to be well rounded individuals.

Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu Martial Arts Academy: what do users think?

Andrew Petersen: We are so glad we signed our son up at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu. Coach Ben does a great job with the kids. He is a great leader and is very good and giving direction to the kids for them to comprehend the techniques he is teaching.

Anna Leblanc: Awesome gym, awesome instructors, awesome people and training partner. Been going for about 3 month consistently and loving it ! Also starting to have a solid little group of girls that come train so if you are a women and want to join please come try out !!

J Garcia Reyesty: in Jiu Jitsu and Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu had the best kids curriculum around. Definitely recommend!

Jeannette Sanchez: . Otherwise would highly recommend!

david lee: My daughter Avery loves it here. The staff and the kids are really nice and friendly. Guerrilla makes it a fun and competitive place to train

Josh Munchel: Guerrilla has now been our Jiu-jitsu Academy for a little over two years. Matt and his team of coaches are super great with the kids and create a great learning environment for all ages.

Jeff Rosas: My Granddaughter has been trainingHere for 5 months, its going well shes meeting new friends, The facility is always clean. I'm very impressed with the trainers on how they try to give each person or kids their attention, They are always there to answer any questions at any given time that you may have No matter what the situation is Whether it's billing scheduling 1 on 1 training.

Steve Sun: We are a family with four generations of Judo/Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. At age three this was a great place for my son to begin his journey! Learning discipline and focus all while having fun! #bossbubba10

Cherylle Marsala: My cousin, nieces and kids train here and they all love it. My nieces and kids have been coming here since they were 3-4 years old. It’s been awesome to watch them progress. The coaches are really great at helping them learn in a way that is easy for them to comprehend. At first they were all shy but as they practiced and attended more classes their confidence grew along with their skillset. They have also learned how to incorporate things they have learned in other things that they do, which is amazing. i.e. my daughter does “ukemi” when she falls when she is playing soccer so she doesn’t hurt her head/back. The kids get excited and motivated each time the level up and we have made amazing friends here.

Nicholas Gudgeon: at other schools but Guerilla often has multiple black belts teaching the kids classes. Big props to the entire Guerilla team and the program they've created and maintained for over a decade. Highly recommend.

Getsemani Murcio: Great place for kids to learn how to protect themselves!

Lory S Obenza: My kids have been students here since 2015 and it’s been rewarding to see my kids’ growth and maturity thru the meticulous instruction and discipline of the academy. We will continue to build our JiuJitsu journey with Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu Academy.

Gino De Bernardo: I am grateful of the experience my children have had at this jiujitsu academy over the past year. From day one, the instructors displayed an incredible level of expertise and patience, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for learning. My children’s confidence and resilience have soared, thanks to the personalized attention and tailored instruction they receive. The academy's focus on discipline and respect has been instrumental in shaping not only their jiujitsu skills but also important life values. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with top-notch instructors. I can't recommend this academy enough for any parent looking to provide their child with an exceptional jiujitsu education and a supportive community. We’ve enjoyed our experience so much that we had a birthday party here and I have started with the adult fundamental classes. 5 Stars

Hoa .L: Friendly people talented instructors. It's a lifestyle 5 years commitment at least 4 results.Would love to come back and play 4 free with Jose.

J W: Clean Gym, deep level of skill, friendly atmosphere.

FaeTea: Excellent setup and instruction. It was my first time and it was immediately welcoming and comfortable and challenging in the best way. I am looking forward to continuing here. Strongly recommend!

Arshia: Awesome Coaches!!👍

Vimal Balu: Fantastic.. a dope place to learn jiu jitsu. The teaching, the rolling, the community are all caliber. The facility is clean and well maintained. It is a friendly environment for those who are new to martial arts/combat sports. Its rare a sight at other gyms when you see upper belts jump in and immediately orient and help new students, but this not the case at Guerilla San Jose. From when I started, I have had upper belts offer their time, energy, and knowledge to improve my jiu jitsu. They recently updated their mats with judo floors so there is a springiness to them. It is very friendly for your back and physical longevity.Coach Matt and Chris and the other coaches are world class instructors and more importantly keep jiu jitsu fun and fresh for all speeds, all competitor levels, and all ages too. They teach everyone from 3 year olds to 60 year olds. That is remarkable. It's never stale and there's always a new take on different materials. At open mats, other athletes and members from other gyms are allowed to train. This is an important.Challenge yourself, have fun, and be around a caliber group of individuals at Guerilla San Jose.

Gloglo Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Kickboxing & Fitness Academy: what do users think?

Ken Ma: I went to this gym a few years ago, and the first thing I noticed were all the mats. I joined the gym for Muay Thai, which was decent, but their BJJ program was what I caught my eye. It was always filled, and everyone was friendly.

Joseph Fontana: This is my first time doing any type of martial arts ever and I’m in my late 20s. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and was pretty nervous to spar with people. Don’t worry, they will take you aside in the beginning and help you get comfortable. If you’re having any doubts, put them aside! This place is awesome. Everyone here wants you to learn. The instructors are there to answer any questions you have. I’ve been here about 6 months and it’s addicting. I can’t wait to go to the next class each time.

Dian Qi: Awesome place to learn BJJ. Very structured learning environment especially when you’re new, they take you off to the side for the first few weeks when you’re completely new instead of just throwing you in with the whole class.Instructors are very skilled and patient and are genuinely interested to help you get better. All the more experienced students have the same attitude as well.

Maziel Velasquez: Great place to learn BJJ. I’ve been training for an while and has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Constantly learning from the instructors and teammates. Very spacious and clean facility.

Aiden Tang: I've been here for almost 3 years. The coaches are very kind and patient and know what they are teaching with their great techniques. The people there are also super kind and patient there. I've met some of the nicest people I know from here and I've meet some of my closet friends here. Great Place!

ChristiaN pEREZ: Been coming here since 2016. I have always enjoyed my time here. Everyone is nice and patient. The higher belts are always willing to teach new technique to the lower belts

Dom Ouano: so much fun

Gerardo Lopez: I’m new to jujitsu, I’ve gone for two weeks and I enjoy it, everyone is cool, and no negative energy in sight.

ty boroumand: really are patient and put in a good effort to help you improve your skills. Everyone here is so supportive and is willing to help one another. On top of the positive vibes from everyone. The gym itself has arguably the biggest mat you will find for rolling

Ben Burling: Gloglo is a great place to start out if you're just beginning. It's a very supportive environment. Great overall vibe from all the players.

Tri Nguyen: People here are very nice and skilled. They won’t hesitate to help you and are very technical with techniques.

Xinlin Feng: People here is very patient and friendly, as a beginner, here is a good place for me to start my BJJ training.

Andy Lu: Traditional Brazilian Jiu jitsu taught by a black belt from Brazil. The instructor Leonardo is super knowledgeable in jiu jitsu and it shows in the way he teaches. Leonardo is very patient and down to earth. I've been here for about 4 months now and I love the vibe! I'm a bigger dude and for all you bigger dudes out there this is the place for you. Leonardo matches up all the partners so the little dudes can’t run away lol. Oh ya, if your not ready to commit, check out their Groupon!

CARLOS PELAYO: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI enrolled my son and I really like the ambience and discipline. Instructors are really patient and knowledgeable. My son really enjoys his time there the pandemic really took a toll on all of us but he is getting back on track being active on a weekly basis. I would definitely recommend !!

Claudio Franca Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: what do users think?

Alex: Awesome place to learn and practice BJJ for kids and adults. Really friendly atmosphere for everyone and they recently launched fundamentals class if you are just starting out.

Nancy Gomez: Really affordable family prices. I love that I can get a work out tailored for adults. I can also work out at the same time as my kids. I hour and your done ✅

Alex Keyser: Great environment for all ages to learn Jiu Jitsu and/or kick boxing.

Mike Mignosa: Visited from San Diego, and they were nice enough to let me pop in for a class. Great school, and a great teacher. Looking forward to coming back.

A Babushka: This place just feels like home. Students receive top level instruction from world class instructors with bjj roots going directly back to Helio Gracie. They offer daily kids and family classes as well adult classes. The facility is huge and has tons of mat space and punching bags for kickboxing training along with a great weight lifting area and clean bathrooms.Go visit this gym to get a great workout, gain self confidence and learn self defense skills and meet some really great people.

Henry: train here nearly everyday - we usually do the lunch time classes and take the kids for the evening training. It’s like our second home. The instructions are first rate for both the kids and adults classes. The couple who teach the afternoon and kids classes, Anaue and Thamara, are world class competitors who have extensive knowledge of the sport. They are extremely detail oriented and are incredible at conveying the information. Erik, the owner, also teaches the noon classes and has had the best details I’ve ever seen for fundamentals.I’ve been training for nearly 10 years and have moved all over the country, going to many different schools from old school Gracie lineages to modern day competition schools, and this is easily among the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to train in. I literally walk in everyday with a smile on my face.

Jonathan Byers: Our experience at Claudio França BJJ in San Jose has been fantastic. The owner, Eric, is very personable and knowledgeable. The other instructors are very patient and clearly enjoy teaching newcomers and have a passion for the sport. This is not only a phenomenal work-out, but it is truly a lifestyle change. My family, including my wife, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son and I have all joined together and we enjoy the Little Jaguars class. We all learn new techniques and have been accepted by the instructors and students alike. You get what you give in sparring sessions, no one is trying to injure you, and you learn discipline and to leave you ego at the door. If you’re looking for something to build confidence, strength, respect, discipline and encourage a team building mentality for you or your family, this is the gym for you.OSS!

Goloka Bernal: Akrura was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable.

Richie V: This is the best jiu jitsu gym I've ever been to. I met The Real Claudio there. He was such a great person. He made me feel like I had been training there for a long time. The students and instructor I met there, were some of the coolest people I've met in san Jose. Please forgive me for not enrolling immediately after I said I would. I fell into a great depression and had a hard time finding myself in San Jose. You were the only people who didn't make me feel minuscule, but rather uplifted my spirit with sincere friendships through the brotherhood. Oss!!!I'll be back.

Tim V: Great school! Positive atmosphere, knowledgable instructors. With the new gym that they moved to, there is a ton of space for rolling.

Mark: Good old school training at this gym. If your looking for a tough place to learn how to roll this is your place

Danhui Nai: A fatastic place to learn, to train. Tolerant, helpful, kind peers, mentors. Clean, safe environment. Best place to train BJJ.

Louie Sandoval: awesome place to train! My son has been training here at Claudio Franca Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy for roughly 6 years. My daughters and wife have all taking classes here as well. very friendly and professional environment. Great instructors with experience and knowledge.

Heroes Martial Arts: what do users think?

Luke Jones: Excellent BJJ gym. Was in town for work and was able to hit 3 days of no gi. I have next to none no gi experience, and professor Trevor and all the people at the gym were amazing. Awesome instruction and great people. Very welcoming. Can’t recommend it enough!

Austin Toloza: Heroes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an absolute gem in the world of martial arts! Situated in the heart, this dojo is not just a place to learn, but a community that welcomes you with open arms. As a newbie stepping onto the mats for the first time, I was met with nothing but encouragement and patience. Gumby and Eastside were awesome. The instructors here are top-notch, possessing a depth of knowledge that's truly inspiring. They take the time to ensure each student, regardless of experience, feels valued and understood. Beyond the technical skills, the camaraderie and team spirit within Heroes BJJ is palpable. Each session not only equips you with new moves but also instills discipline, resilience, and respect for the art. If you're considering diving into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, there’s no better place than Heroes BJJ to begin your journey. Oss!

Samson Hayilu: Great gym , but even better are the people. Gumby has cultivated a great jiu jitsu community from the ground up. Instructors are knowledgeable and generous with their time. What is wonderful as well, I believe Gumby is one of the first people to really develop a fundamentals curriculum that continuously rotates allowing beginners to jump in whenever. I live an hour away and still make it a point to drop in every blue moon to see my friends and train at Heroes.

Chinook Super Truck: I want to give this gym a 5 star review! I attend here several days a week. The reason why I joined this academy is because they’re very welcoming, the coaches are all very helpful, the mats are very clean, and especially because there is no ego here!!

Jake P: Was referred by an acquaintance.

Joe Brunello: Been going for about a year now. Great instructors.

Cesar Plasencia: This is an amazing Brazilian jiu-jitsu school. The instructors are top-notch, and the overall culture of the class is friendly and welcoming to both seasoned practitioners and complete beginners. I highly recommend anyone looking to learn and practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu to check out this school.

Miguel: Amazing gym! Dropped in for an open mat and wow, everyone was super welcoming and the level of competition is excellent. There are some ridiculously high level people here, and the overall vibe is nice and chill with no egos. Everything is very clean and I love that they have a shower, highly recommended!

miles kpg: Chillest jiu jitsu gym you'll find out here.Awesome community.Protect your neck tho 😉.

adisa banjoko: Amazing facility with top notch instructors.

Francisco Ojeda: Love this place

Jasmine Cancino: Excellent community. Everyone is encouraging each other to practice and strong female fellowship.

Kris Harrell: Had a great time training at Heroes. I was in town on business and dropped in for fundamentals class and open mat. Gumby and all his students were super friendly and welcoming. I was even treated to a Greek mythology lesson while learning half guard principles.

All Sport Mixed Martial Arts: what do users think?

Zander Landvater: Best in the Bay, highly recommend

Alvaro Reyes: Excellent gym and very friendly coach

Logan Meeks: I’ve been training here for a year now and I love this place like a second home. Coach jay and his wife Gina are the nicest people you will ever meet and by far the best coaching I’ve ever experienced. I spent a lot of time trying out dozens of dojo’s and mma gyms in the Bay Area trying to find the best one possible with the best training available. Although there are some good places out there, none of them come close to “ALL SPORT MMA”. I knew I found my home after the first day. Coach jay is not only an amazing coach and a nice guy, he is a straight up professional when it comes to both striking and grappling. He has skills that most people can only dream of having. That being said I’m Team “all sport” for life!

Mike Mouris: This is a great place to work out! The entire staff really cares about the folks who go there. I`ve been going to their aerobic classes on average about three times a week and I can`t imagine a more thorough and fun way work out. You will get in shape quickly if you go to All Sport Mixed Martial Arts on a regular basis. And you`ll enjoy the people as well.

Sean Bracy: I’ve been training with all sport for over 16 years from when I was a small kid to now as an adult. There’s always something new to learn with challenging partners in a friendly, constructive environment. We’re always ready to work with and accommodate new people’s needs and wants to help facilitate useful, fun training for anyone who wants to come in and learn. We offer kickboxing, Brazilian jujitsu, MMA and fitness classes and we’re always flexible for people who want to work on specific things. Come on in and train with us.

Jennifer Vera: My 6 year old daughter loves it here. She's been training since she was 3. She's improved with self discipline, self defense, and her confidence level. It's a very clean, friendly, and family oriented environment. Both Gina and Jay are very skilled and knowledgeable on what they teach. I would HIGHLY recommend All Sport MMA to all ages. Kids & adults.

Jessica B: Love this place and so do my kids!

Jay Auen: Family Owned & Operated since 1991. My second home - come train with us.

Primetime Martial Arts: what do users think?

Mason Morris: The community that is created at this school is something truly extraordinary. There is an infectious energy that fills this space and it affects students as well as parents. It is not uncommon to see students from other classes staying to cheer for their friends and helping each other succeed. The staff is engaging and diverse; each one brings something unique to the classes. It so wonderful to see the look of excitement on a student’s face when their “favorite” instructor gets to teach their class that day. There is so much is at your disposal at Primetime: the martial arts program, the jiu jitsu program, fitness classes, and community events. Everything here is geared towards lifting up the students as well as their families and your best experience will come from fully immersing yourself in everything Primetime Martial Arts has to offer.

Cristen Martz: class to his 2nd degree blackbelt. I’ve recently started taking martial arts classes as well, and have done their fitness classes in the past. I can’t recommend them enough. The coaches are amazing and help foster a fun learning atmosphere. If you’re looking for a studio where the students stand in perfectly silent & strictly regimented lines in every class, this isn’t the location to choose. If you’re looking for someplace that understands that kids should be allowed to be kids, where they’re taught that exercise is fun, this is your place. Watching the little kids smile and laugh while they run through a ninja course while working on blocks, kicks and punches is awesome. The same goes for adults. It can be intimidating getting on the mat even if you’re in good shape. There’s no judgement, only support and encouragement.Primetime teaches respect, responsibility, discipline and perseverance in a way that develops naturally through classes. When they say “Primetime Family”, they mean it. When you come here, you’re welcomed into a diverse community with open arms. Not only has my son made close friends throughout the years, but so have I and the other members of our family. The owner, Coach Apple, is a powerhouse. Not only has she become a friend to me throughout the years we’ve been here, but more importantly, she’s a friend and mentor to our son. Offering him guidance and support not only in martial arts, but in life. I cannot undersell what a huge influence she’s had on who he’s become, in the best possible way.

Diana Castaneda: The instructors are not only skilled martial artists themselves but also incredibly approachable and patient. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned martial artist, the staff ensures that everyone feels included and supported in their individual journey. In addition to the excellent classes, the studio often hosts events and social gatherings , enhancing the sense of camaraderie among members. It's evident that Primetime Martial Arts is not just a place to practice martial arts; it's a community that embraces and uplifts everyone who walks through its doors.

Elias Dayeh: Coach Apple at her staff. Have created wonderful program to teach self defense, self discipline and confidence. My sons have been training here for years now and I'm so proud of their growth. We love it here. If you're looking for self-defense training and fitness training. For all ages. Don't look anywhere else. Come join the family.

Melissa Espejo Sabangan: I love the family atmosphere here! My kiddos have fun each time they attend class!

Tina Koret: Primetime is the best! My son has been coming here for years and it’s been a wonderful experience. The coaches are incredible and focus on all the technical aspects in addition to the values and respect. Their schedule allows us flexibility during the week and has helped with consistency. Also, they offer group fitness classes in a small group setting. I love the ability to train with others but in a smaller setting where I get personalized attention.

Leray Randolph: We love Primetime! In less than six months I saw my kids develop not only in martial arts, but also in their overall independence, focus, and maturity. The coaches are all so wonderful with the kids. We highly recommend Primetime!

Teo Mendoza: My daughter loves Primetime Martial Arts, the coaches are so kind and nice to everyone but they also help kids to grow and develop many skills.

Firrend Naaman: We started classes with our young daughter here mainly because it seemed like something cool and it was very close to us. After a few months of classes I'd probably drive 30 miles to get her to classes here. Her growth in her confidence is night and day. The facility is beautiful, clean and everyone is so friendly, polite and helpful. They have events at local parks and parents nights out. It truly feels like a community and family vs just a regular place to take your kids for half an hour.

Samurai Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: what do users think?

Renata Dáttoli: Excellent place for children. My son is very motivated. Let's go to the third class. We are Brazilians and we were looking for something similar spread in Brazil so as not to lose the culture. Professor Dylan is excellent.

Jason Lopez: Amazing teachers and students. Best BJJ I have ever been too! Great for beginners and friendly!

jeeperpete99: Top notch school. Professor Rich and his instructor staff are excellent. Students there were helpful, skilled, "firm but fair". I trained here for a few months and truly appreciated every interaction and the detailed instruction. Improved my game significantly, immediately. I attended day classes "lunchtime roll". Approach to teaching technique was laid back and also very specific. That may sound contradictory but you have to experience to understand. Great people. And for those of us who are older : TWO INDIVIDUAL SHOWERS + towel service. Wow! Definitely five stars.

Tammer Zein-El-Abedein: We moved out of state and after training with Rich and Kevin for several years, my kids have a solid foundation and love of BJJ that they are continuing to build on at their new academy. It’s not an understatement to say that Samurai is one of the things we all miss most about California. If you are fortunate enough to be within a reasonable driving distance from there, THIS is the program to enroll yourself and/or children 100%!!

Miguel: . Highly recommended.

Robert Calmex: Very welcoming school. Treated great as a guest.

Trevor Hart: Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, focused instruction.

Germent Chi: My son seems to have very little interest in any physical activities, but for some reason he really enjoys samurai Brazilian jiu jitsu. He will often ask me when is the next class. I like how they offer a no hassle 1 week free trial. No pressure in sales or anything. Classes are offer from Mondays to Saturdays and class capacity is pretty open. For the monthly subscription price and the class flexibility, I think the class is totally worth it. Definitely would recommend for anybody or at least try their one week trial.

Andrew Pham: I dropped in for two visits while on a work trip and cannot recommend this gym enough. Rich, the owner, was very welcoming. The gym is clean and the people that train there are friendly.

james guerrero: This place is the best. All kids get a lot of personal attention and instruction. The coaches are knowledgeable, personable and just have great energy. Lots of positive feedback - you can see the kids light up when they get it. Can’t say enough good things about samurai bjj, 2 months in and our son is thriving here.

Rodion Dovgalyuk: It’s an awesome BJJ gym with great coaches both good for adults and kids. My son, Artem, likes it very much and stays motivated to progress.UPD I went ahead and started training there too. It’s how I like it simply by watching my son doing it!

Christie Pinschmidt: We love Samurai BJJ and have been going here for years. My kids love the coaches and and the benefit that BJJ has brought to my older kid is immeasurable.

Sarah Winton: great place for kids to learn

Denney Choi: I've visited once during an open mat and it was awesome. Smiles per square feet was off the charts. In my experience living in the Bay Area I've met personally a number of people that either train here or have their young children train here and I've literally only gotten positive feedback. Super open no matter what school you train at or what experience level you are.If I was in the area, I'd choose to train here. If you are around this school, please check it out. It'll be well worth it!

cameron peron: Excellent place for any child to build confidence and strength

Ashley Tellez: Positive:Quality,Value

Dounia Berrada: Amazing place, love the atmosphere and the teachers are so good. My son is reserved and a bit shy, but he is slowly coming out of his shell thanks to Richard and Kevin's patience and thoughtfulness when interacting with him. Can't wait to sign up my second one when he turns 4!

D Ventura: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueProfessor Richard kindly invited me to drop in for classes while visiting family in San Jose. I attended morning classes with professor Kevin, and received top notch instruction by him and a few others who teach at the academy. The atmosphere was clean, friendly, and very welcoming. Highly recommend checking this place out!
