Marcus Morroc-Bey: Akin’s Auto Repair has cemented itself as our new auto-repair shop.For some context, we called in on a Tuesday to inquire about an inspection on our vehicle. He told us it would be fine to bring it in the next day, so we did. We expressed we were on a tight timeline, as we had to leave for a road trip the following Friday. Akin and his mechanics were able to fix all of the problems on the car despite having a limited staff, but they didn’t stop there. They proceeded to fix things we didn’t even know needed to be fixed, practically free of charge. They realigned our car, installed new towers, and more. All of the work was done with high-quality parts amounting to far below the industry standard.Going to car shops can be anxiety-inducing as someone with no car knowledge. Car mechanics frequently prey on the inexperienced. However, my experience at Akin’s starkly contrasted prior experiences I’ve had. I will be going here for the rest of my time in the Bay Area.

Momo: Tried Akins Mechanic for the first time and I’m seriously impressed. The mechanic keeps it 100% real - no beating around the bush. You bring in your car, he tells you straight up what’s wrong. After dealing with some questionable mechanics in Palo Alto, Akins was a breath of fresh air. A friend recommended them, and I’m glad I listened. He even told me my brakes were fine and didn’t need work, but advised when to check them again. Ended up fixing the squeal in the brakes, and it was done quickly at a fair price. Definitely my go-to mechanic now.

Brian Blake: After the local Toyota dealership ripped off my elderly mother replacing her alternator, her Sienna started overheating. I came into town to help and called Nick at NT, since it was the last straw with the dealership. Nick took the car for the afternoon and discovered the dealership and their certified mechanics had forgotten to reattach the power to the radiator fans after they dealt with the alternator. Despite the time/labor it took to figure that out, he refused to take any payment. You're going to get a great, honest mechanic with Nick and Winfield NT Auto Repair! Highly recommend.

I didn’t catch the older man’s name but he truly helped me, made me feel like there’s good people, although I’m unsure of specific problem. I walked away with peace of mind in the possibile problems, And I’m not quite in a place to afford a major part if that’s what it needs. The gentleman noticed my oil was way over filled. He leveled me out. When I went to pay him he returned my money Shook my hand and directed me to where I could fix some other smaller problems in my car on my own. Alicia Staley: I should have reviewed this place sooner because we appreciate these guys so much. We ended up here by chance after our car broke down on an outing and their shop was nearby. Those first set of repairs were major but their pricing was so reasonable and Nick and T were both so kind that we decided to make this place our go-to car shop, even though it's pretty far from where we live. We trust them and know we're not being taken advantage of. I've had my two toddler daughters with me most of the times I come by and they always offer us drinks and snacks. Car problems are frustrating but we actually look forward to stopping by to see Nick and T when issues come up because they're so wonderful.

Came in the lobby, filled out a quick form, and just hung out in the lobby for about 30 minutes. This place is nice and clean with classical music playing in the background which was relaxing. I’ve been here like ten years ago once so I decided to come back. I recommend this place because it’s organized, well managed,and just listening to the employees interacting with each other and customers, you can tell they’re very professional. Bringing in your car for anything can be daunting because you hope for the best and fear for the worst but this place eases your mind.

Ta Da: These folks are AWESOME. My husband and I can usually fix most of whatever is going on with our Honda, but we encountered something unknown and needed help. We called and they said they couldn't work on it immediately but to bring it in and take a look anyway. While checking things out, one of the mechanics noticed a little oil leak we didn't see and tightened it up real quick for us too. We were told to bring her back Wednesday, given a wonderful price quote for the labor and we're feeling much less stressed out about the entire thing. Thank you all so much!Edit to add: had the service done and it was quick and they even charged us less than the original quote. Truly, thank you! 💚

Amandeep Singh: Been going their for over 10 years. Neer and Inder knows their stuff. They are friendly, efficient and direct with their work. They have done door replacement in the past. They have replaced rack and pinion for steering and done oil changes and transmission oil too. And timing belts too. Only thing is they are usually busier so you have to leave your car for few days and good trustworthy and genuine people.

Even though 3 of our cars are 20 years old and parts for them are difficult to find or no longer exist, they have come up with creative ways to keep them running. They always provide clear recommendations for repairs via phone call and/or text msg, and get approval before proceeding. They have consistently delivered high quality work and very accommodating. They literally will not charge you a dollar if they inspect and find nothing wrong with your vehicle. They are very knowledgeable, kind and hard-working. You can buy your own engine oil if you want and they will charge only $30 for labor cost, which is very comforting! I bring my vehicles in anytime I want to make sure they are working fine and they are an extremely efficient and ethical business. I trust them with any make or model. I speak with Johnny here, but they are all wonderful and HONEST people at this establishment, which is very refreshing knowing that a company exists that will only charge you for repairs they discover ❤️. One time I brought my vehicle in because I thought something could be wrong with it and they checked it and said it is working fine FREE OF CHARGE! I LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE! I will definitely be coming here for many more years to come because trust is very valuable when it comes to human interaction and the actions of these great people proves it in their service performance and pricing!
Peng Chen (Peng): Johnny helped me with my Prius to replace all 4 pads and rotors. Very professional and trustworthy. While inspection issues with ABS system were found and he looked out for me to provide the best value option available and spend extra time without charging just to get problems fixed. I can not recommend more their shop.
