Cherr: . View from the room was amazing; staff are friendly; quiet room. Considering all these things and weighing that with the $ I paid per room - it’s average in value. But! It’s still one of the better hotels in SFO. Designated at a safe street- No homeless/distressed individuals loitering outside.
Holly Z: The hotel was overall good. The lobby is quite busy at all times. The wifi was good, the bed and pillows were comfy, the AC was strong, and the washroom amenities were nice.Overall it was clean but I noticed some of the surfaces were not wiped and had some beverage residue. The area is fine in the day but feels somewhat unsafe at night, especially if you're alone.
Gigi San: Parking is expensive but they allow in/out..great location to attend SFSU graduation at Oracle Park.Safety: I felt safe-but I was with a family group.Walkability: Walked to various places since the hotel is not on a hill.
Spider J: . Although it is expensive, it is worth it if you are very hungry and expect to eat a lot of the eggs and sausage and other delicious spread. We were offered to
Elle O’Neil: , market on the first floor makes delicious lattes and chia puddings, breakfast buffet is pricey but the spread is extravagant. Good location - Trader Joe’s is within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel.
King Veloso: We had an amazing stay here for the whole weekend, the check in was smooth and fast. The lady who cleaned our room, she was fantastic! Making sure everything is clean new towels, new pillow cases, cups, glasses every day. Coffee grinds and condiments kit are also refilled everyday. The beds and pillows feel like brand new. And of course the ladies at the front desk they were all amazing, they were quick and friendly. I hope they will consider a complimentary breakfast here someday. But overall experience was great and would stay here again.Rooms: Very clean.Walkability: Have access to some bus stops.

Antonette Dehaney: Lovely boutique hotel by JDV. I selected it for this reason. I was traveling alone and chose this for safety and cleanliness. They’ve have security and underground parking. The neighborhood was also walkable. I felt safe walking from there to Haight. LThe young lady who checked me in was professional and thorough. My room was bigger than I expected and very clean. I was also impressed by the bathroom amenities.I’ll absolutely return.
燃烧的饺子: I do not know how I missed this place for the past several years. It maybe they are newly added into the Marriott hotel chain. The location is more than good. The best neighborhood. Few blocks from the park. The lobby is very lovely. Our room is spacious and well cleaned. Somehow the wall between our bathroom and next door neighbor is so thin we overheated all her family dramas. The staff are nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will sure consider this place as our top choice next time to SF.
Joseph Freund: I hosted a meeting for 40 people at the bar area of the hotel and it was a great success. The service provided by Gil, Beth and the entire team was very friendly and responsive. The rooms are very well appointed. This is my local go to hotel for business and leisure. The location is excellent. I would strongly recommend the Laurel Inn for those visiting San FranciscoRooms: Clean, bright and cheery and comfortable furnishingsNearby activities: Walking distance to the beautiful Presidio and a stroll along Sacramento street shopping districtSafety: Very safe and walkableWalkability: Super safe and access to public transportationFood & drinks: The bar has crafty cocktails and small plates and appetizers
T2: Wifey choose this property to stay here for her birthday. I work in Norcal so I was already in town before she arrived. Checked in, the front desk lady was outstanding. I was sticker shocked but then again, I don't stay at 5 star hotels while I'm traveling for work. Location was nice, room was big, had a kitchenette, nice bathroom and good pillows. And don't forget to say hello to Snoop while you're there, he'll be sleeping under the desk.
Jerri Grunewald: Front desk person ,Gill, was very nice and got us a King room after first a two bed room. Great free coffee, cookies in the afternoon and good local suggestions. Very happy with the quiet neighborhood and view from our 3rd floor room. Safe in the room, walk in shower, make up mirror with outlet at the base, and lot of storage, robes and more!Rooms: Room had a safe, King very comfortable bed, good toiletries and makeup wipes, plenty of drawers, quiet on the 3rd floor and a great view out our window.
Nikhil: Now there is no place in sfo where you can be in abundance and grace.Other than two the Indian Consulate and this place maned by this charmingly seductive lady Ms Gill Eklof . I didn't know Nordic woman are so magnetic and classy and so so subtle. After all Sweden is next to germany. And well we know how clinical Germans are..there is no room for ruhaniyat.Anyways. So this hotel gives you freshly baked cookies and the if you are polite to the lady she will get you some high tea herself. The rooms are super luxury and chic ..very stylish..looks like an old classy holllywood, Marlene moonroe or jackie kennedy kind of a place. I am unable to place it.. its just so calming that all judgements cease to be.It gets you into a flow.If you are lucky you will the lady who will just randomly help you with 4 luggage weighing almost 65kgs.Then you meet the guy who mans it in the night and he is happy and married..beat that. He is a pilot and dreams of becoming richard bach. He is good. And then there is this another lady who is so beautiful and tall , I think she is like a pashtun..bold beautiful and very powerful and yeah very very helpful..Everyone likes to be treated nicely. But one has to start with being nice. Paying money doesn't make you entitled to good service. Be good and you will see the love flow in this place.Nearby activities: Safe. . Beautiful .. like how sfo was.
Sue Crocker: Very clean, great views from our room. Staff amazingSafety: Felt safe walking in the evenings. Close to great restaurantsWalkability: Easy to get around. Great neighborhood to views
DBradshaw25: . It was a little odd that the window in the room completely opened wide, but if you need air that's actually a nice option. I've just never seen that before in a hotel. I would definitely recommend this location for the price!!
Ashley Madden: and we got a ton of exercise in walking the neighborhood. A lot of hills but close to beautiful scenery with The Presidio and Palace of the Arts.Staff was very friendly, rooms were comfortable. They have coffee and tea all day, as well as the delicious cookies in the afternoon. Appreciated the water and ice machine in the lobby as well.Overall a great spot and we will look into another stay when back in town!

Karine Duhayer: Nicely decorated, clean, conveniently located hotel, helpful staff. We will keep good memories
magali harikiopoulo: Great to stay hereSafety: SafeWalkability: Easy Access
Christina Schultz: This hotel is in a more quiet neighbor which I felt very comfortable walking around by myself. It's within walking distance from several more touristy areas and very close to a variety of food options.Regarding the hotel itself, I was upgraded from a King bedroom to a suite which was a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy with great pillows. The complementary breakfast is basic continental breakfast which is set up as a "grab-n-go" station next to the check in desk. It was super nice they had coffee and drinks available in the lobby all day.
Julie Ward: We visit San Francisco quite a bit, and have stayed all over the City, but we keep coming back to Hotel Del Sol. Our kids loved it when they were little and we love it just as much now that they're in college and we're on our own. It's bright, cheerful, comfortable and clean. The staff is excellent, very welcoming. The gated courtyard and secure parking makes it feel cozy and safe, even though the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. I loved sitting near the pool in the morning with my coffee and chatting with other guests around the firepit at night. You really can't beat the location-so many great restaurants, shops & bars a short walk away, as well as the beautiful Presidio Tunnel Tops park. We loved wandering around the neighborhood, finding our favorite corner store to buy wine & snacks and stopping by a great old-school bar next to the Presidio to watch a Giants game. Hotel Del Sol is a fantastic home base in SF!
Matthew Sundt: Location was idealRooms: Room 101 was convenient.Walkability: Perfect location relative to all of Pacific Heights, Cow Hollow and Marina district.

Regina: . I also had friendly and efficient interactions with the staff at both check-in and check out which was nice.I would definitely stay here again if I had late night or early morning activities to do in the area!Nearby activities: Presidio; Palace of Fine Art TheatreWalkability: Right next to the Presidio and only a 10 minute walk from the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre
Noe C: Daniel & Crystal were super helpful!
Carlos Menchaca: . The rooms were exceptionally clean.Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants, trails, and sites to view from here. All walkable.
Vl B29: The room is really very small for 4...The best part is the location if you are visiting and you are a walker. If like us you have children, choose a hotel closer to Pier 39.The breakfast is a shame that there are only 3 tables because having breakfast in the room on the bed is really not practical...The hotel car park is paid and does not have space for all cars, complicated parking nearby....
Petra Benson: Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean. We traveled with our dog. There was a $20 cleaning fee for the dog. There was no place for the dog to her business in the parking area. But, the Presidio was a very short walk away. The pizza place on the corner was good. There is a little convenience store right next door. The only problem was parking. It's a better idea to park your car and use other transportation in the city. One of our group was a vegetarian. The breakfast really didn't have much for them. But, there are plenty of places nearby to eat. It was very quiet in the area at night. 15 minute drive to the VA Hospital. Next time I'm in San Francisco, I'll be staying here.Nearby activities: Art gallery, Yoda fountain.Walkability: Very close to the Presidio. 10 minute walk to art gallery.Food & drinks: Pizza and convenience store next door.

Tom Montesonti: Our Granddaughters from Colorado stayed with us last time. Ages 12 and 15. They loved learning about the history of the building and San Francisco. The first night the younger one asked if there were any ghosts! By the next morning they were all over the place, and loving staying in a piece of history. The staff has akways been very kind, helpful and friendly!
Zak Saidin: Food & drinks: Breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of choices. Cookies and Tea in the afternoon.Noteworthy details: Little things you forget hotels used to have for you. Notepads and pens with their logo and info, for example. Piano player on the evening with complimentary liquor. Oh, and the place is haunted, but in a good way, it seemed.
Calogero Damanti: Our stay at the Queen Anne was just lovely! The hotel is very tastefully decorated, and we loved hanging out by the fireplace in the evening. In terms of location, it's in a safe area, a short walk to Fillmore where you'll find plenty of great restaurants, and it's very easy to Uber downtown if you need to. Shout-out to John for being so helpful.

Julian Lievain: The hotel is located on Lombard Street close to many points of interest in San Francisco such as the Golden Gate or Fisherman's Wharf...Although a little old, the hotel is pleasant and the welcome is very warm. The view from the room was average but we slept well, I found the environment quiet. To stay a few days it is more than suitable.Note that a bus line passes nearby.
p b: The staff we met were very friendly, we were allowed to check in at 1pm.Our one bedroom apartment was very clean and comfortable. The location is good, with a 20-30 min, relatively flat, walk to The Presidio and Fishermen's Wharf. Our room, 241, overlooking Chestnut St, had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, there was also some traffic noise in the early hours of the morning, but not enough to put me off staying here again. Also, the bed was ridiculously high but comfortable and inconvenient for anyone with mobility issues or about a 5-foot tall. The lounge room air conditioner was noisy and we turned it off overnight.
Doraci Silva: Hotel with great location, close to everything, with secure, closed and free parking. It has an elevator and they don't charge resort fees, for example, they make a 100 dollar block but return it 3 days after leaving. Coffee maker in the room, air conditioning, but there is no minibar, they only speak English. Cleaning was good and daily, with towels changed daily, what I don't like is the old and worn carpet, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, but they clean it daily. I recommend it for the value for money, go without fear!
Nils W: Good location with bus station almost in front of the door.Free parking possible. Hotel a bit old fashioned. We had rooms facing the main street and the traffic was easy to hear even with the windows closed.Noteworthy details: Free parking possible.
Brian Gassmann: has been positively professional. We requested more towels, and they arrived within 5 minutes. They've been accommodating to every one of our needs. The restaurant on the ground level
Tracey Bates: I love the charms of staying at Cow Hollow inn. The staff was very nice and helpful a great neighborhood I felt safe lots of food choices. Mel’s dinner a definite great food. But over all I loved stay here great view of the city everything is easily accessible to overall my son and I love staying here and will definitely recommend to family and friends.Safety: The neighborhood is safe and inviting and also a closed garage under the hotel to keep your car in that is only to guest that have a room key to get in so your car is safe from the outside.

George Craig: I would never write a review about a hotel until now. The staff makes this hotel INCREDIBLE. Seriously, the people that work here including Daryl, Shannon and Saoirse as well as every front desk attendant are just unbelievable when it comes to kindness and consideration to their guests. I am out here for work and so happy to be here because of how the people here at this hotel have treated me during my stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you to all of the hotel staff for being pleasant, professional and helpful. Your hospitality has not gone unnoticed. This is my second week here for work and I will only consider this hotel in the future just from how I’ve been treated. You guys are incredible rockstars. Thank you for all that you do.Noteworthy details: You are treated like luxury as the staff genuinely cares about you and your stay. Five stars for this hotel in how I’ve been treated as a guest
カズコム: I used it to watch a baseball game at Oracle Park. It was right in front of the stadium and I was able to go back to the hotel immediately after the game, so it was very convenient. All the staff are friendly, and although it doesn't have a luxurious feel, I think it's a comfortable hotel. Also, although I didn't use it, it seems like a simple breakfast is included.
Emma Penunuri: Very conveniently located right next to the ball park and only 10-15min from Chase Center. The N line tram stops just around the corner that takes you out all the way to ocean beach. We had a beautiful corner room overlooking S.F. downtown. The room was very spacious, the carpet smelled fresh and clean. The hotel stuff was helpful and always available. We had a great overall experience and we will be back for sure.
Jessica Campana: Had a great experience with this hotel. The staff and the location were amazing. The room was very clean as was the hotel overall. Parking is limited but worth it. I rather have it parked at the hotel. Don’t want my car to get smashed. The breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious. The location is prime, close to Oracle Park, and transportation. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Will be booking my next stay here.
Meghan Ranade: It's at a very convenient location and good service. The rooftop bar has great viewsRooms: Decent sized roomsNearby activities: Oracle Park stadium nearby and other downtown placesSafety: It's relatively safeWalkability: Can walk to nearby Caltrain stationFood & drinks: Decent rooftop restaurantNoteworthy details: Convenient location
한지호: Perfect location to watch Giants games. The service is excellent, the breakfast is good, and it's a good choice for families.Nearby activities: Oracle Park 3 minutes walk
Virginia Bosch Hyttfors: Nice hotel, booked a 16 night stay thru their own website, non refundable, had to leave a day early and asked if they would make an exception to refund me the last night they said no. Considering that one of the nights the lock broke and it took them a long time to fix it, had to wait in another room late at night until it was fixed, to access my room, I feel that they should have granted my exception. It gets super busy when there is a game going on as they host events. Not much going on in the area and a long walk to market street.Rooms are clean and new but small.

Jonathan Maye-Hobbs (MrStaycation): -- https://youtu.be/Mo4ESel4K0cA Modern design, with a dated vibe. Equipped with sufficient storage + a high quality ergonomic workspace.Cleaning standards were top notch. Views from the balcony were serene. For the not-so-good:Lighting was poor, electrical wiring seems poor, the provided surge protector didn't work, the AC was loud, & the thermostat in this unit wasn't calibrated/accurate.BED -- The mattress was comfortable & I liked the pillow quality. Sheets were soft & clean, like everything else.My biggest complaint is the lack of duvet bc it gets awfully cold...In the end, my sleep was mostly restful.BATH -- Small split bath design. The dimensions are kind of awkward; no functional issues though. It does take ages for water to heat up. Still, the shower experience is a good one.TV & ENTERTAINMENT -- TV is so small... It really wasn't worth the hassle, even with a GoogleTV.The trails & marina are the real treasure here-- step outside!WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- Internet needs more bandwidth & better QoS to prevent all the disconnects.--Performance--Video streaming - averageOnline gaming - averageVideo chatting - average--Nerd Stats--6-8 Mbps download7-16 Mbps upload0% packet loss9 ms latency5 ms jitterFOOD & DRINK -- DoorDash friendly. The lobby drink fridge was out of order during my stay.Ice & vending are still available on floors.In-room:✅Small mini fridge✅Coffee in room✅ mini microwaveNOISE -- Wildlife is absurdly loud
Jan Thomas: Great service!Safety: You don't have to walk to the restaurants you can use the hotel shuttle.Walkability: You can walk to the near by restaurants.
Nelson Bonilla: Location is nice but the wifi is terrible, also gym and fitness room is bad. Have weights but only 2- 8lbs weights, front desk said they have been missing since covid.Noteworthy details: 2nd time here but I don't think I'll return due to the 2 issues I had.

Lisa Maddaus: we would recommend to anyone. The hotel staff was super kind and accommodating. Having the breakfast with good protein options and suite with a refrigerator and kitchen was ideal. Construction next door
Ava Quinn: Stayed here vacationing in San Francisco. The location is superb, but the rooms were odd. We stayed in the family suite, which smelled musty and felt drafty. The staff were all helpful and kind, and I certainly enjoyed our stay here overall.Rooms: Musty and drafty.Nearby activities: Right by Free Gold Watch, a really cool pinball arcade. Easy spot to explore the nicer areas of the city from.Walkability: Many walkable cafes, restaurants, and activities.
John Quinn: Fantastic location. Friendly staff. Old fashioned, musty, drafty rooms that might have been decorated by your great grandmother.Despite the weird rooms and decor, this was actually my favorite place to stay in San Francisco. The location more than made up for the weirdness. I’d definitely stay there again.
Marcela Matthews: My daughter and I had a great experience at this hotel. I loved the old charming San Francisco vibe with wall papers and old furniture. The room was clean, bright and welcoming. They include breakfast and wine hour with snacks. The location is exceptional, across the street from the Golden Gate Park, stores and amazing restaurants. There’s also a public garage a few steps away. We felt safe and the staff was great. After reading a few negatives reviews here I was a bit skeptical, but I have to say that it exceeded my expectations.
Veronica Joy: I loved our stay so much. Room was adorable and there was a wine hour and cute holiday decorations 3Nearby activities: Adorable shops and range of options for food.Walkability: Easy access to Muni and Park Shuttle stops.
Sarah K: Lovely place super clean well taken care of great host checked us in very friendly beautiful breakfast room and great variety of food will stay there again and again neighborhood very safe and friendly locals nice Irish bar next door with great local crowd you can’t park overnight at the hotel but parking is a stones throw away and very safe also super close to UCSF and Golden Gate Park is right across the street ..Also right around the corner from the hotel is Haight street with great restaurants and fun shops so much to see and do within walking distance of the hotel …

John Ko: Great location and service. Rooms are comfortable & clean but worn and needs updating. I’ve stayed here many times and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.Walkability: At the border of union square and Chinatown - easy walk to both. Also close to financial district.
Leo Díaz Longhi: Solid hotel. You won't miss anything in particular and you won't need anything else. But nothing over that. If you want to buy something inside the hotel is super expensive.Elevators are slow. It's a tall building.Rooms: Solid and comfortable rooms. Shows the wear of some time but they still are ok.Nearby activities: Middle of SF. Everything starts here. The beach is far, but there are almost no hotels thereSafety: Homeless people are everywhere in SF. Lots of drugs all day long. They won't do you anything, but it is an uncomfortable situation.Walkability: You can't be wrong in the middle of the city. Pay in advance for the public transportation and you'll get everywhere easily.
FaHaD ALSaMi: The location is suitable and close to services, Macys building, Apple and many international brands..The room was very nice. I lived on the 26th floor. The view is beautiful.. the bed is comfortable and the hotel is quiet..
Doug Gordy: The rooms are really nice. They are spacious and comfortable. The king bed was a nice quality and the turn down service rocked. They have a really nice setup with the TV where you can stream a device to it, so you don't have to mess with the hotel on demand stuff. The tub was a small thing where you really could just use it as a shower. The shower has a shower head that is adjustable in height. My wife is short and I am tall.... It barely reached my head. It is kinda out of the way from the hustle of downtown and honestly not a lot of restaurants that I enjoy were near. The front desk staff is absolutely amazing here and will bend over backwards for you. I would recommend staying here and probably will stay myself again

Oliver Pe: Definitely one of the most convenient and polished airport hotels.Walkability: Air train loop easily connects you to the SFO airport and garagesFood & drinks: Ample options as well as a 24hr shop with a wide varietyNoteworthy details: Modern upkeep and wide bathrooms
Regalia Feng: The unbeatable location makes it the only choice if you do not want to deal with all the uncertainty caused by miserable shuttle service. It is also one of the best kid friendly hotels I have ever been. The little lower handle is perfect for small kids to keep safe during the shower. The room is not big, but it has everything you need. Oh I almost forgot the unbeatable view if you choose the runway room. The food is not very attractive but you got all the Uber delivery if you want to enjoy the meal. Fitness center is also great. The room is also unbelievable quiet. I thought it would be noisy since it is so close to the airport. But it is just quiet. The largest noise you can hear is the wind blowing out of the AC fan. A very nice experience.Transportation through the airtrain system is also convenient. There is 24/7 service for both lines of the airtrain. The price is not cheap but it worthes.Rooms: Clean room with everything you need.
Frank Chen: Loved this place. I’m a globalist member with World of Hyatt, so it’s fair to say that I’ve been staying with Hyatt hotels quite a lot. I’d say this is one of the best Hyatt hotels in the US and definitely the best one in the Bay Area. The rooms, the view and the services are all top notch. The only downside might be with the location - it’s super convenient to go to the airport but a luxury hotel like this should be closer to the city.
ILI D: Truly a remarkable experience at this 5-star hotel! With its unbeatable proximity to SFO, offering unparalleled convenience. The facility is simply amazing – the room, boasting a spectacular view of the runway, exceeded expectations, and the spacious bathroom added to the luxurious experience. The staff went above and beyond, providing top-notch customer service throughout my stay. Although my visit was brief due to an overnight layover flight, I'm already looking forward to returning to San Francisco, and without a doubt, this hotel will be my first choice. Its convenient access to the city makes it the perfect accommodation for future visits.

Paul K: This hotel had clean rooms and common areas, looks to be a newly built hotel in Emilyville. Rooms were clean and maintained well. Although train tracks were right behind the hotel, we didn't hear any noise. They serve free breakfast, nothing special though. The only downside was that they have very limited parking spaces on hotel premise. Other option is to park on the parking structure next to the hotel and walk back to the hotel. Parking structure also seems to be newly built along with the surrounding shopping / dining venues but I didn't feel safe leaving the car in the remote area with no security.
Gabriel Zavala: Clean quiet hotel with great location. Limited parking available at hotel, they have overfill parking at nearby parking structure, very close.Great service from staff and quality standard continental breakfast.
Kayley: Great hotel for a short stay. Room's were well decorated and the bathroom was nice but I did have a lot of ants in my room and the train was loud. The service was friendly. The stay comes with breakfast which we missed out on but it's good value. There's lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.Rooms: Large rooms and big bathroom.Nearby activities: Mini golfFood & drinks: Great options of supermarkets and restaurants nearbyNoteworthy details: Can be loud as it's very close to train tracks
The Williams: This is our favorite place to stay. Great location. Service is good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I hope it is maintained.Walkability: The walk to shops and restaurants is so nice especially in the beautiful Bay area weather.
Geraldine Delaney: Rooms: Clean and spacious rooms!Walkability: Right across Bay Street Emeryville mall- VERY convenientFood & drinks: Complementary breakfast was a good spread of food and drinks!
Joann Mills: Great one night stay here before we ventured into SF. Very close to the bay bridge, shopping, and restaurants. Although we didn't use the nice gym, we frequently refilled our water from there. Parking is $15 with four chargers available, which we unfortunately couldn't use because other vehicles were occupying the space. Parking may seem limited but there is a section for Hyatt at the garage across the street. We enjoyed the hot fresh break very much.

김남섭: The location and rooms are good, but one of the two elevators is being replaced, so hotel guests on the 10th floor use one elevator, which is very slow.Rooms: It's about a 10-minute walk to Fisherman Wharf, and the pizza and sushi in front of the hotel are delicious. It's a nice place to get around because streetcars run by.Nearby activities: Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard HillSafety: While visiting Fisherman Wharf until 10 p.m., I didn't see any homeless people, so I didn't feel anxious at all, and it seemed like a safe area.Walkability: Cars give way to pedestrians.
Angela M.: next door. Sushi place across street. More restaurants in short walk.
les: then this property is a good location as its within moderate walking distance to trolley or other public transportation that is inexpensive to utilize. We had a rental car and I'll say their parking garage, though welcome for being secure, is nerve-wracking tight to maneuver in and limited spaces. Driving San fran is pretty crazy too, and there's the threat of your car being damaged due to theft if parked outside. Our car got hit with some kinda food item thrown while just driving around, I'd recommend avoiding if possible and utilizing public transit or rideshare. You stay here for the location, the free breakfast, and the service and value expected from Comfort Inn. And in that they are fulfilling expectation in my opinion.Nearby activities: Near transportation to downtown if able to walk 15 or so minutes.Walkability: Streets of San fran are notorious and infamous for their steep grades, but there are public transportation that go by or the trolley isn't too far away for that iconic experience.
Adriana Toral Chinazzo: .Breakfast is fine: coffee, tea, water, juice, toast, muffins, waffles, scrambled eggs, meat, jams and some fruits; is recovered. It is advisable not to go at the last minute to avoid last minute bustle. There are only two elevators for 11 floors, it didn't bother me, but it is important not to leave plans to the last minute.WiFi works well. You can use the dining room during the day and tourist information is available.I would stay here again. It is functional, very good location.
J. Menjivar: My experience was okay compare to this other reviews stayed on the 11th fl curatins where definitely dark enough to block any sunlight. Only issues was the elevator 1 out of 2 working and would take longer then usual waiting to go up as well as to come down to the lobby we did have a refrigerator but no microwave. Food was okay eggs, sausage, bacon, quaker, bread, waffles, as well as coffee, orange juice and apple juice. I would recommend.Rooms: Rooms seemed clean enough and we had plenty of towels to use. If we needed more they will provide.Nearby activities: This spot was close and very convenient to all famous tour locations as well as close to the pier and Alcatraz Tour.Safety: Seems safe hardly did I notice any homelessness or any other suspicious activities.Walkability: The most crooked street Lombard St, was only 3 blocks away. If you are physically active you can walk anywhere from 20-30mns to certain locations or ride the bus 10-15 mns away.
Cecilia Hjort: Okay hotel for this price. We were 3 adults in the same family and had a room with 2 queen beds, spacious to share a bed. The room is fresh but the elevator is incredibly tough. Close to Fishermans Warf, good pizza across the road and breakfast was okay. Waffles, yogurt and muffins. The area felt safe to walk in the evening. We had wonderful views of the Golden Gate Bridge both morning, sunset and evening.

Erin: but it's far from relaxing. A young, adventurous person's hotel to be sure.Actually ya know what the shower was good and the bed was comfy, so edited to add a star back. And uh I guess thanks for the wild story 😂 the rooms are certainly unforgettable.
Halldor Geirsson: I have mixed feelings about my stay here. As every room is different, I guess I did not luck out and had rather dull decorations. It was bothersome to have the shared bathroom, probably just a few rooms shared bathroom, but everything was perfectly clean despite being a bit run-down. Room service was great. It was easy to reach the reception via the phone in the front desk and they were very helpful with everything. The adjoining bar, Harland Records was great. I guess with the lack of reception and the spacious refrigerator, the hotel felt more like a home.
Jobie Jacomine: !! It was also convenient to hop on transit to get around town. There’s a great French bistro right next door and a WONDERFUL bar in the back of the lobby called Harlan Records!! Check in and check out was pretty convenient although you have to make sure to bring your phone with you every time you leave the room. All and all this was a very quirky hotel and a fair price. If you’re a bohemian you’ll love it, if you’re looking for luxury definitely move on!! I do wish the rooms had a little better ventilation and it could have been a tad cleaner. Overall it was a great stay!! Thanks for hosting me!!
kevy: I really loved my stay here in this charming hotel. People calling it a "glorified hostel" need a reality check. I stayed here for a good week so I have a solid experience with this hotel .The deluxe room was spacious and the attached washroom was a very nice addition. Most of the rooms have shared washroom/shower so if you need more privacy I recommend getting a deluxe ensuite room but the shared washrooms were barely used from what i've seen. The wifi is really fast and not spotty at all, so if you need to do a hotel with reliable wifi this hotel will do the job. Also the hotel is very clean and the maid cleaning service is daily. The hotel doesn't have AC but if you get a portable hand held fan that will be more than enough to keep you cool. Your phone is also your key so make sure you have a backup charger on you when you go explore the city. The TV here is amazing lol like that is so random to say but it was huge and very modern. I set up my disney plus once and it stay connected for the rest of my stay.Front desk receptionist hours were pretty random but the hotel sends check in instructions via email ahead of your stay so if you don't get any correspondence from them a day or two before your stay give them a call. Also don't be afraid to ask someone lingering in the hotel lobby for help because I'm pretty sure they had the same questions as you did when you first checked in.The location with this price point can't be beat. You are literally right in front of the dragon gates of chinatown and in the heart of union square. Also if you like walking if you go west on bush street for 40 mins you are in japantown! You are also near a couple BART train stations as well as MUNI bus stops. They both have great phone apps so download them before you come to the city! Also just be respectful of the tenderloin district as people who are experiencing homelessness are living on the streets and its best to give them their space. I think it is best to travel via uber or taxi at night especially if you don't know your way around the city. Like all major cities just be aware of your surroundings and always take safety precautions.Overall I am very impressed with this hotel and it made my experience visiting SF so much better. So if you're looking for a clean, safe, and budget friendly hotel, hotel des arts is your stay! I don't usually leave long reviews like this if I didn't really have respect for the hotel and what it provides. A real gem in the city!!

Richard Evans: We had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Des Arts. The rooms were clean and tidy and the location was great. Room prices were excellent too, very affordable. This hotel met our needs perfectly. I’d also mention the bar attached to the hotel, Harlan Records, a cool vibe with great, friendly staff and worth popping in for a drink. I would recommend Hotel Des Arts for leisure travellers who are looking for an affordable place to stay in a good location.
