Justina Kaiser: We were searching for someone that can do some major remodeling for our house that was in a need for some serious upgrades and updates. Due to some personal issues, we decided to wait with the major remodeling and to do our kitchen and master bathroom so we moved forward with that goal. Eli came out and quickly figured out what we were looking to do and he was very clear about the time frames and overall costs. Eli was very resourceful with the designs that he did for us and he gave us a great direction when we had doubts about paint colors, type of materials and light fixtures. Eli and his skilled team gave us a range of starting dates because of few pending projects that they had this was more than fine with us. As the starting date for the work got closer, Eli kept us informed about all the materials that they ordered for us and he came over to make sure that they were delivered on time. This was a huge advantage because at the end, this more made the work run smoothly and without any additional delay. The work took a little over 5 weeks (including the installation of a custom made shower glass and mirror that were order. The team was very nice and polite to us while they worked very hard with attention to all details and perfection. They worked from 8 to 5 or even 6 each day and they did their best to not bother the rest of the house. We are very happy with the results of their work! The final price was very fair and it didn’t change at all. The quality of the work is much better than we thought it will be. We would highly recommend Eli and his crew.

Wilma Shepherd: and he said great things about his contractor, so we took from him the number just in case we will need it in the future. We knew that we have to hire this company to come over and to see what we will do for our new house when we buy one. After we purchased our house, we needed to do several improvements and we had strict budget for that in which we thought that it will be the best to call this contractor and to ask him to come over and check out what we want. What we did not know is that someday after purchasing our house and live there for close to a year, we will have unknowingly twist of luck that will require us to have a contractor come over and correct the problems and issues. The copper pipes were no good and exploded after we had a leak and cracking tiles throughout the home at the time of purchase. I wish it would have been under easier circumstances but thank god, we still had the contact information of this contractor. After contacting Gili from LAR Construction & Remodeling, we scheduled a meeting for him to come over and see the problems AND to give us estimate to remodel the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and the master bedroom. Gili and the workers from LAR Construction & Remodeling were on top of things and did a fantastic work in a pretty good timeframe. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone! I mean that not many contractors are capable to perform big project such as ours and mainly on time and as agreed. We originally expected from the first contractor that we meet and asked for estimate will be able to at least provide some referrals that can confirm the works that they did. We quickly learned that all contracting companies are not the same. We feel very lucky to have Gili and his team worked at our house. The team and Gili fixed, rebuilt, replaced, improved, painted, hanged, washed, installed and repaired everything we agreed and even more and all of that in order to make our home functional and beautiful again. At times there were 3-4 trades working on our home at one time to ensure the most efficient use of time possible. Cara Fernandez: Our one story 1960’s ranch style house in Saratoga, was in need of an upgrade. We ended up removing a few walls, creating a brand new kitchen, living and dining room with a transitional open concept. We updated an existing fireplace by refacing in stone and adding a gas insert. We added 110 sq. feet to our master suite by adding a double vanity, walk in closet, and walk in shower, new floors, windows, roof and stucco to the whole house. We added air conditioning, and updated the heating system. All in all, the entire house is like new!Greg May helped us finalize our decisions based on the vision we had for our house. He had great ideas, didn’t push to do unnecessary work, preserved some previous remodeling we had done, and kept it simple and straightforward while accomplishing what we wanted to do with our house. He was always keeping budget in mind and suggested ways we could do more for less, and be more efficient with our project. He wasn’t pushy and his personality was very calming in these very stressful beginning stages.In looking for a General Contractor we had specific qualities that were critical:Budgeting: Before we began, we worked through and estimated budget that we were able to tailor to what we wanted to do. Although we added more scope to the project once we started, we were never surprised in the middle of the project with additional costs to the original scope of our project. Many friends had said, “expect your budget to double by the end”, and happily we ended within our scope.Project On Time: Although we had a few changes as the project progressed, we were back in our house within the six month time frame that was promised. We had an unusually wet winter during our project, and despite the weather, effort was made to move things along quickly. Eric was on top of keeping us on track to making decisions when it came to tile, flooring, fixtures, paint color, etc. to make sure that lead times would not hold up the project.Hard working staff and subcontractors: Our neighbors commented on how surprised they were that we had people working on our house almost every day. It was rare that there wasn’t someone at the house doing something. It was even impressive when a variety of contractors would arrive at the same time to work side by side to save time on the project.Quality staff: All of the employees of May Construction as well as subcontractors were respectful and courteous. I would be on site most days, and they truly valued my opinion and answered all of the questions and concerns that I had. Our designer, Catherine, made some excellent suggestions for bathroom design, and tile/countertop selections.Attention to detail: May construction was sure to make sure that every detail was finished to our satisfaction. They were good about coming out even months later to fix any issue we had. With all new construction, you can count on a few problems, but May is quick to act to fix them.Communication: It was easy to contact our project manager Eric. He was always available via text, email or phone. Even on the weekends, he was willing to answer questions and solve issues that had come up. No matter the situation, Eric was always a listening ear and would reach out to the proper subcontractor to get the issues resolved. Going through a remodel can be very stressful and May always took a calm and measured approach to any situation. Myri D: We worked with FVR for our kitchen remodel, which included moving the kitchen to a different location in the house, transforming the existing kitchen into a dining room and closets, and relocating the laundry. From our first meeting, we immediately were impressed with them, Guy and David came that day and they both listened to our needs and what we were thinking. They explained the process and what we could and couldn't do.What I liked is that they explained things according to the cost, which was very important to us. They gave us a quote and stayed within that quote for the entire job, which we loved. They were also very open to our ideas and tried to look for the best solutions when a problem arose.Our foreman was Jose. He and his crew were great. They were efficient and clean, which was really appreciated since we were living in the house while the remodeling happened. They left the area clean before they left and put away anything that could be dangerous for our kids.They all realized from the beginning that I was picky and knew what I wanted so they were super patient and always asked me before doing something. I'm also visual so they tried to always show me how it was going to look before they finished it. Again, these guys were so patient! As you can see in the pictures, our backsplash is a big statement in our kitchen, the guy that did the tiles was very detailed oriented and didn't mind that I was hovering over him looking at everything, the end result is so perfect.David was our main manager and he responded quickly and offered solutions when needed. Allen, the designer we worked with, was great and really helped me with some things that I was on the fence about. He also made the most amazing renderings, which helped us visualize everything so much better.Overall, we had a really positive experience, everyone was great to work with and they were really fast problem solvers. We also had a couple of issues arise and they were here within a few minutes fixing it, even on a Sunday and evenings.This was our first big remodel in our fixer-upper and couldn't be happier with the result and the experience.

I felt Lemon was actively partnering with me to make the repair and that they cared that it was done well.• Ease—Jacob handled everything the project needed—scheduling the engineering and architectural plans, securing the permits, scheduling the inspection, and doing the actual work. I didn’t have to do anything. It was so nice to let someone take care of it—and take care of it correctly.• Comfort—I felt Jacob and his team were honest and had my best interests at heart. I was comfortable asking them questions, talking about problems that arose during the project, and having them in my home.• Timeliness—The team was on time and very responsive. They worked every day and finished the project about ten days sooner than I expected.• Cleanliness—The team was surprisingly clean. Digging concrete piers from under the house—in a crawlspace 18 inches high—was loud, dirty, and dusty. They protected the floors and hung plastic barriers to isolate the work space. And, after each day, the team swept up and stacked their tools nicely. Of course there was a garbage pile outside the house during the project, but it was removed within a day of the project being completed. Jacob even planned to have someone come to my house to clean it after the project was done.What initially overwhelmed me turned out to be a positive experience. I’m very happy that I could work with Jacob and the Lemon team and hope to be able to use them again on future projects.

Lary Franks: In the summer of 2018, I had Lemon Remodeling upgrade 2 of my one bedroom apartments which where somewhat outdated. After speaking with Asaf, the owner, I had him go ahead with the project.
