Natsume Shiihara: I love the bento lunches from Shalala Deli inside Fugetsu Market. In particular, the "Shalala Deluxe Bento" recommended by Shalala Deli's manager, Nobu Iwahashi, contains seasoned chicken and fried shrimp, and the salmon with white sauce on the side was delicious even for me, who doesn't like salmon. If you run out of ingredients and only rice is left, it's a good idea to eat it with the vegetables on the side.
Polly Chan: I used to occasionally buy freshly made Japanese bento boxes. It turns out they also have so many cute little things~Lots of small plates and cartoon-shaped design cups~A lot of little healing things,In the end, I was willing to bring back a milk pot~So cuteAnyone who passes by can take a look!
Oxana Tuvina: Fresh and yummy ! 🤤
Alice Shih: Much better than any Chinese pretend Japanese food here!Similar to what I had in restaurants in JapanIt’s a real Japanese bentoAnd the bento is very affordable and reasonably pricedHighly recommended! !
Jaime Felix: This shop has everything here. When you think of Japanese food, they got it all— sushi, Kushikatsu, bento, and matcha soft serve. They just started matcha soft serve here and it was so delicious. If I lived closer, I would seriously come everyday. They give large portions like it should be for your hard earned money. Get your bang for your buck here! The dons that my family and I ordered were so delicious. The flavors take me back to Japan.Fugetsu is an Osaka-born global chain that specializes in okonomiyaki. However this shop along with Shalala deli is a special place in Strawberry Park.Quick grab and go meal for lunch, dinner or a meal for the next day. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Joshua A.: I got the okonomiyaki deluxe which was pretty good, a tiny bit heavy on the mayo/sauce, but didn't make it less enjoyable, plus there are a million other things to choose from here so I would definitely come back to try some others.

Anthea Navarro: Overall it was a good experience and food. The only thing I really did not like is that their to-go boxes kept opening and would not shut, no matter what we did.Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating to my 9 month old.
Kevin Paterson: We were in search for a hibachi restaurant in the Bay area. Not too many around based on Google Maps. We ended up going here on a Saturday night about 6pm. It wasn't too busy at all at the time but started to get busy about 30 min later. This is a typical hibachi with the same salad and miso soup to start with. The hibachi was the same as well. The cook was very entertaining and friendly. The food was not the best I had at a hibachi but it still tasted good. I ordered the chicken and scallops with fried rice. I think it needed more flavor like garlic and salt. Afterwards, they served ice cream. The flavors they had were green tea, orange, & vanilla. The vanilla tasted good.Everything was a good portion of food. I had to box the rest of mine up. Overall it was a good experience.

zike qin: Unagi chazuke is delicious, a nice place for rice based Japanese food.We got a seat without reservation on a Saturday night.Food: 5/5 …
Zamir Mamytov: Upon entering, it appeared there was typically a long wait, but we were seated right away at a table for two. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the servers were all very attentive and pleasant. We were surprised by the size of the dishes we ordered—they were all quite generous! It's no wonder why most people come in groups or parties. The prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of everything we ordered, but I must say, their salmon was absolutely delicious!Overall, everything was fantastic, and we're excited to return, perhaps with some friends next time.
Michelle Wang: Got the fancy tatami room and the food was delicious. I actually had more fish than rice. So the fish to rice ratio was great! I got the mini chirashi bowl for $19, added uni for 7.50They have a large variety of food items on their menu and I think I may return to try more!
Ting Ning: Amazing! This place is great, it has a wide selection of items from bento boxes to ramen. It also has a lot of seafood dishes and alcoholic drinks. The only thing I would say to improve was that it took WAY too long to make the ramen. The bento box has literally done for 10 minutes and the ramen only came
Emily “Rainnie” Xiong: I visited Dan Izakaya Restaurant twice this week; first on a quiet Tuesday lunch time, and then on a bustling Friday night. Making a reservation for Tuesday meant our large party was seated immediately, but Friday's visit involved a long wait, despite this, the staff remained calm and friendly throughout. I highly recommend the Sashimi Salad, raw squid, Unagi Meshi, and their bento box, although the Takoyaki included was a bit too soft for my liking, likely due to an excess of flour in the mix, and the sauce was overly sweet. Parking is ample as the lot serves the entire plaza, ensuring convenience no matter how busy it gets. Whether it's a weekday visit or a busy weekend dinner, Dan Izakaya impresses with its quality dishes and steadfast service.

Alyssa Siddiqui: Authentic Japanese food in Japantown.I always order their Sushi Boat B tray which has the best variety of sushi including toro, amaebi, ikura, and other assorted sushi at one of the best prices that I know of.In the pictures, we always have unagi, California roll, and ikura separate because we have someone with a gluten allergy.I love their takoyaki and okonomiyaki, so you have to try at least one!Udons are great and bentos also.Their restaurant is quite small so come before they open or you’ll probably have to wait as there is a line on the weekends and even at opening time. So I usually order takeout and they usually put in a nice sushi tray as seen in the pics.
Deven Olds: Food was truly incredible, and I couldn't have asked for better service. From order to table in 15 minutes tops and we ordered a large amount of food. Servers were polite, accomodating and had great attitudes. The best Takoyaki I've had.Seating is limited and it's a tight izakaya, large groups may have issues with seating.

Pat Wong: The steamer baskets are super! Also great nabe options, especially on stormy days. Service is friendly and fast. Dishes served in correct order. The agedashi is tasty. The staff checks often if anything else is wanted. The plain rice 🍚 is good! The combination meals are great!
Kevin Mentor: Best Japanese restaurant in the US! Definitely authentic.
J Valdez: Nice little establishment. Staff were on point. Hot tea was nice. I asked about ceramic instead of plastic for the tea. The staff did a good job for a arbitrary request. Does it matter? A little bit as far as temperatures. Now the fish. I ordered the Sashimi appetizer platter. It was very good. I can end the review on a high note there. I would recommend. The fish mix was nice, flavorful and buttery. This was my first time trying Sashimi and thank you for making it a good time.Okay, now the spicy tuna roll. I don't know why sometimes it's softer mix for the tuna but based on that and the portion size I am going to take a few points off.Speed of service was very good for having a sign in sheet.

Jonathan Brown: Great yakisoba, would recommend to anyone!
G Lee: I’m pretty sure they changed their menu here. Because they have more than takoyaki now. They have stone pot maze yakisoba. And it’s good! Three of us tried the original, the garlic, and the spicy. All three were yummy. A nice little change of pace from ramen. Perhaps a tad on the salty side. But I love the egg you crack in the bowl and mix it all together. Excellent. And by the way, they still have mochi donuts. Also yum.
Yudhishthir Kandel (युधिष्ठिर कँडेल): Excellent

Vishal Kasliwal: Excellent sushi!!! We're vegetarian, and while there were few options, the ones available were excellent. In particular, the Yukatan Roll is to die for!! If they expanded the veggies selection, this would become one of the most awesome sushi options in the Bay...Vegetarian options: The options are few, but they are excellent! The Yukatan Roll is dangerously good - try this one at your own peril because it is addictively good. It has just become my favorite roll...
Randy Lie: I love the a la carte options which makes for great takeout for large family meals.Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for kids if they don't like sushi/sashimi - katsu, teriyaki, gyoza etc.
Nick G: I’ve been coming here for a couple years and I’ve always had a great experience! The sushi is amazing and it always tastes super fresh. I was here on Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend and we made a request for one roll to be made different and they completely changed the whole order. Aside from this experience every other one has been great! I really enjoy this restaurant and despite the one poor experience I will continue to come and just hope it doesn’t happen again! I always order a ton of rolls when coming here and they’re always fresh and full of flavor!Update!I’ve been coming here for a couple years now the service is always great and the stuff are pretty awesome. The prices are a little high, but I feel like if they lower the prices this place for sure deserves five stars. The sushi is top quality here, but it seems like they recently raise their prices even more which in my opinion definitely wasn’t needed. The inside of the place has great ambience. It’s super nice!!!
Sarah Shaikh: Ordered the Big Smile roll and the salmon Maki on Uber eats. Overall rolls were good. Fish quality was good, not too much rice, and the rolls were rolled neatly. Order came with ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. However, they did forget my chopsticks and since this is a delivery order, they should be providing the utensils. Prices were normal for a sushi restaurant in this area. Selfishly, I do wish they were more salmon rolls on the menu.Overall, solid sushi , they have a huge menu with lots of variety: sushi, noodles, bento box etc — would come again in person and would order delivery again with them!
Margarita Garcia: I always order the Bento boxes.. Teriyaki chicken with Tempura..my Tempura is always sweet potatoes only. 😋😋Parking: It's in a shopping center. Si there's plenty if parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Need to add wheelchair access by the restaurants and all around shops.

Mark Kennedy: Recommended dishes Kobe Style Beef Shabu Shabu, Angus Lean Beef
Canaan Lewin: Got food here the other night and it was delicious. I got the vegetarian options, and my friend got the seafood option, and we both really liked our dishes. As someone who has only had shabu shabu only a couple times before, this is another layer of fun for going out to a restaurant getting to cook your food on your table, on top of good food and excellent service.Vegetarian options: Clearly marked vegetarian options on menu.
Hana !: restaurant. You choose a soup base, out of classics like shoyu
Amy H.: Today was my first time trying this hot pot place since my friend recommended it. We came around lunchtime and ordered the Creamy Vegetarian soup base, the Spicy Sichuan soup base, medium sized toro belly, and we got the shack sauce. The inside was busy since it was during lunch hour, but the staff were well organized. When the Creamy Vegetarian soup base first came out, it tasted a bit creamy but it felt like it was missing something. After adding vegetables and the toro belly, the soup base tasted better. I would preferred the Spicy Sichuan soup base with mild spice. The Spicy Sichuan - mild was seasoned well and when you add the vegetables and toro beef, it enhanced the soup base even more! It’s definitely my favorite here! I would also recommend getting the Shack Sauce, even though it’s an extra $0.50 for it. The sauce pairs really well with the toro belly. The toro belly meat was soft and you can taste the quality of it.Service was friendly and food was brought out fairly quickly. This is a good spot to go if you are craving hot pot. I will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases and meat!
Jamey Winn: Great food, great service, did not disappoint.

Tim Vu: I love that they put wasabi underneath the fish on the nigiri. Seriously. That is a true sign of greatness and good things to come. Honestly not expensive either.Parking: Come early on weekends.
RICK LEE 3: Most restaurants located next to supermarkets tend to have good food. I give the food 9/10, it would have been a perfect score but the salad was old and still served. It was the brown old, and bitter salad that no one wants to eat. The dressing on the salad was so good gobbled it down.Parking: Parking is crazy on weekends and during mealtimes
Alexica Qian: Warm service and reasonable prices.
