Terry Hinton, M.Sc, MBA: I love this charming gay bar in Nob Hill and had a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly sweet and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the start. The vibe is relaxed, with a delightful old bar feel that invites you to settle in and enjoy. The decor is quite unique, adding to the allure of the place. Highly recommend for a laid-back night out in a friendly environment!

C S: Atmosphere: 5/5

Gerard Mc: Honestly this place was a total vibe. I didn’t have much time in San Francisco and honestly didn’t fancy trekking all the way out to the Castro area. Someone recommended this place to me and it didn’t disappoint. We had so much fun. The service was professional but approachable. Couple of highlights when they randomly played Mariah Carey all I want for Christmas in the middle of august lol. Everyone started singing along. Then a couple of patrons and bartenders had a competition to see who could fit the long balloons further down their throat lol! It was all in good jest. My friend said his vodka cranberry was strong so you know you were getting a strong pour 👏. Super fun place i would highly recommend.

Stevie Jepson: I'd read in other reviews that this bar was not welcoming to queer women, which may have been the case for others, but not for me. Our bartender, Scott, was absolutely lovely, he was kind and attentive and made the whole experience fun. As a queer woman, I say give it a chance, your experience probably depends on which bartender you get.

El Profe de TLR Tijuana: I visited The SF Eagle last September. I will return this weekend: I highly recommend it. You have fun, you listen to great music and all the people are friendly and receptive. Excellent place!

A. G.: Trust, men only, you'll enjoy yourself so much, you'll be drained by the end of the night..Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space

Nicholas Matranga: Always a great place to hang out and have a beer!

youtubero corinteño Nic: Nice place I love it

Heather Hoffman: Great bar! So many fun events. Back patio area is the hidden secret 🌿

Mari: This was a nice bar with plenty of space. They put on a good show. The bathrooms were great although a little splashed. I loved the open outdoor section. I went on a Sunday so things died down pretty early around 8 pm but all things considered I thought it was good. The main thing that I wasn’t expecting was that it’s male oriented but that was my bad since I didn’t really know the vibe before going. The drag show was fantastic and the staff were kind and helpful !

LaTasha William: Jolene's in the Mission District offers a stylish, modern bar experience. With a welcoming vibe, a dance floor, and tasty comfort food, including a popular weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas

Anna Tan: Safe and fun spot, didn’t like the silent disco. Not paying $10 to listen to music at a bar. I like the regular musicAtmosphere: 4/5 …

Tie Wang-Jones: Only been here once while in town from EU, was for UHual all female night and the eye candy was fantastic. Hot women of all backgrounds, love it! Def going back just for that. Plus free before 9pm, good deal before things get too crowded. We loved that it wasn’t too crowded too. Enough people but also plenty of space to chill and dance.

Alison Gombosi: Went to brunch yesterday for my mom’s 76th birthday. It was an absolute blast. We had so much fun and she was treated like a queen. Thank you to the whole amazing crew at Jolene’s. We will be back!!

Filomena Orsi: Karaoke Night was so much fun!

Robin S: We're visiting SF from the midwest, and this was the first time my wife and I had ever been to a lesbian bar. I cannot possibly stress enough what a fun, magical experience it was coming to Jolene's! The drinks were great, the staff were delightful, the dancers gave us heart palpitations, and the atmosphere was so energetic that we were just in awe at it all. It was amazing to have a place where we could have fun and be openly in love around other folks like us without any fear; that alone was almost more intoxicating than the drinks! It's also worth mentioning for anyone concerned that this place is super trans-friendly, so worry not on that front! I cannot recommend Jolene's enough, and we'll definitely be back before the end of our trip!

Scott Elliott: , Halloween night, and most recently on a beautiful Saturday evening. Each time the place was packed but service was speedy. Saturday preserved a burger

Travis Dawson: Great bar with a cool view of one of the most dangerous intersections in the world!

Ozkan Boyar: It’s fun place. DJ, friendly staff, dancing, smoking at the balcony. It has a great view.

Keith Neal: I went to the Lookout for years when it was KJ Cole and of course some of us follow KJ Lauren everywhere.JC, I have to ask. Was the volume a problem for you or is it a complaint on behalf of strangers.Anyway, now that I know all of the Mission can hear me, I can't wait to go again. They need to hear me and the sidewalk in front of Delerium wasn't working.

ant: Great place everything you would hope for...

Ati: Fabulous drag show and brunch with friends.

Claire Denman: , this stood out. Rating the music feels unnecessary because, well, it's The Castro—where we trust the gays with that 3Moving on to the venue itself, it offers ample space for a city club and a semi two levels, providing a nice sense of roominess. The dance floor isn't solid, as it encircles a platform used for performances. Drink prices fall within the normal range for bars/clubs, though you’ll get a gay pour. So it kinda balances itself out for price per ounce of liquor. I estimate an average spend of $30-50, considering most people consume around three drinks. The vibe here starts out okay and gradually amps up throughout the night. It's worth noting the presence of straight girl groups

Peerapong Suttavireesan: Big shop, fun, dancers, very good entertainment, lots of people late at night, around 11:00 p.m. and up. Drinks aren't expensive.Atmosphere: 4/5 …

The BacDoc: used to frequent that place. This was before they served Food to. It was open seven nights a week back then. I remember having this crush on a hot Asian 🔥 bartender with black hair to.I was such a regular even on Monday nights that one of the female bartenders

christopher thrailkill: who was so kind and welcoming!, Somewhere along the way my partner lost his wallet. We searched high and low and could not find it anywhere. After a while of searching, we finally gave up and went home and I texted the bartender and let her know that we had lost it. If they found it, please let me know and she promptly responded to me that they had. In fact found my partner's property and we were able to go and pick it up from her immediately. This level of customer service is astounding and very hard to come by. She knows who she is and I just want to make it known that you guys have a phenomenal employee!

K Fire: Editing this review for posterity. $20 for a drink at a dive bar in the mission is a bit much, which is why I only went once in 2021 and never again. This bar doesn't really have anything to offer besides its primo location on Capp which is an easy place to score a lady for the night. Even then, she wanted 300 and the ones near downtown only asked 200. There's nothing else going on though: no dancing, no live music, no craft cocktails per se, etc. From what I'm gathering, there was a chess club and free pool Mondays. I'm not hating on dive bars, but there was so many better choices in the mission. This city has the highest bar to households ratio at 6 to 10k, so you havta do something to stand out and I never really saw them promoted anywhere. Just a little quiet hole in the wall.

Tracy: One of my favorite dive bars in San Francisco! Lots of memories!

Anonymous Ghost: Uptown has a special place in my heart! Toward the tail end of a bar crawl, this bar is the place to ground yourself and have beautifully drunken conversations with good company. The service is top notch. You won’t feel overlooked or over exerted while you pause and regain your senses to request a drink. It is truly a shame that they will be closing come January 1st. Do yourself a favor and visit Uptown before then.

Selby Glynn: Very kind bartenders and a fun hang place to hangout. They have a pool table and a jukebox. Queer friendly and cash only!Wheelchair accessibility: All one level with flat access from sidewalk.

delaney ross: Dope little punky dive bar

Tim Clancy: Low key

Alaina Zulli: I love this place. It's a perfect specimen of chill queer dive. It's not a Gay Bar; it's a queer bar, and as a queer cis woman I feel totally comfortable, I'm not intruding on a space that isn't made for me.The beer selection has a nice mix of mostly indue ferries breweries with a few old standbyes for those who like their Guinness and Rolling Rock. The vibe is very much "chill dive". There's a pool table in an open adjoining room. The vinyl booth seating is heavily patched. The bartenders are friendly.I live in the Castro and have my pick of queer bars, but this is by far my favorite.

Tevya Tufford Fetter: Love Blackbird! It's such a lovely spot to meet for a libation with friends. Tonight I met some people who were passing through town, and I wanted to bring them to a quintessential San Francisco spot. The art is always different, and the vibe is always mellow. The bartenders are great, if a little busy, but they are always personable.Somehow I always find parking in front, to boot!

Sam Zoloth: Very good - Shirley temple is about 4/10 though due to lack of cherry

Daniel R: Great bar in the Castro, good prices and service. It is located between Castro and Market St. They have big windows to watch people.Sometimes they have tables outside. It usually gets busy in the afternoon with locals and tourists.I have been going there for years and love it.

Ted Gautsch: Walking into this place, I immediately thought to look around for the Golden Girls to see if they were in. This bar is definitely very warm with a mix of vibrant and eclectic decor, a heavily carpeted and comfortable locals' hangout. The only thing I see missing here is the wooden chairs with floral or patterned upholstery.Although It's not a large bar, its quaint, very full and requires a bit of maneuvering to get around. Although if you're lucky you may be able to score a table in the limited number of cheap seats in the 2nd floor loft. Its bar service here only, so plan your drinks accordingly. They do make a decent old fashioned! Cheers!!

Cris Ber: Who needs Grindr, Scruff, Growlr, etc when you have a bar where everyone is approachable? Jonathan, the bartender, is amazing. He’s cute too.I don’t think they serve food which is why I left that part above.

Earnest Ly: Great vibes & good cocktail selection focusing on some great modern classics.

Christopher Rivas: This is my go-to spot in the Castro for a well crafted cocktail, good conversations and fun. I always end up meeting with and talking to so many random people. And the fact that I can order a Paper Plane, Naked and Famous, Aviation, or a Last Word with the bartenders not blinking in confusion is priceless - CJ in particular is the BEST.Bonus points for the content on their TVs where you never know what random movie on DVD will be playing from Death Becomes Her to Rat Race to random horror flicks.

Am: This is probably my favorite bar in the Castro minus the trashy bathtub size urinal and the grumpy short bartender that never smiles.

luis alberto martin baez: Good customer service and availability

Alice Schwarzkopf, Berlin: met absolutely funny and nice people, good music, good drinks

Eric Carlson: Great low key bar. Had a pool table and a couple pinball machines. The aquarium at the bar was interesting too. Good place to relax with a drink

Nell Hirt: Warm, calm atmosphere. Very nice bar, and extremely nice waiter, passing through Paris we recommend 😉

C Maneedul: Friendly bartender. Great frozen Margherita!

Keith Hassett: This is got to be one of my favorite bars in the Castro. Great bartenders, a pool table and just a great place to hangout with friends. This is a drama free place, unlike some the other local places. And having Big Daddy on draft, made my day

Béatrice Bosco: A wonderful discovery. A superb atmosphere and a fantastic welcome. Everything you need to have a pleasant time with the bartender Patrick and his friendly regulars. Thank you 💞

Caleb Thompson: . We will always come back here when we return to the city. Just a good down to earth bar. Thanks Nate & Bryan! These guys are an assert to this place. The drinks were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend!
