Camisha's Cakes: what do users think?

Sarah Senti: Camisha did our wedding cake and everyone said that it was the best cake they have ever had! Her cakes are beautiful and SO delicious and her icing is the best icing I have ever tasted. Camisha is so easy to work with - communicative and friendly and prompt and reliable and personable. We will be using her for any cakes we need in the future!

jose hoil: Everything is very rich

abel fuaau: I've order 3 birthday cakes from Camisha, and every single one has been an absolute show stopper! And they taste just as good as they look! A+++

Malabika Mishra: The frosting on the cupcakes is amazing

richu channakeshava: Made my day! Thank you Camisha

pagie poole: Five stars is not enough! Last year for my birthday a friend surprised me with a true chocolate and peanut butter buttercream cake from Camisha's Cakes. That cake knocked my socks off! So for my birthday this year, I knew exactly where my cake needed to come from and let me tell you, there was no compromise. I wanted another cake from Camisha. The quality of ingredients, the flavor, the care, and the customer service are all outstanding. The cake was really moist and the true chocolate flavor is to die for. The peanut butter buttercream is perfect without being overly sweet. I'll be requesting another Camisha's Cakes for next year. Do your tastebuds a favor and order a cake from this really talented local SF baker. Those cakes from chain bakeries don't even come close to Camisha's superb quality.

Lisa: Camisha never ceases to amaze me! I’ve tried a variety of flavors of cakes/cupcakes - red velvet, strawberry, coffee, pineapple upside down cake, lemon, and my favorite is chocolate with caramel. Other decorative cakes and cupcakes can sometimes be a hit or miss since they may look better than they actually taste. With Camisha, you’re absolutely going to get something not only beautiful but incredibly tasty as well. I’ve had multiple friends tell me they are not usually fans of a particular flavor of cake, but LOVED what Camisha made.

Joey Martin: Camisha did an amazing job on custom cupcakes that were a huge hit for looks and taste! I can’t wait until I have a reason to place an order with Camisha again!

Kathleen Sheffer: Without much direction Camisha surprised me with a beautiful and unique birthday cake that somehow tasted better than it looked! My whole family has been raving about it for the last week. My mom who doesn't usually like frosting or buttercream couldn't get enough of it! Camisha makes the best German chocolate cake and cupcakes I've ever had. Looking forward to ordering more for future occasions!

Robin Lloyd: was aces. We'll order again from Camisha in a heartbeat and are can't wait to try one of her full-sized creations. Highly recommend!

Anne Marie Elliott: I'm a bit late in doing this, but I have to chime in about Camisha and her cakes, more specifically her cupcakes... that she made specifically for my daughter's 18th birthday celebration. They tasted extraordinary and looked that way too!

Fion Hu: My team and I were so pleased with Camisha's cake! I was very specific with what I wanted and she brought our vision to life. She is quick to respond, goes above and beyond to satisfy and ensures to bring a positive experience. I am very happy with my order and look forward to making another order with Camisha's Cakes!

Felicia Rose: I've ordered a few birthday cakes from Camisha, and they are always beautiful and delicious! Her lemon cake is my favorite, it never disappoints.

Eric Enciso: Camisha makes the best cakes using only premium ingredients. Her baking expresses her impressive attention to detail, while maintaining the highest taste and quality. I have tried many of her delicacies and nothing has been less than extraordinary. I was especially impressed with a delicious wedding cake she made for one of my best friend’s wedding. Thanks for always providing excellent service, tasty desserts, and strong professionalism, Camisha!

LauraLee Misi: Stunningly beautiful cakes made from real ingredients! Camisha's Cakes are creative works of art, while they are moist and delicious! My husband's favorite was the chocolate caramel. I like the cake pops, but my all-time favorite is Camisha's Carrot cake with pecans! It was hard to find a good carrot cake until I had hers. It truely made the day an extra special occasion! Thank you Camisha for all the special touches you do with the recipes and designs. I loved the golf scene for Father's Day. My friends thought it was lovely to have edible flowers decorating my cake.

Salima Jacobson: Camisha is the best!! She has made over a dozen pastries and cakes for all my events. From birthdays to holiday office events and the list goes on. I love that I can show Camisha a few pictures of cakes that I like and she puts it all together with her own creativity! I can't wait to have Camisha make many more cakes!

genevieve nizic: Camisha made the cake for my mothers 60th birthday. It was absolutely stunning, white & gold & covered with fresh flowers. We have a lot of food allergies and Camisha was able to accommodate them all while still make the cake taste delicious. Communication was awesome, she was fast to respond and easy to work with. I highly recommend her!!!

Brett Marinoff: Food: 4/5

Robert Rowntree: Down to succulent, sliced apple, prosciutto and stratella on signature baguette is Alice waters level yummy sandwich.

Patrick: Got their seed loaf at the Pleasanton farmers market and it's absolutely top notch

Fernando Lucas: Good breakfast pastries and raisin bread. Their seeded sourdough was mild and flavorful. Wasn't pleased with their white sandwich loaf; a bit bland and too oily for my taste. They're at the Stonestown Farmers Market every Sunday from 9am-1pm; worth a visit- excellent service by the way.

Bradley White: I get their bread at the San Mateo Farmers Market. So freaking good.

Vittorio Lacson: At Stonestown Farmersarket on Sundays. Sourdough country loaves have a nice crunchy crust but are moist and chewy on the inside. Heavenly.

Will Bateman: Idk who that new blond hair gentleman is but he's the best worker I've seen ran my food out to me great service from this man he needs a raise.

Leejay Schmidt: My favorite bakery so far! Everything is divine. From the vanilla bean custard-stuffed Kouign Amann to the croissants, stuffed French toast, and coffee or mocha made with their house-made syrups, everything on the menu has been impressive. Pair that with the cute atmosphere and stellar customer service and you’re in for an absolute treat. Definitely recommend!

Akil Iyer: and I love their mochas as well! I especially recommend The Wheel and any of their danishes

Dee: They had me at Guava Danish. A sublime pastry and everything else looks just as divine. The espresso drinks are delicious, the barista pulled an excellent shot and the foam was perfect. The staff was just as lovely. I can’t wait to come back and grab several more pastries.

Nigel Pun: The customer service is outstanding and all of the staff are very friendly. We had the brunch sandwiches specifically the portobello and the brisket sandwiches which were delicious. The ambience is nice and they also sell an assortment of cute merchandise. We also ordered cookies and pastries to go which they are famous for. Definitely visit this cute place!

MK: Do not believe a single reviewer who bad mouths this bakery. This bakery has hard working staff that are extremely patient and always radiate positive energy to every customer. Im a newer customer and I always get treated wonderfully when I go in. I was welcomed in even when they had been closed for nearly 30 mins. The donuts are pillowy and delicious. The savory pastries are chock full of scrumptious bites. If you are looking for gluten free then this is not for you and you should not go in and then write a bad review about how they don’t provide gluten free options but if you are looking for delicious GLUTENOUS treats then go in to support this awesome bakery!

Sylvia Rabemanantsoa: which was insanely good! We also had apple turnover and beef curry pastry which were delicious. Highly recommend, and the service was really nice too!

Michael Meeth: Excellent Vietnamese iced coffee, the pies, banh mi and savory pastries are to die for. Lovely staff and owners! I don’t even live in this neighbor I travel all the way from Potrero Hill to have their delicious pastries.

George Kao: ... a fruit tart ... a maple old fashioned donut. All were fresh and delicious! Nice staff too.

Fissell Zachary: This is the spot!! Super delicious pastry, doughnuts and the Banh Mi, out of this world. Coming back here!!

James Pham: IYKYK hot dough

a ricci: Nicest people. Ask for Char siu bao or bbq pork bun if you don't see it.

Matthew Puls: Best service best everything!!!

Andrew Wong: California Bakery offers a nice selection of sweet and savory pastries! I have tried almost all of their savory pastries and puffs, and my favorites are definitely the pate chaud and the curry beef! The owners are sweet and friendly. I'm glad they're around and I'll be stopping by more often to pick up their offerings, which are all made fresh daily.

Grace K: pies are my go to items. Flaky crust with delicious savory filling.

Shivani Kaw: Got a birthday cake from here and so glad that I did. What I love about the cake is that it’s not too sweet and you can feel the butter.

Meli Lopez: Ordering was super streamlined and communication was great! I loved seeing the preview of our finished cake with the reminder text to pickup the next day. The cake survived a scenic route back to our hotel down Lambord street, too! The flavor was perfectly balanced - we got brown butter and meyer lemon. We followed all instructions and the cake was as perfect as the picture! We had to transport it a 2nd time from the hotel to our restaurant and it sat on our table as we enjoyed a birthday dinner. It was so picturesque we had several people, including our waiter, inquire about the bakery. Thank you so much for helping me make my best friend's destination birthday such a success. 💕

Brooke Ito: to trust in Butter& and we could not be happier that we did. Purchasing online was a breeze - everything was seamless and everything you should know was on the website. After ordering, we made a few changes to the flowers on the cake and deliver instructions and the staff at Butter& was SUPER fast at responding and so professional. They delivered the cake on time and it was GORGEOUS - perfectly matched florals and super cute design! Then we tried the cake itself. When I say that our vanilla cake was THE BEST CAKE I’VE EVER HAD, it’s an understatement. The Tonga vanilla bean cake with ridges and fresh flowers was the way to go. Best decision we made in terms of food/dessert - just wish we ordered more or at least got the sheet cakes

Lilian Mar: / Sweet Cream + Roasted Berries cake with "hbd" in gold on top.I'm impressed with their incredible communication. The team contacted me prior to delivery to ask for my friend's number to ensure the cake would be delivered seamlessly and provide tracking. And according to my friend, in his words, the birthday cake was "very yummy" and "not too sweet", which means it's Asian approved!I'm very pleased and will be ordering again in the future to have a taste.

audrey p: There are other places known for their delicious cakes too but this one stands out to me bc they make it easy to order / buy / reserve and even get them delivered on time. Oh and of course the beautiful look makes it worth the price.

Tammy Vinson: Perfect cakes that will wow any celebration. I’ve ordered several over the years for various events and each one has had nothing but beautiful craftsmanship with superb attention to detail while also being delicious in taste. Added bonus: Easy to order and pick up as well.

Paola Halley: Truly delicious cakes. Highly recommend the lemon one. I ordered two Small sized cakes for 20 people and they were a raging success.

Courtney Lawhon: Butter& is one of our absolute favorite spots to recommend to our clients! From their clear & easy ordering process .. to the beautiful packaging to the phenomenal flavors - we are forever obsessed! Thank you team!!

Sophia Haim: We highly recommend getting your wedding cake at Butter&! We started off ordering a tasting box from them, and really enjoyed getting to try all their flavors at home. All the options were delicious – really great flavor but not overly sweet, and a good balance of cake to frosting/cream. We decided on the Brown Butter + Meyer Lemon because we loved the lemon curd. They had a lot of very cool designs, and we chose a two-tier blue marble with fresh flowers. It looked great on the website, but was even more beautiful in person, and very unique. Once we had our final guest count, Kevin at Butter& helped us figure out how many additional exposé cakes we would need to have enough for all our guests, and added them to our order.Butter& delivered the cake to our day-of planner directly to the venue, and were exactly on time. They were wonderful to work with, and the cake looked amazing and tasted delicious!

Vanessa Richard: Recommend calling in advance for pre-order pickup hours! Google suggests they are open until 5:30 p.m. on Fridays but when I called, they said 5 p.m. Good thing I did or else we would have had no birthday cake for a friend! Joram Morales: Divine. Every time I’m in the city, I have to stop at Ariscault. These are the best croissants I’ve had outside of Paris. Go early because they do sell out of different pastries quickly. By the end of the day there will usually only be butter or chocolate croissants available.Recommended dishes Almond Chocolate Croissant, Ham&Cheese Cuissant, Plain Croissant …

AKIYAMA Shimon: They had a reputation for having the best croissants in America, and they were truly insanely delicious. Not only does it have an incredibly rich buttery flavor, but it's crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, even when it's cold.We recommend the plain croissant and almond croissant, but honestly, with this quality, whatever you order will be outstandingly delicious. The kouign amann and morning bun were addictively sweet and I could eat them all in one go.

Shana Abell: This hole in the wall is so good! There are so few shops in San Francisco that sell fresh and tasty pastries, most are hard lumps. I haven’t enjoyed pastries this delicious outside of Europe. Super happy to find this spot. It’s difficult to tell if they’re open early in the morning as the signage is small, so give a good look around so you don’t miss it.

JJ Drinkwater: Their black forest cake made my mouth want to move to Germany.

Ken Wong: January 2023:This location is a to go only. There's no seating, etc...Grabbed two donuts. A mixed berry filling and a vanilla cream filling. Both were really tasty. The mixed berry was a little light on the filling. The vanilla cream was excellent 👌👍. I'd get that again.

G K: It looks a little sketchy, but the products. are really great. None of it is too far from the norm, but definitely worth stopping by and eating a Berliner. Loved it.

Claire Wang: Delicious apple turnover!

Jacqueline Tona: Poison will contaminate the gut! Tasty German pasties!

Gabriel Hutschneker: Awesome Brezel & Franzbrötchen! On the expensive side however.

Yasser Ahmed: Yummy donuts, super fluffy

Jacob Voyles: The perfect breakfast.

Stella Pastry & Café: what do users think?

Rita Braun: I grew up within spitting distance of Jewish and Italian bakeries. So as an experienced lover of Stella-style treats, if you haven’t been to Stella’s Pastry, I say this: Do go as soon as you can.Her baked treats will delight you. And her americano ranks in the top 2% of all sipped, considered, and scored. If you love americanos, you know what I’m talking about.

Ilaria Prescott: A bakery that knows how to surprise you deserves 5 stars. There are many amazing bakeries in this city, and I enjoy a lot of them. But for me, Stella Bakery is a place where I feel at home with real Italian flavor in every pastry.Their cannoli and tiramisu taste truly authentic, and I also love their Fedora cake slice. The staff is always smiling and friendly. The cafe space is small, but if you can snag an outdoor seat when the weather is nice, it's one of the most relaxing experiences. I also love their cappuccinos.Stella stands out for capturing the genuine Italian essence in their baked goods and providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's a stellar bakery that lives up to its name.

Krishin Asnani: Friendliest service from Marianna, the soul of this place. It’s a big deal to choose the right establishment to become a regular and predictable to the right type of staff; This place knows I like my double cappuccino frothy in their smaller, curvy, stylish cup; their oven fresh almond crusted biscotti and apple turnover is to die for; Great eye candy of colorful cookies behind glass reminds me of paintings by Wayne Thibeaux.

Barmak Heshmat: This is really the best Italian bakery i have seen in bay area. So just to remind myself for the next time. I recommend the ones with green tick mark and don't recommend the ones with red cross. The cookie with double jelly is the best and half chocoletted hazelnut biscuits.

Hawra Mohammed: Good.but why is the tiramisu frozen

Robert Borsdorf: Undeniably the best bakery in SF and any reviews that say otherwise are anomalies or in bad faithWheelchair accessibility: Ground level

Noopur Gupta: Cute small spot, always has a queue, has an outside seating. Tried their Potato Vareniki and Mushroom Blinchiki , tasted amazing! Will def go again to try other things they have.Food: 5/5 …

Salamander: Initially we went to have lunch at a Korean kitchen, but when we passed by, we saw a crowd at the entrance to the establishment. This intrigued us and we decided to look into Google to see the rating of the establishment. The rating of the establishment also did not leave anyone indifferent - 4.7 is, say, a rarity for a cafe. The establishment itself is not big. You can only get a seat on the street. Since the queue is long, all the tables are also occupied. But we were lucky - the table we had scheduled quickly became available.Let me first describe the advantages: 1. The price category is average, 2. The menu can be viewed online, 3. The choice of dishes is decent, 4. The service is fast - you didn’t have to wait long for your order, 5. The establishment has a toilet and it is quite clean, 6. From the food I liked the dumplings and bread.Cons: 1. I didn’t like all the food - we ordered: borscht - nothing special, we expected it to be at least approximately like home, but unfortunately not. Pancakes with cottage cheese - I didn’t like this dish at all. The cottage cheese resembled some kind of raw, tasteless dough. The only thing that saved the situation was the jam that came with the pancakes. If it weren't for him, everything would seem insipid and strange. Grandma's chicken soup - a lot of noodles... it seemed like they ordered spaghetti, which was poured with broth on top, 2. Drinks - they took compote and beer. In general, I don’t recommend dark beer - it’s bitter and smells like alcohol - not for everyone. The compote is tolerable and moderately sweet. Conclusion: the food is average, no frills. If you want to save money and have a quick snack, or you are too tormented by nostalgia, this is the place for you.

paul m garcia: Not having a lot of time to make and deliver a cake was not a problem. James went over the options for a novelty cake that had to be delivered in a little over 24 hours. Amazing process, excellent communication and outstanding customer service. I highly recommend them.

Morgan Salzer: I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the most incredible birthday cake, and I must say, it deserves a solid 5-star review! From the moment I laid eyes on it, I knew I was in for a treat. The presentation was immaculate, adorned with delicate frosting and a Harry Potter dream that instantly brought a smile to the birthday girls face. But the real magic happened when I took my first bite. The cake was moist, fluffy, and full of rich flavor. Each layer was generously filled with luscious cream and chocolate that complemented the cake perfectly. It was evident that the baker put their heart and soul into creating this masterpiece. The attention to detail and creativity in design were exceptional. Not only was it a delightful culinary experience, but it also made for a stunning centerpiece at the birthday celebration. It left everyone in awe and eager for seconds. The cake truly made the birthday celebration unforgettable. The way it combined taste, texture, and aesthetics was nothing short of remarkable. I can confidently say it was the best birthday cake I have ever had, and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone looking for a truly special treat. Bravo to the talented baker and staff behind this amazing creation! Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Derek Ponce: Great experience purchasing a custom heart-shaped cake for my special partner. She loved the cake and it added that extra touch to her birthday

Jamie Szabo: James was a pleasure to work with and the cake turned out amazing! Will definitely use again!! 😊

Garima Sapkota: I had a great experience. James was very helpful with the cake details and delivery as well. I definitely recommend their service to anyone who is looking for customized cakes. I look forward to order cakes in future from them. Kudos to the team and their service.

Gabrielle Jones: Erotic Bakery did a wonderful job on my friend’s 40th birthday cake!! It look just like the photo and it was delicious!

Kenneth Day: Awesome job! Would order again. Cake was a little pricey but well worth it. And they were able to make and deliver a custom phalic cake 30 miles away within 6 hours of me ordering. I don’t know of even regular cake places that could do that. Cake was delicious. The design on top was realistic and the message written on it was hilarious. My only negative was that the piece on top was made out of frosting and therefore was a little to rich to eat but that’s on me not them. It wouldn’t have changed my purchase had I known it I just maybe would’ve opted to pay a little more to see if they had like a brownie filled option. But like I said I didn’t even ask about that so the cake was true to the order. The delivery was organized by them using an Uber and went very easy. I won’t post a picture because Im not sure what I can and can’t post but take my word it was a very professionally made cake. Great job guys. Thanks

Laura Young: I ordered my first cake from Erotic Bakery this week for a 40th birthday party. Not only was James really great to work with, he also helped deliver the cake on time. The cake was delicious and I will definitely order another cake in the future.

Suraj R: Great service and James was attentive to every detail!

Paulette Francis: James did a phenomenal job on my brother’s bachelor party cake. The party was during Labor Day weekend and I ordered the cake, one day before the event. I don’t suggest waiting till last minute to order, but James came through. James was able to complete my order and listen to all my suggestions despite the busy Holiday weekend. He was sweet and checked in regularly to ensure that my delivery was executed perfectly. The cake I ordered was a female body with vanilla for the cake and buttercream frosting. The cake was delicious, moist, sweet and creamy. My brother and his friends kept grinning at the detail of the cake. Everyone at the club was amazed by the cake. If you are looking to create an edible experience look no further because James is the man.

shomal prasad: Amazing experience with James! He went above and beyond with my dads golf cake. It was amazing!!! My dad was happy to see all of the golfing decorations! Thank you so much for the cake James!! Everyone enjoyed how light and fluffy it was! Can't wait to order more cakes from you!

The cost of their croissant with ham compared to those mass produced around the corner at Peet’s is the same and the pretzels can’t be compared price wise to other spots that sell rubbery frozen ones.

Breadbelly: what do users think?

Jewel Swanson: to their delicious breakfast sandwiches to every last thing they make is crafted to the highest degree of excellence. Every bit of the price here is justified by the highest quality and dedication from the staff. A wonderful testament to the quality of food in the Richmond District and on Clement, but also to the culinary talent present in San Francisco as a whole.

Luanne Andreotti: Belly is pretty lean with not much fat in terms of extras to entice. But what they serve, they do well.
