Jason Ross: Ozumo was a fantastic dining experience. Definitely pricey, but 💯 worth it. Great food, great atmosphere, and service.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for kids younger than tweens, because the food is unlikely to appeal to them.
Cho Lee: Ozumo is an exceptional restaurant that offers the best Japanese dining experience in San Francisco. If I were to describe my impression in one word, it would be "amazing."First and foremost, I must mention the quality of the food highly. The dishes I ordered were made with fresh ingredients and prepared using exquisite cooking techniques. The sushi, in particular, stood out with its remarkable freshness and deliciousness. I recommend the fatty tuna nigiri and the tempura shrimp.Furthermore, the service at Ozumo is outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly and provided us with attentive hospitality tailored to our needs. They took the time to explain the dishes and offered suggestions for sake pairings. The ambiance of the restaurant is also exceptional. The modern interior design skill fully incorporates traditional Japanese elements, creating a serene atmosphere. At the counter seats, you can witness the skilled hands of the chefs and enjoy the experience of having fresh sushi prepared right in front of you.Overall, Ozumo is undoubtedly one of the finest Japanese restaurants in San Francisco. The quality of the food, the level of service, and the pleasant ambiance all contribute to an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend visiting Ozumo. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also outstanding. The modern interior incorporates Japanese elements, creating a calm atmosphere. If you sit at the counter, you can watch the chef's work up close and enjoy fresh sushi right in front of your eyes.We hope that your desired translation will be helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Jean Marc Mbouma: Never forgot the sushi dish I ate there
Emmie Chan: Absolutely fantastic and amazing! My husband and I eat a lot of Japanese food, especially sushi. Trust me when I say this place is fantastic! We ordered tempura and the Watermelon Roll--but were astonishing! If it weren't for googling food ideas we wouldn't have found this place because they are a tad hidden on Market St. Great find with great food!
Hal Tily: For the price, this is hands down the best sushi in SF.
Rick Audet: Creative sushi rolls and tasty bento boxes. Love going here for lunch.
Kenneth Bradley: Food was excellent and so was the service. Very fresh.
Tayo Oguntebi: Good service and sushi. Not crowded compared to other sushi spots.
Stephen Maher: excellent food and service. one of my new favourite places. will definitely be back!!!

Zach Dachtler: Delicious sushi! Try the moon dawg roll. Great service! Very cozy neighborhood/family spot that is also family run. Perfect experience.Recommended dishes Miso Soup, 6 pcs …
Tommy Mansfield: Really good, fresh fish. Very authentic - my Japanese mother kept saying “this is a REAL Japanese restaurant!”Staff was kind and friendly, atmosphere was great. Meal was a little pricey, but not overpriced for the quality. One of the best low key sushi spots in the city

Cynthia Colas: This place is beautiful in every way and their sushi is super fresh; I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a quality sushi restaurant in San Francisco.
Lily: Probably one of the more creative in presentation ! This place is worth the visit. It had classic things like uni and chutoro/otoro/ salmon eggs. The wagyu was yummy. The reservation was easy not sure what the purpose of the 8pm vs 815 reservation is. I noticed that everyone at the omakase bar was eating at a different pace. Some that were served first end up being served last as the dinner progressed on.The dress code is semi causal, my bf wore jeans .The omakase here is interesting as there are 3 chefs and each of them will serve 2-3 couples. Unlike other omakase I have been to, this one is less informative. They do mentioned some of the cuts here and there. The interaction with the chef is minimal Towards the end, he will ask if you want more or less rice and if you want to order anything else.I would say out of the omakase places I have been to, this one has the most amount of food. Also loved that ther dessert isn't a sweet tamago nigri!
St Aubyn King: What an experience. I found this place after arriving in San Francisco with no dinner reservations. I was not aware of the cost of meal until after I was seated and had already ordered something to drink. I was like what the hell, but after taking a few deep breath and realized I may never experience this as I don't think I will be making it to Japan anytime soon. The service was awesome as they explained each dish, it was sometimes hard to understand what they were saying. All the dishes were delicious and fresh. I was almost full half way through, but made space as the food was so good. Would I do this again, maybe not because of the price, but was so glad for the experience
Jeff Wallace: This was one of the best dining experiences of my life. And I’m old! Everything about Kusakabe was excellent, everything. The restaurant was warm, friendly and inviting, like you were eating at a friend’s home. We had a great conversation with our chef, our server recommended some great sake and all 18 courses were spectacular.Highly recommended, put Kusakabe on your bucket list, you will not be disappointed.
Jason Eng: Wow. An incredible omakase experience! Had the 18-course dinner, sitting at the chefs counter and I could not be more impressed by the quality and creativity of the food presented! Each course was distinct, delicious, flavorful, and there was nothing “basic” or “common” that was served. My favorites were the chawan-mushi, otoro, uni on uni, Hokkaido scallop and uni, Kyoto-style pressed saba, kelp-cured flounder fin… and more!A few minor critiques: the wagu sukiyaki was tender and delicious, but tasted too sweet. The miso soup was overly salty. And the yuzu sorbet had nice flavor but was served hard like an ice cube.Would definitely return to dine again. Recommended.
Gino Diaz: It's really my first Omesake! We went with my wife to celebrate Valentine's Day ❤️; And well, I had already investigated the place: 🍣 🍣 🍣 with a Michelin star it sounds attractive!!! So let's go.We first had to make a reservation in advance...approximately 1 month. We arrived easily on foot and because we arrived punctually, they welcomed us cordially in Japanese. The traditional suchi bar in good wood finish and behind it; The different chefs are very busy preparing the different dishes. We opted for one of 19 that included dessert! We found the cost reasonable for a culinary experience that truly is a symphony of unique and sublime flavors for those who love suchi. The Omesake Master was present...supervising all the actions...which never stopped...because it was a parade of exquisite dishes...they were all spectacular, but there were always some that stood out the most. We prefer a light beer to Sake... and at the end of the agreement, we decided to try wagyu A5!! Don't miss it...and you will definitely repeat the experience. Saluti a tutti 😎.
Erica (EVLove11): , that dinner is a whole heck of a lot cheaper than buying an airplane ticket to Japan in order to find anything close to this authentic. And with the intimate, high diversity, fixed course experience that they serve, the price is a necessary to cover their costs of staff and low table turnover. If you are a sushi snob

Anna Ng: Came here for a family dinner, we got a bunch of different dishes. We got ramen, 2 bento boxes, and several different kinds of sushi rolls. My favorite is definitely their rainbow sushi! Tasted good and love the presentation!Overall Rating: 10/10
Koji Ogino: I wonder how the general is doing. Thank you for your help in the past.
Robert Peterson: great service, good tofu and vegan options and vegan ramen. I felt like the flavors could have been richer but when I had an issue with my order

Marisa: I really liked this place! Came here on a Wednesday at 7:30, place was empty but that was nice. Slowly a couple of more tables filled up. Nice light music was playing in the background, I like the decor and the place was clean. The waiter was very friendly and served us hot tea and water right away. The food prices seemed to be normal higher San Fran prices. So it was what I expected. And no surcharge! Which I appreciate. For two people we got edamame, salmon teriyaki dinner, lion king roll and love roll. That was enough food for both of us to share.Since we were sharing the salmon dinner the waiter had it cut in half and given on two plates of sizzled onions which was very nice. The teriyaki sauce was delicious. Salmon was salmon and nothing special. I liked the sizzled onions a lot. The salad and soup it came with had great flavor and fresh. The love roll was my favorite. I liked the flavor and texture a lot. The lion king roll was spicy and I didn’t expect that, I’m not crazy about spicy things so I didn’t really eat much of that one.It was a great dining experience and I would come again!
Nick Morris: Food was good but expensive for the quality/quantity
Chen Liu: is nice. Good quality salmon sashimi with big slices. Steamed shrimp shumai is also great.Recommended dishes Miso Soup, Chirashi Don …
Rachel Cipkins: Not terrible not great. The price for an avocado roll seems a little steep to me. But the rolls are a decent size
Robert Hill: Nama is always good. If you're up for something super rich you really have to try the Love roll or the Mango Lobster roll. Just incredible
D: Slow service. We asked for dishes to come out over time as they were ready, but they insisted on waiting until everything was all ready.

Nick Wang: which was tasty. The romeo and juliet roll was also great, highly recommend. The family affair roll was also amazing although I'd try the Romeo & Juliet roll over it.Our group also tried the Agedashi tofu which was what you expected. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious.
w foodie: We came here for lunch and had an excellent meal! We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and the quality and consistency has stood the test of time. We ordered the warm sake, shrimp tempura roll, spider roll, 49er roll, double hamachi roll, rainbow roll, salmon sashimi, salmon special, chirashi, mochi ice cream, and green tea ice cream. Everything was delicious, and we will definitely continue coming back when we’re back in San Francisco!

A. Ko: Driven by Yuubi for a while and decided to stop! We had a great experience here and will be back! Appetizers and side salads were pretty decent but wish we had a few more pieces of geso karaage to share! The wagyu and tuna tataki was tasty and worth another try the next time we are there. The rolls were nothing spectacular but standard as far as rolls go. My friend loved the chicken katsu dinner and felt it was perfectly fried for his taste. The poki salad had a lot of different fish in the bowl and was a tad over sauced but otherwise another ok dish. The fish in the Chirashi was good and fresh. We threw in a waffle for dessert since we were curious. It’s a tiny waffle so definitely not something to share.
Alex Wong: Fresh, amazing, and fun! Check out Yuubi if you're looking Japanese food that stands out. We had an awesome experience...in food, service, and atmosphere. By the way...the full size tuna collar? Reserve it...then bring lots of people to help! It's rich, moist, and perfectly grilled. The sashimi was fresh and delicious as well with great selection and variety! Highly recommended!
Cori Coccia: This is my favorite sushi restaurant in San Francisco. And I've tried dozens of them in my 25 years living here! They prepare their dishes with more care, creativity and artful attention to detail than I've seen at other restaurants and they are as delicious as they are beautiful. The staff are kind and efficient, led by skilled chefs and the ambience is spacious and comfortable. I think this place gets overshadowed by more trendy nearby sushi restaurants but it's honesty better! Try it!
Jessica Ponte: The food here is great. We had the nigiri omakase and it did not disappoint. Fish was fresh, flavorful, and decant. We also go the 501 & Warriors roll. Everything was fresh. The rice to fish ratio was perfect. Sometimes you get too much rice, this was not the case. The service was great. Ambiance… well, we came here for the food. Will be coming back for sure!
