Kathleen Pollard: One of the most beautiful parks in California. So many paths for walking, biking and roller skating, Japanese Gardens, De Young Museum, Academy of Science, rose garden and much more! Great place to bring your dog, too. Also, vendors selling pretzels , hot dogs, ice cream and drinks.
Lluis Higini Melero Peris: Modified._A few years ago we were in San Francisco taking advantage of a stay at a relative's house in the city. One of the places that could not be missed was Golden Gate Park. We visited the park on several occasions, lucky to be staying on Balboa Street. It has an extension of 5 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide, doing it in one day seems like an impossible mission, which is why the park has minibuses that travel through it. At one end of the park, delimiting the beach, are the two windmills on each side. During the various visits to the park we discovered new beautiful and unique corners, such as the Japanese garden decorated with pagodas and bonsai trees, with the area where a herd of American buffalo is located, as well as museums, botanical gardens and sports areas. There are endless things in that park. I can only describe it as excellent. I took photos of almost every corner, and since this park offers a lot, it is appropriate to make individual reviews.
Jota Ce: , greeting the bison... If you travel from east to west you end up in the sea.
Salma Bakr: Amazing park by all measures. A slightly larger version of Central Park in NYC. Tons to see and do. You can easily spend a full day there on weekends or weekdays. My kids especially like the bison paddock and the California Academy of Sciences. And I love the De Young museum and the botanical garden.
Berrin Cantez: It's a wonderful park, just be careful of the grass after it rains, some areas can be deeper and muddy than they appear.
Mon Sin-A (Mon-Si-A): Great place to be at. There are paid parking and street parking. Prepare jacket as it get cold.
Athira Raj: Great park to walk and scenic. Food trucks and event
Maggy C: It is a large and beautiful park where there is a lot to explore and enjoy. Trails and meadows, Academy of Sciences, Botanical Garden, Japanese Garden, Plant Conservatory, courts, sports, Academy of Arts, food carts, everything makes an exceptional place to have a special day for adults and children.
Wayman Wong: Hellsman HallowDog-friendliness: On leashPicnic area: Fully used
J M: The grounds are huge. The Japanese tea garden is gorgeous and tended with love. The area where they have live music had no grass and was pretty bare
Matty B: San Francisco’s iconic city park is truly one of my favorite things about living in the city. It’s huge and fully of little, hidden treasures! I go walking here at least twice a week and I’m constantly finding new things.Public restrooms: Yes Picnic tables: Yes …

David Nguyen (Duck): Nice trails along the coast. Also, there is an unleashed dog park, so expect to see many dogs. The incline can be steep for some people. There is ample parking in the main lot. There are portable toilets as restrooms. It can get windy at times with sand blowing in your face. Dress appropriately.Restrooms: Portable restroomsDog-friendliness: Off-leash friendly. Be cautious of cliffs if your dog doesn't have good recall.
Cooper the Bean: Great place to bring your dog for off leash excercise. You can catch the breeze along the coast and within just steps avoid the breeze.Restrooms: Outhouses in parking lot
Brett Williams: Dog-friendliness: Lots of cute dogs
Praveen Kumar C P: Dog-friendliness: Dogs can be left off leash. just be careful of cliffsPicnic area: sandy picnic area
mark stevens: It is one of the last few places where you can let your fur babies of the leash & have them really enjoy themselves. Plus the beach is nice, the views are beautiful, & the sunsets are spectacular. Worth visiting.
Molly Gibian: The best dog friendly trails around! Lovely views, path, and friendly people
Haozhu Wang: Dog-friendliness: Best beach to take your dog to run

Tommy Parker: The park itself and the area are my fav.Still not as good like used to be for the safety that is gone.
Michael Loud: Nice big areas for different sizes and breeds. Fenced, training circuit, nice.
Matthew Thorpe: Nicely equipped dog park nice people and fairly well behaved dogs😅
Gregory Luckert: Large, enclosed, dog run. Surface is mostly sand, with some cement and artificial grass. Great for throwing ball for your pup. Heavily used but clean and well-kept. Always a frien’ or two and sometimes dozens. Popular with dog sitters & dog walkers. Only complaint is water fountain. It takes a long time to get a bowl filled up.
Angie Aramayo: Shadow and I love this park! It's our go to space when we visit SF. It's clean with plenty of dogs and nice people. The small dog park is huge, so Shadow always gets a good workout there.
Stephanie DeLucca: Righr next to the famous Buffalo
Samuel Rodríguez: At 100 👌
Alexander Glavin: they really cleaned this dog place up
H B: A great park for outdoor activities and walking your dog!

Harmony Mancino: Beautiful and wild. If, like me, you have a dog without perfect recall, I recommend on leash hiking only. There are coyotes out at all times of day and night, in all areas of the park. For my medium size dog, he thinks it's a game to chase them. I use a long, 12 foot leash with him now and it gives me peace of mind.
Loui Valentin (Conjustojunkyardcity): Saved

Wilfredo Tortolero: Is nice
Mairéad Walsh: I really like this little park. It's got a great layout that maximizes the space so well. There's an untended community garden that seem like a waste of space.A fenced in playground that is clearly origional cause it's run down like plastic that outside for years but works just fine. However the floor tiles for safety definitely cause more damage than protection I fear.6/7 benches, a little wooden gazebo, a grass patch and some lovely bushes surrounding it.There's some great neighbours who take their dogs and kids to the park. There's some recreational drug and alcohol users most of the time however in the 10 years I've been going to this park with my dogs I've personally not experienced any bullsh!t that would make me want to avoid it or leave. But your mileage may vary.Playground: Structure is run down and faded but sound. The floor is bumpy and needs attention. The very back corner is a unofficial urinal.Restrooms: None. But plenty of bushes have been peed on.Dog-friendliness: Definitely dog friendly, great patch of grass for substrate specific dogs. There's often other dogs here however be careful sometimes there's little dogs off leash and you might not see them till they're "befriending" your dog.
faith raul: Playground: Muchos bolos
Juan Cruz: Very nice for children's games
Gabriel Alvarez: Nice & peaceful

Stefan Jon Silverman: to ponder the water and the view
Jennifer Keyes: It was beautiful!! My man went into the water !!!
Adrian Gaino: Smooth Spot
Timothy B. (Tim Bob): Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on leash only.
Joal Brudvik: off and on rain but that didn't stop the die hard swimmers...dolphin club I'm guessing. I count 13 in the water
Alejandro A. Carlos: I had such a good time with my family there.
Kenton Kwok: Great view for fleet week
K L: The water here is very chilly all year long. Some people go swimming, but you have to be very serious to try that. Most visitors to this park are just walking through on the path between Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. This is a good place to watch special events on the bay like the 4th of July fireworks and the Blue Angels air show.
David Miro Llopis: Very safe place to swim open water.

Amanda M: We visited this park a few years back. The kids had an absolute blast. Until one broke her leg. Dad was taking littlest down on his lap and middle decided she wanted to ride that way too. Nearly all the way down her foot fell off his lap and got caught between the slide wall and dad’s leg. Twisted and snapped her bone. Luckily there’s a children’s hospital close by. Still a positive memory overall for them. They loved how there was a pile of cardboard for use and the slides have drops so it was very exciting. Once you get going you’re on the ride til the end. And the neighborhood and park itself is really adorable. A true gem.
Deborrah Santillan: What a Lovely Day 😍🤩
L Dilley: Super cool slide and community garden. It's closed on Mondays though. They put gates up so you can't use the slides.
Greg Groeneveld: It's a long concrete slide with a nice view. Why not? Bring cardboard to sit on.
Jenny Lie: Super funny. If you walk there from Castro station you can also take a look at the beautiful area.
Tara Sosa (Tara Boo): 😝☆PARK CLOSED SUNSET-SUNRISE☆☆Signs say☆
Mudgett.33 On IG: Fun Place. Be sure to bring cardboard. Sprinkle sand at the top for extra speed. I've got scars from this place but I wear them with honor. Use the equipment as intended and you will be ok.
Adnan Khalil: Cute, tiny park! There is nothing to go out of the way for
Wally Yau: Kids love the concrete slide. Be sure to bring a card box for them to sit on.
