Doc Pop: We just moved to the neighborhood and were really happy to find this cute bagel shop and restaurant across the street. The bagels were delicious! We can't wait to try more of the menu and really look forward to when we can finally eat a meal inside again. The pictures from other reviewers look great.
Henry Rodríguez: All very rich, very nice staff.!!
Rachel England: I love this neighborhood Colombian restaurant. They make amazing arepas and lattes to start the day. I hope they get more business, the location is not in the thick of it. Come support them!
Lau Ballesteros: I’m from Bogota and my friend brought me here after living in the Bay Area for over a year. I am so happy to have found this place.Es un lugar espectacular la arepa “rola” 🤓es my favorita, y el chocolate omg !!! Como en casa

Isabelle Boisleve: First restaurant for us in San Francisco. Excellent welcome. Our English wasn't great so the owner took the time to show us on his phone. Everything was very good. And the music is very nice.I recommend !
Nathan Pierce: to share, and it was already over.I’ll go back, though—that’s for sure!Selection of beer and wine.Clean bathroom.Really friendly service.Free parking on the street up to 2 hours.Dine in or take out.If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!Vegetarian options: vegan options. salad.Dietary restrictions: vegan optionsParking: free street parking up to 2 hours.Wheelchair accessibility: no step. wheelchair table.
Gnome Chomsky: What a spectacular hidden gem. You normally have to be in the mission to get Latin food done this well. Everything on the menu was fantastic. You can tell the owner / operator absolutely cares about what comes out of the kitchen. Prices reasonable and value for what you get is 11/10. Can’t believe I’ve walked by as many times as I have and never tried it. Ty for having me and cheers!
Theo Armour: Great attention from the staff. Interesting and very tasty Colombian and Venezuelan dishes. Some nice wines.Update 02-13-2024This is an update to one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I've been coming here since 2020.Michael the proprietor has recently updated the menu. My favorite first course is the Patacones - fried green plantains with Mamo's sauce - and the Tequeños - a Venezuelan dish with fried breaded cheese. Then it gets difficult. For a main course, I could do the Arroz con Pollo, the Steak Chimichurri or the Arepas. And for your friends who are not so adventurous the MaMo's Burger still has an excellent South American flavor. On the drinks side, I usually go for a draft beer, or a rosé or malbec. For a closer I'll take a shot of their tequila soju. But tonight, I am trying something new: fresh passion fruit with a shout of rum soju. For dessert, I quite like one of the appetizers: Maduros - fried sweet plantains.Of course, I am writing this update here at MaMo. I may not be in Colombia, but I like what it feels like being here.

Quincy Hirt: Amazing meal at Mr. Pollo. Everything was incredibly tasty and the dishes were very balanced. We had perfectly tender asparagus with a punchy anchovy sauce and a delicately boiled egg. The arepa course was bold and flavorful, with some perfectly slow roasted pork. We had Alaskan halibut that was moist and flaky, the preserved lemon glaze added a perfect touch of acid and the snow peas with the carrot rounded out the dish wonderfully. Finally the little custard and tart cherry pastry was a perfect little treat to finish off the meal. A great experience overall!
Clement: An awesome option for a prix fixe menu dinner at a very acceptable price point. Everything I had here was great although I wish it was slightly more portion wise, it was almost there. I believe the menu rotates, although not sure how frequently. The atmosphere is great, small shop run by 2 people with a very unassuming front door! I had to double check to see if it was the right spot at first. Overall great option for locals/visitors in the city.
Lori Friedenberg: . However, they ask in the reservations if there are food allergies and they were incredibly accommodating to my 2 allergies.
Shawn Keene (Elskipador): I have had several wonderful experiences here but looking through some of the photos I noticed that the chef looks way different when I went there the guy was all tatted up like full sleeves and stuff and tattoos on his neck and the server was really tall I think his name was will he was super good too I really liked it but has it changed ownership?? Thanks for replying. I don't get up to the city much anymore, but I'm glad you're still there & I can feel great about recommending your spot to family & friends 👍

Fernando Fernández: and great service.Price is a little high for the area but the food was great, rich and full of flavor. The only note I have: I wish they had beers
Oceana Montalalou: I had a mofongo plate and empanadas and it was deliciousVegetarian options: Menu had lots of vegetarian options for all the regular meals. I didn't mention I was vegetarian but the staff was considerate enough to let me know that the rice I ordered was normally made with pork, and asked if I would like it to be made without :
Matthew Vega: I moved to the Bay Area from south Florida about 9 years ago and have been in search of some decent Cuban food since I got here and this place definitely provides that! Empanadas especially were delicious but everything my friend and I ordered was delicious. If table side service is what you’re in search of this isn’t the place; everyone is friendly but it’s a fast casual lunch/dinner spot and the servers have a lot going on besides attending to tables. Will definitely be back, so happy this place is here ❤️
Karol Nevarez: Jessica greeted us and served our table with a big smile and great recommendations; great customer service! The Mofongo con Lechón was delicious, the meat was so tender and I haven't tasted a Mofongo that good since my trip to Puerto Rico in June. My kiddo had the arroz con pollo and she couldn't stop mentioning how amazing it was, she's normally a picky eater, not this time, too good to pass up. Great Service + Delicious food = Definitely going back!
