Trials Pub: what do users think?

Tracy Wang: Great pub, friendly folks, very happy to have this in my neighborhood

Ash Sterlekar: Wonderful Experience at Trails Pub in San Jose!Trails Pub in San Jose is a gem that should not be missed. Whether you're looking for a delicious meal, a relaxed atmosphere, or a great selection of drinks, this place has it all. Nice beers on tap, loved the Smithwicks. My partner had Dragon's Slayer. We wanted to play darts, and you can just request darts from the amazing bartender.I can't wait to return and try more of their offerings.

Troy Le: No nonsense pub, we've been going to this place for years with consistent good service and scrumptious Canadian chips. Come one come all!

Kathy Brandt: Love the shepherd pie. The bartender knows how to make a gin gimlet!!

Motoro Toada: The food was amazing and they serve beer you don't find in most places. I got ignored a little bit so I didn't have all the beer I was hoping to, but the shepherd's pie really made up for what I had at a different pub earlier in the week.

Kenneth Kron: Best authentic British pub in San Jose!

Mark Orihuela: I found this restaurant while doing a job at Evergreen College. Great breakfast spot. They have an extensive menu, more than most spots. It appears to have been here for some time. Plenty on tables and a really friendly staff. Maria is the best, shes been serving the community for some time, shes always friendly and the food comes out super fast. Try the chili verde breakfast, very tasty.

Emma Stephens: First time visiting this location, the food was great and fast and serves were super friendly they have a good size menu we had breakfast huge plate full of food I come back

The Brit - Sports Pub & Patio: what do users think?

Umar Mohammed: I recently moved to the US so was looking for places to watch sporting events. Have watched a few events here and always had a great time. The staff is polite and professional, the food is tasty and well priced. There are a lot of screens so wherever you’re sitting you’ll get a great view of the match.Highly recommend this venue, it’s become my go to spot for watching sports events.

Chris Graham: Great place to grab a beer before heading to downtown events.

LISA FARMER: We had a lot of fun at this place! The employees were really nice but I think they need more staff. We got half of our order and then we had to remind our server about the rest of the order. We were almost full when the rest came. I think it's confusing that you can order thru the app at your table, but also order with your server because things were forgotten.I think the intentions are good but maybe it's too much because it was really busy inside. The BBQ pizza was okay. The cheese was still in strings and not melted. The Brussels sprouts however, were the best I have ever had!! You must try them! Our server was very nice but man, he was busy running back and forth. Maybe some staff called out because a lot of people are sick right now.I'n not sure what happened in the bathroom but the entire floor was soaked. I didn't want to step in there but had to, so don't wear nice shoes if your going to need the bathroom.Overall it was a good experience, just a few things that could use improvement to make it a great experience

Stephen Straker: This review is for the day of the Euro 2020 final only. Two bartenders only for a crowd of hundreds was a travesty. The female bartender that day was rude and obnoxious due to being overwhelmed. A guy next to me tried to order a beer for at least 20 minutes and finally she came over and took out her frustrations by yelling at him “can’t you see how many people are ahead of you?”. Due to that, I did not try to get her attention but several times she washed glasses right in front of me and never asked if I’d like another beer. So, I remained silent. After waiting 45-55 minutes, a lady came and stood next to me to order drinks and this same bartender started to serve her but the lady kindly stated that I was ahead of her. The bartender gave me a disgusted look upon serving me. Brit management let us down that day, sorry.Updated: I appreciate the response from Brit management and I think the explanation is perfectly valid and understandable. My friend and I had both gone to the Almaden Brit and found it closed, thus we went to the downtown Brit. We did speak to several people who had done the same. Additionally, this is not the first establishment that has had trouble rehiring people after COVID. That said, I’ve been to this Brit before and enjoyed the food, drinks and service. I will return if I’m in the area. Upgraded to four stars due to the explanation and previous visits.

Ernie Evans: Nice place to relax and have a drink, pool tables and darts too. The food is amazing as well

Raymond Gonzales: Stevie's Bar & Grill in San Jose isn't just a bar, it's a sanctuary for the soul and a paradise for beer enthusiasts. Each time I return to San Jose, Stevie's is my go-to spot, a reliable haven where the beer flows as freely as the good times. With a draft beer selection that's second to none, Stevie's is like a grand library of brews, each one a story waiting to be savored. The attentive staff elevates the experience, making sure your glass is never empty and your spirits are always high. The vibe here is electric yet welcoming, a perfect backdrop for the delectable snackable treats they serve. And if you're in a crunch for time, the adjacent laundromat turns a chore into a chance for relaxation – sip and savor while you spin and rinse!Stevie's is more than a bar; it's a clever twist on the traditional, a gem that makes San Jose shine a little brighter.

bartika dutta: The service and the atmosphere make this place robustly fun! The Cali pork belly taco is packed with flavors! The chicken street bowl was tangy and earthy. I asked the bartender to make a drink for me and I ended up getting something tasty and sweet. The colors and lighting create the kind od atmosphere that I enjoy. There are also amusement options like dart boards and pool tables.

Mauro Fherro: I love this place.

sun star: I was here working for a week and was eating fast food and my body was highly upset about the whole food situation. On our last day in town I found this place with great reviews.Bartender was great and answered all our questions, I finally went with the pork chop.It was easily hands down, the best pork chop I ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Add a old fashioned and I was in a great place to be.Absolutely 🔥. Will definitely return to give the 5 Starz this place deserves. Do yourself a favor and just go!

Jack's: what do users think?

Josie Guerra: Jack's is a mood. Chill But lively. The atmosphere goes with the crowd. Drinks are good and they are affiliated with jtown pizza, so food options are great. I've always had a pleasant experience here. This is a regular place I meet up with my friends to have a guarantee good night out.

Marty Behler: Food, drink, Atmosphere was great! Will go back!!! Best pizza I've had in many yes. I THINK FOOD WAS FROM J-TOWN PIZZA.

Jesus Vasquez: It's been at least 10 years since I'd visited Jack's, so I popped in real quick because I was in the area. I ordered a couple of beers and a whiskey from Monica the bartender and I must admit this place looks better than before with the remodeling and outdoor patio. It was how I like a bar to be, dimly lit, sports on Tv's and music playing. I would definitely stop by again when I get a chance.

cm v (metalgrit): even in pouring torrent of rain, jacks beer garden + monica bar wench rocks it

Chinmay Surpur: Went to the Willow Den Public House for an event and had a splendid time there! I love the atmosphere and the people who frequent the spot. The owner Han is a really cool and friendly guy too! I loved the pool tables in the side and the different types of seating options. Plenty of bar seating and some booths as well. Great for a pregame, night out, or just kicking it with a friend. Loved the music too. Will definitely be back again!

Scarlet Spider: This is a great place to hangout after a long work week.Super mellow, relaxed, upbeat, and fun atmosphere. Pool tables cost $2/game, drinks are cold & strong, and the restrooms are always really clean!Overall, Willow Den is a great local hangout.

Rigoberto Neri: Great spot for some quick meet up with friends!

SANDY: Nothing but great memories here 🍻

Shayideep Sangam: Good varieties for draft beers 🍺

Dan: Burgers were incredible. Try it out!

Alyssa Serrano: I keep going back for the OG Burger and duck fat fries, so addicting! Good selection of beer, wish there were more sours.

Eric Slocum: Always a good time. Service is great along with the atmosphere.

Ronny Dahle: Fantastic burgers!

Christopher Spahn: TLDR: Go for the beer, bonus points if you love fries. Be forewarned, when we were there, the food menu was burgers and fries *only*. That said, they're damn good burgers and fries, just don't expect other options. Beer options were excellent. I enjoyed the Imperial Stout from Russian River and my wife liked the hard seltzer from someone or other. No frills, but did have TVs with football on. Beer, burgers, and football means I'd go back.

Vern Elarth: My favorite bar to start off an evening out. They have a rotating tap with a great selection of microbrews for everyone's taste. I enjoy sours which they always have a few delicious options. Burgers and fries also. Veggie burger option available.

Claire Mizutani: .Recommended dishes …

Drew Ortega: keep coming back for the duck fat fries

Miller: Yummy

Joseph Hefta: The place has a great tap list, but OH MY GOD the burger and the fries are the best in San Jose. Do not sleep on the burger and the fries. Come fight me if you think I'm wrong.

true funk soldier: We are in San Jose for Shiny Side Up bicycle ride and show. Our hotel is next door, so we came in to see if the UFC fights where on. No fights, but what's better dam good well made drinks from one of the coolest bartenders Noe. We walked in sat at the bar and the first thing he said what's your name and where you from. Next time we are down here from Sacramento it will be our home bar.

Frank Carranza: Outstanding place!Great customer service, great pricing on drinks.Bar Tenders are exceptional!Paula's Kitchen one of the best food services in town!Highly recommend this fantastic place!

David Llamas: Was invited by a friend to visit this place for the first time today. Very conveniently located near my home on Park Avenue. Patricia, the owner, came out to our table to ask how the food was and introduce yourself. I was loving the tacos I ordered, and told her so. I found I've been open for 2 months now, and I told her as I was invited here, I would myself be inviting friends here soon as I was coming back. Wishing them the best in business and that they stay open for a long time. Best place to come for homemade Mexican food.I had both Bria tacos and chilaquiles, which were both five star excellence in every way!The vibe from The jukebox music was so good that we stayed for more beers, and I chased my tacos with chilaquiles, and those were even better than my first meal! So glad I found this place!Walk, don't run, and bring a good vibe! Very friendly crowd at the bar at the front of the house.Kid-friendliness: It's more of a restaurant in a bar, then a restaurant with a bar. You'll know what I mean when you get there. So not the best place for kids, but definitely a friendly place for adults looking for a tasty place to eat for lunch and after work or for a fun dinner date.

Frankie Rodriguez Jr: Kitchen and bar are separate from each other although they share the same building facility. They are not affiliated otherwise. There's an outside seating area which makes it nice to get out away from all the noise if you choose . Lots of TVs for sports bar atmosphere. Pool table in separate room next to back door parking area.Ordered medium rare burger which came way over cooked at well done even after i specifically specified. That was very disappointing. Burger was still great with quality bacon and fries were awesome. Price however at $17 I expected better attention to be paid to my food. It wasn't a $9 burger so obviously i expected better. Service however was good and servers friendly so another chance is in order. There's no happy hour so be prepared that there's no specials. Prices are a little on the high side but still within reason compared to many competitors. As far as bar goes they were very busy but yet still friendly. Overall a decent place to hang out.Parking: Every place around there has red curbs and no parking signs and it's a fairly congested neighborhood so if they're busy you may have to walk a ways. There's a tiny parking area in back and if they're slower parking will be more favorable. The regulars I met were friendly and welcoming which helps with the friendly atmosphere and ambience overall.Karaoke was supposed to start which I lingered around for but it got late before they even showed up and slowly started setting up so I left to another show. I may give them another shot in the future however and update this review. Stay tuned.
