Paul Schraeder: My stay at the Fairmont was amazing. The best customer service - thanks Antoine and staff! The hotel is central to everything and just three blocks from Chinatown so great food is just steps away.Rooms: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Great value …
Scott Bartels: Staff is nothing but perfect. Had sticker shock for the price of breakfast that was so so. And again when we got drinks at the bar 48$ for 2 drinks???????Rooms: FabulousNearby activities: About a mile and a half from most activities.Safety: I just feel safe until a Gaza protester came into the resturant
Thorsten Knoop: Location: 5/5
Pam C: Just stopped in to pick niece but this place looks AWESOME. Just walking around the main floor is stellar.Noteworthy details: Statues of all the music/rock stars that have stayed, including Beatles, Bowie, etc and a great statue outside of Tony Bennett
Tenzin Subhar: Amazing experience and exceptional front desk service, especially front desk manager Ashley, she was so helpful, kind and though. When she found out it was our son’s Birthday weekend, she made it extra special by sending him a personal birthday card and a gift. Everyone in the hotel was so nice and helpful, very clean and the location was close to everything especially the cable cars. Loved it here and will definitely visit again.

Charlotte Jupp: Rooms: Functional and clean.Nearby activities: Nice hotel bar. Good location for a lot of the sights. Convenient for Powell Street and the trams.Safety: Safe enough for San Francisco. Busy area.Walkability: Can walk to a lot of locations and central.Food & drinks: Nice rooftop bar for drinks. Didn't eat food.
Leonardo Garcia: The best thing about the hotel is the rooftop bar. The rooms are old and worn out. As usual in San Francisco, it's too expensive for a terrible experience.Rooms: Terrible. Very old and worn out.
Gustavo Nadais: Region with a lot of drug addicts, which makes it scary to go out. But the hotel is still pretty cool.Rooms: Rooms ok, I expected more for the price. But OK.Safety: Hotel security, especially at night or on busier days, is good, but they are very rude. American profile. The streets around are full of drug addicts and homeless people, it's terrible.
Marco Polo: 2 blocks up on Sutter Street, great breakfast. Very good prices.
Elena Belgum (Count Talkula): This place is enormous, I forgot how big it was and that I had gotten lost there more than once. Tower one has 40 or more floors, reception areas huge and has a great but expensive store/ Deli which I think is open 24 hours. Security can be overly Vigilant and rude but considering the location and current situation and the fact that people are sleeping there, it's to be expected. If you are visiting somebody here have their room number and last name and it doesn't hurt to have picture ID and have them call them or come meet you in the lobby or leave a message at the front desk or something like that or you may not get in. The prices are more than double the last time I've been there, I don't know if there was a convention in town or that's just the current pricing or the person I know just didn't have any discounts, but this is definitely not a budget location. They also have A well-stocked gift shop, although I don't think I would rely on it for gifts for any kind of special occasion it's closer to an airport convenience store. They also have a couple of restaurants and bars, pool, hot tub, convention facilities, office equipment, 24/7 room service and maid service etcRooms: I've only seen standard rooms here. They are spacious and clean and the bathrooms are nice and well stocked and I believe most if not all of the rooms have balconies.Nearby activities: Great location near Union Square and the Theater District also near the tenderloin, so don't leave anything in your car if you park here. I wouldn't even leave your car outside of their parking lot or it may not be there when you get back. SF does not have a ton of 24-hour activities and businesses like it used to but if you're going to find them it'll be near that hotel.Safety: Don't walk around this neighborhood altered alone or you are likely to be targeted for robbery or something similar. I would not leave my car there overnight if it was nice and definitely not if it had anything inside . Great for shopping but don't leave any valuables unattended. Great for bars and restaurants but a pricey area, better deals available within a mile or less.Walkability: Almost all of San Francisco is extremely walkable, the tenderloin is much dirtier than it used to be and it's not advisable to walk in anything other than closed-toed shoes and not provocatively dressed unless you like a whole lot of attention. Also keep your wallet hidden and be friendly but not overly friendly if it's late at night. You can see Union Square from a street performers, Broadway level theater, a lot of bars and restaurants and shopping and cable cars, Market street, the ferry building, the Embarcadero, Grace Cathedral and a lot of other great sites and stuff to do within easy walking distance although you might run into a lot of hills.Food & drinks: Available 24/7 at the hotel but very pricey. Available in the area also very pricey, again go to the tenderloin for better prices but keep your wits about you and hide your money. I would recommend going up to Polk street for Napoli Pizza, and other great restaurants and bars for a younger, "hipper" crowd at a lower price than the Union Square area, you'll be passing through the tenderloin to get there which is possibly too Hip for most people and much lower pricing unless you're buying drugs or ice cream. LolNoteworthy details: Most likely the largest hotel in the city, great location, clean professional Etc but much higher pricing than other smaller and possibly more fun hotels which may not offer the same amenities or hours.

John Ko: Great location and service. Rooms are comfortable & clean but worn and needs updating. I’ve stayed here many times and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.Walkability: At the border of union square and Chinatown - easy walk to both. Also close to financial district.
Leo Díaz Longhi: Solid hotel. You won't miss anything in particular and you won't need anything else. But nothing over that. If you want to buy something inside the hotel is super expensive.Elevators are slow. It's a tall building.Rooms: Solid and comfortable rooms. Shows the wear of some time but they still are ok.Nearby activities: Middle of SF. Everything starts here. The beach is far, but there are almost no hotels thereSafety: Homeless people are everywhere in SF. Lots of drugs all day long. They won't do you anything, but it is an uncomfortable situation.Walkability: You can't be wrong in the middle of the city. Pay in advance for the public transportation and you'll get everywhere easily.
FaHaD ALSaMi: The location is suitable and close to services, Macys building, Apple and many international brands..The room was very nice. I lived on the 26th floor. The view is beautiful.. the bed is comfortable and the hotel is quiet..
Doug Gordy: The rooms are really nice. They are spacious and comfortable. The king bed was a nice quality and the turn down service rocked. They have a really nice setup with the TV where you can stream a device to it, so you don't have to mess with the hotel on demand stuff. The tub was a small thing where you really could just use it as a shower. The shower has a shower head that is adjustable in height. My wife is short and I am tall.... It barely reached my head. It is kinda out of the way from the hustle of downtown and honestly not a lot of restaurants that I enjoy were near. The front desk staff is absolutely amazing here and will bend over backwards for you. I would recommend staying here and probably will stay myself again

Sierra Foxtrot: A good hotel with attentive and friendly staff. It has a central location due to its proximity to a large shopping center. From here you can explore San Francisco on foot. The modern rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows through which you have a good view. There is a luggage storage service for all guests who arrive early or wish to leave in the evening.
Q Wer: comfy, low-anxiety, memorable, & smooth. :
Jarred Capellman: Hands down the best hotel in the world. My wife and I have stayed here numerous times over the last year going to various events in San Francisco. The location is perfect to get around to everything we goto. The rooms have always been super clean, large and luxurious. You really can't beat the floor to glass ceiling views of the bay.The staff has always been courteous even when we have checked in at midnight. The buffet breakfast is also the best breakfast, lots of keto options.Walkability: Giants stadium, Warriors Stadium, Ferry Building and SF Symphony are all within walking distance. Not to mention Enterprise Brewery, Rize Up Bakery and Black Hammer Brewery.
Hortencia Mayorga: Hotel highlights Kid-friendly
James Gilbert: Had the great pleasure of staying in a room with Club lounge access for 4 nights recently with a 20th floor view of seismic proportions. A true treat. Luis and the rest of the lounge staff were as one would hope - helpful, attentive, and great to interact with. The food and beverages were of excellent quality, and the views also from the lounge and the patio were terrific. Do not hesitate to stay here, especially if you opt for the Club lounge. The location can be dicey but that's basically the entire city. So, be a little cautious but do still come.

Neil V: It's a massive hotel conveniently located near all the popular attractions, including Pier 39 and the Golden Gate. Rooms are decent, but wifi isn't free. It's about $14.99/day for non-members but $1/day for Marriott members. The Roof top bar on the 39th floor was amazing. Also, if you want to save some money then don't buy food or drink from the hotel as they could be expensive. There is Target supermarket just across the road.Rooms: The room was serviced daily and was very clean and tidy. Water pressure in the shower isn't that great, though.Nearby activities: San Francisco shopping mall, Target, Star Bucks, Super Burgers, Sales Force Tower. Macy's, Cheesecake Factory

marcia craw: Rooms: Clean comfortNearby activities: Everything was in walking distanceSafety: Felt very safeWalkability: GreatFood & drinks: Amazing
Laura O: on one slice of sourdough bread. The menu said BLT on baguette with blah blah aioli...sounded good. It was not and the waiter then tried to argue with us about what a baguette was, then tried to tell us that because we were tourists we didn't understand. We aren't, we are from Alameda and just stayed over to go to dinner at HOPR and not have to drive home late after drinking...The calamari was OLD. Like fishy smelling/tasting. We had lunch for four people and it was $250 before tip. Lunch. We went to dinner at HOPR and paid far less for WAY better food. To make a long story long....stay at this hotel because its nice/clean/in a great location but avoid their restaurant like its the plague.Rooms: Rooms are super cute. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean and nice.Nearby activities: There is a cool museum/arcade a few blocks away. You're basically in the middle of the wharf so there is a ton of stuff to do if you're new to the area. If you are not new to the area, you will be sad to see all the old timer restaurants are shuttered
Steve May: Loved our stay at Argonaut. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the neighborhood felt safe. Great location for exploring San Francisco. Really loved our morning walks to see the Harbor Seals and grab coffee.Nearby activities: 10 minute stroll to the Harbor Seals.
Vivian Y: Excellent location and plenty of amenities. But I ended up having to contact the front desk a lot about things that I was supposed to have included in my package like free breakfast and late checkout. The room was cute, but more dimly lit than I prefer. The Jacuzzi tub was a huge highlight, but many of the bathroom fixtures also felt outdated.Overall, I enjoyed my stay and might go back due to the excellent location, but I'm not sure.
Kraig S: , but it did not accumulate. So, you were expected to use the hotel services daily and even with the credit applied, it was fairly pricey for the area.

Chris Tebo: Iconic bar at the top of the hotel. We came for the sunset view. Great views, but obviously, newer buildings do obscure the view of the horizon. Interesting cocktails we haven't seen elsewhere. The food was good, but appetizer fare for sure. We really appreciate the rich history. Especially the military tradition of buying a bottle for the next military personnel stopping in. Great to read the notes on the bottled. Amazing history and some famous people too.
Kimberly E: Absolutely GORGEOUS hotel. The staff was the nicest I've ever dealt with. The person who checked us in and the Concierge were both incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel is easy to walk to and from Pier 39, Chinatown, Little Italy, and the government buildings in the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We loved our view of the city from the 10th floor!
Christy T: Great service here so much better than The Plaza Hotel in NYC which we stayed at recently. Bell man immediately helped us with bags. Room had with a stunning view. Attentive room service. Rooms are old but very spacious and the bed was comfortable. A lot of older people working here who are very good at their job. Very pleased. Parking is $85 a night but they told us that immediately. There are other parking garages nearby. The curtains don’t close so the room stays bright at night. I found a hair clip to close mine.
