pagie poole: Five stars is not enough! Last year for my birthday a friend surprised me with a true chocolate and peanut butter buttercream cake from Camisha's Cakes. That cake knocked my socks off! So for my birthday this year, I knew exactly where my cake needed to come from and let me tell you, there was no compromise. I wanted another cake from Camisha. The quality of ingredients, the flavor, the care, and the customer service are all outstanding. The cake was really moist and the true chocolate flavor is to die for. The peanut butter buttercream is perfect without being overly sweet. I'll be requesting another Camisha's Cakes for next year. Do your tastebuds a favor and order a cake from this really talented local SF baker. Those cakes from chain bakeries don't even come close to Camisha's superb quality.
Lisa: Camisha never ceases to amaze me! I’ve tried a variety of flavors of cakes/cupcakes - red velvet, strawberry, coffee, pineapple upside down cake, lemon, and my favorite is chocolate with caramel. Other decorative cakes and cupcakes can sometimes be a hit or miss since they may look better than they actually taste. With Camisha, you’re absolutely going to get something not only beautiful but incredibly tasty as well. I’ve had multiple friends tell me they are not usually fans of a particular flavor of cake, but LOVED what Camisha made.

I like the cake pops, but my all-time favorite is Camisha's Carrot cake with pecans! It was hard to find a good carrot cake until I had hers. It truely made the day an extra special occasion! They're at the Stonestown Farmers Market every Sunday from 9am-1pm; worth a visit- excellent service by the way.

Vittorio Lacson: At Stonestown Farmersarket on Sundays. Sourdough country loaves have a nice crunchy crust but are moist and chewy on the inside. Heavenly.

Leejay Schmidt: My favorite bakery so far! Everything is divine. From the vanilla bean custard-stuffed Kouign Amann to the croissants, stuffed French toast, and coffee or mocha made with their house-made syrups, everything on the menu has been impressive. Pair that with the cute atmosphere and stellar customer service and you’re in for an absolute treat. Definitely recommend!

MK: Do not believe a single reviewer who bad mouths this bakery. This bakery has hard working staff that are extremely patient and always radiate positive energy to every customer. Im a newer customer and I always get treated wonderfully when I go in. I was welcomed in even when they had been closed for nearly 30 mins. The donuts are pillowy and delicious. The savory pastries are chock full of scrumptious bites. If you are looking for gluten free then this is not for you and you should not go in and then write a bad review about how they don’t provide gluten free options but if you are looking for delicious GLUTENOUS treats then go in to support this awesome bakery!

The cake survived a scenic route back to our hotel down Lambord street, too! The flavor was perfectly balanced - we got brown butter and meyer lemon. We followed all instructions and the cake was as perfect as the picture! We had to transport it a 2nd time from the hotel to our restaurant and it sat on our table as we enjoyed a birthday dinner. After ordering, we made a few changes to the flowers on the cake and deliver instructions and the staff at Butter& was SUPER fast at responding and so professional. They delivered the cake on time and it was GORGEOUS - perfectly matched florals and super cute design! Then we tried the cake itself. When I say that our vanilla cake was THE BEST CAKE I’VE EVER HAD, it’s an understatement. The Tonga vanilla bean cake with ridges and fresh flowers was the way to go. Best decision we made in terms of food/dessert - just wish we ordered more or at least got the sheet cakes

We decided on the Brown Butter + Meyer Lemon because we loved the lemon curd.They had a lot of very cool designs, and we chose a two-tier blue marble with fresh flowers. It looked great on the website, but was even more beautiful in person, and very unique. Once we had our final guest count, Kevin at Butter& helped us figure out how many additional exposé cakes we would need to have enough for all our guests, and added them to our order.Butter& delivered the cake to our day-of planner directly to the venue, and were exactly on time. They were wonderful to work with, and the cake looked amazing and tasted delicious!

Not only does it have an incredibly rich buttery flavor, but it's crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, even when it's cold.We recommend the plain croissant and almond croissant, but honestly, with this quality, whatever you order will be outstandingly delicious.The kouign amann and morning bun were addictively sweet and I could eat them all in one go.

Shana Abell: This hole in the wall is so good! There are so few shops in San Francisco that sell fresh and tasty pastries, most are hard lumps. I haven’t enjoyed pastries this delicious outside of Europe. Super happy to find this spot. It’s difficult to tell if they’re open early in the morning as the signage is small, so give a good look around so you don’t miss it.

So as an experienced lover of Stella-style treats, if you haven’t been to Stella’s Pastry, I say this: Do go as soon as you can.Her baked treats will delight you. And her americano ranks in the top 2% of all sipped, considered, and scored. If you love americanos, you know what I’m talking about.
Ilaria Prescott: A bakery that knows how to surprise you deserves 5 stars. There are many amazing bakeries in this city, and I enjoy a lot of them. But for me, Stella Bakery is a place where I feel at home with real Italian flavor in every pastry.Their cannoli and tiramisu taste truly authentic, and I also love their Fedora cake slice. The staff is always smiling and friendly. The cafe space is small, but if you can snag an outdoor seat when the weather is nice, it's one of the most relaxing experiences. I also love their cappuccinos.Stella stands out for capturing the genuine Italian essence in their baked goods and providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's a stellar bakery that lives up to its name.

It’s a big deal to choose the right establishment to become a regular and predictable to the right type of staff; This place knows I like my double cappuccino frothy in their smaller, curvy, stylish cup; their oven fresh almond crusted biscotti and apple turnover is to die for; Great eye candy of colorful cookies behind glass reminds me of paintings by Wayne Thibeaux.
Barmak Heshmat: This is really the best Italian bakery i have seen in bay area. So just to remind myself for the next time. I recommend the ones with green tick mark and don't recommend the ones with red cross. The cookie with double jelly is the best and half chocoletted hazelnut biscuits.

Salamander: Initially we went to have lunch at a Korean kitchen, but when we passed by, we saw a crowd at the entrance to the establishment. This intrigued us and we decided to look into Google to see the rating of the establishment. The rating of the establishment also did not leave anyone indifferent - 4.7 is, say, a rarity for a cafe.The establishment itself is not big. You can only get a seat on the street. Since the queue is long, all the tables are also occupied. But we were lucky - the table we had scheduled quickly became available.Let me first describe the advantages: 1. The price category is average, 2. The menu can be viewed online, 3. The choice of dishes is decent, 4. The service is fast - you didn’t have to wait long for your order, 5. The establishment has a toilet and it is quite clean, 6. From the food I liked the dumplings and bread.Cons: 1. I didn’t like all the food - we ordered: borscht - nothing special, we expected it to be at least approximately like home, but unfortunately not. Pancakes with cottage cheese - I didn’t like this dish at all. The cottage cheese resembled some kind of raw, tasteless dough. The only thing that saved the situation was the jam that came with the pancakes. If it weren't for him, everything would seem insipid and strange. Grandma's chicken soup - a lot of noodles... it seemed like they ordered spaghetti, which was poured with broth on top, 2. Drinks - they took compote and beer. In general, I don’t recommend dark beer - it’s bitter and smells like alcohol - not for everyone. The compote is tolerable and moderately sweet.Conclusion: the food is average, no frills. If you want to save money and have a quick snack, or you are too tormented by nostalgia, this is the place for you.

Arson: The staff are some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I go in every week to get some chocolate pastries. I currently struggle with anxiety which causes a stutter when I speak. Kenneth Day: Awesome job! Would order again. Cake was a little pricey but well worth it. And they were able to make and deliver a custom phalic cake 30 miles away within 6 hours of me ordering. I don’t know of even regular cake places that could do that. Cake was delicious. The design on top was realistic and the message written on it was hilarious. My only negative was that the piece on top was made out of frosting and therefore was a little to rich to eat but that’s on me not them. It wouldn’t have changed my purchase had I known it I just maybe would’ve opted to pay a little more to see if they had like a brownie filled option. But like I said I didn’t even ask about that so the cake was true to the order. The delivery was organized by them using an Uber and went very easy. I won’t post a picture because Im not sure what I can and can’t post but take my word it was a very professionally made cake. Great job guys. Thanks

He was sweet and checked in regularly to ensure that my delivery was executed perfectly. The cake I ordered was a female body with vanilla for the cake and buttercream frosting. The cake was delicious, moist, sweet and creamy.My brother and his friends kept grinning at the detail of the cake. Everyone at the club was amazed by the cake. CMD: Delightful little spot with very tasty treats and friendly staff.Seen some complaints in reviews by folks about price. Coffee is cheaper than Schocks next door. The cost of their croissant with ham compared to those mass produced around the corner at Peet’s is the same and the pretzels can’t be compared price wise to other spots that sell rubbery frozen ones.

Jewel Swanson: to their delicious breakfast sandwiches to every last thing they make is crafted to the highest degree of excellence. Every bit of the price here is justified by the highest quality and dedication from the staff. A wonderful testament to the quality of food in the Richmond District and on Clement, but also to the culinary talent present in San Francisco as a whole.
Luanne Andreotti: Belly is pretty lean with not much fat in terms of extras to entice. But what they serve, they do well. It has a young start up vibe with good precious offerings, a limited interesting menu for a bakery that also does lunch. It’s pretty much outdoor seating only sans the shade and expect a line. We are told by the counter staff it takes eight minutes to heat the savory mushroom pie or corn pastry with an egg inside. Everything was tasty.Personally I prefer muffins containing an egg to be soft boiled rather than hard, such as the morning muffin at Post Script on Jackson street which can’t compare to anything else. It was a fun place to try and I brought a couple of cookies home to try. The matcha latte was excellent, sweetened with brown sugar. I like that they use good ingredients on their spare cuisine. I do think they might expand the menu a tad.
