Shay Edwards: 10/10 would eat here again the staff was so friendly and accommodating and made us feel right at home. Dietary restrictions: They had awesome attitudes and were very knowledgeable and willing to make alterations to dishesKid-friendliness: While kids could definitely eat here, the vibe is much more geared towards adults.

Laís Almeida Park: . We worked with Valeria mainly for the communication, and she was amazing. She was very upfront with the cost and food/drinks that are included and made great suggestions on what would be best to order and the quantity, which was perfect for what we needed. She was very responsive leading up to the event. The event itself also went PERFECTLY. The team was ready on time, the food and drinks were DELICIOUS

Kirn Gill: really cared to make our event personalized and special. Valeria is extremely organized and responsive. Everyone raved about the quality of the food and drinks, and the outdoor space is magical at night. We even made a neon sign to add a personal touch to the event space and the team at The Patio made sure it was hung up and all the small touches were coordinated before we arrived. The heaters provided plenty of warmth and I recommend renting the full patio space

Julien Letonnelier: Such a beautiful restaurant in the marina. We were 6 and had a private area just for us, it was cosy, comfy and quiet. The ambiance is great and the restaurant is well decorated. The food was delicious, we shared the cheese plate which came with charcuterie, fig jam and crackers. The linguine dish was full of flavors with the red sauce.I was full but the desert options looked incredible. They also have a large wine list and the service was on point.

Elke Greve-Riecken: Mainly a restaurant with probably good and quite expensive wines and cocktails that we didn't try. Lots of young audience! There are only a few dishes that aren't exactly cheap, but they seem to be freshly cooked and we enjoyed them very much.As an older couple, we were served extremely courteously by the staff. They also came to meet us when the music was much too loud for us and turned down the sound system. So we were happy to go again the next day and were greeted very friendly.

Jim Scott: Always great food and drinks, exceptional service, and great views of the ferry harbor. Our server, Jim, is a real pro - on top of his game. The house barrel aged old fashioned is always a must have. We've been there several times and have never had anything less than fantastic.

Taha Zaidi: Went here with colleagues due to its reputation as a great seafood spot and we were not disappointed. It was pretty full when we got there and in hindsight we should have reserved ahead of time. Overall, the place has a nice ambience and view of the bay.I had the pistachio encrusted Alaskan Haddock and my colleague had the pan seared Alaskan Cod as mains. The Haddock was done perfectly and the crust gave it a unique texture. Although my colleague was not really into seafood, he was also impressed by the cod. Our server was very helpful and kept checking up on us. Would recommend as a solid seafood option.

Marcela Diaz Gamboa: The most favorite Margarita #Mango

Marissa Mota: Recommended dishes Nantucket Bay Scallop Ceviche, French Fries, Oyster Bar

Moronie Fall: Went to waterbar for my birthday dinner with hubby. The vibe is very romantic with the low lights. You do have view of one the bridge and it was beautiful at night. Food wise the waiter recommended the braised short rib which my husband loved and I did the stuffed lamb loin it was good but not what I was expecting as it sat on some sort of flat but very flavorful. I also did the tiger prawn cocktail. The shrimp themselves were yummy but the cocktail was not it, it tasted like wasabi and had a very strong taste and flavor. Not sure if that’s how cocktails usually but that’s not what I was expecting. Overall good. The only thing is the waiter was a lil bit excessive coming to check on us but he did get me a lil birthday treat 😋

みやたShinya: After the owner replied:We are happy to make anything better for you, let us know in the momment. Best, Rich T.I have change my rating to 5.

Sayana: If you're a seafood lover in San Francisco, Sotto Mare is an absolute must-visit. This unassuming gem tucked away in North Beach delivers an unforgettable seafood experience that will leave your taste buds singing. The cioppino is simply the best I've ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful, brimming with a medley of fresh seafood – Dungeness crab, clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and fish – all cooked to perfection. Every spoonful is a symphony of flavors that will transport you straight to seafood heaven. But the culinary delights don't stop there. The Sanddab is also must-try, cooked to perfection, very light and delicious. Sotto Mare's oyster shooters are a revelation. The plump, briny oysters are perfectly complemented by the zesty cocktail sauce, creating a delightful explosion of taste that's both refreshing and invigorating. It's the perfect appetizer to kick off your seafood feast. The service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively and convivial.Must visit!

Nadia Wit: I made my reservation a month ahead of time for my darling's Birthday. He is a picky chef who loves good food and I love movies-- We arrived and the host was very kind and accomodating. He had a bday card ready to go!!! The waitress was lovely and when I ordered the Ahi she made sure to let me know that there is a beef jus on it and that it was optional! Thank goodness as I wouldn't have known this and I do not eat beef. It was delightful. The oysters and lavender cheese dish were also fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. I am really happy I chose this place for a bday and look forward to coming back for the next occasion.

Marc Hebert: Attended a special private event...wonderful atmosphere, tasty appetizers, great serviceParking: Big parking garage a block away

Mark E: The ambiance of the space was delightful, characterized by high ceilings and generously sized tables that provided ample comfort and space to savor our meal. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining options, the outdoor area featured a portion shielded by plastic, ensuring protection from the elements. Additionally, a second-floor dining room overlooking the main indoor area seemed reserved for private functions. The cuisine impressed with its excellence and visually appealing presentation. Service was both friendly and attentive, and portion sizes were fitting for a fine dining experience. An added charm was the outdoor movie screenings against the establishment's wall, which lent its name. Highly recommended.

Adrienne English: The Waterfront is my most favorite place in the whole bay area. We can see the Bay Bridge with all its sparkle. Eat inside or out, I prefer outside even on the coldest day. Dont want to miss that view.Service has been supreme every visit. The food!!! If they were in a basement with only a cement wall to look at, I would still rate them 5 + stars. It is that decadent. The presentation, the combinations- fish-perfection, steak- you won't find better. My favorite is the sea bass. Portions always enough for the following night too.Don't forget dessert!Btw, valet parking right there-

Fatima Aboukhaled: Lovely view of the bay Bridge while you are having a meal with loved ones. I like that the bathroom is clean, and great customer serviceParking: I like valet service.Kid-friendliness: I took my children age 9 and 5, and they were comfortable.

anil chaudhari: The ambiance was good and the water from was fascinating

Lea Pia: Amazing ambiance and atmosphere. Delicious food. I love that you have the option to sit inside or outside and it’s overlooking the water across the street along the piers and ferry building. I will definitely come back here when things get back to normal with the Covid-19 situation.

Robert LaThanh: ~ Cocktail quality more on the 2nd-wave side

dragan spirov: Nice place, good atmosphere.

Ashwin Kumar: Great food and great service. Close to the wharf. Priced well for the location. Will go there again.

Abhi Reddy Dandu: Great place for brunch. Offers good variety of breakfast options including vegan and vegetarian to choose from. Good price for cocktails and good. The waitress was knowledgeable and service was great. I would recommend. The only con I felt was the tables were too close to each other and it was kind of uncomfortable talking to the group becoz I felt like I might make other customers sitting next to me annoyed.

Barbara Roseneder: The food is to die for. At first it was pleasantly warm in the restaurant, but suddenly the air conditioning was switched on despite the pleasant temperatures. We would have liked to stay, but we couldn't sit without a jacket or sweater. No employee responded when all the guests put on their jackets. If the outside temperature is 15 degrees, air conditioning is probably not appropriate. It's a shame, we won't eat there anymore.

Neal Henderson: Absolutely the best dining experience. It was my niece's birthday, and they could not have made it more special. From the 5 star menu to the first class service. A memory we will cherish forever.

amit dabholkar: was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Loved the sauce.Chicken saltado was really amazing. The sauce was delicious and flavorful. The chicken and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. The ambience was really nice. The portion size was sufficient.Overall loved the restaurant.Definitely would visit again.

Alvaro Carbonero: The food was incredible. As a born and raised Peruvian, this is *the first* Peruvian restaurant I like in the US.The food was really good, but what makes me give it 5/5 were the vegetarian options. Not my first choice, but my friends are vegetarian so I got to try it from them. OUTSTANDING. The plates were original. They were not imitation meat; instead they were original creations with Peruvian ingredients that follow the spirit of the non-vegetarian counterpart. I highly highly recommend this place for vegetarians that want to try Peruvian food. For the meat eaters like I, I insist you try them. Not a good selection of desserts, though. The cheesecake with maracuya sauce was really good though. As someone who spends many many hours in the kitchen, I applaud the craftsmanship and creativity. As a Peruvian, I’m proud that this restaurant represents us.Vegetarian options: They are not originally from Peru, but definitely Peruvian inspired with Peruvian ingredients.

Beryl Jones: Wonderful spot, tucked into a little food marketplace. Close to Chinatown and a couple of terrific hotels. Authentic French cousine, C'est magnifique! Wait staff was attentive and super friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm disabled, the whole International food marketplace was level and wheelchair friendly, with enough authenticity to satisfy the soul.

Licorne ARC EN CIEL: We came to see the opening rugby match 🏉 France-New Zealand. The atmosphere was great. Only French people came to see the match. TV screen everywhere in the room. We had the burger, good meat, crispy fries. The waitress was very friendly, making a little effort to speak to us in French for a few words. On the other hand, I find it expensive to pay more than $20 in tips. I recommend coming to eat hereLong live France 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵

Kaitlyn Newman: Wow. Went here late in the evening after a long day. The service was amazing. The restaurant had a very high scale look so we were pleasantly surprised with the authenticity of the wait staff. Portions were bigger than I was expecting for the low price and the free bread was a wonderful treat. The cook on the steak was perfect. Only after did I learn that this facility is used for training members of the Delancey Street Foundation. What a special place.

jasmine: the food is great, portion size is huge for the cost. Value for money. I really like their mission that they are giving second chance to people who are trying to become a contributing members of the society. Great cause! keep it up.Vegetarian options: sandwich, salad and burgers

Gissel: Yesterday we went with my husband to enjoy our afternoon, since we are visiting and we decided to go to this wonderful place "Tropisueño" the food is very delicious and the margaritas not to mention, they are a bomb. But what we loved most was the service that Joselin gave us, always very attentive and fun. Her recommendations were excellent! 10/10

Justin: I ate here multiple times during a work conference and each time did not disappoint. From chips and salsa, churros, flatas, torta and, tamales all options were affordable and delicious. Nicholas Bogdanoff: The rack of Lamb is #1. The sauces are great, too.

Lisa Brown: came here with my wife a while ago. I am sorry to see that it is closed. I am hoping that it opens up in the near future. Lots of good memories here and amazing good food. Maybe we will see them open in the coming days. The ambience and location are to die for

Dan: Incredible food and amazing views. Service is speedy, and restaurant is right next to many other nice attractions.

Jackson Wade: The BEST Vietnamese food I have ever had! An elegant setting overlooking the bay. The crispy imperial rolls, the clay pot chicken, and the fresh spring rolls are the BEST!! Also highly recommend the confection for dessert!

Juan Pablo Ardila Falla: It’s a nice place and the food was fine, but I’ve had better Vietnamese food at many other places. It’s a bit expensive considering that the most entrees are somewhat small and that the quality could be better.

Tee Ponsukcharoen: This place is indeed special. I never got a chance to eat here before because the line is always long, until I come during weekday lunch. The patio area is nice and the food is amazing. I got fried trout with potatoes and salad. The quality and the execution of the dish deserved the word "excellence". I like the crispiness of the fish skin, the potato skin, or even the whole garlic cloves. Yet there is the tenderness and juiciness in the fish and potato. Those elements come from the well-practiced technique of cooking. And the dish is 25 dollars, much cheaper yet tastier than many fancy places and much. Oh and you don't have to give a tip here as they takes care of it already. The food might sound a bit pricey place but given the no-tip policy and the excellence of food, it is a no brainer to come and eat here again - when the line is not too long.

William Nugent: Read a review in the paper so we checked it out over the weekend. Getting there was a breeze on the light rail. The waitlist kiosk was easy enough and after lapping the open shops we waited about 30 minutes total. We sat in the back patio area. The wait staff were great, as was the food and drinks. It was refreshing to see true menu pricing with tip included and no add on fees. Definitely will return.

Jamie Li: . I think I’ll stick with chez maman as my French brunch spot in SF because generally a shorter wait but better prices

Yuri Moreno: 6 starts for this place! The food is amazing!!! Quality ingredients and very well prepared. Their Divorcee eggs Benedict's are out of this world.Just make sure you arrive early and are ok waiting, otherwise try to go on the off hours.Sitting in the front is first come first serve.
