Scott Bartels: Staff is nothing but perfect. Had sticker shock for the price of breakfast that was so so. And again when we got drinks at the bar 48$ for 2 drinks???????Rooms: FabulousNearby activities: About a mile and a half from most activities.Safety: I just feel safe until a Gaza protester came into the resturant
Thorsten Knoop: Location: 5/5
Pam C: Just stopped in to pick niece but this place looks AWESOME. Just walking around the main floor is stellar.Noteworthy details: Statues of all the music/rock stars that have stayed, including Beatles, Bowie, etc and a great statue outside of Tony Bennett
Tenzin Subhar: Amazing experience and exceptional front desk service, especially front desk manager Ashley, she was so helpful, kind and though. When she found out it was our son’s Birthday weekend, she made it extra special by sending him a personal birthday card and a gift. Everyone in the hotel was so nice and helpful, very clean and the location was close to everything especially the cable cars. Loved it here and will definitely visit again.

Alyssa Siddiqui: Holiday tea at the Ritz Carlton.Late post as they don’t always offer afternoon tea but I believe they offer a type of holiday tea every winter.Highly recommend trying tea at the Ritz Carlton, when they do offer, as they provide a romantic ambience for your tea date as well as delicious treats.During our visit they had a harpist and we were met with decadent tea delights with lobster, caviar and other delicacies. They were able to meet our dietary needs of halal and celiac and made our anniversary a wonderful experience.
Su Byron: were so good and the ambience so comfortable, we never wanted to leave.Because of life’s circumstances, we needed pampering and that’s what we got at The Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. There are so many people to thank—but sans a notebook and constantly jotting down names, I can’t list them all here. From the concierges, the remarkable Club level staff, the sweet women who service the rooms—each person served with expansive energy and whole-hearted spirit. It’s a hard job—being gracious all day to the lucky folk who get to stay here but they do it with honor and integrity. One note: Through my own miscommunication, we had a slight hiccup with servicing the room. No big deal—but it was my error. However, the entire staff we worked with never pointed their finger at me; they made the situation right with graciousness and kindness.Yes, the amenities are perfect. I have insomnia but slept perfectly here. The linens, sheets, bathroom amenities—all wonderful. But the true heart of this establishment is every person who works here and strives so hard to keep the guests happy and comfortable. Bravo!!Rooms: Our room, 865, years overlooked the splendor of the city. Gorgeous!Walkability: This is Nob Hill! If you can’t handle the hill hikes
Borderlessfoodie: .Note: Valet parking is ~$80 per day.
Alice Cruce: Exceptional service. I have stayed at many Ritz Carlton’s, and other luxury hotel brands, and the service here is some of the best I have ever experienced. Every step of the way from valet to check in to restaurant service everyone is friendly and going out of their way to make your experience the best possible. This is my second visit within a few months and I have been consistently impressed. Special shout out to Teresa R at the front desk who has given me personalized service during both stays, surprising me with cake for my birthday and remembering me when she saw my name for my second visit and went out of her way to give me her favorite room. She made our visit very special and will keep me coming back to the Ritz when I come to SF in the future. Come stay here. You won’t regret it.
Fernanda Eguiarte: The attention we received at the Ritz was impeccable from our arrival to our departure. Unfortunately and for reasons totally unrelated to the hotel, we had a Covid diagnosis at the beginning of our trip and we had to quarantine in the room. The Ritz team, in addition to executing Covid protocols for the safety of other guests and their staff, was attentive to us at all times. They sent us complementary tea service to the room and helped our medicines and food always be in front of our door. Furthermore, they had a human and genuine concern for our health at every moment. Despite the sadness of the change of plans, we were able to have the space and care necessary for our recovery. I will always be grateful to them for this and I highly recommend staying there.
Ozzi H.: "Love at First Stay"I have been staying at the hotels for the last 20-plus years, but Ritz-Carlton made me realize the true meaning of Service and comfort level. We stayed there for the first time for 2 nights and 3 days enough to spoil you and raise your expectations forever...The way staff greets you at the entrance is not less than 5 stars, it feels like they know you well and are there to serve you only... The front desk staff is lovely, friendly and professional. No matter your genuine needs, they are ready to fulfil them with a lovely smile. Although the bathroom was a little uncomfortable the stay was great! At the end of the stay when we were leaving the gentleman at the concierge requested me to come back and stay with us again and consider Ritz Carlton your second home. 3 3 3Rooms: 4 starsNearby activities: 5 starsSafety: 5 starsWalkability: 5 starsFood & drinks: 5 starsNoteworthy details: At the entrance greetings and flower arrangements.
Lori Jenkins: This is a beautiful hotel and I would recommend it over any other hotel in SF. The service and staff go above and beyond anything you need. Kindness really goes a long way and it is hard to find that when traveling recently in the U.S. I would come back to this hotel based off of that alone. The hotel itself is immaculate and very clean. Our room on the club level was nice and comfortable with a fantastic view of the bay and Coit Tower. The food and service in the club room was wonderful, we felt very welcome.

Ellaria Tyrell: I was a guest at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel is in an amazing location, and its guest rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely choose this hotel for my next visit to San Francisco.
Daniel X. O'Neil: Fancy as you think it is.

Neil V: It's a massive hotel conveniently located near all the popular attractions, including Pier 39 and the Golden Gate. Rooms are decent, but wifi isn't free. It's about $14.99/day for non-members but $1/day for Marriott members. The Roof top bar on the 39th floor was amazing. Also, if you want to save some money then don't buy food or drink from the hotel as they could be expensive. There is Target supermarket just across the road.Rooms: The room was serviced daily and was very clean and tidy. Water pressure in the shower isn't that great, though.Nearby activities: San Francisco shopping mall, Target, Star Bucks, Super Burgers, Sales Force Tower. Macy's, Cheesecake Factory

Charlotte Jupp: Rooms: Functional and clean.Nearby activities: Nice hotel bar. Good location for a lot of the sights. Convenient for Powell Street and the trams.Safety: Safe enough for San Francisco. Busy area.Walkability: Can walk to a lot of locations and central.Food & drinks: Nice rooftop bar for drinks. Didn't eat food.
Leonardo Garcia: The best thing about the hotel is the rooftop bar. The rooms are old and worn out. As usual in San Francisco, it's too expensive for a terrible experience.Rooms: Terrible. Very old and worn out.
Gustavo Nadais: Region with a lot of drug addicts, which makes it scary to go out. But the hotel is still pretty cool.Rooms: Rooms ok, I expected more for the price. But OK.Safety: Hotel security, especially at night or on busier days, is good, but they are very rude. American profile. The streets around are full of drug addicts and homeless people, it's terrible.
Marco Polo: 2 blocks up on Sutter Street, great breakfast. Very good prices.
Elena Belgum (Count Talkula): This place is enormous, I forgot how big it was and that I had gotten lost there more than once. Tower one has 40 or more floors, reception areas huge and has a great but expensive store/ Deli which I think is open 24 hours. Security can be overly Vigilant and rude but considering the location and current situation and the fact that people are sleeping there, it's to be expected. If you are visiting somebody here have their room number and last name and it doesn't hurt to have picture ID and have them call them or come meet you in the lobby or leave a message at the front desk or something like that or you may not get in. The prices are more than double the last time I've been there, I don't know if there was a convention in town or that's just the current pricing or the person I know just didn't have any discounts, but this is definitely not a budget location. They also have A well-stocked gift shop, although I don't think I would rely on it for gifts for any kind of special occasion it's closer to an airport convenience store. They also have a couple of restaurants and bars, pool, hot tub, convention facilities, office equipment, 24/7 room service and maid service etcRooms: I've only seen standard rooms here. They are spacious and clean and the bathrooms are nice and well stocked and I believe most if not all of the rooms have balconies.Nearby activities: Great location near Union Square and the Theater District also near the tenderloin, so don't leave anything in your car if you park here. I wouldn't even leave your car outside of their parking lot or it may not be there when you get back. SF does not have a ton of 24-hour activities and businesses like it used to but if you're going to find them it'll be near that hotel.Safety: Don't walk around this neighborhood altered alone or you are likely to be targeted for robbery or something similar. I would not leave my car there overnight if it was nice and definitely not if it had anything inside . Great for shopping but don't leave any valuables unattended. Great for bars and restaurants but a pricey area, better deals available within a mile or less.Walkability: Almost all of San Francisco is extremely walkable, the tenderloin is much dirtier than it used to be and it's not advisable to walk in anything other than closed-toed shoes and not provocatively dressed unless you like a whole lot of attention. Also keep your wallet hidden and be friendly but not overly friendly if it's late at night. You can see Union Square from a street performers, Broadway level theater, a lot of bars and restaurants and shopping and cable cars, Market street, the ferry building, the Embarcadero, Grace Cathedral and a lot of other great sites and stuff to do within easy walking distance although you might run into a lot of hills.Food & drinks: Available 24/7 at the hotel but very pricey. Available in the area also very pricey, again go to the tenderloin for better prices but keep your wits about you and hide your money. I would recommend going up to Polk street for Napoli Pizza, and other great restaurants and bars for a younger, "hipper" crowd at a lower price than the Union Square area, you'll be passing through the tenderloin to get there which is possibly too Hip for most people and much lower pricing unless you're buying drugs or ice cream. LolNoteworthy details: Most likely the largest hotel in the city, great location, clean professional Etc but much higher pricing than other smaller and possibly more fun hotels which may not offer the same amenities or hours.

Chuck H: 1st time staying with Crowne Plaza. The experience was deserving of 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately, on this visit, the trash truck woke up around 6 am. I was on the 7th floor, and I heard it like I was on the first. Also, the room had several defects in it. Like the dooor that gives you access to the mini fridge was broken. As well as no ventilation in the bathroom, so when I showered, the room was left foggy for some time. Other than that, it would have been 5 stars.

Georgina Nunn: Fantastic family owned and run hotel in the centre of San Francisco! Right near Union Square and the central cable car stops. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. 3 to 3.5 * property.Rooms: Heritage rooms do have an awkward entry, not vest for elderly and those with mobility issues. But they are nicer and have more amenities.Nearby activities: Cable car stops. Union Square. Shopping.Safety: Union Square is safer than I expected. Seems to have been cleared up a bit. I did not feel unsafe walking around at 11pm by myself as a female.Walkability: Walk everywhere, and you've got to love hills, though! Easy walk to cable car stop and you can buy tickets from it on the corner near hotel, or any Walgreens.Noteworthy details: As an agent, I have been putting many of my clients here. I will keep doing so knowing they will be looked after and comfortable.
Melissa Harris: This review is strictly for the customer service. From the front desk, to the maid, to the maintenance guy, everyone was wonderful.I've always said that customer service is everything, and these folks didn't disappoint!!! They even gave me a military upgrade.
רועי נוימן: A very nice hotel in great location!Friendly staff and big roomsA bit outdatedRooms: Big rooms but outdatedSafety: Feel safe
Christine Barbereau: Comfortable bedsSpacious rooms relatively quiet compared to outside noise, but corridors relatively noisy.Well located hotel. No breakfast offeredPrice paid on AGODA: 293 euros for 2 nights for 1 room with 2 queen-size beds
Guy L: Older style, well priced for location. Staff we're helpful, especially the maintenance staff who fixed a bit of a power socket issue for us. Very quickly and efficiently fixed. Concierge staff friendly, helpful and well versed. Comfortable beds and pillows. Parking is offered, but very expensive, as is all hotel parking in SF. Recommend for a short stay
Megan Fasig: and there was no actual construction/noise taking place during the weekend. It would not have impacted my decision to stay, but I would have liked to have been told in advance.Walkability: Easy walking distance to Chinatown and to the Big Bus Tour stop as well as cable cars & trolleys. Hertz Rental car pick-up was 2 min away around the corner.Food & drinks: April 2024 - No food or beverage outlets available; we picked up a few drinks/snacks at a nearby Walgreens; not an issue if only staying a few days and plan to eat out and take in the city as we did; if I was traveling on one of my week long business trips, I would book elsewhere.Noteworthy details: April 2024 - currently undergoing external construction on front of hotel, expect construction noise Mon-Fri 8-5pm; no noise Sat & Sun.

John Ko: Great location and service. Rooms are comfortable & clean but worn and needs updating. I’ve stayed here many times and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.Walkability: At the border of union square and Chinatown - easy walk to both. Also close to financial district.
Leo Díaz Longhi: Solid hotel. You won't miss anything in particular and you won't need anything else. But nothing over that. If you want to buy something inside the hotel is super expensive.Elevators are slow. It's a tall building.Rooms: Solid and comfortable rooms. Shows the wear of some time but they still are ok.Nearby activities: Middle of SF. Everything starts here. The beach is far, but there are almost no hotels thereSafety: Homeless people are everywhere in SF. Lots of drugs all day long. They won't do you anything, but it is an uncomfortable situation.Walkability: You can't be wrong in the middle of the city. Pay in advance for the public transportation and you'll get everywhere easily.
FaHaD ALSaMi: The location is suitable and close to services, Macys building, Apple and many international brands..The room was very nice. I lived on the 26th floor. The view is beautiful.. the bed is comfortable and the hotel is quiet..
Doug Gordy: The rooms are really nice. They are spacious and comfortable. The king bed was a nice quality and the turn down service rocked. They have a really nice setup with the TV where you can stream a device to it, so you don't have to mess with the hotel on demand stuff. The tub was a small thing where you really could just use it as a shower. The shower has a shower head that is adjustable in height. My wife is short and I am tall.... It barely reached my head. It is kinda out of the way from the hustle of downtown and honestly not a lot of restaurants that I enjoy were near. The front desk staff is absolutely amazing here and will bend over backwards for you. I would recommend staying here and probably will stay myself again

Dan Duperron: , though we did see some of the lunches more than once during the week.
Dyann Espinosa: Rooms: The rooms were spacious and updated. However, in my 9 days there, I didn’t have a full cleaning done. As I changed rooms, it worked out ok.Nearby activities: There was a grocery store and a retail shop very near by. Downtown restaurants were a quick ride away.Safety: The security personnel made sure I was careful when I would take my dog out in the evening. In the hotel I never worried.Walkability: It was easy to walk to the little shopping center.Food & drinks: The bar was always available, and the bartenders helpful. But other than that, the convenience store was hardly ever open-due to lack of staff I was told.
Matt Dewey: I don’t usually leave hotel reviews, but this one stands out as one of the better places for business travelers in the area around San Mateo, Palo Alto, and Redwood City. There are a lot of solid alternatives, but this one has the advantage of being a gorgeous, sprawling older format Marriott with a completely remodeled interior. The M club is also very nice. The entire property is very clean. Parking is easy. The restaurants on site are solid. The hotel itself is very easy to find and somehow manages to be very quiet despite being right next to the 101 freeway. You can open your windows without hearing much of any noise outside. This is a better Marriott property than the one over on Bayshore.Heads up: On at least one occasion, this Marriott somehow lost my reservation. It took some scrambling to correct the situation. They may be prone to accidentally overbooking so you may want to call to verify your reservation a day or two before you arrive.
Ryan Brehm: Great new rooms! Large hotel and close to SFO and San Mateo restaurants! Great lounge as well!Rooms: New and large rooms. Many suites available usually as well
Arturo Domingo Vásquez-Caicedo Quijano: PleasantSafety: Pretty sure
Melinda Buttle Cardona: Drinks are great. The food is a shame. It's a shame.Get a better menu. When your lobby is packed and you know it's gonna be packed: don't close your kitchen at 10pm. It's not a smart biz decision.Menu ideas:Get a better burger

Juliet Can: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard Marriott in San Mateo, for an 8-day business trip arranged by my company. Accompanying me was my 12-year-old daughter, who attends school online. Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we checked in, the staff displayed an outstanding level of attentiveness and care towards both of us. Their kindness and professionalism significantly enhanced our stay, making us feel welcomed and valued as guests. One of my primary concerns during the trip was the safety and security of my work laptops, which I had to leave in the room while I was out. I am happy to report that the security measures in place at the Courtyard Marriott San Mateo are exemplary. Not once did I worry about the safety of my belongings; everything was exactly as I left it, providing me with great peace of mind.Furthermore, the daily housekeeping services were remarkable. The cleanliness of our room was maintained to a high standard throughout our stay, contributing to a comfortable and hygienic environment. It's clear that the hotel takes great pride in its cleanliness and guest satisfaction.Overall, our stay at the Courtyard Marriott San Mateo was incredibly positive. The hotel's attention to detail, from guest service to room security and cleanliness, made our trip both enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the San Mateo area, whether for business or leisure. Their commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction is truly commendable.
Viridiana Espericueta: Rooms are clean and modern.Mini fridge in room.No microwaves which is a bit of a bummer.Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Will choose this for future travels.Walkability: Target, Ross, Marshall’s, Five below & many more stores within 20 minutes!
