J: i learned a lot

Nisha Zemlin: I took the pasta, cookie and knives skills class and all were helpful and taught me amazing recipes that I cook at home now.

Sanel Selimovic: Great experiences and classes, a must for any foodie.

Salazar: Great facility. Great instructors. Great ingredients.

W B: I've been too cooking classes here many times and I always learn something new. Great chefs leading the class and great friendships made along the way with the other class participants. If you are in town for a few days, or a local this is the perfect place to go to learn how to cook a particular dish, or learn an overview of a regional style. You get to eat the food you cook after the lessons are all over and great wine is providedHighly recommended if you can fit it into your schedule. Classes, date, and, and times are posted on their website!

K A: Always an enjoyable afternoon or evening here, learning new dishes, meeting new people, and eating good food.

yanuar keren: Very good

Meredith B.: My boyfriend and I took Matthew Dolan's "Simply Fish" class last week. From the description, it seems the class will teach one how to cook the fish based on several flavour profiles and what's in season. This ended up being more of a "really fun activity class". Chef Dolan definitely told us where to buy good fish in SF, and taught us what to ask for from Whole Foods in terms of preparation, but it was almost a bit too casual. I would have preferred taking away a few fundamental skills. Great overall activity to do with a friend or significant other, and food was very fresh and contained clean ingredients!

Dan Dion: I took David Groff's 3-night class in "Fish and Shellfish Fundamentals". I thought I would come out of it with several great seafood recipes that I could feed my family. How wrong I was! This class teaches you all of the TECHNIQUES and manner of cooking fish and shellfish- poaching, smoking, frying, etc. I thought I'd be able to go to a fish counter and always find a fish I could cook. Instead I now look at the fish counter and know a couple of different ways I could cook EVERY fish and shellfish. I feel like an entire section of the grocery store has now opened up to me to create restaurant-quality meals.David is a knowledgeable, humorous, skillful teacher, and the classes are 80% hands-on. The fish we worked with were of the highest quality. A bit of wine at the end lubricates the group and everyone sits down for a seafood feast each night. I highly recommend this class.

Jimmy Cheung: Excellent cooking class. Friendly instructors, large clean kitchens, and plenty of kitchen supplies/utensils.

A stunning location with gorgeous view, intimate homely setting beautifully decorated, a gracious and 'on a mission' host who juggled a team of 16 remarkably smoothly. The combination of cooking, instructions, mingling and no pressure to get involved is what made this a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend it to groups of people looking for something unique and memorable.

Ashley Hayes: Emily is amazing! An incredibly hospitable chef, with knowledge for new and seasoned cooks alike. Great for big groups and birthday parties.

The crown jewel piece of our Team lunch at 18 Reasons was the apple pie topped with ice cream. So light, so tenderly crispy, just enough to make your taste buds perform a happy dance and send you home with a memory of a great mid-April afternoon spent in the company of amazing people! I’m looking forward to our next Team outing at 18 Reasons and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves great food for soul and stomach!

J H: Sunshine was energetic and funny while getting 15 of us to a cook 4-course Thai meal. The food was so delicious and we had a great time! I didn't think I could cook such food but I will try at home soon! Highly Recommended!

Naomi Lempert: Sunshine is amazing! I hosted a group of colleagues for a retreat in SF and 15 of us went to Sunshine's class. We all loved it! The space is lovely, Sunshine is fun and smart and keeps it moving. We made an appetizer, entree, and dessert - all delicious and totally possible to recreate now that we know how to do it! Sunshine's cooking classes are a total gem. If I could give more stars, I would!

Rachel Goldschmid: The food you make is delicious, but Sunshine is the star of the show. When I showed up for a company event, I had no idea what a treat we were in for. Sunshine is hilarious and because of her energy, the experience is extremely fun and joyful. She made cooking Thai food very un-intimidating. I hope to take another class in the future and would highly recommend this experience!

Morgan Prenger: . We made a papaya salad, pad Thai with shrimp, and Kanom Krook for dessert.Everything was prepared and ready to go, and Sunshine instructed us throughout the whole meal.

Theresa Rust: Booked private event for my company, and Sunshine made everything easy. Building is very unassuming.Gorgeous space inside, and Sunshine led 19 of us through cooking our own delicious Thai food.Have folks with allergies? Let her know and they can cook separately for their own safety. She's got your back every time! One of my people even said it was like cooking with his mother.

Celina Carroll: Sunshine is very informative, very clear, very funny, lightly intimidating but in an excellent teambuilding kind of way. I learned a lot, 10/10 would recommend.

Kevin Kotzen: Had so much fun cooking with Sunshine. She has a great energy and an endearing sense of humor. Excellent group activity.

nikki gress: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThis was the best cooking class I’ve taken, and I’ve taken a ton. Very authentic and a wonderful teacher. Andoni Urtasun: I am not a regular reviewer but I have to make an exception. Cooking with Sunshine is a wonderful experience.First, the food. I like fresh and spicy food, which is why I love Thai food. What we prepared was delicious, on the top of any previous Thai I've had. After trying her Pad Thai, I can't order it in restaurants anymore, it's just another level!Second, the cooking and the atmosphere. Sunshine is a great hostess and she made us feel relaxed from the start. She is very dynamic it was a lot of fun to be there. I have repeated and I am sure you will too!

michelle crath: The SFBI experience is truly exceptional. Every aspect of the 3 weeks I spent at SFBI exceeded my expectations. The kind a helpful administration team will guide you through their wide range of course offerings and help you to pick those that are best suited to your needs. You will receive the highest level of instruction in a welcoming environment and leave at the end of each day with not only a wealth of knowledge and skills, but the most delicious products you have ever tasted. I highly recommend SFBI for both professional and non-professional bakers.

Kate Radosevic: I’ve been using the Advanced Bread and Pastry text book for years in the production bakery setting, and finally had a chance to attend the Artisan 1 class earlier this month. Wow! The curriculum, instruction, staff, production team, equipment - all of it made for an excellent learning experience that somehow made me even more excited about bread and pastry than I already was. Big thanks to the whole team who shared so much with us! Can’t wait to come back for more.

Robert Sharp: The two day course “Viennoiserie” was most enlightening. I came away with the knowledge and confidence to create a variety of pastries far in excess of what I expected. The course instructor is a true professional baker who left no question unanswered. The instruction is well worth the tuition. You too can be a baker.

Gabriel Barrera: IT'S A CRAZY THING.... VERY DELICIOUS.. VERY GOOD SERVICE THE BEST COFFEE PASTRY IN ZARAGOZA

Justine Nghiem: Amazing experience for both pro and home bakers . I took 2 courses and plan to take more

Juliana Chea: I just took the Artisan 1 systematic approach to bread making class with Stephan Barbiero and it was AMAZING. I would consider myself a pretty experienced home baker with regard to cookies, cakes, scones and the like but had always been too intimidated by bread to try it at home. This five day course taught me so much. Stephan is an incredible instructor who broke down very complex information in an easy to digest way, continually checked for understanding of concepts and created a very hands on, open environment for students to do/touch/make mistakes and ultimately learn! The course is not for the faint of heart - it is both physically and mentally challenging but well worth it to tap in to Stephan’s knowledge. Wonderful experience that’s equipped me to be a more confident baker - if you are thinking about it, think no more!

Dee P: A wonderful place full of wonderful, caring, knowledgeable people! Can't wait to come back!

Freyka Arcentales (BiaMar Food): Highly recommend, if you want to learn bread and bread business, don't miss out!I read in a review that someone could not pick up the pace with the instruction, that is completely not true! The course is well designed and structure to perfection, they thought as many different type of breads and what is more important they thought us a different technique with each! So that later we can apply ourselves and be bakers! Bakery is a fast paced business, baking at home is also for a fast pace mom! This course is great for both.

Roshan shakya: Positive Professionalism

Marcus Costa: Perfect

Jean Keane: Excellent , I enjoyed and learned so much about baking.

Hen Pastry Chef: The best place in the world! I already take 3 courses in the SFBI and I probably go back for more !The programs are very interested and informative you learn a lot !! And make a lot of stuff!Don't think twice if to go or not Im sure you won't disappointed! The teachers are super nice have a lot of knowledge ! Very professional and super patient

Ángel Cas: Best school for artisanal baking in the country.

Julie Garlikov: We loved our cooking party at Home Chef. Chef George and his team hosted a "Chopped Challenge" event for our 13 year old daughter's birthday. The staff was super well organized, they managed the kids beautifully and everyone had a great time. Most of the kids had never cooked before and they provided plenty of instruction and freedom to create. We can't wait to have another event here and recommend the venue and staff highly.

Cari Jaquet: were really spectacular...and more importantly, we got to be together, laugh, learn in a really safe, clean environment. I would highly recommend this.

Kristi Royse: Our networking group had a wonderful time and I highly recommend the cookoff challenge for a fun team building and bonding event. Yummy food too!!

Casey Levine Bigger: We had a great time attending a dinner class for a work team building event. The instructors were organizied and helpful, guiding everyone through the steps required to meal prep. I think everyone learned a thing or 2 about cooking techniques - and we all enjoyed participating in something for a good cause. I removed a star as we had a REALLY large group, my first guess being that it was larger than usual. Our session was booked 6-8pm but because of the number of people and amount of food we didn't eat until after 9pm. After a whole day of meetings and then cooking your own food, it made for a really long day as you can imagine. Would definitely do this again and can't say enough good things about the experience and staff involved, as well as the recipes they picked.

Nick Basso: birthday party

Cyril Possa: Great Team Building Event. We signed up for a group class, and it was a fun and well done cooking experience. George is extremely friendly and provided us with all the right accommodations including cheese, crackers and wine.

Adrian Jauregui: The venue was great and the Staff was amazing. My whole Team had a great time. Would definitely go back again.

Rena Santos: Great experience with Home Chef Cooking School for our team dinner! The space was perfect, the food was great, timing was right, and it really brought our team together in a fun way. Would definitely recommend

Quinn Perfetto: We did the pasta from scratch class. Teacher was great and the food we got out of it was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nicole Haggerty: We did a company event here for 40-50 people and went with the Chopped Kitchen Challenge. Everyone said it was their favorite company offsite they had attended! Chef George was friendly, accommodating, and responsive from the beginning, and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. The rest of the staff was fantastic as well. We were super impressed with the venue and Domenico's Winery as it was beautiful and plenty of space for our group size. Highly recommend! My only critique is that the photos they take on the iPad come out a bit blurry due to lack of flash. I recommend having them take pictures on a personal camera or phone instead.

Mike Harms: Four words: Kids Birthday Baking Competition! Went to an amazing birthday party for a 10yo where the kids were broken into teams which competed in cake decorating and cookie baking. There was judging, a winning team was declared, and then they ate up all the entries. Mad fun was had by all. Home Chef Cooking School is a fantastic option for a creative birthday party.

Kimberly Zuehlke: What a great experience! Chef George created a wonderful experience for our staff appreciation day. Everyone cooked, laughed and enjoyed a wonderful meal that they helped to create. Great team building and lots of fun. The chefs are very knowledgeable and have great interpersonal skills. I can't wait to take some individual classes as well.

Marcy Black: Our company had a team building event there for 18 people. This is a very well organized business. I highly recommend this for your next event. The chefs are very informative, professional and the entire staff was very helpful and polite. We ended up eating a terrific meal. Totally awesome experience!

Yianni Babiolakis: Took the "College Cooking Class" and had a wonderful time! Learned some great cooking tips and had fun doing it!
