Brent Hong: which built my confidence when training on my own. I highly recommend James, especially if you’re looking to implement strength training to assist in other sports such as running! I always looked forward to my sessions and he was extremely accommodating when I wasn’t able to make certain training sessions.

Joshua Mayer: Great facilities and excellent trainers. I started coming to Custom Fit after tearing two discs in my lower back over two years ago. I began with solo training sessions for a year before my fiance starting joining me for partner sessions. The training regiments are “custom fit” to your needs, so in my two years there we have focused on core strength and lower back mobility while also getting in a full body workout. My current trainer Charles has been a true inspiration and i highly recommend him to anyone who thinks they lack the inner strength to overcome any physical adversity life has thrown at you.

Stephanie Chen Gulla: ...but James is soooo different. He's got incredibly welcoming energy, and is so good at ramping up to a pace that feels achievable, yet also pushes your limits. I immediately saw results without feeling beat up at the end of a workout.James also always shares with me the science and physiology behind what we're doing. He's helped me understand and recognize what muscle groups are working for each exercise, and that has made me infinitely more aware of my own body. We started with weight training because it actually burns more fat than pure cardio. And it was incredible to pretty quickly be able to lift my school-age son like it was nothing!Whenever I felt like I was plateauing because it was so hard to make time for exercise, James would brainstorm with me different approaches of incorporating activity with my schedule. Rory Gallagher: I just started with Custom Fit last week. Two sessions in and I am hooked. I have not been to a gym or had a personal trainer in 20+ years, so I was very nervous about it considering that I am fairly unfit. I’ve partnered up with Anthony Dandrea as my trainer and it’s been nothing short of amazing. The facilities are great. It’s not crowded and everyone in the gym is just doing their thing, so my fears of people watching me are totally unfounded. In two sessions, Anthony took the time to get to know me, hear about my goals, and then he met me where I am currently at with fitness. I know he will push me, but he delivers it in such an encouraging and positive way, it honestly feels like I just have a friend cheering me on from the sidelines. Just an excellent, flexible, highly skilled trainer and on top of that has physical therapy experience which has come in handy for my lower back issues and shoulder problems. He also adjusts my training based on my fitness habits outside of the gym, keeping a close eye on my hips and knees as I am an active walker/runner.On top of all of this, the DEXA scan was unbelievably insightful, showing my imbalances, my bone density, and my weak points based on my age. Dani Nava: I started my chiropractic journey with Dr. Mills in October 2021. I was experiencing a level 9 sharp and piercing pain in my left hip and lower back. I had tried yoga, traditional stretching and other means to help reduce and manage the pain. All of which did not help. My mobility was suffering and managing the pain was becoming my new lifestyle. After my first adjustment with Dr. Mills I noticed an huge improvement in my mobility and a decrease in my pain level. He diagnosed me with sciatica, gave me a set of at home stretches, and set me up on a treatment program. Dr. Mills was very informative and made my visits extremely comfortable. I was consistent with my office visits and home stretching. Fast forward to February 2022 and my pain is completely gone, my mobility is better then ever, and I’ve returned to all of my lifestyle activities. Dr. Mills and the staff at SF Custom Chiropractic are absolutely amazing and seriously saved my life.

Serina Chung: Dr J finds built up tension and misalignments that I didn’t know were there. He knows the movements common in Muay Thai fighters and explains to me what is causing what. All while working on fixing my posture and progressing the area around my bruised rib. He also fixes the knots in my neck that have caused headaches. The list goes on. Truly the best chiropractor, I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Hera Jiwa: Dr. Dzieszko hands down is an incredible chiropractor, and I plan to continue to see her at SF Custom. Not only does she creates a warm comforting environment for her patients she also has the strength, knowledge, and competence that surpasses chiropractors I have seen in the past. She is attentive listener and works with her patients to create care plans that are well suited for them. Dr. Dzieszko has helped me work through a prior back injury and she given me honest advice for my needs and physical therapy. I highly recommend her - look no further.

You will not find better.More details and context follow for anyone who might find themselves in the same place I did a year + ago when I started working with Audra.I hurt myself in a snowboarding accident on Christmas 2014. I didn’t realize that my rightmost lower floating rib had come a little loose, and x-ray convinced me it wasn’t broken, so I was to walk it off, and believed them.Grad school and then starting work took up most of my time 2015-2017. At first I thought that being sedentary or getting old or both were causing the stiffness. By early 2018 I was barely crawling along and didn’t know where to start seeking help.In late 2020, I found a chiropractor who wrung my musculoskeletal system out and lined me back up, but that kept falling apart.Chiropractor referred me to Corey from J Bodyworks, who helped me start building my strength back up.As my strength came back, the pain I lived with for so long started to recede, but I started experiencing a new type of pain: the type you experience when you’re strength training for the first time, and trying to build yourself back up.And that’s when Corey referred me to Audra. I don’t know where I would be now without her help. I never thought that strength training would lead to the kinds of muscle tension that required a sports massage, and wouldn’t have known what to do other than live with the pain and continue to believe that the damage was permanent.Worth mentioning. The only reason I’m even writing this review is because Audra helped me recover to the point that sitting at a computer isn’t torture anymore 😊 if it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be able to write this review 🙃To summarize: if you are strength training, and are experiencing soreness, tightness, or muscular discomfort of any kind, please do yourself a favor and reach out to Audra. One of my friend was bragging about her treatment with J and Luke and She got me enrolled. I booked an appointment and it all came down to this sentence: I did my body a favor! J definitely knows his job. He knows anatomy of nerves and muscles so well, that he can exactly trigger the right muscle to get the blood flowing or lubricate the joint. I highly recommend him for any sport/work related injury. Do your body a favor and book an appointment with him. Being a dentist and dealing with pain for many years, I had all sort of different treatments but I can say not everyone spends enough time to really explore your weak spots and knows how to manipulate those muscles so they would start working. Marlene Niles: As a trainer, Euridice Cuesta will forever have a lasting impact on my approach to exercise and personal trainers. I was very reluctant to get into a program with a personal trainer because I always felt the cost outweigh the benefits. I was a self-trainer and objected every time the subject came up. Then came Covid19 and I could not go to the gym. I was cooking and baking more and more, and the weight crept on. My blood sugar level skyrocketed and my daughter grew genuinely concerned. She signed me up for online personal training with Eury and I said, “yes I will try it out for one month”. Andrew Cohen: I've trained with 4-5 trainers over the years and Anthony C. is on some next level stuff. Seriously, I think most trainers focus on frying your muscles by utilizing heavy weights or so many reps where they loose track of counting... this is not what's happening at J Bodywork. They are focused on improving coordination and preventing future injuries by utilzing neurology in their workouts. If you been injuried or want to train smarter this is the place for you. I am certain it will be a different and better experience than you've had at other personal training gyms.

Alissa Yee: Euridice was AMAZING. During her strength class, she helped me fix my posture, and she took the time to review the basics. She introduced fun workouts that I have never done before, like arm wrestling while planking! During her mobility class, she helped me really open up my hips. This class alone improved my mile by 30 seconds, and I’m pretty flexible as is! I would recommend her classes to anyone who is looking to improve their strength, mobility and posture.

He has such an in-depth knowledge about the body and functional health, combined with amazing creativity around the variable ways his clients can reach their goals. More than anything, he is especially skilled at listening: he gets the full picture of where you’re starting, what you’re out to accomplish, and makes every effort to come up with a prescriptive, tailored approach just for you. If I describe something I’m having difficulty with, or discomfort somewhere in my body, he often blows my mind with the simplest of movements that unlock leaps in progress I couldn’t have imagined possible in one short session.

From consultation, to my first day of training, to the small group classes, I've learned so much about fitness and my own body during this process. Austin Chen: Best personal training you could get in SF hands down.Jae and his team offer a top notch studio with all the gear and equipment you would expect: squat racks, great weights, rogue bikes, boxing bags, etc.The trainers also offer a range of programs designed for your goals. Griff is hyper focused on mobility so that you are able to build up strength safely without getting hurt. Christina is a pro at powerlifting or olympic weightlifting training.I came in at 175 lbs and 30% body fat and am now closing 160 Ibs and 20% body fat!Very happy to have found this nugget in the mission.

I've been training with Griff and Benny and seeing great results and learning a lot! They listen to your goals and cater the program to fit your needs. I've been doing both in person and remote sessions over zoom in the gym and even dabbled with remote at home with minimal equipment when weather was atrocious. I was hesitant about the remote sessions at first but they actually turned out great! Would def recommend to anyone thinking about working with a trainer for the first time or for those looking to expand on an already solid fitness base.

The hybrid model is also fantastic for my lifestyle, as my fitness regime is not affected by travel. I can easily take a virtual session from anywhere. Ishita Arora: I've been training at J+K Fitness for nearly a year now and have loved my experience! My trainer Joe strikes the perfect balance of pushing me harder but keeping me motivated throughout my workout. Joe is also very knowledgeable when it comes to training with a prior injury. When I first started working out at J+K, I had some issues with my knees. Joe thoughtfully designed a workout plan to strengthen them and now my issues have completely disappeared.Jae, the owner, is friendly and really flexible when it comes to scheduling. The gym has both in-person and virtual training options and is very clean/respectful of COVID protocols. Highly recommend to anyone looking to uplevel their fitness!

Luis Caviglia: I'm a retired pro athlete and I have nothing but praise for J+K Studio and the team. Take aside their amazing training planning, customization to particular cases, creativity, fun exercises and constantly evolving routines. Their attention to detail, the way in which they adapted to the new health standards, and their overall human interaction makes this the best training studio I've every worked with. Five stars? Such standard doesn't even make justice to how great these guys are.

Brian Musial: Have been training with Jae for years. Helped strengthen my knee/hip post surgeries, and helped me shed unwanted weight in the process. I learn so much about how to train, and how my body responds to strength training and I love it all. The online training during a pandemic incorporates weights I have at home and my own body weight. Jae remains involved online, and I never feel like he's not giving his full attention to me - even via zoom. Highly rated.

Brian Ball: During my time at j+k I trained with Lee and coordinated scheduling thru Jae. Lee was always kind, professional and very results driven. Expect to be challenged! Lee was thoughtful about how to reach my fitness goals and I was able to see progress in a short amount of time. Communication with Jae about scheduling was easy and he was able to make accommodations with appropriate notice. Definitely recommend the j+k team.

Jonah helped me with my dizziness that I was having for over 10 years, which had been progressively getting worse and no one was able to figure out why. The best thing about Jonah, he doesn't shy away from complicated cases.In fact, he is quite the opposite, he Loves them! As soon as he started assessing my body points, he found points that were "off" and most probably related to my dizziness. In just one session, he has cut my dizziness symptom in half. I use to have to hold on to walls when I got dizzy, but not anymore. I don't even remember the last time I didn't need to stop like that.Jonah is a rare gem in the city. Most people in healthcare don't want to deal with complicated cases. They don't want to rack their brain and think beyond the normal protocol.
