Jeff Perosi: I found A Path that Fits when I was at a crossroads between jobs. I wasn’t happy in my current work but with so many paths ahead of me I didn’t know what to do and the sheer amount of options to sift through was overwhelming. I began searching for placement/recruiting help then came across reverse recruiting and then career coaching in an effort to find expertise that could help me leverage where I was to what I could do.Stumbling upon A Path that Fits is already one of the best things I’ve ever done. I had an intro call with Amanda and was immediately struck by how passionate, supportive and knowledgeable she was. I took the course and swiftly learned more about myself in the first section of the course than I had through alot of my life. You start off with a bunch of self discovery so you can fit what you do to who you are. Through the entire process, Amanda and Adrian were the most supportive, helpful and encouraging people you could ask for. They do monthly group coaching sessions and also check in personally with each member through the process. It couldn’t be more clear to me how much they care about the outcomes of the people they work with and helping them find their path. The process not only led me to get to know myself better but I am beginning down an exciting new career path I wouldn’t have discovered without Adrian, Amanda and A Path that Fits. I think this should be required work for anyone in high school trying to select a career! Could not recommend more highly!
A S: I took Adrian's career course about 1 - 2 years ago and it was life changing in the best way possible! The program was very accurate, thorough, and insightful in order for me to gain a better understanding of who I am in a professional sense that aligns with my values, priorities, and season of life. After taking Adrian's course, I took an additional course in my field of interest, volunteered extensively, and landed my ideal role. I'm now a mediator. Sharam Pavri: A Path That Fits was the third coaching program I turned to and by far the best. I opted for the online program because self-pacing worked for me. And in short, it was a life-changer. Yes, the program helped identify a vocation/career as expected, but more important and more valuable was the better understanding of self it brought. So rather than just looking for a job, it helped me first understand who I am, what I naturally gravitate towards, and what I am naturally good at. So rather than a job, it provided me a list of to criteria that a job needs to fit ME. All of a sudden I was doing the interviewing versus the other way around. It was so refreshing. I can honestly say I get up everyday loving what I do, and it’s such a different feeling after 10 years of running a business that wasn’t aligned with who I am. I recommend you give this program a shot if you are truly looking for something that can truly be life-altering. In fact, I continue to work with Adrian from APTF on a one-to-one basis years after being in the program because the guidance and direction are that invaluable to me. Few things in life make such significant differences, and this did for me; and I hope it does the same for you.
Aya Rashad: I signed up for 3 sessions with A Path That Fits on a whim after getting laid off from my longtime job and feeling completely lost as to where I wanted to take my career next. I went into it expecting standard interview prep, maybe some feedback on my resume - nothing mind-blowing. Emily Wilson Brenner: After months of feeling stagnant in my career, I signed up for the Career Pathfinder Coaching program. The course, which was the most affordable option, is well-developed and provides a vast array of resources for self-reflection and action. Group meetings on Zoom provided a sense of community, solidarity, and inspiration. The outcome for me was a nuanced shift in my professional life, but the self-inventories and reflections could also lead to a bigger career change. I highly recommend the course to anyone who senses a need for a career shift, small or large.

Erulastiel: This review is long overdue. When I first came across A Path That Fits I was in a bad place in my job search. I had recovered from an illness post-grad school but could not find a job and didn't know what I wanted to do anymore. I bounced from one field to another with no success and was close to giving up. I was skeptical APTF could work for me. But I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did.The Clifton’s Assessment on my gifts was very helpful because it confirmed what I always knew about myself in what I need in a career, that I wasn’t weird and let me know that I what I can bring to a workplace is unique and special. The Group Coaching sessions with Adrian and meetings with my Accountability Buddies were also crucial. I started APTF right before the COVID19 pandemic hit and everyone was sheltering in place in addition to the George Floyd protests. These virtual meetings helped me stay grounded, focused and kept me connected with people on the same journey as me which also helped my mental health.As I got to the end of the program the exercises to help create your narrative and tell the story of your career journey were critical to gain my confidence back—something I hadn’t felt in a long time. It took me a while to find the right position but when I did it practically fell into my lap. I wouldn’t be able to recognize it nor have the confidence to believe I deserved it without APTF and I’m eternally grateful to Adrian. I highly recommend APTF.

This was my first time seeing a nutritionist, and I really wanted to make sure that their approach was aligned with my value system. I have been struggling with yo-yo dieting and a negative relationship with food for my whole life. Since I started working with Madison and she introduced me to Intuitive Eating, I can honestly say that I feel freer and calmer around food than ever before. Julia T: I have seen Kristy Crandell virtually since December of last year because I went through a lot with my health before I saw her. The way I was being treated did not work for me before her, except with the doctors at the hospital I was in during 2019. I knew she was the right person for me. David Shack: We worked with Kristy at Wellspace to help our daughter deal with some food-related issues and we couldn't be happier with the support we received. Kristy was always pleasant and positive in our interactions and it was obvious that she was extremely knowledgeable and able to provide expert guidance. She set up a system for us to help our daughter through an elimination diet that was very clear, orderly, and well supported. While we worked through this challenging exercise, Kristy always made it doable by providing recipes and resources. She even sent us things during the week like recipes that were aligned with our daughter's preferences. For example, if our daughter said she missed eating pretzels, Kristy would hunt down a great pretzel recipe and send it right away. She listened carefully to what we shared and made sure she understood our needs exactly by asking very astute and helpful questions. Kristy was very adept at looking holistically at what we were trying to do and could not only address the specific nutritional issues, but she was also able to understand and address the impact of stress and the larger context of our daughter’s daily experiences to provide an integrated solution. Furthermore, she was also very skilled at eliciting information and analyzing emerging patterns to better adjust the plan on an ongoing basis. We couldn’t have done it without Kristy and highly recommend her!

Nate Wang: Love Sara Groton and her approach to working with clients!She manages to reframe things in the simplest way that not only make them stick, but make them manageable. Before, I always thought of being hungry or full on a 1-10 scale. Instead, I now see it as a -5 to 5 scale, where we should always be shooting to stay between -2 and 2. It's so much easier to visualize and understand and helps me assess with better accuracy what I'm feeling and whether or not I need that extra snack.

His introduction of cardio and strength exercises was just what I needed to learn to start an exercise program. He provided clear instructions and answered all my questions. I appreciated his friendly and personable interaction with me. He encouraged me to be consistent in my new goal to exercise. The entire staff at the gym was also very friendly. You will not find better.More details and context follow for anyone who might find themselves in the same place I did a year + ago when I started working with Audra.I hurt myself in a snowboarding accident on Christmas 2014. I didn’t realize that my rightmost lower floating rib had come a little loose, and x-ray convinced me it wasn’t broken, so I was to walk it off, and believed them.Grad school and then starting work took up most of my time 2015-2017. At first I thought that being sedentary or getting old or both were causing the stiffness. By early 2018 I was barely crawling along and didn’t know where to start seeking help.In late 2020, I found a chiropractor who wrung my musculoskeletal system out and lined me back up, but that kept falling apart.Chiropractor referred me to Corey from J Bodyworks, who helped me start building my strength back up.As my strength came back, the pain I lived with for so long started to recede, but I started experiencing a new type of pain: the type you experience when you’re strength training for the first time, and trying to build yourself back up.And that’s when Corey referred me to Audra. I don’t know where I would be now without her help. I never thought that strength training would lead to the kinds of muscle tension that required a sports massage, and wouldn’t have known what to do other than live with the pain and continue to believe that the damage was permanent.Worth mentioning. The only reason I’m even writing this review is because Audra helped me recover to the point that sitting at a computer isn’t torture anymore 😊 if it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be able to write this review 🙃To summarize: if you are strength training, and are experiencing soreness, tightness, or muscular discomfort of any kind, please do yourself a favor and reach out to Audra. You will walk away moving and feeling a LOT BETTER.

One of my friend was bragging about her treatment with J and Luke and She got me enrolled. I booked an appointment and it all came down to this sentence: I did my body a favor! J definitely knows his job. He knows anatomy of nerves and muscles so well, that he can exactly trigger the right muscle to get the blood flowing or lubricate the joint. I highly recommend him for any sport/work related injury. Do your body a favor and book an appointment with him. Being a dentist and dealing with pain for many years, I had all sort of different treatments but I can say not everyone spends enough time to really explore your weak spots and knows how to manipulate those muscles so they would start working. I was very reluctant to get into a program with a personal trainer because I always felt the cost outweigh the benefits. I was a self-trainer and objected every time the subject came up. Then came Covid19 and I could not go to the gym. I was cooking and baking more and more, and the weight crept on. My blood sugar level skyrocketed and my daughter grew genuinely concerned. She signed me up for online personal training with Eury and I said, “yes I will try it out for one month”. Well, I am into my third month and the weight is coming off, my blood sugar level is under control and I am feeling great again. My minor aches and pains were the first thing she address. Andrew Cohen: I've trained with 4-5 trainers over the years and Anthony C. is on some next level stuff. Seriously, I think most trainers focus on frying your muscles by utilizing heavy weights or so many reps where they loose track of counting... this is not what's happening at J Bodywork. They are focused on improving coordination and preventing future injuries by utilzing neurology in their workouts. If you been injuried or want to train smarter this is the place for you. I am certain it will be a different and better experience than you've had at other personal training gyms.
Alissa Yee: Euridice was AMAZING. During her strength class, she helped me fix my posture, and she took the time to review the basics. She introduced fun workouts that I have never done before, like arm wrestling while planking! During her mobility class, she helped me really open up my hips. This class alone improved my mile by 30 seconds, and I’m pretty flexible as is! I would recommend her classes to anyone who is looking to improve their strength, mobility and posture.

He has such an in-depth knowledge about the body and functional health, combined with amazing creativity around the variable ways his clients can reach their goals. More than anything, he is especially skilled at listening: he gets the full picture of where you’re starting, what you’re out to accomplish, and makes every effort to come up with a prescriptive, tailored approach just for you. Katherine Hennes: BEST gym of all time. I got stronger and more consistent coming here than I’ve ever been, which has also translated into noticeable mental health gains. This is all thanks to the excellent coaching and programming, the welcoming community, and supportive atmosphere. Even in the small-group classes, you’ll get help with your form, modifications if you need them, and often cheerleading from the rest of the class to reach a PR. Thank you in particular to Sara, Kris, Jacob, Jon, and the rest of the P4L team, you are amazing!

She accommodated my crazy, unpredictable schedule, and was never on her phone or distracted. She paid attention to every rep and would even take notes so that she could update our game plan. On top of being an awesome coach, Sara is a lovely human being -- on days where the wedding planning stress hit hard and I shed a few tears, she showed me a great deal of kindness and I could tell that she is just a genuine person overall. She's definitely someone I felt lucky to have in my corner!Other coaches that I never trained with have also always been extremely friendly and approachable here -- there is an authentic family dynamic as well as true talent at Perform For Life -- you can't go wrong! :

Since then I’ve been able to progress and we’ve adjusted the training program to hit new and different fitness goals, alongside working on nutrition and mobility.The classes provide a great environment for training, with the other members supporting each other and pushing one another to do their best. The instructors design very well rounded classes, giving you a great workout in just 50 short minutes that are done before you know it. Each instructor has a background and certification in training, and even in the small groups you’re able to get form coaching and exercise modifications to meet your needs.I can’t say enough about how much I’ve enjoyed being a part of this community and what a positive impact it has had on my health - thank you P4L!

Brent Hong: which built my confidence when training on my own. I highly recommend James, especially if you’re looking to implement strength training to assist in other sports such as running! I always looked forward to my sessions and he was extremely accommodating when I wasn’t able to make certain training sessions.
Joshua Mayer: Great facilities and excellent trainers. I started coming to Custom Fit after tearing two discs in my lower back over two years ago. I began with solo training sessions for a year before my fiance starting joining me for partner sessions. The training regiments are “custom fit” to your needs, so in my two years there we have focused on core strength and lower back mobility while also getting in a full body workout. My current trainer Charles has been a true inspiration and i highly recommend him to anyone who thinks they lack the inner strength to overcome any physical adversity life has thrown at you.

Stephanie Chen Gulla: ...but James is soooo different. He's got incredibly welcoming energy, and is so good at ramping up to a pace that feels achievable, yet also pushes your limits. I immediately saw results without feeling beat up at the end of a workout.James also always shares with me the science and physiology behind what we're doing. He's helped me understand and recognize what muscle groups are working for each exercise, and that has made me infinitely more aware of my own body. We started with weight training because it actually burns more fat than pure cardio. And it was incredible to pretty quickly be able to lift my school-age son like it was nothing!Whenever I felt like I was plateauing because it was so hard to make time for exercise, James would brainstorm with me different approaches of incorporating activity with my schedule. By creating micro-goals that felt achievable, I'm now someone who is working out in some capacity - swimming, running, dance classes, etc - several times a week
Merrill Grant: I have had a fantastic experience here with with Lizzy G. I'm a trained classical dancer and appreciate her care and expertise. She finds new ways of helping me train muscle groups to fire together without other unnecessary muscles engaging, works with me on balance, agility and upper body strength. I highly recommend her.

They truly have everything one could want.I found Custom Fit initially when looking for a place to do a DEXA scan in April 2023. I had wonderful experience with Evan who walked me through my scan without judgement and provided me with all the information I needed to understand the scan in its entirety.Following my DEXA scan - and per Evan's suggestion - I signed up to work with a nutritionist, Tarah. Tarah has been a critical part of my health journey and I am so thankful for her tips and motivation over the last 6 months. Working with her, I have successfully lost 20lbs+ and feel stronger, healthier and more confident than I ever have in my life. More importantly, she has changed my relationship to food and has even gotten me into cooking! I am so thankful for her and again, feel lucky to have access to Tarah as well as DEXA/other resources all at one studio.Lastly, this review would not be complete without highlighting my personal trainer, Jonathan. I have struggled to find gyms/fitness classes that I have stuck to and have been self-conscious about getting back to the gym after gaining weight/not prioritizing enough time to fitness throughout the pandemic. I was matched with Jonathan and from day one have felt comfortable and supported by him. I love the workouts he programs and can feel myself getting stronger every week. He challenges me every session and I always leave feeling accomplished and with a smile on my face after all his funny stories - a great distraction during the tough workouts he plans. Rory Gallagher: I just started with Custom Fit last week. Two sessions in and I am hooked. I have not been to a gym or had a personal trainer in 20+ years, so I was very nervous about it considering that I am fairly unfit. I’ve partnered up with Anthony Dandrea as my trainer and it’s been nothing short of amazing. The facilities are great. It’s not crowded and everyone in the gym is just doing their thing, so my fears of people watching me are totally unfounded. In two sessions, Anthony took the time to get to know me, hear about my goals, and then he met me where I am currently at with fitness. I know he will push me, but he delivers it in such an encouraging and positive way, it honestly feels like I just have a friend cheering me on from the sidelines. Anthony and the team at Custom Fit should be super proud. Highly recommended and ready to keep booking sessions.

Olivia Warnecke: I have had a *phenomenal* experience at Custom Fit. My trainer Chris Finlez is perfectly matched to me both in my training needs and personality. Just an excellent, flexible, highly skilled trainer and on top of that has physical therapy experience which has come in handy for my lower back issues and shoulder problems. He also adjusts my training based on my fitness habits outside of the gym, keeping a close eye on my hips and knees as I am an active walker/runner.On top of all of this, the DEXA scan was unbelievably insightful, showing my imbalances, my bone density, and my weak points based on my age. Cannot express enough how great this place is if you are a data nerd like myself.The gym in Hayes Valley is very cool, open, not crowded, clean and focused on strength and flexibility. This isn't the place to just come and jump on a cardio machine - its a holistic experience with racks, sleds, ropes, stability balls, lots of weight machines, foam rollers, and a dope ice plunge bath and sauna.
