Neil V: It's a massive hotel conveniently located near all the popular attractions, including Pier 39 and the Golden Gate. Rooms are decent, but wifi isn't free. It's about $14.99/day for non-members but $1/day for Marriott members. The Roof top bar on the 39th floor was amazing. Also, if you want to save some money then don't buy food or drink from the hotel as they could be expensive. There is Target supermarket just across the road.Rooms: The room was serviced daily and was very clean and tidy. Water pressure in the shower isn't that great, though.Nearby activities: San Francisco shopping mall, Target, Star Bucks, Super Burgers, Sales Force Tower. Macy's, Cheesecake Factory

rafal abdulnoor: Beautiful hotel , great location and amazing customer service . Will definitely book again when visiting SF !Walkability: It’s only a couple of minutes walking to union square , and a lot great shopping spots . Amazing dinning as well .Food & drinks: Tried the in house restaurant , the breakfast menu is delicious and the bar serves lovely cocktails

Ashok Sinha: Marriot, San FranciscoNestled in the bustling heart of San Francisco’s business and financial district, the Marriot Hotel offers a unique blend of comfort and convenience. This 4-star establishment boasts one of the best location on Union Square.Noteworthy details: Ideally located

Enes SEN: Stepping into the lobby of the JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square, you'd think you've walked onto the set of a swanky movie where every extra looks like they should be holding a martini. It's all sleek, stylish, and more polished than your grandpa's best silverware. The ambiance is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with plush seating areas that invite you to lounge like you own the place. Now, let's talk about the café here—it's not just a café, it's a lifeline when those San Francisco hills have done a number on your calves. Grab a coffee that’s as rich and smooth as the hotel’s clientele. Whether you’re fueling up for a day of sightseeing or need a quiet spot to check your emails, the café’s chic setup and strong espresso shots make it a prime spot to perk up. Plus, the baristas are so friendly, you’ll leave caffeinated and charmed, ready to take another lap around Union Square. So, drop by, sip slowly, and soak up the classy vibes—JW Marriott style!Walkability: Very Central.

Paul Román: Rooms: Excellent bedsSafety: Pretty sure

Jared Byrne: I regularly attempt to stay at Marriott Hotels on my travels, and this hotel is a great example of why: this is a nice hotel, that has been kept clean - and they have excellent, world-class service! Admittedly, I didn't attempt to use the Gym or the restaurant during my stay, so can't soak directly to those items. The reality that this Marriott is in an amazing location, with a lot to see at a short walk, is an added bonus.

José Manuel González: Went for a business trip. Good breakfast selection every morning starting 6:30amGood service across the board, free tickets to the cable car and dessert coupons.Quiet and cleanNearby activities: Touristic areas in a 2 mile radius and plenty of transportation options.

Dan Tiamzon: I have stayed here twice now and this hotel has always provided top tier hospitality and treated me with excellent service. Given the check in time is later in the afternoon, the front desk accommodated early check-ins arriving around noon. Front desk was very thorough explaining amenities and the hotel fees. Housekeeping team was very accommodating. Rooms are great, nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Great location, walking distance to the wharf with lots of activities to do.The management of this hotel deserves all the praise for this reason: I had a package shipped to the hotel but it didn't arrive until after I had checked out and left town. I contacted the hotel to see what they can do and the director went out of their way to bring the package to the mailing service to do a "return to sender". The package eventually made it back to me. I am a very happy customer and will be staying here again in the future.

Gabriella Rivera: The truth is that I had a very pleasant surprise, on the outside the hotel looks very dated and old, but inside it is modern, comfortable and very quiet despite being between streets that are very busy in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city, I don't know. hear no noise coming from outside.Rooms: Very nice rooms, very clean, very comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable of all the hotel beds I have been in. I slept like a princessNearby activities: It is in the center of the city, 1 and a half blocks from the street most visited by tourists, Embarcadero Street, close to many restaurants, clubs, church, everything is within walking distance.Safety: The security of the hotel is very good, very well maintained and protected, you have the option of being able to park your car inside the parking lot of the hotel building, although it has a high cost.Walkability: Super good location 👌🏼 to walk everywhere. It is in the center of the city, 1 and a half blocks from the street most visited by tourists, Embarcadero Street, close to many restaurants, clubs, church, everything is within walking distance.Food & drinks: It has room service, you can also have breakfast at the hotel with buffet service at an extra cost per person.

Shopaholic: and Pier 33 for Alcatraz. We also did the “Big bus” so we could see all the tourist attractions and the first stop was close by so that was convenient. Taking transit in the city was also pretty convenient from this location. If you’re from Toronto, it’s basically like taking the TTC. Overall great experience for our first time in SF!

L C: and trolly stops.Parking is valet only and costs $70 - $85, depending on the size of the car, but there are cheaper overnight parking lots found east of North Point St.Also, a $30 credit is given per room to use at their restaurant, but it's pricey and that credit will be used up quickly. We ordered 3 orange juices and 3 coffees and the bill was over $60. If using the credit to get coffee/juice, make sure you are not getting charged for the full breakfast/brunch.The general building was well kept, the rooms were clean and staff was friendly and attentive.

Arnaud Terrien: Perfect hotel for discovering San Francisco. Very well located not far from Fisherman's Wharf. Spacious and temperate rooms. It is possible to have breakfast either à la carte or at the buffet, offering a variety of choices ranging from sweet to savory, all of good quality but at a relatively excessive price. The servers and reception are smiling and attentive.

Dan Dvorak: . Decent towels. Plenty of USB and charging sockets.Walkability: Located pretty close to the cable-car turnaround and the Fisherman's Wharf. We walked to Pier 39Food & drinks: The hotel bar / restaurant was better than expected. Free sundae was nice.

NG Jr.: . my communication skills aren’t what they used to be.Nevertheless, the entire staff were polite, patient and respectful. As my Uber pulled up, Dein,  at the front door,, was there to greet me and help me out of my Uber.Throughout my stay, he would always ask if I was OK if there’s anything he could do for me.The next person that I met,  Amia the Front Desk Supervisor,  who is very patient and professional,. Amia checked me in and was kind enough to put me in a room on the first- floor, so I wouldn’t have to deal with any stairs or elevators. I greatly appreciated that, because of my lack of vision.Amia was also kind enough to let me know that if there was anything I needed, not hesitate to ask for her she would do her very vest to accommodate.A couple days after I arrived when I had a problem with my reservation, Amia looked into the matter and resolved my problem quickly.I felt that she could tell that I was very stressed because I had been displaced from my home, she was very sympathetic to my situation which helped take my stress away.In fact, the entire staff was very attentive.Erwin,  I believe  was a supervisor for housekeeping and  the food facilities, made sure that if I had any special requirements not to hesitate to ask him.I really enjoyed the fact that the hotel had a breakfast bar, the fresh fruit cups in the morning were my favorite. The best part of the breakfast bar was that it opened up again in the late afternoon for a couple of hours, so those of us who wanted a light dinner of hot sandwiches and other delights.Nicole behind the counter made sure that our food requests were taken care of.During my stay, I met some other guest who said every time they come to San Francisco. They stay at this particular hotel, which didn’t surprise me at all. What I thought would be a two or three day stay, turned into ten, which turned out to be OK because the staff were great!I can honestly say I received five star service from the entire staff, and I would not hesitate to Recommend this hotel to friends, family, and others.

ROME G: I had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott hotel recently, and I must say that my experience was made absolutely exceptional thanks to the outstanding service provided by Antoinnette. From the moment I checked in, she greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile, and her attentiveness throughout my stay was truly remarkable. Antoinnette went above and beyond to ensure that my accommodations were comfortable and that I had everything I needed to make my stay memorable. Her professionalism, friendliness, and genuine concern for the guests' well-being truly set her apart. I cannot thank her enough for making my stay at the Marriott hotel so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic experience, all thanks to employees like Antoinnette. Thanks,Roman & Melvin

Alexander Mena: It is a very large building

Chastity Percell: The staff were an absolute delight, every single person I came across. The rooms were small, but as expected for a city hotel in my opinion. The only reason I knocked a star off is since they kept running out of items. Didn't have all the items on their bar list, I ordered the last batch of wings at 7 pm when they serve food til I THINK 10 pm.

shun K: It's compact and has everything you need. The shower has good water pressure and the temperature can be precisely adjusted.I slept with earplugs because I could hear sounds from the hallway and other rooms.

Stacia H.: Trying to find parking was a bit difficult. You need your room key card to get into the building, up the elevator to your floor, and off course your room. Once inside, the room is beautiful and comfortable. Customer service was very pleasant to work with. They were able to hold our luggage while we went to eat breakfast and grab our vehicle.

Jake Spencer Hammel: Really enjoyed our stay here. The building has such great old architecture, but fully renovated and has a lot of great personality. Staff was great, really happy with the rooms and will def return.Rooms: Great size rooms with everything you need!Safety: Felt very safe here and you need your key to get everywhere so was a very safe stay, no issues.Walkability: We walked or rode bikes to lots of places plus the busses are right in front.Noteworthy details: The architecture was so cute! Classic with modern touches.

Takanori Ohkubo: for multiple hours. Hotel couldn't do anything about it, so I ended up checking out at 3AM and sleeping at the airport.

gaurav prakash: till the Golden Gate. Fisherman’s wharf is not far too. Take the bus or walk if you like long walks!

Michael: Beautiful hotel in the perfect location to explore all of San Francisco. The rooms are clean and modern, the staff is very friendly and helpful in every situation. There is a nice breakfast room with reasonably priced dishes and coffee.Parking is quite pricy like everywhere in this region.Special thanks to Manager Rodriguez for professionally solving issues!Rooms: Beatiful, clean and modern rooms.Nearby activities: Many sights closeby.Walkability: All the piers and access to the cable car system closeby.Food & drinks: Nice Breakfast room with reasonable prices.

Jim Donahue: We had a great time in SF, in part because the hotel's location was superb for a very reasonable price.Nearby activities: Pretty much everything is nearby: the wharfs, restaurants, cable car starting points, MUNI buses etc. We came & left by Amtrak using the Amtrak Thruway bus connection from Emeryville. We strongly recommend NOT staying in Emeryville as it's too inconvenient to get back & forth daily to SF sights!Walkability: Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy. Take the nearby Cable Cars up to the Car museum, Chinatown, Lombard St. etc

Bahrom Ahrorov: Location: 5/5

M J: The hotel is highly recommended. Admittedly, the view from the room of a parking garage wasn't that nice, but the location of the hotel is simply great. A 10-minute walk to Pier 39 and a cable car stop is not far.The rooms are large and clean and the staff is always helpful.Walkability: Fishermans Warf, Pier 39, Cruise Ship Terminal, Cable Car stop

Diana G: The room was clean and very spacious. I could see the bay from my window. Everyone at the front desk was friendly. It's a close walk to some restaurants and public transportation. A cable car is just around the corner, and the street cars are about a 5 min walk.Valet was pricey but it was convenient. One evening, there was an an influx of cars at the valet so the wait time was longer than the estimated 20 min. I went up to the valet and they were able to get my car in another 10 min. The attendant was kind and apologetic. He warned us to not keep anything in the car due to break ins around the city. 10/10 experience overallWalkability: Fairly easy walk to shops, restaurants, and different piers

Alfredo Reynoso: Excellent place, near all attractions in the area. Rooms are bigger than the pictures, not so many homeless, parking is expensive but what you going to do in a big city like SFRooms: Rooms are surprisingly bigger than I anticipated from the pictures, can’t complaint there, specially traveling with kids, Comfy bedsNearby activities: Close to pier39, Ghirardelli square, buena vista cafe and many options to ride cable car or muni bussesPlenty of options for food
