Erica (EVLove11): , Good cocktails, and intriguing decorations all come together to create the perfect atmosphere for a casual hang or regular haunt. A couple TVs keep locals engaged on the big games but leave the back of the bar undisturbed for private conversations away from bright screens. A bartender that can make a good negroni is a rare find as well. Could be a lot cheaper, especially for the area, but the prices weren't offensive

Steve Delaney: The aptly named International Sports Bar is a hub of international and sports, with a bar. Cultured travelers from every corner of the globe can be found here commiserating and holding elevated discourse upon the most thought provoking topics of our time, all while hoisting among the finest brews known to makind. Be sure to take in the view from the large mirror suspended above the entryway to gaze in wonderment upon the esteemed gathered therein.
Brezina Law, PLLC: Ever heard the song: “Mr. Jones?” Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows wrote the famous song after seeing a Flemenco guitar show at this bar — called the “New Amsterdam” at the time. He was a nobody then. Duritz went with his friend, Marty Jones - i.e., Mr. Jones. It turns out the star of this show is/was Marty’s father. They incidentally saw a rock drummer at the bar and remarked to each other that they needed to become rock stars. Marty and Duritz played in a Number of bands together, but never Counting Crows. While I can’t recommend the city these days, I do recommend this place if you find yourself in San Fran.
Pedro I. Chiesa: Great experience!
Howard Hardardt: Best happy hour in SF 4pm-8pm, friendly locals, NFL Sunday package. What more could you want?

Bess K: . When we got there it was full but it didn’t matter. This turned out to be one of the most AMAZING experience we had in the city. The owner, James, was funny and with great hospitality and talent
Joshua Neuenschwander: I'm sure the locals who love this bar want to keep it a secret but I apologize, I can't say it enough... This is hands down one of THE best bars in SF. It has about ten seats and that is IT, only standing shoulder to shoulder room after that so prepare to get familiar with your fellow patrons. The owner of the pub and his staff are some of the most welcoming and fun people I've had the pleasure of meeting and I am remis that I didn't make it back again before I left the city. Thank you, Black Horse and friends for your hospitality! ❤️
Jakob Neumann: You have to experience it...JAMES best man!
Henric Heiner: Small bar but still never felt so welcome before.Huge respect to James and his team
Alex: This is a small hole-in-the wall of a pub with space only the length of the bar's counter. The menu consists of a small selection of reasonably priced cans/bottles of beers, cider, and hard seltzer. The bar was staffed by Zakry and the proprietor, James King. They facilitate one of the most welcoming and friendly bar atmospheres I have been in, taking an interest in each and every patron.
Dionysos Dionysos: but friendliest bar! Top Guys James and Kevin! You have to see it 😊
Shefali Sastry: Stopped by because I was freezing and waiting for the bus. The people were so friendly and welcoming! Such a nice neighborhood spot
Zyven S: Cool spot. But the 49ers...Food: 5/5 …

Chase Evans: Seems like a friendly atmosphere to try some various beers and food. Just don't come here if you don't intend to drink. I went to get a bite to eat with some buddies after a late night of drinking, so we weren't really feeling like drinking that night. Waitress made a comment about us being the first non-alcohol order all night which then led to the rest of that interaction being a bit weird. They have their own house soda which comes in 3 flavors. I respect some good house-made sodas but they weren't for me. After the interaction with the waitress, we just felt awkward for being there as we didn't see that waitress again that night. We were helped by the guy who delivered our food for the rest of the night. The food was good though, no complaints there.I'm sure if you are intending to drink, you'll fit right in. Maybe it was just an off night for them.
Nele Van den Broeck: The setting of this bar is great. We initially passed it by accident and it is not exactly in the nicest neighborhood, but once inside you don't notice anything from the outside of course. There is an incredible amount of choice on tap, so I recommend using the Untapped app, where they also regularly update their menu. This gives you an easier overview of their beer offering. The food was also great, I had the burger with fries and it was delicious. If you are a beer lover, you should definitely pop in here!
Kevin Chang: This is the bar with the most similar operation except the main branch in Copenhagen, and the staff is very friendly. You must try the signature geek shake coffee beer!!
Dawn Miller: Great atmosphere
Marcus Lee: Mikkeller was recommended by my Danish friends, it is a Danish brand, hence the Danish cartoon and industrial decorations. Always good beers, I love sour beers, so this is my happy place. Burgers and fries are always good with beer drinking. Prices are fair. The location is so central, that makes Mikkeller a good place for after work drink, quick bite when visiting from out of town, or friends get-together, as they have some large tables to commentate. I go to Mikkeller whenever I feel like it, and I feel like it a lot.
Brandon Ozard: Lot's of tasty beer 😀Service was good.Food was okay.

Snigdha Agarwal: Pretty nice Thursday night karaoke experience. Though I wish there was a cocktail menu. The bartender did manage to throw something together but it wasn't really enjoyable.
Fatima Gutierrez: Great dancing place lots of fun!
Rafael Figueroa: Jamie n Margarita are the best and let's not forget the gentleman doorman.
Gerlie Mendoza: Pool table is absolutely almost perfect. Love playing there on Thursday nights, when DJ purple is having his karaoke dance party.

What’s the Difference: and in the extremely rare case of silly drama, malarkey, and cartoonish antics outside or inside the bar they are easily and kindly defused by the door man especially the professional

Bailey Cory: Truly my favorite bar! The kindest bar tenders I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know! A wonderful backyard space and front parklet! This place is always a go to for my friends and I.It would be such a shame to see Blackthorn go. I hope the community can come together to save this sunset staple!
David Karbo: The best spot in the sunset, love this place. Nice bartenders and very positive space. They're in danger of being wrongfully evicted after being encouraged by the landlord to pour a bunch of their own money into renovations under false pretenses of a renewed lease, so support them if you can.
