Jim Scott: Always great food and drinks, exceptional service, and great views of the ferry harbor. Our server, Jim, is a real pro - on top of his game. The house barrel aged old fashioned is always a must have. We've been there several times and have never had anything less than fantastic.

Taha Zaidi: Went here with colleagues due to its reputation as a great seafood spot and we were not disappointed. It was pretty full when we got there and in hindsight we should have reserved ahead of time. Overall, the place has a nice ambience and view of the bay.I had the pistachio encrusted Alaskan Haddock and my colleague had the pan seared Alaskan Cod as mains. The Haddock was done perfectly and the crust gave it a unique texture. Although my colleague was not really into seafood, he was also impressed by the cod. Our server was very helpful and kept checking up on us. Would recommend as a solid seafood option.

Kartier: A stellar, luxurious experience. High class and fine dining at its best. Quince has retained a coveted 3 Michelin stars for several years, so expectations here are high. With that being said, service started very slow right off the bat. It took us about 5-10 minutes to be greeted, which is a long time considering how much you pay here.Nonetheless, the prix fixe was fabulous. Dishes were beautifully curated and bursting with flavor. You really get to know the head chef with his unique approach to using fresh, California vegetables. The asparagus in a hot water kettle is a must experience dish, the best asparagus of my life and it’s served with a fried hard-boiled egg portion.Be sure to try cocktails or wine. We were delighted that they were able to make a Quince martini that we enjoyed on a previous visit. Overall, I’m glad we tried! Very different from a New York 3 star Michelin restaurant - plus they send you off with hot coco and bonbons.Cons: the 22% service charge along with SF fee’s are quite obnoxious. This restaurant has higher service charges and fees than any other Michelin star restaurant in the country…but I’m not sure it’s reflected in the service as it could be fine tuned.

Andy Woo: ."Downgrading" to average 4 stars. I tried to be very objective and not let the 6 star experience from 5 years ago affect or unreasonably set my expectations too high that any imperfections would be blown out of proportion. The food was excellent. But there were minor subtle things. The service was great. But there were minor subtle things. The atmosphere was not on par to previous to the renovation.Food: excellent food. Minor: one of the asparagus dishes. The main asparagus served from the infusion glass pot was slightly over cooked.Service: The principal server was great. Professional, polite, friendly. One of the non-principal servers

David Shou: Very elegant and classical French dinner. The food was not bad, two appetizers were amazing, risotto and oyster with caviar. Only flaw is the oyster dish contains flakes of oyster shell which is very painful in the mouth. The scallop main course is good but the sweet potato portion was too huge, which seems to be overpowering the existence of the scallop. The lamb dish was ok, not impressive. Cheese course amazing, huge portion as well.Several complains about the service:1. We both order 4-course tasting menu and asked for a dessert come together with the cheese course and the other two dessert to be served later. However, all the desserts are served at once alongside the cheese, so I had to stop eating cheese and to save the ice creams from melting. TOOOO overwhelming.2. After the desserts, there was a really long gap for at least thirty minutes before someone came to talk to us. He asked if anything more could be offered, but I know there is more petit fours coming up so I said if there is anything more coming up. The waiting is a little bit too long.Good thing about the service:1. A huge thanks to the maitre d' for arranging us a romantic corner table.2. Everyone was polite and gentle.

saves “Febe” Spaces: Good

Randa Seif: and it’s good portions!Cocktails are good too! Desserts are tasty! They gave us extra desert and couple to go!Good food options for kids if they don’t eat what is on the menu. It’s pricey but totally worth it!I highly recommend you book well in advance. We booked a month ahead and barely found a spot!

Amy Guan: and the service is second to none - Michael delivered the best service possible and I’d definitely want to come back over and over again!

Sayana: If you're a seafood lover in San Francisco, Sotto Mare is an absolute must-visit. This unassuming gem tucked away in North Beach delivers an unforgettable seafood experience that will leave your taste buds singing. The cioppino is simply the best I've ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful, brimming with a medley of fresh seafood – Dungeness crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and fish – all cooked to perfection. Every spoonful is a symphony of flavors that will transport you straight to seafood heaven. But the culinary delights don't stop there. The Sanddab is also must-try, cooked to perfection, very light and delicious. Sotto Mare's oyster shooters are a revelation. The plump, briny oysters are perfectly complemented by the zesty cocktail sauce, creating a delightful explosion of taste that's both refreshing and invigorating. It's the perfect appetizer to kick off your seafood feast. The service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively and convivial.Must visit!

Kanishka Seth: Nothing less than promised. Super service, great wine selection and delicious food. I didn’t think much of the restaurant decor, and to be fair, it was a bit underwhelming. Restaurants of this quality usually have lavish set ups and better artwork. We were fortunate to have tried Chef Seth’s ‘A tasting of vegetables’ menu. Highlights included the truffle risotto, and the kohlrabi mains. Absolutely spectacular and so flavourful. Desserts were underwhelming. The restaurant does not have a parking lot, which was also surprising, but there’s a safe-ish looking garage across the street. Pretty good overall, wonderful experience and would go back to try another feature vegetarian menu.

D Gonzales: . They really are better than some of the 3 Michelin star restaurants in the city.Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate a dietary restriction but don’t go crazy!

Christopher Barnum-Dann: Absolutely stunning restaurant. Don't sleep on this amazing place. Food was so well thought out and compelling. Balanced and perfectly executed. Service was so warm and kind and such great descriptions. Pairings were amazing, and that is very rare. Raphael was amazing.Such an all-around experience.

Chef Chris Barnum-Dann: Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was extremely delicious, well executed, beautiful, and served at the perfect temperature. My highlights were the signature rigatoni, quail, lobster, caviar course, and the desserts! The service was beyond exceptional as well. Everyone not only cared for me impeccably, they had great energy between each other. This gives way to a wonderful experience that leaves you wanting to go back.Lastly, the wine pairings! Most of my experiences with wine pairings are not meaningful and don't actually pair well with the dish.Raphael was not only an extremely knowledgeable and professional sommelier. He loves wine! I found most of all the wines paired incredibly well and he explained not only the bottle but WHY the pairing worked.Incredible nightLiterally can't wait to go back.

Sara Stafford: saffron rigatoni and stracciatella were standouts!

Antonette Dehaney: I was on the road and desperate for a great meal. I stopped in San Francisco and simply searched for American cuisine.Be sure to book reservations if you are new to town and plan ahead. The host was incredibly kind. I walked up and BEGGED for a table. They had a small spot at the bar and I took it. I typically wait for a table but since I was tired and starving I took it with zero expectations.I had the bolognese. It was incredible. So meaty and flavorful. I think I had more fun watching the bartenders make gorgeous cocktails that kept crossing my path.I ended up having chocolate chip cookies for desert. I didn’t get to hang out and people watch like I typically do. I’ll certainly return with more planning next time to truly enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. What a gem of a place!!

Kaitlyn Newman: Wow. Went here late in the evening after a long day. The service was amazing. The restaurant had a very high scale look so we were pleasantly surprised with the authenticity of the wait staff. Portions were bigger than I was expecting for the low price and the free bread was a wonderful treat. The cook on the steak was perfect. Only after did I learn that this facility is used for training members of the Delancey Street Foundation. What a special place.

jasmine: the food is great, portion size is huge for the cost. Value for money. I really like their mission that they are giving second chance to people who are trying to become a contributing members of the society. Great cause! keep it up.Vegetarian options: sandwich, salad and burgers

Pamela Vong: Solid comfort food at very reasonable prices.

Nadia Wit: I made my reservation a month ahead of time for my darling's Birthday. He is a picky chef who loves good food and I love movies-- We arrived and the host was very kind and accomodating. He had a bday card ready to go!!! The waitress was lovely and when I ordered the Ahi she made sure to let me know that there is a beef jus on it and that it was optional! Thank goodness as I wouldn't have known this and I do not eat beef. It was delightful. The oysters and lavender cheese dish were also fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. I am really happy I chose this place for a bday and look forward to coming back for the next occasion.

Marc Hebert: Attended a special private event...wonderful atmosphere, tasty appetizers, great serviceParking: Big parking garage a block away

Mark E: The ambiance of the space was delightful, characterized by high ceilings and generously sized tables that provided ample comfort and space to savor our meal. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining options, the outdoor area featured a portion shielded by plastic, ensuring protection from the elements. Additionally, a second-floor dining room overlooking the main indoor area seemed reserved for private functions. The cuisine impressed with its excellence and visually appealing presentation. Service was both friendly and attentive, and portion sizes were fitting for a fine dining experience. An added charm was the outdoor movie screenings against the establishment's wall, which lent its name. Highly recommended.

Eva D: Without a doubt the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. The seating area outside was cozy and even had soft blankets for each guest! Service was also great - our server made us feel very welcome and the entire staff was super attentive and polite. I definitely recommend the Raviolo di ricotta if you’re here, but I’m sure the entire menu is just as amazing!

Marissa Thienes: Very tasty food and attentive service!

Wilson K: Great food and great place, quite possibly the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy! Lea San Agustin: This cute little place was absolutely a gem ! So happy I found and decided to book our reservation to celebrate my boyfriend’s 55th birthday! From the amazing ambience, intimacy of the place, service, staff, and the FOOD… everything was impeccably delicious!Starting with the appetizers, main course, drinks, and desserts! Definitely adding this to one of our favorite places to dine!

Paul Chan: Great little neighborhood French restaurant. Small cozy environment and great food. Super friendly staff. Reasonable prices and most of all great authentic food. Reservations recommended.Vegetarian options: Handful of vegetarian options and the are good!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat accessible entrance. But space inside is tight so be prepared.

Yatin Chawathe: Excellent neighborhood French spot. Lots of regular locals visit here, which makes it feel that much more neighborhoody and cozy.Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian dishes, such as the risotto

Beth Wasek: in caramel sauce with creme anglaise. Lovely wine selection to go along with anything you choose. Our server, Raoul was truly kind, helpful, and attentive without being over-solicitous. You really should make reservations, but if you're in the area, stop in and give it a shot--they also do takeaway, if you can't get a seat. ALL the stars to L'Ardoise!!

Lucas Meaux: .Everything was delicious, so I am convinced you couldn't go wrong here.

Ellen O.: We enjoyed another lovely, relaxing evening at l'Ardoise, this time at the 9:15 seating on a cold and rainy night. We again shared the delicious Tiger Shrimp ravioli as a starter. My husband also remembered loving the Coq au Vin from our visit last summer and was very happy with his choice.I had the excellent and fairly priced salmon and cod special. The fish was wrapped together in a chard leaf and seared, placed on a bed of fresh crunchy cucumber and butternut squash spirals on top of mashed potatoes, then finished with a lobster sauce. The dish was beautifully prepared, the ingredients complemented each other, and the fish was tender and flavorful. I had a glass of white Sancerre, recommended by the waitress, and liked it. I asked for a half-pour to go with the rest of the meal and was accommodated, which I appreciated. Not all SF restaurants will do this! We would love to have a wider choice of wines by the glass as we are not big drinkers.Dessert to share was a special double swan puff pastry they added for Valentine's Day filled with hazelnut cream and "floating" on a lake of creme patisserie. Dinner was hearty, so we did not want a heavy dessert. The double decaf espresso was excellent and went well with it.The beautiful aspects of French culture are expressed here--the excellence of the food, comfortable atmosphere, and emphasis on enjoyment. We never felt rushed and enjoyed a lively conversation with our waiter. Several groups of friends hung out, talking and laughing as the restaurant emptied. There's something magical about a place that lets you retreat from the urban rush and be in the moment. It was a bit of a splurge for us, but it's worth it, and I think it will now be a regular feature of our SF trips.

Robby Wilcox: Loved each item we ordered. My kids were fighting over sharing the 1pm crepes my son ordered. My daughter's parfait was tasty with server easily swapping a few fruit choices for her. The Avocado Toast three ways dish was superb and easily filled both my wife and I up.The 20% gratuity that was auto added to bill for my party of 4 was not mentioned by the server. That was my ONLY complaint.

Jenho Tiger: Superb restaurant, the dishes are generous and very good.Top notch welcome and service 👌It’s really cool to be here in SF and to have this type of restaurant that gives a taste of the holidaysKid-friendliness: Children's high chair

Michelle Kreeger: Eight AM for breakfast is the San Francisco year! Lol! They have the breakfast standards, which are good, especially the bacon. But... The crepes! Oh, the crepes! Gigantic creeps filled with yummy deliciousness of your coding! We love the Nutella and banana. Be warned! Servings are huge and come with a big bowl of fruit and a bowl of potatoes! Service is also excellent and friendly. Tables inside and out!Bon appetit!

Jamie Li: Ceviche was incredible and I would highly recommend. Was not as impressed with the tuna tacon as others were in previous reviews. But I enjoyed the carne asada tacos- full of flavor and good size.Loved their mezcal margarita, was perfectly balanced

Mello Wilsted: Wonderful unique food. Almost Asian fusion some things are wok cooked. Cannot recommend the alcoholic slushy enough. Very fun. Good for a date night or for a night out with friends.Dietary restrictions: Super friendly to dietary restrictions. Very open to gluten free and dairy free options.

Guillermo Quezada: Loló is one of my favorite spots in the Mission with a modern Mexican menu. Always a great spot to order tacos that are not your regular tacos. My favorite is the avocado taco, it's an explosion of flavor. Also the carnitas are a must. In general you can't go wrong with any of their dishes.Their drink inspirations are also very creative and flavorful.Their ambience is always amazing, lots of colors and amazing decorations. Sylwia K: . The ribeye steak was well-cooked and a generous portion; enough to share for 2.

Ashley Batz: Truly one of my favorite places for in and out of towners in SF.I love taking folks to my favorite cocktail bar down the street first - The Royale - and then walking one block to this glorious place. My husband is Hawaiian so I know this brings him much joy to come here.

Daniel Funk: The food and dining experience were incredible.Duck liver mouse banana bread deliciousBeef tongue steamed bun incredibleOcean trout sashimi amazingPork shoulder entree was out of this worldThe only items I would skip for next visit are the mochi custard dessert, odd texture and not enough custard vibes, and the groundskeeper cocktail, too lemony for my taste, I was hoping for something more old fashion like.Definitely would come back again.

Virginia Huffman: ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!Food was oh so creative and tasty. The layers and textures worked together so delightfully. Presentation was beautiful.Service and ambiance were nice.Great place for a group! So nice to be able to have a prefixed menu and enjoying a nice bite of everything. Can't wait to come again!Ok. Came here again! It had been too long. Everything was incredibly tasty as beautifully presented. We enjoyed the pescatarian version of the chefs selection.Look forward to next time!

Annie Evans: This place is absolutely delicious! My favorite dishes were the ahi poke app, snap pea salad, and the pig head app that was a delicious Brussels sprout salad.I could’ve done without the curry dish but everything and everyone was incredible. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender. Definitely a fun, delicious chiller vibe.

matt wong: . It's even better than I remember. Old standouts still appear on the menu

Mario Dos Campollo: A fantastic meal, every dish hit. Liholiho is a terrific Asian fusion restaurant nestled in Nob Hill neighborhood. The pig head was my favorite, it paired well with zesty-ness of the Brussels sprouts. The swordfish was fried perfectly, it was crispy on the outside and moist inside. The rice was excellent. Putting the care for something as simple as fried rice can really make it special. The beef tongue was tender and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely attentive. They helped with our special night and made it even better. In my opinion, I think Liholiho is missing some Michelin stars. Dos thumbs up 👍👍Dietary restrictions: Let them know before so they can accommodate.

Yi-Chieh Chen: .Everything we ordered tasted amazing 😋 great gluten-free options as well. For drinks, we really enjoyed the mezcalita 🍹Can’t wait to come back here 🤗Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free friendly

Lore Dp: Came here to celebrate my birthday and I’m so happy about my choice. Food was fantastic; it felt like a good mix of experimental and traditional dishes. Highly recommend the catfish katsu and the gulf shrimp, but everything else was also great. I was also impressed by the service, not only did food come fast but our waiter was so friendly and provided great recommendations. It has become one of my favorite spots in the city. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Nick Fong: Rich Table was an extremely pleasant surprise. My wife and I were in town to catch a show and nearby was Rich Table. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive without being overly “hover-y”. And the food was just super on point. My wife and I have been to 1-star, 2-star, even 3-star Michelin restaurants. And we find ourselves really liking the 1-star experience the best. While I’m just a nobody, I think this place easily is in the 1 or 2 star caliber. The food feels like it is inspired by a great chef that clearly has a story to tell. While it ate like “fine dining” the restaurant was casual, relaxed and non-pretentious, which is exactly what I want. Great food, friendly and informative service, and overall an amazing dinner. We will definitely be back!

Dani C: .We had the sourdough bread with butter

Kai Sheng: I mean, look at this plate of greens. This wasn’t simply tossed. Someone dressed each leaf and thoughtfully placed this arrangement!Rich table blew us away with their family style meal. The service, quality of the food, and quantity of the food were excellent.Highly recommend booking in advance to enjoy this restaurant. Friday night ambience was a bit loud, and we found ourselves yelling across the table.

Megha Murali: Amazing experience! We came here after a show that ran overtime, so we were a bit late. Regardless, we were greeted with a huge smile and the cocktail menu. When cleaning up the first course of bites, our server asked if we would like to leave the sauce to eat with the bread we had left. We both found this very thoughtful because usually at these fancy restaurants I’m worried about my food getting cleaned up too quickly and not being able to enjoy everything long enough! At the end of the night we had to run off to get our car out of the parking lot and completely forgot to take our to-go bag with us. We got a missed call and voicemail to let us know, and they were going to hold it for us for another 30mins even though we were the last customers of the night and had already left! The service was amazing and so was the food. I cannot recommend this place enough!Vegetarian options: If you inform your server that you are vegetarian they will point out everything you can eat. From my experience, there was at least one dish in each section to choose from, and I didn’t order that much for myself.

Chris Curry: Awesome restaurant. Excellent service. Great wine selection. Some really good entertainment. And the foood!! Look at the size of the prawns. I was not in the mood for steak so I had the swordfish. I know it’s tends to a thicker and dryer fish. But they cooked it perfectly and it was juicy inside. Definitely recommend. Included a pic of a KC strip. Everyone thought the food was amazing.
