I went to the opening day celebration at their new store location in Fremont and saw an amazing selection of everything from everyday wear to gorgeous bridal outfits. They have a lot of different styles, including lehengas, sarees, and salwar kameez in the latest colors and cuts. The embroidery is high quality and the clothes are sewn and lined nicely, which makes them really comfortable and not itchy. The outfit I purchased needed a bit of alteration, which they handled for me without needing to make a separate trip to the tailor—it was so convenient to just come back to VAMA within a few days and pick up the now-ready-to-wear outfit. The new location is bright, open, and sparkling clean, with plenty of parking, and conveniently located near the downtown Fremont shopping corridor. Highly recommend a visit!

As a bride, I knew I wanted to wear a traditional red outfit but had looked extensively online and hadn’t been able to find exactly what I was looking for. I saw a specific outfit on Vama’s IG stories and knew I wanted to try that outfit on. My husband and I traveled from OC to San Jose to see the outfit in person and browse around the shop. There were so many beautiful outfits to see, but as soon as I tried THE outfit on, I knew it was going to be my wedding outfit. Vaijayanti was so kind and patient with customizing my outfit to the exact shade of red I was looking for, helping us figure out the groom outfit, finding matching jewelry/accessories for both our outfits, and designing outfits for our entire wedding party of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Though we had a tight timeline of just two months until the wedding, she made sure all the products came in on time and looked fantastic. My mom and sister also got a few outfits from Vama for some of the wedding events, and everything looked great. I am so thankful to Vama and Vaijayanti for bringing my vision to life for our wedding! Shanaya Mullan: Best bridal shop in the Bay Area!!! We had the most pleasant experience at VAMA designs. I came for the first time 8 months before my wedding to find my bridal lengha. It was so easy to get an appointment; I brought my entire family with me and we received a warm greeting as soon as we stepped in. VAMA designs has SO many beautiful options that are high quality & at a great price. We looked at lots of places in the bay and no one’s collection compared to VAMA. I only planned on getting one outfit but walked away with two because they were so amazing! Vaijayanti Aunty and her team were incredible to work with. As an out of town bride it was so easy to communicate with her from the East Coast. Based on her recommendation, I planned a trip back to the Bay Area to get my alterations done 2 months before my wedding. I showed up there day I flew in and I was shocked when she told me she could get me my outfit before I left 3 days later. The customer service, responsiveness, quality and quantity of outfits and price cannot be beat!!!

We came across VAMA Designs Indian Bridal store. We were pleasantly surprised by this wonderful in house Boutique, which was located in the Evergreen area. It was such a nice atmosphere in the store, with very friendly staff that immediately helped us. I knew right away by the feel and look of the fabrics that this was made of the highest quality. There were so many different designs, mostly Bridal themes, but Vama did have designs for other formal occasions. I was pleased to find out, the actual designer and the owner, was Vama , and I was pleased to meet her. Vama, and her staff, gave us undivided attention, and were so patient with us searching for the right Lehenga & Kurta.When it came down to the pricing, it was affordable, in comparison to other stores we had visited. The best thing about this experience was that she was willing to work with us according to our budget.We will definitely be coming back, and we highly recommend VAMA DESIGNS for any and all Bridal occasions, as well as formal events .

Meeka Gandhi: Toral with TC Urban Couture helped me with my wedding lehenga and my fiance's sherwani this past fall. I could not recommend her more. I was so intimidated by the concept of a custom made dress, but when I walked into Toral's studio, I immediately felt at ease. She has such a calming and reassuring presence about her. She was also incredibly helpful without pressuring us in any way. I felt like Toral listened to what we wanted and got to know our personalities in a way that allowed her to make helpful suggestions and help us stay true to ourselves in our choices of color and design. Toral was also very communicative with every step of the design and creation process. If I had any questions or worries, she would respond promptly to discuss what we wanted or what ideas she had. Toral was so dedicated to helping my fiance and I get exactly what we wanted. She is so committed to her craft. The week of the wedding, there were some last minute adjustments to both my lehenga and my fiance's sherwani. Toral drove with me to the tailor on the spot to help facilitate adjustments. For the sherwani, there were some more challenging adjustments and she hunted for an appropriate tailor the week of the wedding and delivered it to our house a couple days before. Her level of dedication and love for her clients is something I have never seen. I felt so safe with her in this stressful process, and it was an absolute joy to work with Toral and TC Urban Couture. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for Indian festive clothing for any occasion. Thank you, Toral!

She and her team worked very hard to ensure that every detail was exactly what I had in mind during the design and sewing process. I showed her photos of the inspiration outfits, and she worked virtually at all times of the day/night with her team in India to ensure that the vision came to life. She sent me photos of the outfit during each step of the process for my input and to ensure that I was happy with how it was progressing. If there was a component I didnt like, she made sure that it was changed exactly to what I wanted.The details on the outfits are exceptional, quality is unparalleled, and they fit like a glove.Her prices are very reasonable, and often less than what you would pay for an already designed lehenga at another boutique. She also has a beautiful selection of outfits in her store, and if I hadn't already purchased my wedding lehenga before I met her, I would have definitely bought that from TC Urban Couture as well. They have a great selection of men's sherwanis and can also customize those as well.I seriously cannot recommend TC Urban Couture highly enough. I knew I wouldn't be able to make it to India before my wedding, and didn't want to wear the same outfits as many brides from other stores. The fact that she does custom couture work at an exceptionally high quality without breaking the bank was a godsend. I felt like a queen on my wedding day and it's in large part due to her outfits. Ruchi Patel: Where to even begin! I randomly stumbled upon Toral's page via instagram after a day of unsuccessful wedding shopping in the bay. Best find ever! Toral helped me with my Sangeet outfit and my reception outfit. My sangeet outfit is from Papa Dont Preach and since Toral is a stockist for them, she was able to get me the outfit I wanted directly. My reception outfit, she helped me create from scratch! She has a cute boutique on the terrace of her house and it was such a fun experience! My mom, aunt, and grandma all got to come with me to my visits and it was so special for them to not only be able to to be a part of this process but also be so welcomed by Toral. She treated us like family. Toral was sooo communicative and would send updates at every step of the process. She would also make us come in to check the sample pieces of the outfits so that we knew exactly what we were getting. Toral also has a nice selection in store. She made my whole wedding shopping experience sooo so easy and I highly recommend her! I definitely will be shopping with her in the future.

I had a very specific idea of what I wanted mine and my husband's outfits to look like for our sangeet and Tora was open to and excited about our design from the start. From the beginning of the process, she made it simple and easy by letting us pick the color and type of fabric as well as taking excellent measurements. She even took into account the type of event we were having and made sure my dress was not too long or heavy so I could comfortable dance in it. And then once the outfits were being made, she made sure to send us progress videos and pictures. Even once the outfits came, Toral went the extra step to make sure that my outfit was there in time for my fitting as well as doing alterations in two days so that I could have the outfit in time. Our sangeet outfits got so many compliments I lost count!She also custom made the outfits for my husband's groomsmen and woman and took care to make sure they were made precisely to size, including FaceTiming with them to do sizing consultations.I could not recommend Toral and TC Urban Couture enough!
