Pica Pica Arepa Kitchen: what do users think?

Derek Devine: Solid, no complaints. Loved the flavors. I’d recommend the spicy chicken or shredded beef. The grilled chicken was a bit dry.Food: 4/5Recommended dishes Shredded Beef Pabellón, Crispy Chicken …

Natalia: Gluten free restaurant, safe for celiacs. Very tasty arepas! Good service. I recommend!Dietary restrictions: gluten free restaurant, safe for celiacs

Samuel Mariña: The BEST Venezuelan food in the Bay Area. This is the closest you can get to authentic food, I would call it American-Venezuelan, due to its addition of spicy sauce, but maintaining the original flavor. Tried both yellow and white arepas, cachapa with cheese and the tres empanadas, they all were great, and I am Venezuelan, so trust me on this one

Giselle Pietersz: , Arepa de Pernil

Rosita Lesmana: Ordered the arepa and cachapa- loooove them! I personally like cachapa better because of thinner crust and that allows me to balance the corn and meat flavor. But the arepa still tastes amazing!Too bad there was no interesting drinks available, though. The restaurant was small and quiet, it's pretty tidy with small water dispenser available. The service is pretty decent, you'll need to come to the register and pay.

Olivia Ch: As a visitor to SF: I ordered the white traditional arepa with pulled pork pernil filling to go, and oh my, when I got home and started eating, it was still amazing despite sitting in a plastic take-out box for 25 min. The flavours are just great. The photo doesn't do it's justice. For San Francisco, the price seems okay.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Cassidy Parker: and this is a great place for someone with gluten intolerance as arepas are corn-based. A few of the times I’ve have eaten here, the meat was pretty dry. Recently it has improved and I haven’t run into this issue.

dreamynation: I came by this place due to the high amount of great reviews. The bakery I got in the photo attached did not disappoint. I was thinking about it all day after I had it. One of the best bakery no wonder why this place is so popular. I don't have much to say about their other items since I didn't try it, but I'd retuen to just try this one again!

MaMo: what do users think?

Isabelle Boisleve: First restaurant for us in San Francisco. Excellent welcome. Our English wasn't great so the owner took the time to show us on his phone. Everything was very good. And the music is very nice.I recommend !

Nathan Pierce: to share, and it was already over.I’ll go back, though—that’s for sure!Selection of beer and wine.Clean bathroom.Really friendly service.Free parking on the street up to 2 hours.Dine in or take out.If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!Vegetarian options: vegan options. salad.Dietary restrictions: vegan optionsParking: free street parking up to 2 hours.Wheelchair accessibility: no step. wheelchair table.

Gnome Chomsky: What a spectacular hidden gem. You normally have to be in the mission to get Latin food done this well. Everything on the menu was fantastic. You can tell the owner / operator absolutely cares about what comes out of the kitchen. Prices reasonable and value for what you get is 11/10. Can’t believe I’ve walked by as many times as I have and never tried it. Ty for having me and cheers!

Theo Armour: Great attention from the staff. Interesting and very tasty Colombian and Venezuelan dishes. Some nice wines.Update 02-13-2024This is an update to one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I've been coming here since 2020.Michael the proprietor has recently updated the menu. My favorite first course is the Patacones - fried green plantains with Mamo's sauce - and the Tequeños - a Venezuelan dish with fried breaded cheese. Then it gets difficult. For a main course, I could do the Arroz con Pollo, the Steak Chimichurri or the Arepas. And for your friends who are not so adventurous the MaMo's Burger still has an excellent South American flavor. On the drinks side, I usually go for a draft beer, or a rosé or malbec. For a closer I'll take a shot of their tequila soju. But tonight, I am trying something new: fresh passion fruit with a shout of rum soju. For dessert, I quite like one of the appetizers: Maduros - fried sweet plantains.Of course, I am writing this update here at MaMo. I may not be in Colombia, but I like what it feels like being here.

Arizmendi Bakery: what do users think?

Jewel Swanson: Fantastic neighborhood bakery, with the best brownies and bialy and some of the best pastries, cookies, and pizza around. Worker co-op, so all the money you spend goes right back into the business and to the people who work hard to make the amazing products on offer. Of all the locations, this has some of the best pizza, too. Support this fantastic local institution.

Sam Khandelwal: Arizmendi, part of the cheese board collective, is a solid worker-owned bakery that is known for their daily veggie pizza, focaccia, baked goods and to a lesser extent their caffeinated drinks. The cheese board collective is known for sourcing high quality cheese, flour and other ingredients, and innovative recipes for pizza and focaccia. This location has great focaccia, and often decent pizza that you can buy by the slice. However, parking can be a nightmare. What I like about the pizza is the crust. It's slow fermented and that ensures that you do not feel gross after eating conventional pizza.Tip: Check out their daily salad to complement your pizza slice. They also have a daily bread of the day that isn't as good as some of the other specialty bakeries or farmers market, but is a solid choice.

Josey Baker Bread: what do users think?

Matty B: Truly some of the best bread I’ve ever had in the world. This is my go-to bread place in the city. It’s located inside of The Mill, and you can either get loaves to go or a variety of prepared slices of toast.I typically get a loaf of Wonder Bread to go, but all of the toast that I’ve had here is likewise excellent, especially the avocado toast.

Paolo Ramos: The Lrg country loaf is amazing. It has a nice golden/slightly mahogany crust and a super moist but airy interior, it truly is beautiful and delicious.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Wheat Sourdough …

Jean Lee: Their sourdough is amazing. It has crusty exterior and a very moist interior. However, I do wish they offered a slicing service. There might be reasons for not providing this, but having evenly sliced bread would really enhance the experience. When I try to slice it at home, it's never quite even. Please consider!

Ken Rockot: The bread is incredible.

Holly Harris: We go here for bread all of the time. All though it may seem pricey, the bread is heavy and very good.

Melissa Caicedo: The mocha with non-dairy milk was perfect and so was the sourdough bread with almond butter and the ham and cheese croissant. Absolutely delicious. Haven’t found any bakery as good as this in NYC. Must visit if you are in SF!

Andy Salmon: Went to a Pizza making class here. They did a great job, and it was a lot of fun. We were able to enjoy a few expenses and some appetizers before the class . Both were very good. They also make their own fluor in-house... so cool. Great place for fresh breads and a cup of coffee.

Suzanne Salmon: Pizza class—learned pizza making intracacies—dough, toppings according to your taste, baking-YUM! Great class!

Joy Zhang: Bakers are lovely and I got started to take back to the east coast

Natalie Gowler: I moved to San Francisco after living in Paris for six years and we all know how seriously the French take their bread. It is therefore with absolute certainty that I can tell you: Josie’s bread is the best bread. We are loyal wheat, seed, or sourdough fans for a year and a half now. Thank you to the Josie team and The Mill for bringing real bread to the “Paris of the Pacific”.

Breadbelly: what do users think?

Jewel Swanson: to their delicious breakfast sandwiches to every last thing they make is crafted to the highest degree of excellence. Every bit of the price here is justified by the highest quality and dedication from the staff. A wonderful testament to the quality of food in the Richmond District and on Clement, but also to the culinary talent present in San Francisco as a whole.

Luanne Andreotti: Belly is pretty lean with not much fat in terms of extras to entice. But what they serve, they do well. It has a young start up vibe with good precious offerings, a limited interesting menu for a bakery that also does lunch. It’s pretty much outdoor seating only sans the shade and expect a line. We are told by the counter staff it takes eight minutes to heat the savory mushroom pie or corn pastry with an egg inside. Everything was tasty.Personally I prefer muffins containing an egg to be soft boiled rather than hard, such as the morning muffin at Post Script on Jackson street which can’t compare to anything else. It was a fun place to try and I brought a couple of cookies home to try. The matcha latte was excellent, sweetened with brown sugar. I like that they use good ingredients on their spare cuisine. I do think they might expand the menu a tad.

David Miller Shevelev: I had to contact Bread Belly to get an itemized receipt for processing a reimbursement for one of my colleagues who had a work meeting there and forgot to get the receipt. The staff at Bread Belly were extremely responsive when I wrote to them to request a copy of the itemized receipt.Service: 5/5 …

Erika Galavis: When I crave pan I Come to La Reyna. The quality of pan and the prices are very good. I love that they make conchas of diffrent colores.

Corrie Galvan: Good pan & kind customer service. We'll be back next time we're in the neighborhood.

Farshad P: Pretty good old school panaderia in the mission with freshly baked, not too sweet conchas and cuernitos with other classics. The prices are extremely fair, and everything seemed to be very authentic. They didn’t have any coffee when I went. However the experience overall was great and the guy working there was super friendly! Would definitely go back.

Beard Papa's: what do users think?

Olga V. Mack: Love these puffs. They are amazing. Crème brûlée is my new favorite.

Corey Strock: I love Beard Papa's, the cream puffs are always a special treat whenever we go to the city. This one is kinda tucked in the mall, but it's not too bad to get to.

Luis Alfonso Carbó Aponte: Excellent

Meagan Siu: For me, Beard Papa’s is about the filling - the puff itself is nothing special. I got a plain shell with vanilla cream and matcha shell with matcha filling. Each puff was completely filled to the brim with delicious cream. The vanilla cream was tasty but ultimately the matcha was my favorite, with very strong matcha flavors coming through throughout. Matcha shell complemented it nicely too, though the matcha there tasted slightly more artificial - you can never have too much matcha!

リアRia: I think little bit pricey here. But taste is same :

Lee Evermore: Much WoW

Joan Falleiro: Puff puff heaven! So good!

Twilver Earle: Very good pastries

Natalie Ng: - minus 1 star as there have only a little on filling. in 6 pcs have only 1 pcs that that little more than half filling

Amaar Zafar: Absolutely delicious snacks and pretty filling as well.

Mitchell Hanson: . For the one on the left, the outside was caramelized with granulated sugar and bread itself was extremely soft and layered. The cream custard inside was sweet, moist, and solid enough not to drip everywhere. The other flakey breaded dessert with powdered sugar had the same custard which was lovely. Again, not tax, all cash.I would invite anyone who is visiting the area looking for great bakes or someone looking to get someone else a baked gift to try this place!

Jorge Perez: Great Pan dulce!

Isrrael Martínez: Delicious bread

Naea Naea: It's very tasty Mexican bread, BUT it's pricy. They offer cinnamon coffee, which will remind you of cafe de olla....

Erika Galavis: My son and I stopped by to get some Conchas and polvorones. Los panes were freshly made and they were good. The prices are not on display, I was surprised to pay $2 for each pan. I can get the same quality of pan few bakeries down the street for cheaper.

oz: one of the best donuts of my life!!

Carlos: Been going here for a long time, definitely recommend. Wide variety of breads and some coffee options

Baba: Cheap Eats in the Mish. When I got $10 on me in cash, this spot is one of my go to.Pan con todo. Trust me, it's thy one. I believe it goes for $6.50 at the moment, so that's truly blessed. Filling too. It's a cash only spot. Plenty of seating inside, and open really early!I use to order the pan con todo with chorizo. Comes with queso fresco, refried beans, sour cream, scrambled eggs, and fresh chorizo. Pause. This spot is gas. It's almost like mama is making breakfast for you. Haven't tried their pastries or cafecito, but if they make their pan at the shop that they use for the pan con todo, keep doing what you do. Love this spot a lot, feels like you're at home when you're eating here.Recently tried their pan con todo con pollo adobado. I think it's recently added with other panes on the menu as well. Now this hit different. They packed it too, and they used real fresh ingredients. I prefer their panes compared to Universal Bakery down on 30th and Mission, and I've been to Universal several times. Keep doing what you guys do. The people that work here are lovely, and you can tell their family oriented. They won't disappoint you with their dishes.

Julio Ochoa: Very good place, nice servíce

Mayely Arteaga: Very good, delicious sweet bread ☕🥖

Alejandra Marcella Najarro: I love the food and pastries here!! The customer service is amazing. High recommend

Anna Hollingsworth: . We’ve loved almost all the pies we’ve tried

American Angler: Just out flippin and floppin with my pals Spider and the Scissorman lookin for things like this and that, when we run into Hobo Joe and his little stab, Taco Mary, and she's pounding away on this chicken pot pie like she's starving. It looked soooooo good and smelled just like Grandma's kitchen that I had to have one! Where'd you get the pie, I asked...Pleasant Pies she said...it's right around the corner, they're Amazing...she said.I was straight there, and without the knucklenuts I was with... I didn't want them slowing down my quest for the perfect pot pie. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Dennis Jeong: Buy a box of savories every few weeks, usually park in front 5-10 minutes before they open and wait.Today, the gentleman came out “I noticed you outside and thought you didn’t need to wait until the opening”Thanks! Above and beyond! Brought a smile to my face!

Rabendy Inc: Came here to try their ensaymada. It was on the dry side for me. Surprisingly, the cheese rolls are a winner!!!Auntie Em is very professional and friendly.Don't mind driving all the way out to Daly City to sample her delicious pastries.

Cindy C: Auntie Em's is a great gem in the wall for pastry and cakes. I ordered chicken & beef empanadas, cheese rolls, cupcakes, and ube ensayamada. My in laws love the assorted cupcakes and empanadas. The cheese rolls are very crunchy as well. I pre-ordered the Halo Halo cake and it was delicious but a little bit too much coconut. I'd come back again and order more delicious pastries

francisco Franco: It is a completely pleasant place with the best Filipino pastries in the bay area.

Daniel: I just found out about this place when I picked up my order at Karilagan. Just tried their Bibingka with salted egg and Ube Bibingka and they're really good!

A J: It's good... but it seems pricey.

Ms Love: Well it turns out that Aunt Em is indeed friendly.Bring cash. It's 4 stars because over all we only enjoyed 2 out of 12 items. We but keep reading to see our favorites and must try.We went on a Sunday afternoon and everything was in stock, fresh and available. We bought one of EVERYTHING because we hadn't had any of these pastries before. Most of them are a repeat of the same ingredients used in a different way. Butter, Sugar, Coconut in most of it. Everything was sweet, not overly sweet but even the savory items we slightly sweetened. The four of us tried everything right away. Here is what would consider we ordering again:Cheese Rolls⭐️ $2 eaCheesy bread roll sweet, super flaky like baked fila dough coated with a sugar butter glaze. We could have order a couple of dozen.Ube Ensaymada $4Brioche bread buttery rich filled with ube extract and topped with cheese. The other flavored Ensaymadas were dolce de leche and cheese in the center, sweet, salted granulated cheese on top. In our opinion those flavors we not the business. The texture is good but not the flavor combo. And maybe these:Chicken Empanadas $4Beef Empanadas $4These have peas, carrots and potatoes with meat. These were decent. We tried these a million different ways so our palette for these is advanced.Buko pie $5Young coconut custard pieYou gotta love coconut to like this because it is literally a pot pie with tons sugary shedded coconut and chunks of coconut meat on the inside. Not really custardy at all. This was good but we won't get it again. The Chicharrones $8, deep fried pig skin, feet, ears. Who really ever knows, but 2 of us liked those. The other 2 of us couldn't get past the smell. Stinkier than any pork rind/ anything that I have ever smelled. We really don't have any experience with Filipino pastries so we couldn't really compare it to much. I have a feeling someone with a little more experience would really enjoy a lot of these. From what I have researched these are authentic style pastries. And would likely satisfy the tastebuds of someone looking for familiar flavors from their childhood and or travels.

Luis Martinez: Good ube cupcakes

Hans Goertz: Yummy authentic Filipino pastries

Derek: Really good Babingka and one of the best Buko pie I tasted!

Sf Bluejade: Wow, filipino bakery and the guava cheese was excellent. Chicken empanada had potatoes. Ube everything.

Amy AwakeandAlive: Love this place. Yummy desserts and fast & friendly service always-- just like MY Auntie Em. 3
