abu bana: amazing beach with views of the golden gate and alcatraz

Fatima Aboukhaled: Lovely view and park

Sarah Ateia: Cute spot

J: Beautiful Beach with amazing views.

Katrina Queirolo: Great place to walk the dog or go for a dip in the bay

Katelyn W: Beautiful beach with free parking and bathrooms. Took my friend here right after I picked her up from the airport so she could get pictures of the Golden Gate.

James Wizy: Wow our trip was blessed and what really makes it's so exited was when we landed there and ordered some good stuffs from Jhon whitehead on telegram and he really sorted us out on time

Peter Ostrow: Ample parking, paved walkways, picnic areas, scenic beyond belief, historic, beach access and a warming hut for snacks and hot beverages. What’s not to like? Great for tourists/out of town guests. It can be crowded and the weather can get cold in an instant so be prepared.

Stephanie Clippert: Beautiful spot for a walk with great bridge views. Lots of parking and benches. There is an accessible path for those that want to avoid sand. Note the water is cold in SF so this is more a spot for walks vs swimming.

Maharukh Daruwalla: Great sandy spot for views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Walking and cycling paths galore. Connected by bus 30 and others. Walking distance to the Palace of Fine Arts. Car park available.

Philip Bierhuizen: Great trails and beach.

Hannah Martynski: Beautiful! very nice trail leading down to the beach, a nice hint is to go on a weekday early, around 7am or 8am, there’s hardly anyone there.

BaptGym Coaching: Superb place, the view is magnificent on a clear day!

David Enloe: One of the most incredible settings I can think of. A stunning beach flanked by sandstone cliffs and dark volcanic boulders, one of the best viewpoints for the Golden Gate Bridge, and minimal crowds due to the steep hike to the beach. I am a session photographer and Marshall's is a go-to for anyone willing to make the trek. Two small caveats – avoid high tide as the beach vanishes, and know that vehicle break-ins are common in the main parking area.

MCH: Very beautiful place

Daithí Kilcourse: A very nice beach to go to and get very nice pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. You have to walk over ally of rocks to get along the beach. Amazing views when you get to the other side. Loved it here.

Kirmos Atronis: I Love it ...

Ivan Oreskovic: Best ever

Vincenzo Pasceri: .

ICH BINS: like in the movie 😍

Heather Brushwood: Probably one of the coolest beaches to ever visit. Great view of The Golden Gate Bridge! Short hike down on Batteries to the Bluff trail to get down the cliff.

Ozkan Boyar: Nice view, 20 min walk to the beach from parking spot.

alice v: Very suggestive beachDue to its length and its beautiful sand but above all it offers a wonderful view of the Golden Gate. The only note is that it is cold and windy on this beach even in August so I highly recommend bringing a jacket!

Arnold Arndth: Great hidden beach with few people. Might encounter some weirdos here, but not of the bad kind. Great for photos of the Golden Gate Bridge.Steep climb up and down, so don't bring 5 coolers and bags.

Albert Lai: great hike and incredible views!

Stimulus_Chekus: Wonderful place to be

Veronica Guidetti: Going there was the most beautiful and exciting thing about my trip to America ♥️

Antonio Vilela: Best beach in SF

Andy Travel Reviews: Love coming here when I visit San Francisco and it's chill but there are a lot of homeless and crime here when I was here. Be aware when you walk on the great highway after 8pm there are some people who camp in car and come out to rob you in the ocean beach parking lot

Jota Ce: Stormy beach ideal for watching the sunset over the Pacific. It is usually cold to be in a swimsuit, but it is ideal for walking or playing sports. Until 9:30 p.m. you can make bonfires in their bonfires.

Matus Kopalko: Ocean beach is a must see spot in San Francisco. You can comfortably get there by a tram N, which is a nice sightseeing line too.Ocean beach is a large, open space with authentic ocean panorama - you can hear and smell it very well. I recommend to go snd touch the pacific ocean - its quite cold. You can see ocean birds and some shells too.You can walk all this ocean beach and you will enjoy it as ocean is so close and you can see city, parks, cliffs and mich more and then continue one of the coast trails. Going back you should take a parrallel street of this district as you came by the tram.

Amanda: We just made a really quick stop here while driving around for the afternoon. It was just a typical beach for me. It was so cold out so I didn’t go out my toes in the water which I regret now! I hope to come back again when it’s warmer and enjoy it to its fullest.

Sunghyun Nam: Good place to see the ocean and sands.

Kiran K: Iconic beach in SF

Onward TheyGo: Visited 12/06/2023.A lovely beach, it was nice to enjoy the sea breeze and the sand between your toes. We had walked Golden Gate Park to get there, so it was refreshing and enjoyable with the sunshine. They even had a couple of old fashioned windmills to admire and enjoy as well.Nice to sit and enjoy.

Jovanna Reyes Casillas: Beautiful place to watch the sunset!

Geovanny LC: Great spot to back up your car and enjoy some pizza with the sunset on the horizon. Keep the parking lots free!

Shiva K: Nice beach and lots of birds flying around but unfortunately it was not very clean beach.

Nicole L.: Very beautiful landscape

Bolo Up Boloup: Best Day ever at Ocean Beach

Michele York: Nice place.

Angela Martin: Clean, beautiful views, nice coastline drive.

J David Whitfield: Worth the effort to experience a magical spot

Dave: amazing view and tracking path

Elias Martinelli: One of my favorite SF sunsets!

Phuong Pham: Nature gives grace to all things💓 As for me, I think that small things have been formed since I was a child walking around the sea, the beautiful sea with many nuances, what should I praise from the beginning, if I could see it? The sea is far away, I see in my eyes the vast blue sky and sea, far beyond my vision, oh,,! so majestic and a little feeling of my soul suddenly flashes from the drop of the sea close at hand. Look at my thoughts, see you later. Commission writes, thank you.

MY Mulla: Great trails and walking over the rocks next to the breaking waves.Plan four hours minimum.

David Enloe: This place is ridiculously cool. Spots like these always leave me asking "do I actually live here!?" Mile Rock is close enough that you can get there on a morning run or an evening dog walk, but just far enough to reduce the crowd factor. That said, it is busy on weekends! Tides are also a huge factor, like the difference between almost no beach and tons of beach, so it's worth figuring out how to read tide tables! As a session photographer I often suggest that families with dogs consider Mile Rock on weekday mornings, when there are rarely more than a few other people on the beach. And dogs are allowed off-leash!

Greg Collins: Mile Rock Beach is one of my favorite places to go for a walk at Lands End in San Francisco.

Matt Savage: , but occasionally I will linger and take in the beauty of the seascape. It's one of San Francisco's most precious locations!

Raquel Rodriguez: 아름다운 곳, 태평양 도시

Tracey C: 해변과 전망이 좋습니다. 처음 방문하는 경우 주차비를 지불할 준비를 하세요.

joyita shaw: 엄청난

Tracey Crockett: 좋은 해변. 주차비를 준비하세요.

Antonella Di Francia: 여기가 마음에 듭니다. 욕실 이용이 중요합니다. 파도 위의 서퍼들. 편안한 해변. 타코벨은 신선하고, 식사를 하면서 바라보는 경치는 정말 좋은 곳입니다.

Shan Wolff: Still good old Linda Mar. Everyone just coexists. I've never seen a problem here. Yeah, lots of kooks in the water and they are now quick to ticket cars who didn't pay, but half an hour from SF you get a taste of authentic Cali beach culture!!!

Mona Schorow: Quiet, lovely beach.

yass sol: Nice

RUDYAKAHALIBU77: Come on, no words needed just look and you can tell they luv it here.Let me say a few helpful words...... Always keep your head on a swivel, many hidden dangers when you are enjoying yourself and don't let your guard down. These waves here are nice during the outgoing tides. I like to target minus tides. If you like this area keep in mind, there is a lot more beach during the low tides and even more during the minus tides. Please help keep the beaches and trails clean. If you pack it in, pack it out,Please please please pick up your dogs poop and bring it back out to the nearest trash can. This beach is shared with small children too❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ keep it safe for them as well.Thxs and have a wonderful time.

Jane Y.: Took our doggo here and she had an absolute BLAST. VERY dog friendly!

Mendosína Delsey: If you visit this beach, you are sure to meet at least one dog. We renamed her doggy 😉. The beach is huge, so you have a lot of space to hang out with friends or just for your own contemplation. There is a steep path leading to the water, so the climb up to the parking lot requires better fitness. Interesting are the remains of defensive elements from the Second World War, which, however, have already been affected by the ravages of time. There are public toilets - cabins at the large parking lot. They have a stand with drinking water where you or your dog can drink. The view of the ocean and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. We recommend!

Ellie A: Beautiful spot to walk and watch sunset

Sophia D: Beautiful spot for walking and seeing the coast. So many dogs out and about too

David Enloe: Fort Funston Beach is spectacular, but there are some things you should know! Lots of dogs, usually off leash. At high tide, the beach can get quite small. The walk up and down the sandstone cliffs is steep and a bit challenging. If these elements don't bother you, then go and enjoy this slice of nature just outside of San Francisco. There are trails just set back from the beach, secret tree-swing grottoes, and the sunsets are outta this world. As a family photographer, Funston will always be a favorite location!

Kenneth Lui: Nice fun place to be spending an afternoon in, as the wind is not too strong, nor the water too cold. There are usually lots of dogs here just enjoying themselves. There's a slight climb back to the parking lot, but it's short and not too steep.

Steve Sander: Great beach, quite a few dogs on the weekend. It's a steep climb back up to the parking lot.

Mel: Gorgeous beach, fun to watch the hang gliders

Kimberly Michelle Simmons: Great Place hasmd fun but dog run around free I thunk they should turn into a train station 🚉 or port ferry ride boats

Chiara: Best dog park in all the Bay Area!!

JenaRose: How long have I lived in the area and didn't know this was here?! Treasure!I attempted to go down the stair trail to the water. Decided not to after realizing I'd have to hike back up them. I just did several miles yesterday elsewhere.Plenty of places to have a sit & marvel.

Somjai McCarthy: One of my favorite spot for hiking and watching sunset

Amanda Siggins: Beautiful beach!

J K: Beautiful place to relax and see the majestic Golden Gate

Martin Zhang: Awesome beach to watch the Golden Gate Bridge. A bit bumpy to walk down there with very limited parking space.

David Enloe: China Beach is a cool, quirky little spot that I love. I am a photographer and work with a lot of local families – China Beach offers a quieter space than the more popular Baker Beach, with similar views and a more intimate feel. The beach itself is very tide dependent. At high tide there isn't a lot of sand, and at the lowest tides you can actually connect China Beach to the others on either side of it. Parking has historically been at the top of a steep set of stairs, and is somewhat limited, though they are making renovations currently. Anyways, if you're looking for a slightly off-the-beaten path beach experience in SF, China Beach is worth a try!

Angel Garcia: They are remodeling the place, it has a good view of the bridge

Omar Azaz: Clean and not crowded ,but it's not that big ,not recommended for swimming or surfing.

Melih Kurtaran (Alumni): This is a true hidden gem! Stunning beauty amazing view of Golden Gate. No shower facilities though :/

Daniela Ayers: Best hidden spot. A it strange to get to but do not be scared. Peaceful spot to look at the Golden Bridge and dogs and their dog owners.

Matty B: A quiet, secluded beach with a pretty nice view of the Golden Gate bridge. Impressively people swim here.

America Flores Rodriguez: The landscape is beautiful but I realized that it is being greatly neglected

Gigi Phoenix: This is a more local beach than the tourist trap that is Baker beach. It's currently under construction; however it's still accessible to the public. We saw the sunset on a cloud-free evening and saw the GGB in all its glory

Kalina: Beautiful beach for dates, friends & families.

Maleah Chinn: The hike back up to the parking lot is always worse than you think it will be!! That said, the beach is beautiful, especially at sunset, and never over crowded

Chris L.: Besides the moderately steep staircase the entire way, beautiful beach with lots of space to roam around. Limited parking makes for a less crowded beach. Beach has a steep incline making for deep water close to shore and larger waves under the right conditions.

Kat Beguhl: there is a lot of black sand

West Coast: Was amazing. The path down to the beach is a journey on its own.

Matty B: Really cool phenomenon, located next to some very dangerous water and sharp rocks. Be care and watch out for sneaker waves.

Khanhlinh Le Begin: Nice beach 😍

Kal: Long way done for the record, the water can get , nice sunset to view, warnings no walking towards the area because there is a trench and it’s an instant drop so keep your distance.Sand looks nice thoughHighly recommend to view.

Daniel Flores: Loved the location and the hike that it takes to get down to the beach.

Guy Tokihiro: Must visit here once

Sarah Leach: A few parking spots and an easy walk down to the beach.

R Malla: sand. You do not get lots of coastal breeze so you'll enjoy more. Go 49ers!
