Aaron Thomas: We went here for my wife. She loves the small cafe at the base of the business but we were here for the shops upstairs. They have a great selection of various Lolita styles which she likes. A little bit expensive, but you can tell the shops offer quality products.

Asher McInerney: New people is an awesome collaborative of stores enriching the entire ambiance of Japantown. Ultra modern flair and design gives the structure and complex a true neo Japanese feeling. Make sure to check out all the elevens and stay updated on their list of events.

Kazuki: Good Japanese place

Rodney Pruitt: Great small theater

Cathy Castrillón: Great theater 👍

me: went out of business though...

Joshua Tabije: It was fun. Went to watch a movie at their basement theater and it was really nice. It was clear and it was pretty comfy. Would come back again!

Jean Stewart: Very courteous, professional, & helpful

Jasmyne Williams: Love the lunch menue. Staff were very nice. Love that I could get a whole tea cattle just for me!

Terry Ow-Wing: Comfy seats. Nice clean area. Good location to enjoy Jtown.

Krishin Asnani: It’s a theater where I happen to see the year’s best films ; Turkish film “About Dry Grasses “ at Little Roxie which is very decent sized screen; fun rings are pristine. Love the flowery artwork on the wall in its water closet. Also saw La Chimera here. Get the membership as it reduces movie tickets to ten dollars only. Also saw “ Joyland “ and “The Worst Person of the Year” here.It does need a facelift : the repertory portion isn’t as strong - past directors are mostly forgotten unless their death causes a splash - Goddard.

Abed Amas: A diamond in the rough. A San Francisco iconic location

David Chimes: Classic Indie theater in a wonderfully vibrant location.

Don Hall: This is not one's chain movie theater. It's funky and very down to earth with older equipment and older seats, but it really works. Great place to watch a movie with a marvelous ambiance and a very appreciative audience.

Chris Young: Perfect Days. Popcorn could use some help

Lane Jameson: An independent theater gem in a sea of lifeless theater chains. The Roxie is the real deal if you're a film fan. Great movie selection, good popcorn and concession choices, chill and friendly staff. What's not to love?

Benyam Ephrem: good vibes

Dean Sofer: Somehow always culturally relevant

Gord McCaw: Took in a movie in the Little Roxie, would have preferred to be in the Big Roxie but it wasn't doable that evening. Great place to see arthouse movies and documentaries you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere...

Jim Coursey: One of the last bastions of SF's once deep film culture, and now more than ever the best movie theater in town to see something completely unexpected.

Ton T: One of the few historic and grand theatres in the Bay Area. Come by for an experience of a by gone era.

m n: Beautiful theater is opulent and grand. Very affordable ticket prices too - $13 for an evening ticket. nice staff too- seems like they have been there a long time and truly care.

Kyle Harris: Well, I've never actually been inside it; but i can tell you it makes for a great picture if you don't catch someone doing dumb stuff in the background. High crime rate at this location so be careful

Gina Richardson: Love this theater. The pipe organ is great touch in the main theater. Cheap prices 1 day a week. Older theater but very kind people.

Mark Miller: I watched a very good movie, the employees were gracious. The theater was immaculate. I had popcorn, soda water and everything!!!!

PO: , they're also priced fairly

Lesley Nicole: Loved the different theater.

Freshy Sequa: The last experience I had here was great. They need to improve Their food and accommodations need to be improved. The movie was great and seems like they started hiring better people. I'd love to come back and watch the organist play

Alona Navarrete: This is a neat old-style type of movie theater, which was one of the few in the Bay Area in 2024 that screened a limited one-week engagement of Christopher Nolan's "Tenet" originally released in 2020.The main auditorium itself is quite grand, though the red velvet seats seem as if they're not vacuumed on a regular basis, as the theater had a distinctly dusty smell even while wearint a KN95 mask.

V O: Still a Grand place to see a movie

Dominique Harris: lovely architecture. staff is friendly. make sure to bring a jacket, because the auditoriums are freezing!

Kevin Kunze: One of my favorite movie theaters in the Bay Area. Free parking in the lot and extremely friendly staff. Also one of the theaters that hosts Doc Lands and the Mill Valley Film Festival. 🎞️

Chloe Anthony: Beautiful theater with great programming!

Kimberly Knight: I attended this theater with a group of people whom I choose to call friends. We viewed the Gene Wilder retrospect and I thought it was awesome! I really loved him as an actor and appreciate the honor bestowed upon him. Very much deserved! I especially loved the reference to his relationship with Gilda Radner, an amazing actress and wonderful woman. God bless both of you!!! And may we all be as blessed as they!

Bowen Dwelle: Great local theater screening well selected films. Very nice to have this place in the area!

Martin Ramos: Very nice theater. Conveniently located to parking and dining opportunities. I'm looking forward to going back.

Sebastian Garay: Great selection of movies with a an excellent staff

Scott Elkington: It's a great place for indie films.

Angela L: I was here for the MVFF. Super clean and nice comfy seats. Love it!

Mike S: Excellent for non main stream movies. Plenty of movie options and times.Small but very well stocked concession area.Seats of the theater were great as was the sound and lighting of the theater.Staff were helpful.

Greg Wilker: a beautiful landmark of Marin County...

Chocolate Unicorn: This theater is one of the gems of Marin County. The variety of high quality movies and the number of directors, actors etc they bring in to discuss their work is amazing. One of the best bangs for your buck is a membership which will allow you to attend many screenings for free.

Mark Levie: This is a special place honoring artistic entertainment in beautiful surroundings

Liza Loeffler: What a great theater! Loved the art house vibe of it and the films they show. It's right in a fun section of downtown San Rafael!

Russell Brand: Went to see The Killer there. Great movie. The theater is nice. Very modern equipment with good screens and sound. Seats were average, but prices were fair. Snack bar small but adequate. Does not serve alcohol though. Public parking right around the corner. San Rafael has a very nice downtown area. Will definitely go back again.
