Jose Manuel Gómez Lozano: We took this Free tour through Civitatis and our guide Jose Manuel impressed us with his extensive knowledge and good work during the visit, he made it extremely interesting for us with his many explanations. I can say that it has been the best Free Tour we have done, which are quite a few between Europe and America. If you visit San Francisco, California, do not hesitate to book this tour in Spanish, you will not regret it, especially if your guide is Jose Manuel.

Matt Halasz: Awesome tour! Can be busy but you can move at your own pace

Callie Johnson: Nestled in the chilly waters of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island has long intrigued visitors with its storied past. The Behind the Scenes Night Tour offers an exclusive glimpse into the hidden corners of this iconic former prison. Here’s why it’s an experience worth every moment:Guided Exploration: Imagine stepping beyond the ordinary tourist path. With a group of 30 or fewer, you’ll embark on a 4-5 hour guided adventure led by knowledgeable experts. These guides unveil off-limits areas—the very spots where notorious inmates once roamed. You’ll hear tales of daring escapes, prison life, and the island’s eerie history.Off-Limits Areas: The tour takes you to places rarely seen by the public. Explore the hospital wing, where medical secrets and inmate stories intertwine. Stand in the solitary confinement cells, feeling the weight of isolation. These spaces hold echoes of desperation and resilience.Special Programs: As twilight settles, the island transforms. The Behind the Scenes Night Tour includes special live presentations—intimate glimpses into Alcatraz’s past. Listen to riveting accounts of escape attempts, riots, and the daily struggles faced by both inmates and guards. These programs change, ensuring a fresh experience each time.Cellhouse After Dark: As darkness envelops Alcatraz, you’ll join the regular Alcatraz Night Tour. Wander through the cellhouse, guided by an audio tour that brings the stories to life. Imagine the clank of cell doors, the whispers of desperate men, and the haunting echoes of history. It’s a visceral connection to the past.Breathtaking Views: Alcatraz at night offers a different kind of beauty. The city lights twinkle across the bay, framing the island’s rugged silhouette. From the parade ground, gaze at the Golden Gate Bridge—a sentinel guarding the entrance to the Pacific. It’s a view that lingers in your memory.Practical Tips:Timed Entry: Arrive at least half an hour before your ticket time. Security checks and boarding take time.Prioritize Ranger Programs: Attend any ranger-led presentations—they add depth to your experience.Embrace the Night: Alcatraz reveals its soul after dark. Let the shadows guide you.In summary, the Alcatraz Behind the Scenes Night Tour transcends mere sightseeing. It immerses you in the layers of history, leaving an indelible mark. Don’t miss this chance to step into the shadows and hear Alcatraz’s whispered confessions.Remember, Alcatraz isn’t just a place; it’s a chapter in the human story—one that continues to captivate and intrigue

Bret Salowitz: It was amazing to see the actual isolation and regular cells. Only seen it in television with Eastwood but stepping inside was unreal. I had no clue that they had woman and children also living there at that time. Also , they had a battle there that I've never heard of. A must see for sure. Only small drawback were those damn flies. They were everywhere from the ferry to the ground level of the prison.

Tarcisio Carvalho: We bought tickets online in advance and had no problem going on the tour on the scheduled day and time. The Ferry takes around 30 minutes to get to the island. Once there, you walk along a ramp to a higher point. Following the arrows, you reach the place where you pay for the audio tour. The audio is available in several languages, including Portuguese. With audio guidance, you can walk through the old maximum security prison, viewing its cells while listening to an explanation about the place. To return, just go to the pier and wait for the next ferry.

Superfm Den Haag: Really very interesting worth a visit

Randy Trimble: There is so much to learn and see. The tour is definitely with it.

Sara Vancil: We had a fun two hour tour with Anthony! We had five adults and fit comfortably and the heated seats and warm, waterproof blankets were awesome. I loved that they took photos for us along the way and then sent them to us via AirDrop at the end! We did a two hour tour and got to spend a lot of time in the Presidio, down near Fort Mason and the Golden Gate bridge, into North Beach and Chinatown, down Lombard Street, up to Coit Tower, and along the wharf! One thing I should have done is asked up front where the tour would go...I would have liked to get out to Golden Gate Park and the ocean but he said that we would have needed to book the 3-hour tour for that. I should have asked or I should have inquired if we could have focused on the park instead of Chinatown/North Beach as the tour was much more pleasant in the Presidio, etc rather than in traffic, but that's no fault of theirs! This was a fun and fabulous way to see the City and I highly recommend!

christopher richardson: Great way to see and learn about the city!

E R: This was a super fun and informative way to see San Francisco. Brian was very knowledgeable and engaging. Our three teenagers all said this was their favorite part of our trip to SF, so that should tell you something! Adults agree with that sentiment.

Abby: This was the best tour! Our guide was fantastic and we saw all the best known SF spots plus so much more! It was entertaining and informative and the perfect pace. Blankets and seat heaters kept us warm. My 13yr old son loved it. So far it has been his favorite activity from the trip.

Mike_ DC3: Jo Jo was a great tour guide. We saw the entire city along with the special stops, which were amazing.

Ana Romero: Our family was in San Francisco during Christmas Break and we booked the Tuk Tuk really not knowing what to expect and my family and I had such a blast! Edith was amazing I would highly recommend her! Edith continually fed us nuggets of the city throughout the tour and we learned a ton while having a great time in the Tuk Tuk. We will do this again on our next trip! Changa we appreciate all the fun memories you have given our family for many years to come you are absolutely amazing! My kids have talked about this tour so much with friends/family. Cant wait to do this again!

jay murphy: My family had a great time with the holiday TukTuk tour. Our guide Brian was funny and cheerful and chill. Was worth every penny.

Cam: Edith was such a wonderful tour guide for our trip!! She is so personable, knowledgeable, and such a genuine person. We 110% enjoyed our experience and glad we chose to do the tour!

Eric Cornel: "5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"It was an enjoyable and different experience. And our tour guide/driver was pleasant and accommodating. Keep it up!

Ulrike Schuster: We had a really good time by driving with our guide Edith and by Tuk Tuk through San Francisco. It was an amazing experience which I would not like to miss. Thank you, Edith!

Niki Barnes: Edith was great!!!! I recommend!!!

Cassie Ott: Such an amazing ride!! The karaoke option is so fun. Every pedestrian we passed had a smile on their face seeing us go by. We went through the Presidio, all the way down to the Embarcadero/ferry building and down Lombard street. I was celebrating my birthday and it was everything I wanted and more. Felt comfortable and safe the whole time.

Elizabeth Skordinski: 10 out of 10! THE BEST EXPERIENCE & MUST DO! W/ LUCKY TUK TUK TOURS!I was so nervous to self drive the scooter. Lucky Tuk Tuk was professional, kind, explained route so well and got to make incredible memories w/ my son based off their recommendations. It was so fun and I'm grateful for the experience. It's a MUST DO in San Fran!

Thomas Gallardo: I love this tour! The guide Brian clearly knew his stuff and was extremely personable, which made it feel more like a day out with an old friend. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good time!

KC Green: Touring SF by Tuk Tuk was AWESOME. It is a really cool way to get around and see the sights. Our tour guide was superb, taking us places the buses cannot go, educating us and sharing great stories about the spots we visited, and just overall having a great and fun personality!

Veronica Catanese: I love San Francisco! It has super incredible places. Yosemite and the Wine Tour are my favorites. Thank you Gray Line for this fantastic experience. I will definitely come back for more!

Administración Sutransfer: Excellent Tours!! incredible places

Dr Mahima Jain: We did Monterey and Carmel by the sea with them. Good experience. Comfortable 12 hour tour where don’t have to drive and relevant opportunities for photostop and sightseeing given. The tour head very nice as we were late by 1 minute in the morning to reach the pick up point. The helpline number and the grayline incharge got the bus again to pick us up. We were very satisfied and happy with their service

Jannina Fernandez De Castro: Great service and a lot of information. Great tour the problem was a lot of trafic and delay the arrivals

Lucia Alonso: Excellent tours of the city of San Francisco. We loved it and without a doubt we will return😀

James Taylor: Loved our guide and driver for the Muir woo

Kevin Ashurst: We had a wonderful experience with Gray Line tours in San Francisco! Clean, well driven bus, with a knowledgeable tour guide. I'll definitely use them again!

Cheryl: I had a great time on the Muir Woods and Sausalito tour. It was a convenient way to see the majestic coast redwoods and I enjoyed learning about San Francisco and surrounding communities while on the tour. I was especially impressed by our guide's ability to navigate the winding roads leading to the woods. Sausalito is a pretty coastal city.

Rachel Cipkins: We did the Napa Sonoma wine tasting tour. This was a great value for your money if you just want to do a wine tour for the vibes & pictures. The wine was okay it was not bad but you get what you pay for. We did not buy any to take home and for reference we usually do when we go wine tasting. Our group was 50 people which at times felt like being herded like cattle & not what we are used to when we have gone wine tasting before. The bus was nice, clean, you can leave stuff onboard, there is a bathroom, however they do not provide water. I would recommend this to the beginner wine enthusiast who wants to get a taste for wine country but definitely not a seasoned wine expert. Overall if I had friends visiting who were on a budget I would recommend this tour!

coriander stone: Great tour guide to Sausalito and Muir woods, our driver gave so much interesting and different information to what we’d previously heard about the areas. Would definitely recommend.

56 hj6: Great customer service and an unforgettable tour!Pretty decent pricing as well.

Liz Hammond: Awesome tour, great value! The timing of the tour was perfect, and Muir Woods was awesome. Our driver, Heather, was a great- very knowledgeable narration as we went on the tour, and very kind as well. Would recommend.

Joe Sampson: Booked and thoroughly enjoyed two different tours with Gray Line over the past week. The Muir Woods/Sausalito to + the Wine Country tour. Both delivered fantastic experiences at all stops and had really friendly, terrific tour guides. I would absolutely use Gray Line in the future and recommend you do the same!Thank you for two great days, Gray Line!

Kellie Blain: Can highly recommend Gray Line San Francisco for their Muir Woods/ Sausalito tours. Our driver Heather was an added delight to the tour. She was very knowledge with the information especially driving to and from Muir Woods. A must do when visiting San Francisco.

Charles Jackson: I recently had the opportunity to overwhelmingly enjoy a trip provided by our gray lines tour guide Danielo to Napa and Sonoma valleys in California.. The three wineries on the stop in Sonoma Square were all fantastic, and I learned so much about the region, wine, tastings, and pairings, and the extensive traditions and history of wine in California. I also met some great people from Australia and enjoyed spending the day with them, eating at a fantastic restaurant in Sonoma, and becoming acquainted with new friends. Blessed with an amazing weather is always a plus; however, I feel like our tour guide would have made the best of this even on a rainy day. Bravo!

Trish Shovlin: Wow! This was the such a wonderful tour. We had an excellent tour guide, Vlad. He had so much knowledge of.area and the history of the vineyards. I would highly recommend this to my friends and family. We should all take a minute to stop and smell the roses, and in this case take a minute to stop and taste some wine.

Allita Rodrigues: . Our driver, who also served as a knowledgeable guide, made the journey even more memorable by stopping after the Golden Gate Bridge for breathtaking photo opportunities. The combination of natural wonders and thoughtful details made this tour an absolute delight.

rolando martinez: Excellent choice of tour for Muir and Sausalito, very spacious and comfortable seats and the driver Heather is excellent, very friendly, I highly recommend it, on my next visit I want to go to Yosemite and I am going to hire this company 👍🏻😎

Brenda. H: Great tour! We took some older girl scouts and even with all the walking the girls were so engaged with our tour guide Andre they never complained. They all loved hearing the sights and stories of the city. We saw many great locations throughout the city and the food was amazing. It was not just samples but a full on multi course meal. I especially enjoyed the. Chinese tea tasting. I highly recommend this tour and would do it again.

Rich Goldberg: We had a great time doing the Chinatown food tour with Brian. He was knowledgeable, funny and engaging with everyone on the tour, including the 9yr old daughter of another guest. We tried a variety of pastries, dim sum, Peking Duck and lo mein at different establishments. So not really a “culinary” experience but enjoyable and yummy nevertheless. A highlight was a tea tasting with a very knowledgeable gentlemen who was both entertaining and informative. All in all a terrific afternoon. Plus the company was very thorough and proactive in its communication.

Dona Poole: Cynthia was a very informative and interesting guide. She took us to many unique places and tastings. The tea room and Betty Lou’s were 2 of our favorites. Plus the history and stories behind the restaurants and surroundings was a bonus.

Meggin Lanier: Great tour, got to learn really interesting history of the area and try food from several local hot spots. Brian was a great guide and I can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Alice: Tom and Scott are absolutely amazing! If you've traveled to or lived in San Francisco, this is where you'll learn about the amazing culture and art of what made San Francisco so special! Much loves and hope you have an amazing year! 💕

Erinne Wilkens: First off we won this tour in our local school auction. I respect any business that donates to education. Thank you Local Tastes. We are SF residents and booked the Chinatown Tour with our 2 kids ages 5 and 8. We loved it! Our tour guide was Isabella and she was great. She was super knowledgeable and funny. As a SF native, I even learned things about SF that I did not know. We made many stops along the way that made walking easy and enjoyable for the kids. Our favorite stops were the Buddhist Temple and tea tasting. It was such an enjoyable experience spending the afternoon in Chinatown. We can’t wait to book the north beach tour. I am definitely recommending to all our SF visitors when they ask for recommendations.

Emily R.: Had an excellent tour with Brian through Chinatown and little Italy. His knowledge, sense of humour, and love of the area created a unique and throughly enjoyable experience. Though the tour was only supposed to be 4hrs, we were touring for over 5 due to some bonus food "side quests". Worth every penny!

Ruth Blystone: This food tour was the best! I’ve been on several food tours throughout the world, and this was excellent. Our tour guide Brian was knowledgeable and humorous. We experienced many different tastes of the area and got a nice history too. Highly recommend this tour and looking forward to doing another with this company soon.

Sherri Schwartz: , and visited so many interesting places. The group was just big enough and sitting down together a few times for tea and 2 meals was a nice break for a chance to get to know fellow travelers. There happened to be a gentleman playing the Erhu on the street, and Andre ran over and asked him to play Happy Birthday which was such a treat! So glad of all the tours available we chose this one! We loved our time in SF and can't wait to come back. I HIGHLY recommend anyone traveling here to make this part of their trip!

Linda Olsen Davis: was full of great information and background of the city’s history and culinary delights. Since we were a small group he was able to add a few

Carmen Osborn: Andre was an amazing guide. He was able to keep all ages in our group engaged for over 3 hours, part of which was in the pouring rain! Book this tour if you want to experience what Chinatown in San Francisco is all about.

David: Fantastic experience with Brian! Really appreciated the effort he put in and all the fun stops.

William Stewart: This was beyond an amazing tour. Brian is a great and caring tour guide. His knowledge of San Francisco was a genuine joy to hear and coupled with his jokes and personal experience, made the tour one of the highlights of our trip.In terms of the food part of the tour, seriously come hungry. Everything was a joy to eat and YOU WILL WANT TO EAT IT ALL!! I personally bookmarked the places we went to on the tour so we could go back again. This is a must do!!!

Amy Brummet: We took the combined Chinatown and North Beach tour. It was full of good food and fun facts. Would recommend.

Sierra Helmuth: Isabella was amazing! Food was incredible!Make sure to come with an empty stomach, you will leave stuffed.

Jennifer Duda Butwinick: Absolutely the best way to spend your first full day in the city! Brian gave our tour 1000%; even my nine-year old remained enthusiastic the whole time! Although we'd lived in SF before, the tour gave us so many ideas for the rest of our trip. The tea tasting and sitting down for Peking Duck were our favorites. We had such a great time and went back and visited many of the places he took us to or mentioned. Price is beyond worth it. Thank you, Brian!

Arif Zaladin: Tour guide was great. The amount of food you get for the money is a crazy steal especially considering it’s San Fran. Loved learning about the history of Chinatown and North Beach. 11/10.

In fact, he's so knowledgeable I'm confident even locals would learn something from the tour. The tour is 3 hours but it doesn't feel like it because the tour guide is so engaging and entertaining the time passes quickly. Easily worth the 30 dollars. Just be sure to book in advanceAlso after the tour, Norton has great restaurant recommendations of what to eat in the area if you ask.

Coker: , and he waited for us to use the restroom after the tour but before he dropped those of us staying in Union Square back near our hotels.Boat tour:Pros:- Get right up to and under the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and Angel Island.- Bar and bathroom on boardCons:- Difficult to hear the audio

Cp. Juan José: Super good tour

Catherine Phillips: They need to have the cruise ship be specific about where we meet the bus, it delayed our tour for an hour. Other than that glitch the tour was very good.

Brandon Siracuse: .I chose to get off the bus in Sausalito after Muir Woods and grab some lunch and catch the ferry back to SF. Great experience overall. Just would recommend driving yourself to Muir Woods if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours there.

Noel Rivas (PV Smile): Stunning views of Adam Francisco Bay

Angela Coto Perez: Great Tour! Staff onsite were friendly and informative as well as our driver, Erika. The audio worked perfectly and was easy to understand. It’s helpful if you follow along with the map and route provided at the link. This is an excellent way to get around the city and see several of the more known sites in a day. I will absolutely use them again. Highly recommend!

Zette S: We had a great time!

Mattgruff: James was a great tour guide. Very informative and funny. The drive across the Golden Gate bridge was beautiful and Muir forest was amazing. We decided to take the ferry from Sausalito. All in all a wonderful trip.

Kennard Yu: I really enjoyed this experience, and our guide was also really friendly. He took us to places where the other tour buses usually won’t go to, such as the palace of Fine Arts and the Painted Ladies. It was a bit longer than I thought, but overall we got a nice tour of the city and had a good time.

Carlo C: Recommended service for those who have little time and want to see as much as possible. Very interesting is the fact that the audio guides tell the story of the buildings and the major activities of interest. Also convenient is the fact that they can be used for travel as if they were public transport. Very well structured service. Slightly high price
