Alicia DiGiammarino: Our friends have been here many times and wanted to go again before moving out of SF. I don’t always love Tapas but have to agree it’s pretty good! I was especially impressed by the friendly, welcoming service and the Paella Verduras. Also good: patatas bravas, manchego flambeado, tortilla a la española, flan and bread pudding.Recommended dishes Patatas Bravas, Bread Pudding w Vanilla Ice Cream, Paella a La Marinera …

Trace Henley: It was pricey, but I can truly say it was worth every penny. The people were kind, helpful, and friendly. The food was phenomenal. The ambience was both joyful and romantic. The only problem I had was that it was too good and too much, and we couldn't possibly eat everything we ordered!

Maddie Raiché: The food was delectable. I can’t wait to go back and take family and friends. It’s also so cozy and comfortable to dine at.

Tim Wang: The best paella in SF. I studied abroad in Valencia and outside of Valencia, this is the best paella I’ve had. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. The appetizers and sangria were also terrific. A+ friendly service as well.Recommended dishes …

Erfan Karimian: I had an exceptional dining experience at Bellota Restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a stylish and modern decor that set the tone for a memorable night. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with our server taking the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food - every dish was expertly prepared and presented, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The highlight was the paella, which was cooked to perfection and full of savory goodness. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the commitment to using high-quality ingredients. Bellota Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food and a lively atmosphere. Five stars and I can't wait to go back!

Sonal Panda: which caught me by surprise - I wasn’t planning on eating potatoes but they were too good to resist! Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, they paired really well with the dip.The Bellota and Gambas were a tie for me - interesting and good, but not outstanding. The jamon of the Bellota was enhanced with the pan con tomate, while the olive oil and orange garlic sauce of the Gambas helped the prawns - otherwise just ok by themselves - standout. In the paella, the lechon was really rich and juicy, though we were a bit disappointed with just two pieces of pork belly. The mariscos by comparison fell short for our liking, lacking enough flavor in the rice.Overall the experience was great - good ambience with live music, and attentive service. I would recommend checking out this place at least once, though I probably wouldn’t come back for another visit in the near future.Dietary restrictions: Great for anyone who is dairy-free

Stan J: .2024 update: Back again after another Carnival Parade on Mission. Ordered the tapas: fried potatoes

Jewel Swanson: A really great tapas place, and one of the hest happy hours in the city. 15 dollars for a nice carafe of sangria, dollar oysters, and more. I always order the patatas bravas and spanish omelette, love their fish, their paella is really decent and great for the price, and almost every dish I have had aside from that has been great, especially the stews. Perfect for groups, large and small, dates, friendly get togethers, and any other time.you want affordable and good food and drink.

Ma Xuxu: Love this super Inexpensive Tapas Pl., Customer Service is great. It’s super cute and decorated inside. I like to order a lot of different plates They have lobster tail for $10.The spicy sauce it’s delicious. I order extra and I eat everything with it.Parking: Have to be patient and look for parking. All street parking is paid.

Sandra Salmeron: Very delicious food and attention

Andrew Song: Great food. Fresh and clean oysters. Crispy potatoes. Yummy bread. Super good marinated trout. Delicious artichokes. Fire oxtail. Everything is fye. Matt Easton: and Pulpo

Jenny Vereschagin: . I tried a vermouth and it was very similar to the flavor I enjoyed in Spain. My husband had a Spanish red wine

Aaron: ! Also if you lean vegetarian there are loads of amazing options.Kid-friendliness: It’s mostly adults but we’ve brought our kids and they were great with them. I’d stay in the earlier side because it can get busy later on.

Michelle Barnes: Visited to celebrate my mom's birthday. We made a reservation on a Sunday at 6:30pm via Opentable for their paella and tapas pre-fixe menu, which includes a paella for the table, 2 tapas, and 1 dessert per person. We opted for the mixed seafood and chorizo paella and they were able to accommodate my mom's request for no oysters in the paella. They started us off with the Spanish cheese tasting, which included 3 varieties of cheese that were nicely proportioned so each of us got to try a slice of each. For the tapas, we opted for patatas bravos, jamon croquettes, tortilla espanola, and stuffed piquilo peppers. I also ordered a sangria, which was a pretty small portion for the price. The tapas were all quite good and by the time the paella arrived we were already pretty well fed. For dessert we got the chocolate olive oil almond cake, which was a very thin layer of cake covered with tons of shaved coconut and the tres leches pumpkin bread pudding, which was unique but not a personal favorite. While I quite liked the cheese and tapas, the paella and desserts were just all right

Jenny Xu: I came here with a group of 10 and this place was great for a group dinner - the table was pre heated and the table was outside at a private event!Good:- Great tapas style place- We got a bottle of white wine as well to go with our dishes and they poured it all out really nicely for us- My favorite tapas were the pulpo, the meatballs, the bacon wrapped dates, and the empanadasBad:- The wait times were long between some of the initial dishes, but then got quicker over time which was good!- The service was slow to come outside to help- The shishito peppers were way too spicy!Overall, what a fun place to take a big group, and festive!

Test Test: Food: 4/5

Teddi Carbonneau: We had a wonderful evening at this bistro. The service was very friendly and it had a fun and funky ambiance. I lived in Spain for a few years and love good tapas. B44 did not disappoint. We shared a salad along with sizzling gambas ajillo and patatas bravas. They served bread to dip into the hot shrimp and garlic oil. I had the crema Catlana for dessert, and it was the best I have ever had. The caramelized sugar crust and creamy custard had just a hint of orange.

A K: restaurant. Wines were mostly from Spain or France

Megan McDonald: DELICIOUS! Literally everything we ordered was devoured and we thought we over ordered! The ham and cheese croquettes were a tie for my favorite with the churros and sangria 😱😍Music was great, service was fabulous, and everything tasted so so good!We had a table that was somehow in the middle of the room but felt sequestered thanks to the layout and placement of curtains throughout the space. 👌We had a reservation which I definitely recommend for parties 2 if you’re time constrained!

Angelica SF: My husband and I went here for a Friday night dinner. We did reserve online on the same day. I think we were lucky since most folks were probably out of town.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service was superb and they were very attentive. We ordered dessert wine and I didn’t like mine. I usually wouldn’t say it but the owner asked. He replaced my drink and it was delicious 👌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food was good too! We ordered the paella negra, crab croquette, and basque cheesecake. I expected a bit more with the cheesecake, but it tasted like a normal one. Not the Basque style but still good.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ambiance was great. We liked the music played and it felt intimate. There were families dining as well.

Hamilton Foster: Solid

Margaret and Kevin B: were sat at the same time as three larger parties

Jean-Marc Ly: Delicious cocktails here, made by the lovely Sophie. Worth drinking here. Great crew.Service: 5/5 …

Nicole Lokey: Honestly this was a bit of a disappointment. The atmosphere was extremely noisy, the service for a party of 12 spending a lot of money was not impressive and the food was mediocre. Steak was hard to chew, fish was overcooked, and dessert was marginal. The highlight was the brussel sprouts. With so many other choices in the area I would pass on this one.

Robert Wu: . The Brussels sprouts and crab dip are a 5 for me.I personally really enjoyed the paella since I enjoy my paella with meats, but flavor wise, it wasn’t one of the top tier paella I’ve had. Pork chop and lamb were nice

Tareq Barakzoy: A friend recommended, having lunch and we showed up here and out without reservation. We were probably seated. The decor is classy and truly Mediterranean with elements of architecture built into this modern concrete structure. The entrance with the mosaic of stonework is beautiful. We were going to have dinner, so I went for a late lunch and I ordered the Fattoush salad, which comes with lemon vinaigretteand sumac. For protein I chose falafel which served were hot and crispy. It was an excellent salad, but because I was working, I avoided having a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which will perfectly match with this combination of citrus sumac, vegetables and falafel.

Nadia Wit: I made my reservation a month ahead of time for my darling's Birthday. He is a picky chef who loves good food and I love movies-- We arrived and the host was very kind and accomodating. He had a bday card ready to go!!! The waitress was lovely and when I ordered the Ahi she made sure to let me know that there is a beef jus on it and that it was optional! Thank goodness as I wouldn't have known this and I do not eat beef. It was delightful. The oysters and lavender cheese dish were also fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. I am really happy I chose this place for a bday and look forward to coming back for the next occasion.

Marc Hebert: Attended a special private event...wonderful atmosphere, tasty appetizers, great serviceParking: Big parking garage a block away

Mark E: The ambiance of the space was delightful, characterized by high ceilings and generously sized tables that provided ample comfort and space to savor our meal. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining options, the outdoor area featured a portion shielded by plastic, ensuring protection from the elements. Additionally, a second-floor dining room overlooking the main indoor area seemed reserved for private functions. The cuisine impressed with its excellence and visually appealing presentation. Service was both friendly and attentive, and portion sizes were fitting for a fine dining experience. An added charm was the outdoor movie screenings against the establishment's wall, which lent its name. Highly recommended.

Sunita Wassan: We spent a long time trying to find tapas for dinner and we decided on this place- we made the best decision! The food was incredibly flavorful and delicious. By far some of the best tapas we have ever had. We were sat in the back room which was absolutely beautiful transporting us all the way to Spain with a quiet and cozy ambiance. We would highly recommend the chicken and potato soup, oysters, and gambas. Cocktails were equally as incredible! The service was beyond impeccable as well. When we are back in SF we will definitely be returning!

Brad Andrews: Delicious, up-to-date Spanish food and drinks with a friendly atmosphere. Great neighborhood vibe.

Sinem Altunbas: We had an amazing experience at Abrazo with our friends! We tried a lot of tapas and all of them were simply delicious. I would particularly recommend the charred octopus, croquetas, albondigas, and gambas. The paella was exceptional, it was one of the best I have ever had in the States. I enjoyed my Rioja a lot. The restaurant had a very lovely vibe and it reminded me of the restaurants in Madrid. The people were kind and the service was excellent. So, I would recommend Abraza to anyone around.

Grace K: were all delicious and perfect to share. We also split the roasted chicken and paella entrees, both of which were delicious. The cocktails were excellent thanks to Johnny at the bar, and the wine list was also excellent. The service was wonderful and the food came out in a steady but relaxing cadence so we could fully enjoy the meal.

Roberta D'Anneo: . One of his many talents. He also enjoyed his meal 🤤

S S: Abrazo is a lovely gem in Russian Hill. The hospitality is warm and inviting, the service is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is absolutely incredible. As a party of 5 we were able to sample much of the inspired menu and all of it was outstanding, from the meatballs and croquettes to the steak and pasta to the lovely array of desserts. The stand out for me was the NY strip, so beautifully prepared and the pear gelato which was out of this world. I’ll be dreaming about the meal we had there for days to come.

Mario Dos Campollo: Cool Spanish joint in Russian Hill. A very tasty tapas spot with an even better drink menu. To start off, they had a beautiful meat and cheese board. The garlic shrimp probably the best item they have, was heavenly. The oysters were very fresh and of good quality. They had some delicious desserts as well. I always go with a flan if they have it. I do wish the octopus was a bit better, it let a lot left to be desired. The service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Abrazo is also a perfect spot for an intimate date, a family gathering or a special occasion.Dos shrimps up 🍤🍤

Vincent Chan: Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Truly Mediterranean yet as this place is my go-to for lunch. Mediterranean combo plate is OP and the guys behind the counter hook it up. Baba ganoush has excellent flavor. Super generous portions. Lentil soup is usually ready by noon but definitely something I look forward to when eating here.

moe al yousef: Good food and good customer service
