Shiva N: Came here randomly on a day when they had brunch on a Saturday. It’s lunch foods plus bottomless mimosas. They had a very wide selection of foods that were made very well. Everyone in your group will find something they like. Also the fresh naan is amazing ! The food was high quality and tasty. They had both vegetarian and meat options. They also had lots of desserts and chai as well. The environment feels upscale but relaxed. The service is great. Servers check on you frequently but in a subtle and slick way, not overbearing or annoying.

Robert Sirchia: Ok so the food was good. It’s Indian so you can never say it’s traditional because someone will disagree and argue.Atmosphere here was ok it felt like a modern 80’s restaurant. Nothing wrong with that just making the observation.Let’s take a moment and talk about the staff. Freaking spot on amazing. They were all over us and we didn’t even notice. They make the experience here as good as it is. Not sure if the owners read these reviews but take care of your staff they make Amber what it is.Bottom line go and enjoy this gem in the Bay Area.

Аlisa Paludeti: Went there on Saturday evening and got a table instantly. It got busy around 8pm so probably it’s better to use reservation, especially for bigger parties. The place is very spacious, has several large areas and all of them are very cosy and intimate.I liked the menu, as it wasn’t too large and it was pretty easy to find what you’re in the mood for and make an order. We went with Tandoori Chicken, Malabari shrimp and Garden collage from tandoori. All the dishes were delicious and the presentation was great too.The service was also good. We had our water refilled without having to ask and our waiters were knowledgeable and friendly.I’m definitely putting this place to my to-go list for Indian food and can recommend it for cosy dining experience in SF downtown.

Ishita Gupta: . He also got aloo paratha without hot spice for our son. And we ordered chicken korma which was superb. All the dishes tasted great. The naan was very soft and so were the parathas. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and has a pleasant vibe to it. It's very homely with good food and great hospitality. Highly recommended!Dietary restrictions: They adjusted dal makhani and bhindi masala to be without onion and garlic.

Snigdha Agarwal: Pretty decent "malai kofta" and well made "onion kulcha". "Samosa" was great too.Didn't like so much: lemonade which was way too sweet, and the service which was kind of inattentive

Sean Warren: Ordered delivery and it was still so hot when I got it, it was burning my mouth. I couldn't resist because it was so amazingly flavorful. The Garlic Naan was great, too, somewhat chewy but fully cooked.Vegetarian options: Indian food is always a great choice for vegetarians!

Julia Moser: The food was super tasty, especially the great naan 😍 It was served after about 15 minutes and everything was super hot. Prices are totally okay. I paid around $23 for the main course and the garlic naan.Vegetarian options: There were many vegetarian dishes. Every vegetarian will find something tasty there.

Inspector Clueso from the pink panther: Delightful atmosphere. Service astoundingly top notch. Alwin was our server. Hes great. Two more staff members came out to greet us and check on us!!!! Food - so freaking good!!!! I’ve had Indian but this was more than expected (coming from a food critic and my mother a chef: had the Paingan Pakora ….was awesome. Truly a delightful change from bread batter! It’s chickpeas for the batter!! Slightly crispy on outside leaving the eggplant moist n perfect on the inside. The three sauces; one mint, one spicey and one sweet. Kashmiri chicken was a Juicey yet creamy n spicy tikka sauce; it complimented beautifully with the jeera byrani!!!! Naan - spinach naan ….good choice ! Gulab Jamun - sweet finale to the spicey Indian flavours …..you will be happy you tried Om Indian Cuisine as your restaurant choice for the day/night.Incredibly filling n reasonably priced!!!!!Christopher Moen and Deborah Moen

Oliver Thompson: Came into eat dinner with my partner and we had excellent and quick service. We got spicy chicken vindaloo and butter chicken and it was bomb as hell. The people there are very nice.Would recommend if you’re in the Haight.

Dave Lonkani: at Roti is exceptional, start with the plain to get a taste before you venture down the flavors... you won't be disappointed. Lamb vindaloo was flavorful and the kids loved the chicken Tikka masala as their gateway to Indian cuisine. If you can stand the heat, the owner informed us that you can up the heat level in a few degrees from the menu to include authentic India hot

Hugh Do: The food was very good and the service was red carpet. We arrived at 5pm on Sunday and did not have reservation and did not have to wait. The server, the owner. He was very good of taking care of our party of 8.We ordered, calamari pretty good. Bengan pakoras, deep fried egg plant, actually pretty good. The bread basket, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, machi masala, tandoori prawns, mixed seafood and also ordered two rice. Just right for 8 ppl. Sorry, forgotten to take pictures. This is our third times coming here.Must try the machchi masal, salmon very good. One of the best. The 2nd one is chicken tikka masala. The place was super busy and the owner told us no need to rush and we had brought in the cake.If you want good Indian food and great service. You need to try this restaurant. Make reservations if you have a large party.Black coffee was fresh and very good.Kid-friendliness: Great service and very kid friendly.

Jeevan Kumar Ramanujakootam: During our recent trip to San Francisco, we had the pleasure of dining at Athidi Indian Restaurant and were thoroughly impressed by the authentic South Indian cuisine. The biryani was flavorful, the pakodi perfectly crispy, and the dosas were just the right mix of soft and crisp. Not to forget, the masala chaas was a refreshing complement to our meal. Portions were generously sized, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Hats off to the team at Athidi for their fantastic work!Vegetarian options: Vijayawada Paneer Biryani

Ankit Shrivastava: This is one of the best modern Indian restaurants I’ve been too. All the dishes were amazing but Garlic Naan took the cake, I could just have it by itself. The chef has managed to create dishes with familiar taste but in a different manner which is commendable.Vegetarian options: All the dishes are vegetarian.

Kumar Viswanath: We went here to celebrate a birthday. Location is excellent, just off the Caesar Chavez exit from the 280 and parking was easy on the weekend. Restaurant has an industrial vibe and was packed at 7.00 PM.First impressions count and the restaurant could use with a more welcoming host. The current elderly host seemed almost grumpy and annoyed before bringing us to the table and left.Service was slow and took around 10 mins to get attention. But that gave us time to be ready with the order and we did not want to risk staggering the drinks, appetizers etc. We had the kandvi, dabeli paratha, drunken puri and dahi wada all of which were pretty good. The kandvi could have used a side of green chutney which is strangely not included and you need to pay for. I had the @patels cocktail which was decent but maybe a touch too sweet for me. For the Mains we had Masaka Paneer Spinach, stuffed paratha, ringan no oro and my son got the Meatball vindaloo which turned out to be vegan and plant based and turned out to be the best among the entrees. The Entrees were good but nothing special. Overall our feeling was that this is a fun restaurant from an ambiance and food presentation perspective but falls short on flavors. With the mandatory 20% tip and 5% SF ordinance tax expect to pay upwards of $75- $90 per person.

Akshit Arora (अक्षित अरोड़ा): perhaps the only vegan indian fine dining place in bay area! best service and food ❤️❤️❤️❤️Dietary restrictions: vegan options available!

Kiran Singh: vindaloo meatballs.Chutney & pickles- a great sampler of different flavors of sweet, tangy, & spicy.Khasta- stuffed pooris were a burst of flavor. Really liked this one.Mooli salad -

Audry R: We were walkins for the bar on a saturday night. We got there around 7pm and were seated around 8:15It was all so so delicious, one of the best meals I've had in San Francisco. The atmosphere had alot of families and celebrations, and the open kitchen is cool.We thought the food was amazing. We ordered 2 smaller dishes, 2 entrees, roti, rice, and the amazing naan, also 3 chutneys and a glass of wine. We were stuffed. It was $185 total for 2 people.I highly recommend this restaurant if you're interested in amazing food and that's what you're looking for in a meal.

Yashash Gaurav: was malai kofta. We ended up thanking the chef for the spread. And with that I shall start saving for my next tasting menu now lol.Recommended?: Hell Yes.

Josh Frazier: I honestly have to say this is one of the best places I've ever been they're super inexpensive I was homeless and used to come here a lot when I was able to with my service animal and they treated me with such kindness and generosity I moved away two years ago but will be moving back and this will be the first restaurant I go and visit when I move back at the end of April 2024! Super excited to see the new renovations!

Daniela Lopez Rosado: All delicious!!We had not tried Indian food and we loved it

Stephanie Carter: The food was delicious and full of flavor! We got the Chicken Tikka Masala meal and Chicken Tikka Boti with a side of rice and garlic naan. The flavor of all the items was definitely 5/5. They had the best garlic naan I have ever had. It was well cooked and the perfect amount of garlic and puffiness. Dipping it in the sauce, lentils, and Raita was my favorite part. The Chicken Tikka Boti had a great taste as well and was presented on a little sizzling skillet. Overall food presentation was nice and fitting with the general atmosphere.Service was phenomenal as well!My single critique relates to the portion sizes. You get little chicken for the cost. Even removing the cost factor, I wish the standard portion size was just a little larger since the food was SO GOOD.Would 100% come back. Also, for the soda drinkers, just a heads up that the soda is offered as cans.

Tor Jørgen Verås: The chicken tikka masala is very tasty. I came here twice in a week for this dish. What I find strange is that rice is a side order at $4. The tikka masala would simply be a few pieces of chicken drowned in sauce without the rice.

אביב קלי: Great !

rozina butt: Great food! I’m so excited they just opened! I doordashed naan and palak paneer 👌🏼👌🏼 YUMM!! So affordable and convenient for me! Thank you!

Sarah W: AMAZING CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA.It is a MUST! I’ve never had any CTM that was not too oily and the sauce was rich, thick and creamy! Perfect consistency for me!

Johnny Ross: We had the chicken tikka masala. Best CTM I've ever had. The sauce was thick and not water d down like the other places I've tried and you could taste the flavor without being overwhelmed.

Andy Lowry: Full belly, happy belly! We wandered around and came across this little gem. The building above was under construction so we almost missed it but I'm so glad we didn't. The food was well prepared, beautifully spiced and served quickly. Not expensive, enough to share and absolutely delicious. Will come here again!

Rajvizithi singh: This place is fancy and great for dinner. I have visited there twice for dinner. Their dahi puri and chilli cheese kulcha is my favourite. I didn’t like paneer pinwheel though. The gravy in butter chicken and paneer was same and I wasn’t expecting that. Overall nice ambiance.Vegetarian options: There’s less vegetarian options. I didn’t like what they had in veg main course.

R “RR”: Grateful to have this place pop up only blocks away from where we live. I’ll start out with my favorites, the tacos, they are out of this world with seasoning, unique flavors, savory meats yet not oily. However, every dish we’ve had has been full of flavor, be it the deceptively simple nan bread to the main course meal. Clearly, everyone has different preferences, however, I have loved everything I tried in the menu, which is exceptionally rare for me. We’ve always been lucky with I just walk in but it does get busy. Definitely try this place if you live unique flavors and everything done exceptionally well.

Renee Cohen: The samosas were big, crispy and delicious. The chicken tikka was delicious! The ice tea was so different and refreshing. Jelsun our server was friendly and professional. It's a great, cute local place.

allison whitten: . From the Papadam and chutneys offered complimentary

Ralph Edwards: , somosas, saag paneer, lamb korma, and butter and garlic naan. Everything, start to finish, was excellent. The best Northern Indian meal we've ever had. The service was exemplary. Another sign that the restaurant is very popular with locals was the many pickups for take-out. The only reason I rated the atmosphere at four starts was because the restaurant was just a bit noisy for my old ears. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience for a very reasonable price, and look forward to our next meal at Royal Indian Cuisine.

Carlin DeCato: Solid , traditional menu. Attentive, efficient, friendly table service. Can customize the spice heat level - which is always super helpful. They offer zero beer which always goes well with East Indian meals. The papadam was perfectly done and arrived at the right timing. There are other larger , high ambiance Indian options in the area but when you don’t have time for a long wait or need a place where you can more easily converse with a friend without fighting the buzz of a large high energy dining room , this is a really great option I can readily recommend. Would return any day and look forward to trying more of the menu.

Caleb Sirak: Royal Indian Cuisine offers a delightful surprise for those who may be hesitant to try something new. Initially skeptical, I found myself completely charmed with just one bite. The menu boasts a variety of traditional dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors that are both rich and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with decor that beautifully reflects the cultural heritage of India. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is its exceptional service. The staff are not only attentive but genuinely kind, going out of their way to ensure every guest feels special and valued. This amazing service, combined with the exquisite food, makes for a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're a longtime lover of Indian cuisine or a newcomer, Royal Indian Cuisine promises a culinary adventure that's sure to delight.

joanna bradley: The food was really good. We went on a Tuesday night and got the butter chicken, saag paneer and naan. It was a cozy, small and on a fun busy street.I believe our servers name was Jensen. He was so sweet and accommodating and valued our opinion of the food. We definitely will be back-the food is great and the service is so kind which is rare these days.

Mark Swanson: Jackson was sensational as a host and the food was beyond delicious. Excellent service, the food was fresh, hot and tasty. I recommend the saag paneer, the vindaloo, the butter chicken and loved the large variety of Naan. This place is a gem. The new generation door dashers and Google eaters are missing out by not enjoying a sit down meal in this awesome and authentic restaurant.
