uvin: Friendly staff, not like the other Mexican bakery on 24th Street, I bought 5 loaves and it was only 12.50 so it was a good price too, next time I will buy tamales they say they are good

Sam Holladay: Even in a cutthroat city like San Francisco, some places are still run with love--with the kind of welcoming kindness you'd expect to see in a small village, not a few steps from a BART station. The owner of La Mejor Bakery is generous and thoughtful, once allowing me to come back hours after buying a pastry to pay for it, since I ran out of cash. One block away is Arizmendi--overpriced, overrated, and perpetually staffed by douchebags. It's a perfect reflection of the New Mission. In La Mejor, the Old Mission lives on.

Bob Brown: 1 dollar for small cookies and 4 for a chicken tamale. I had a tamale with green sauce and it was a big tamale, but lacked on the ratio/amount of chicken inside. Friendly owner and took my trash after eating.

Alexander Martinez: This is a great little bakery. It's conveniently off of the BART 24st exit and is also super close to El Farolito which is a banger. The only downside to this location is that they only accept cash. So be ready, if not you can stop at the liquor store 2 doors down and they have an ATM.

Angela Yee: I come here once in a while, and every time I have, the ladies behind the counter are always so friendly and kind. What's more is that despite that there's no prices written, it seems to not be a worry, because I will order multiple pastries and it will be much cheaper than I expected, like 2 big conchas was $3 last time I went. I have ordered multiple cookies and a pastry or two and still was under $5 too. They only accept cash so that is something to be aware of.

Eugenia Casillas: The best bread in the bay area💯🙏🤤 the service is cordial and friendly! It definitely always makes my day! He traveled an hour just to buy the bread FROM THE BEST BAKERY💕🥖🍞

Edgard Montenegro: Nice employees and friendly atmosphere.

Hailey Jones: We loved everything we got here! The custard pastry was my fave but the strawberry jam roll was a close second.

C. S.: As the name says, this really is the best little bakery. One of the women working behind the counter reminded me of my late grandmother. She was very kind. I was asking what the pig-shaped bread was called and my friend was translating for me. I then jokingly said that I was a sweet pig too and it made her laugh. I asked for a second piece of bread and they told me it was called a worm and I said well hey I am worm coloured. She seemed to be delighted. I really hope she has a wonderful day.Thank you so much for the free banana bread piece! I don't usually like banana bread but this was so delicious! You really are a fantastic baker. I hope to come back soon before I go back to Canada. Thank you thank you thank you.Muchas Gracias!

Jesse Boyes: Legend.

nestor ramirez: A good place to have coffee and pastries and have a chat with friends.

Erika Galavis: When I crave pan I Come to La Reyna. The quality of pan and the prices are very good. I love that they make conchas of diffrent colores.

Corrie Galvan: Good pan & kind customer service. We'll be back next time we're in the neighborhood.

Farshad P: Pretty good old school panaderia in the mission with freshly baked, not too sweet conchas and cuernitos with other classics. The prices are extremely fair, and everything seemed to be very authentic. They didn’t have any coffee when I went. However the experience overall was great and the guy working there was super friendly! Would definitely go back.

dreamynation: I came by this place due to the high amount of great reviews. The bakery I got in the photo attached did not disappoint. I was thinking about it all day after I had it. One of the best bakery no wonder why this place is so popular. I don't have much to say about their other items since I didn't try it, but I'd retuen to just try this one again!

James Leahy: Food is all 1st rate.Parking is a minefield of difficult to read signs. Got two parking tickets within 4 minutes with our two visits. It’s as if parking police are waiting in hiding for you to stop and pounce. We spent $180 on two tickets. We’ll never stop here again. Instead, we’ll drop someone off.Recommendation: don’t even stop in a red or yellow area to drop someone off or you’ll get pounced on by parking zealots who write tickets faster than you can roll your window down.

Mitchell Hanson: . For the one on the left, the outside was caramelized with granulated sugar and bread itself was extremely soft and layered. The cream custard inside was sweet, moist, and solid enough not to drip everywhere. The other flakey breaded dessert with powdered sugar had the same custard which was lovely. Again, not tax, all cash.I would invite anyone who is visiting the area looking for great bakes or someone looking to get someone else a baked gift to try this place!

Jorge Perez: Great Pan dulce!

Isrrael Martínez: Delicious bread

Naea Naea: It's very tasty Mexican bread, BUT it's pricy. They offer cinnamon coffee, which will remind you of cafe de olla....

Erika Galavis: My son and I stopped by to get some Conchas and polvorones. Los panes were freshly made and they were good. The prices are not on display, I was surprised to pay $2 for each pan. I can get the same quality of pan few bakeries down the street for cheaper.

oz: one of the best donuts of my life!!

Carlos: Been going here for a long time, definitely recommend. Wide variety of breads and some coffee options

Baba: Cheap Eats in the Mish. When I got $10 on me in cash, this spot is one of my go to.Pan con todo. Trust me, it's thy one. I believe it goes for $6.50 at the moment, so that's truly blessed. Filling too. It's a cash only spot. Plenty of seating inside, and open really early!I use to order the pan con todo with chorizo. Comes with queso fresco, refried beans, sour cream, scrambled eggs, and fresh chorizo. Pause. This spot is gas. It's almost like mama is making breakfast for you. Haven't tried their pastries or cafecito, but if they make their pan at the shop that they use for the pan con todo, keep doing what you do. Love this spot a lot, feels like you're at home when you're eating here.Recently tried their pan con todo con pollo adobado. I think it's recently added with other panes on the menu as well. Now this hit different. They packed it too, and they used real fresh ingredients. I prefer their panes compared to Universal Bakery down on 30th and Mission, and I've been to Universal several times. Keep doing what you guys do. The people that work here are lovely, and you can tell their family oriented. They won't disappoint you with their dishes.

F. Fang: Very friendly staff, a nice selection of Mexican breads, cakes and pastries. Overall, the breads I've tried there are fresh, have good texture, and not overly sweet. Always try to stop by when I'm in the area.

Maria A: My favorite panadería on Mission. Fresh and really delicious sweets. Their bread pudding with raisins and pineapple filled cake is to die for!

Christina H: Concha $1.50Galleta $1.50Oreja $3.50I think this may be my new favorite place for Mexican bread. The oreja is a bit more expensive but it’s sooooo gooood. Conchas and galletas I’ve always liked here as. They’re always more moist than other places I’ve been.$5 card minimum

V Hurtado: Went early this morning, concha I got was fresh. Way better than most I’ve had, very airy and moist. Woman working was friendly and the place was very clean.Total came out to $4.50 for three breads. All felt very distinct, over all pretty delicious

Chiara: I tried the huge croissant and a dessert with cream and both were delicious. Coffee is also very good and cheaper than all the other in the city and the staff is amazing. My favorite place, very suggested.

Natalie: The mini cupcakes are my go-to for work treats for my team and I snag a few extra for the parking attendants, they’re a hit with everybody! The fruit tarts, croissants and cookies are very delicious also, as is the quiche!Be mindful of the small space and all the signs instructing people to stay outside to wait in line until they are called in. Tons of entitlement leads to certain people just walking in and being totally oblivious to the practices set by the bakery.Sign up for their rewards, you could get first dibs on free items with purchase!

Colleen Coolish: The baked goods are amazing.Vegetarian options: Only one type of quiche had meat. All other items are vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Most of their bread is vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor. No stairs

José Luis Escuer Ibarz: The best bakery in the neighborhood. I'm walking quietly from 29th to buy bread and their excellent cookies.

Shivani Kaw: Love their baked goods.

Peter Farejowicz: Neighbor Bakehouse has long been a Dogpatch icon but I finally got to try it and can’t wait to go back already. The selection of yummy pastries here is rather large so whether you’re looking for sweet or savory they have you covered. The inside of the shop is small with all seating being outside in the patio area. They have a small coffee bar to the left and a couple racks of pastries sorted by sweet and savory. Things do tend to run out so go early for the best variety.I tried two things on my visit the banana bostock the pistachio blackberry croissant. While the croissant was good the banana one definitely was the winner. They have a lot of other specialty options which I didn’t try that I want to on my next visit like the strawberry matcha one.For parking, you can grab some nearby on the street so if you’re ever in Dogpatch drop by!

Esther Park: The ginger pull apart is heaven

Scott Lee: , to the friendliest staff, it’s always a pleasure to be there on weekends to get my baked good fix. Ham + cheese croissant and mushroom tart. My favorites!Pro-tip: Starting at 9am, you can order from their online platform so you can skip the long lines and pick up from the window. It’s saved me tons of time!

Susie Su: was average. They run out of things by end of day so I recommend going early!Recommended dishes Bakery …

Sonya Peters: and a double espresso for 13.50. The prices are fair, they don't pressure you to auto tip when paying, and the pastries were top notch. The danish was perfectly chewy without being too soggy. The croissant was crispy and chewy with the perfect amount of crunch without the chewy and softness not taking away from the crisp of the croissant. I would definitely visit this bakery again and recommend you visit while you are in SFO. Top notch!

Milo: Absolutely gorgeous space. Very full of whimsy and great cafe vibes. The custom cake we ordered was absolutely delicious and not a single person didn't like it. I personally, don't like chocolate or cakes, and I still ate most of my slice. Absolutely delicious and wonderfully made. The service is very friendly and helpful and I had no problems ordering online and picking up.

Susan Abraham: Heard this was a place to try when in San Francisco and it didn’t disappoint. The bakery is large well organized and clean.Prices are in line with all the other restaurants in the area. My family and I tried a few items all were good. A few notes. Sourdough breads have a bit of a tang that’s totally fine by me but not everyone’s cup of tea. The bread was super crusty - if you have teeth or gum issues stick to the soup.We tried the clam chowder was hot and thick and creamy. Standard flavour nothing to brag about. We ordered the crab chowder and the flavour was great. My only issue is the serving in the bread bowl looks big but basically is the size of the small soup so not sure it’s worth the value but flavour was great. Sandwiches were all good. We also bought scones cookies and brownies. All tasted great. It’s definitely a place to try once when at the wharf.

Marco Polo: Good sandwiches, soups, etc.Price/performance ratio good.

Russell Reed: and eating outdoors in the SF sunshine.
