Biac WaVe: I have been a student at the San Francisco campus for 2 months now and the campus is awesome even though it might be smaller than the other. The activities offered by the school are amazing, the activity manager Rodney tries his best to keep everyone entertained by offering various activities so that everyone finds something for him-/herself.I went to almost every sports event that was offered so far and I don’t regret going to any of these.Regarding the host family be prepared because it will be different then what you might expect but it is still a very nice experience. One thing I have to say is that i would recommend going to EF San Francisco if you are over 21 that is in my opinion the best age for here. One thing that I will never forget are the amazing bonfires at the Ocean Beach planned by Rodney.Going to EF San Francisco is in my opinion the go to if you want to be independent.
Lennart Kasch: I have been staying in the school for almost 3 months already and I have to say it is amazing! The method of teaching is way different from what you may know but it makes the classes more interesting and enjoyable. For me it is a great experience so far and I can totally recommend coming here.Because the school is relatively small in comparison to the other EF schools it creates a very familiar atmosphere.
Dmitry Fedorov: Brilliant school with lovely students and teachers😘
Dsh Y: It was very good!
Hirofumi Oki: It was a good place
Montserrat Rodal: Great experience, defo had an amazing time while staying there, shot out to the activities coordinator cause almost every day was something different and fun to do. But i must admit they lack organization such as in the school, residence and few activities.
virginie leclère: a hyper dynamic teacher alternating lessons and Californian culture. A small group of motivated students. Very good understanding. Clear and precise lesson planning. Course content and teaching that met my expectations. Even among French people, English was required. very pleasant city, impossible to get bored, there is so much to do and see. The Hub is on the edge of a district where the homeless are very present. Cohabitation is going very well. Nobody was bothered.
Ana Bento de Carvalho: Amazing!
Samuel Piskorski: Jason harry and Rodney made my entire trip worth it. I would have went home early if it were not for them!
Soledad Melo: I had an amazing time at EF. The activities were my favorite part! Rodney did an amazing job!

Wook Chung: China Live is unique in many ways. You are put in this street market type of atmosphere with touristy, yet quite authentic and modern interior, loud and noisy as ever, while being served pseudo fushion Chinese food. The experience is great overall, especially right by China Town. The food is tasty in most ways. The sea bass was spot on. Some of the buns and dumplings were great. The shrimp / crab spring roll sticks were mindblowing. But also, there were some unnecessary garnishes and overly inventive twists where perfectly good classical food was over spiced or peppered. The presentation was perfect - not too gaudy and adequate to generate a sense of homeliness and small-town street market. Ingrdients are fresh. I would just hope that the chef didn't try too much to pander to tourists. For example, the Peking duck in a pocket is a fabulous idea on paper, but clearly they had pre-made it and it really was cold in the inside. Again, this isn't your classical Chinese restaurant.Service was quite hectic and dismal. Because it was a street market, food would arrive in random order by random people. You had no idea what had arrived or what hadn't, how much you had left, etc. The 8 of us were served in a genuine random way. Even till the very end, we weren't quite sure who our server was. Oh, did I mention our drinks only came out half way through the unstructured meal? Also, they put us on this 6 person table with 2 of us squeezed at the two ends where there was really no place to put your legs.Again, the atmosphere was wonderful and overall, we had a good time. The prices are quite expensive for Chinese food but then, you are paying a premium for the "gentle fusion" experience.Great place to have a date or a business meal. Will certainly return!Vegetarian options: Decent vegetarian selection across each section.Kid-friendliness: This place isn't friendly for kids. Too noisy and street/bar style.
Stephanie Curtis: We really enjoyed our food. We had the yangzhou fried rice, the spicy curry, the wings, chicken dumplings with that delicious chili broth, and the char siu crunchy buns. The shaved mango ice with sesame ice cream was sooooooo good.More than anything, we deeply appreciated our server Rafi. My husband always says, "What comes from the heart has a tendency to reach the heart." We felt Rafi's care and attention to detail. He answered our questions and made our first-time experience at China Live unforgettable. He seemed like a genuinely kind person and was absolutely the best server we've ever encountered.
Vivaan Barai: One of the best Chinese food!

Andrea Nevermind: So glad the three of us chose this place for lunch! Food was excellent!! We sat outside. The owner asked if we had been there before. When we said no, he smiled, took our menus, and ordered for us: pork bao buns, steamed dumplings, crispy shrimp packets, BBQ ribs & zucchini spears. Shrimp, beef and Broccoli in a Dijon honey mustard sauce and table made sizzling shrimp and chicken fried rice. I would visit again!

Angad Bedi: Szechuan chicken
Fabs Guts: The restaurant is very busy, which, in addition to the Michellin recommendation, makes a good impression. The food was tasty, the service was quick. The service fee is debatable, we found it quite high…
Grace Tong: Despite having Michelin awards, the food was honestly just mediocre to me.Additionally, the wait line system was not explained clearly. When we first entered, they asked us to wait outside. After we came back in 30 minutes, they said we should write our name down and wait for another 30 minutes. So, we ended up waiting about an hour to get to a table, which we had to share with others. There is a mandatory 18% service charge along with a 4% SF Employee mandate, and they still asked for a tip. Just no, lol.
Victor Yates: Food was impeccable, the only thing that wasn't excitingly flavorful was the tea which was to be expected. The staff did a tremendous job of serving us amazing food. The actual service was a tad bit slow, however if you don't worry about that then I highly recommend this place. If I was in the area, I would immediately return. Whether you have kids or not, for AMAZING Chinese food this is the place to be.Dietary restrictions: Whatever your need, I'm sure they would be flexible per your request. If unsure, call before hand.Parking: It's downtown so I would park at the closest parking garage then mosey on over.Kid-friendliness: They did an excellent job of serving our children and we had a lot of them.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for entry and exit of restaurant.

Marilyn Castillo: Sylvan is amazing! The tutors, staff are really accommodating and very knowledgeable. Since my daughter started Sylvan I’ve seen her improved a lot with math homework, she’s more confident in doing her math work. She’s always excited to come to Sylvan. As much as possible she doesn’t want to miss any sessions, because her tutors are inspiring her to learn more. She is preparing for her HSPT test and because of her math and reading sessions her HSPT practice tests are on the highest percentile. We’re so grateful that we enrolled our daughter in Sylvan!
Shwe Shwe: My daughter has started her reading class since last month. She really loves it and enjoyed her reading class. Teachers and staff are very friendly, helpful and supportive. So far, everything is smooth and her reading habit is improving. Thank you, instructors and all staffs.
Jacqui Bos: Sylvan has a great program for helping kids with homework and academic supplement. My kids love their tutor, Zoe. She’s friendly, encouraging and gives them great advice.
Lily Chu: The staffs are very understanding and friendly. My son never had any complaints and always enjoys his sessions. I like how they provide a progress report about my son’s sessions from time to time to keep me up to date.
Lisbeth Lule: He truly say the in care about making sure your child knows the things before moving onto something else this is truly helped our son even with his learning disabilities it has continued to help him thrive in school especially in all aspects of his learning I would 10 out of 10 recommend for anyone looking for a tutoring service definitely worth the investmentMy son says even with coming after school he still comfortable and is excited to have tutoring services
Diahanna Christie: Sylvan has been a great experience. I interviewed multiple tutorial services and what stood out to me about Sylvan is their holistic approach. They did a true assessment and fully evaluated my child instead of regurgitating what I gave for the reason initially coming to the program. My daughter is doing this for enrichment, and I like how the testing proved exactly what I said, her strong points and weak areas. Although our goal there is to improve her writing something they don't do for the 3rd graders I am see improvement in her confidence.
Brendan Hallinan: Conor Hallinan: Great and fun tutoring! Very helpful with improving grades too.
Amy: A nice, and great tutoring place!
Nancy Hom: Sylvan continues to be great for our son. He continues to progress and enjoys his time while he's there. His instructors are supportive and I feel they have really helped him catch up from the pandemic and those years of not being in-person with his teacher. We're now focusing on areas of growth beyond what he's learning in the classroom and he looks forward to his lessons each time we swing by. The team at Sylvan are understanding, kind and stay in touch with check-ins and progress reports. I feel secure there’s always someone looking out for him there, and I’m looped in. I’m so glad to have been referred here by my good friend!
Ann Morelli: Our daughter has grown so much in a very short period of time with Sylvan and we could not be happier. We love the check ins to review progress and follow up on requests for tutors etc.
Tamra Yap: My son said the tutors in Sylvan are patient and they acknowledge the topic very well and treat my son with kindness. He is learning about writing essays at center and it helps in his school. He is also learning different topics in math, compared to school. I believe that it will benefit him later. I can always reach out to the director, Dylan, when I have a concern about my son’s education . If I have something coming up, I can always call or send messages to Lance who expresses a friendly manner.
Chrissy Chu: It really helps my kids learn a lot!
Susan Jiang: My son loves this place. They focus on the areas they need improvements and this is the first tutor he actually said he likes.
tommy mark: Sylvan help my son a lot like interrupting commas and context clues. Sylvan make my son focus on reading and understanding content. Sylvan help vocabulary understanding during reading.
Rebecca Leon: My son gets personalized tutoring for writing and help with English Language Arts homework. Unlike other tutoring centers, we like that he doesn’t get additional homework. The coordinator checks in with us every other month to adjust the tutoring to my son’s needs and interests.
Susan Lei: Jessica has been receiving Sylvan tutor servicing for almost a year. She is very engaged in learning and doing her schoolwork on time.
HungND: My third grader has shown significant improvement in his reading and vocabulary skills since attending Sylvan Learning Center at West Portal Ave.My sixth grader ,when he first started at Sylvan, his writing and reading were at a C level. However, with the dedicated support and guidance of the tutors, he has made tremendous progress, now consistently achieving B and A grades. The tutors have done an outstanding job in helping my sons improve their reading, vocabulary, and writing skills.
Yuyu Liang: Their grades have obviously improved
Ken yu: My kid Austin has done super great and is doing great with his class
