lizzi sassman: . if you’re looking for some special elastic, they have it. i happened to go on a day they were having an extra 40% off their sale remnants and i lost my mind. so much good fabric for an amazing deal.
Alex Maier: , I got an apology and a refund of all the missing items about 5 hours after writing the email, so the customer service is very good. Also, the items I got are of really high quality, so I will shop there again and very much recommend them
Robert McLain: For 35 years this store has been on our "must see" list for every visit to San Francisco! They carry a wide selection of the finest fabrics, and provide excellent service and advice. Much of what they offer is expensive, but you will not find this sort of material in any retail fabric store. Over the years I've met many different sales people, and they have always been a pleasure to work with.Particularly when I've been there on my own, they've been very patient and helpful and guided me to a special fabric as a gift for my wife. Because the wools and linens they carry are of such high quality, she always loves working with them, and I get big points when I get back home!!
Owen Hawk: I came here with my Aunt and my Mom, and we got there right before it opened, as soon as they opened Douglas was there to greet us, and he walked us through different fabrics for the project I wanted to do. It was extremely fun to talk to all of the employees, and they all did an amazing job taking care of everybody, the fabrics were the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I can’t wait to work with the ones I bought on a collection for my fashion design class!
Christian Anthony: Loosen up my buttons babe. They gave a plethora of buttons. Very expensive in look but affordable for your wallet.
blythe beecroft: In the words of my mother, “This is an extraordinarily excellent fabric store.” The staff are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. It’s a beautiful place, even for someone who does not sew.
Kaitlin Tillett: This store is iconic! A must-visit when in SF. It is the place in the Bay Area for quality and unique fabrics, buttons, notions, etc. On top of their great selection, their staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. They answer my many questions and always point me in the right direction or show me something super special that they just got in. I can't recommend Britex enough.
Scott Frendel: I’m from New York where there are plenty of fabric stores, however, I purchased my fabric from Britex Fabrics in San Francisco. Their selection of fabrics is extensive and allows me to complete all my fabric creations. Their staff is courteous and knowledgeable and consumer friendly. And their service is unrivaled. I can’t say enough about Britex..
Krysten Connely: Incredible service and friendly family run business!
Alyssa Herdzik: and my muslin patterns. They talked with me, suggested various fabrics that fit my description, and correctly estimated how much I would need on their 60" bolts
A M: Pricey but nicey
Lucinda Williams: Great customer service, wide selection of high quality fabrics. You get what you pay for. This isn't a bargain outlet.

Jay Sterling Austin (V): The most varied basement warehouse of fabric gems you've never set foot in...certainly worth a visit!P.S. "sale" means nothing here. Wait for a semi-annual quarterly Mega-Sale...or "actual sale" as we call them 😇
Ross Cato: such a sweet and kind staff. I love it here.
AngelicBaby: They have so much great fashion fabric and a variety of other types. I was able to find fabrics here that I couldn't find in other places like Jo-Ann's or Michaels. I'm really grateful for this place. The staff are also very kind and patient.
Mindia Mindia: My favorite fabric spot right in my neighborhood. You can get any fabric you want. Excellent staff and a variety of colors and options. Thanks to the staff for an excellent service
Roxane Noël: First time going in today and what an amazing discovery! Great fabric selection at very good prices, the button selection was on the smaller side for the size of the store, but the variety of fabrics and trims more than makes up for it.
Renee Rothmann: Greatest fabric store- so many knits, sparkles, wools, cottons- if you can imagine it, they have it. Staff is the best
Maria McDonald: Love the selection and the knowledgeable staff. My go-to place for fabrics.
Kim Hart: I love this spot! It is absolutely my go-to for all my fabric and sewing needs. I’ve recently taken up quilting and the staff are so knowledgeable about all aspects of fabric work – even quilting! The choice is absolutely formidable, and I can spend ages browsing as they’ve got so much fun stuff! And they often have sales too – you can always find a bargain here. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Mercedes Jones: Today after a few years since I visited this store, and after walking four blocks, I finally came to this wonderful place, found what I was looking for and the sales personnel was so helpful and very nice!!!Great place to shop for fabric and sewing needs!!!
dave o: Lots of good and unique fabric here...Love that store.
Duane: Awesome staff, friendly, courteous and a huge selection of materials and all the embellishments you'd ever need... did I mention prices are the best
Eric Murillo: Great fabric store in the Mission. Nice selection at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend if youre in the city.

Reo Francois: Good products
Jason Gates: Great Place! I’m so sad to hear this place is closing Permanently! It’s the Last Pottery Barn in the city what a disappointment.
Brian Obertone: I was looking for a large sectional couch online and by chance got to chat with Sasha, the assistant man., of the San Fran store. He was not only very knowledgeable about the product lines but he called me back immediately after I made a mistake in the design. He canceled the order and made sure the new one was 100% correct and was cordial the entire time. I would highly recommend this store to anyone that wants exceptional care.
MARTHA TORPEY: Of course my favorite expensive store.
Harold Mosby: I visit Chestnut Street whenever I'm in San Francisco visiting a friend. Pottery Barn is a few doors down from Le Marais, our favorite breakfast spot on Chestnut. After breakfast we'll walk to Pottery Barn to check things out. On our past visit we were looking to refurnish an apartment. We didn't ask for help, but noticed a young man moving around the store greeting visitors and making himself available. He looked awfully young, like maybe he was a college student collecting some extra hours. The following morning I realized that I had forgotten to take a picture of a white sofa we were interested in. We returned to the Pottery Barn again to check it out in greater detail. This time the same young man approached us and a conversation developed. We found out later he was actually Pottery Barn's General Manager. His name is Austin Stephenson. The questions we asked required a thorough knowledge of finishes, fabrics, lighting fixtures, sofas, chairs, end tables and lead times. Austin answered every question to our satisfaction without hesitation. We spent some time looking at images on the Design Center computer. It was a very positive experience. Austin printed out an estimate of the products we were interested in purchasing before we left. If you want to see, touch, feel and experience excellence in both products and presentation, and the way you're treated, the Pottery Barn on Chestnut delivers. If you see someone who looks too young to be on staff, that will probably be Austin. I'll include some photos of our visit. One, or more of them might feature Austin. He looks like he loves his job, his merchandise, his store and most importantly, his customers. We're fans.
Kelli McKinnon: Great visit hands down and I have to say the store hasn't been running very well In the last couple of years. Turns out they have a new manager and he's all for the people and service. It's soMuch more inviting! The employees are just on it it's incredible! The new general manager they have is definitely over qualified in my professional opinion but he's so good!!! The experience I just experienced was out of this world!! Great Way to turn it around pottery barn!
Ken Wong: 12-20-20:Open during the shelter in place! Very friendly workers! Thanks for being open and very diligent about safety.

Noe de la Cruz: I love coming to the store - great designs, price, quality. My one complaint is that the closing time feels too abrupt; they dont give 30 min heads up that the store is going to close instead they announce that the store has closed and employees dont want to help out if you have any outstanding questions. As a case in point, we went to buy a rug and says that there was two left in stock, we could not find them and when we asked for help they said stored is now closed. If Ikia staff is going to completely stop helping anyone at 8pm sharp, then Ikea should close their doors at 7pm-7:30pm or earlier to give enough time to go through the store for the last customers entering the store
Kan Fu: Same IKEA standard and quality and friendliness, and overall feels bigger and more spacious than the East Palo Alto store.
jose losa: A classic
Robert Birner: Swedish meatballs don't miss & The Gravy too!
Ty Dyce: Still great products and prices!
Deborah M: I have been going here since they first opened and have seen changes good and not so good. But I will always go here. This is my place. Some days you can fine helpful people , and then the are those that are rude . But like I said this is my store. My recent visit was great.
Hugo Pelland: What you expect from an IKEA! One new thing on my last visit that I particularly appreciated was the easy pickup after ordering online. I parked, texted, and the box arrived within 5 minutes to my car. It was quite late, a few minutes before closing, so not crowded at all, which probably helped...
Barbara S: Ordered online, had to return items and the return process was a snap, easy peasy.
Joseph Morris: Seems weird to come to a furniture store for dinner, but it's good!
