stephen hickey: has been coming to Zanshin Dojo for three years and loves it! Mirko Sensei and all the instructors are great with kids.

Megan Kelly: included. Each class, you will not only benefit from Sensei's tremendous all-levels instruction but will also receive 1-on-1 mentoring from black belts in the class.I was nervous to get started, but quickly found that I loved my time at the Dojo. If you're thinking about it, put yourself out there and try something new with Zanshin Dojo!

Jordi Covas: Our neighborhood dojo. Couldn't be happier with the experience that our 8 years old is having. Exercise, focus and discipline is what he needed after 18 months of lockdown.

Minko Gechev: I'd strongly recommend Zanshin dojo. Sensei Mirko has very deep expertise in traditional goju-ryu karate and applied techniques. The community around the dojo is friendly and respectful!

Dennis Busche: I have been a part of Zanshin dojo for more than 15 years—-Sensei Mirko is world known and renowned, as a technical and giving martial artist Master Instructor.Zanshin specializes with children as well adults in GoJu-Ryu style.I would recommend anyone would benefit from Zanshin practice.

Tom Hume: Great teaching, a friendly, diverse group of students, and training both indoors and outside in Golden Gate Park. Training here kept me active and sane throughout the pandemic, and my 4yo daughter also enjoyed the kids classes.

David Barrios: Great community and has been very active during the pandemic through use of video-based and outdoor classes. My daughter loves sensei!

Adam D'Ambrosi: I've trained in various martial arts styles over the last 17 years, both in the US and in Japan. Zanshin Dojo is one of the best martial arts schools I've come across in all of my training and travels. Mirko Sensei has an incredible command of Goju Ryu Karate and is also a fantastic teacher. The students are friendly and have formed a nice little community that is very welcoming to newcomers. If you are looking to begin training, or if you have experience in martial arts and are looking for a new place to train, come join us at Zanshin Dojo!

Scarlet Passer: Zanshin dojo is amazing. It's not often that you see a place thriving during the pandemic, but Zanshin has done a fantastic job of resuming activity while taking the highest COVID precautions. Their outdoor classes are great for absolute beginners all the way up to high degrees of black belts. If you're looking for a place that facilitates physical growth and doubles as a welcoming community you should definitely check them out.

Lawrence Williams: My nephew is so thrilled by their new friends, nice community

Matt Weeks: and also next door to a very hip coffee roastery and bar.Kids programs, adult classes, parties and special events, and numerous types of classss keep the place vibrant and always fresh.Come, take off your shoes, don a white uniform, leave your daily distractions outside the door and enjoy moving your body and clearing snd cleansing your mind.-Matthew Weeks

xan devoss: An amazing community of people! Quantum is a safe place to learn movement, flexibility, and integrity. My child and I have both been students for 4 years and the schedule allows us to have classes at the same time. Recently she said, " I wish all the kids at school were like my friends at karate."

Poonyatorn Suthipongchai: tear, and sweats together. If I had to pick any other place to start my martial arts journey, it would be at Quantum

S B: A really lovely place to train body, mind, and spirit, to challenge yourself, and to meet cool people! The fighting style is practical and the community also has a deep respect for the artistic part of “martial arts.” Check it out!

Michael Shehane: I have trained at Quantum Martial Arts since 2012. If you are looking for a inclusive, community driven dojo that practices the integrity of martial arts, this is the place for you! The first week is free, so you can decide if the dojo and you are the right fit. Stay for 6 months, stay for 12 years... everyone's karate journey will look and feel differently. There are classes almost every day of the week. After 13 years of practicing here, yes - I have a black belt. I have taken a leadership role with the hope of inspiring the next generation of budding martial artists. But what drives me to train is not only the black belt master, Rachael Evans, who consistently shows me the beauty of the movement, but also the community we have here of advanced martial artists honing their craft, taking their athleticism to the next level, and sharing techniques from cross-training.

Taiseer Assana: Very nice place for kids people who work there is very nice thank you

Julia Moyer: Two years at Quantum has taught me an unbelievable amount about myself and how I engage with the world. The dojo is an inclusive, non-competitive, and safe space to learn, grow and be challenged. I would recommend classes to any adult or child interested in martial arts or seeking a welcoming community.

kyslett kacel: My children really like this place

Andrew Uthman: Great new and expanding facility, and an assortment of new adult and kids classes makes it a great time to get involved at this friendly, inclusive, and non-competitive martial arts studio. Parents, check out the concurrent adult and kids classes.

Jacob Hoffman-Andrews: Walking in the door I felt immediately welcomed and peaceful. I've been a student here for 10 months now, and I've been challenged mentally and physically in ways that are totally new to me, but have felt incredibly safe the entire time.

Victoria Elizabeth Wobber: This place is the best! As an adult learning martial arts for the first time I couldn't have asked for a safer space to do so. Spending time growing my skills here has made me healthier in every sense. So fortunate to have stumbled my way into this amazing community!

Raphael “El Rapha”: Good services

Sara Popovich: Warm, welcoming, and powerful this experience is worth checking out.

Rachel Ceasar: Quantum is unique blend of traditional styles developed from Master Evan’s 30 years experience in martial arts. Rachel Evan’s takes a holistic approach to martial arts where you develop your body, mind, and spirit. Beginner classes start with a 45 minute warm-up with yoga and calisthenics then move on to an hour of going over the basics of Quantum martial arts, which is heavily based in Tae Kwon Doe.

Fanny Auge: What a nice martial art school ! Both of our two boys love it ! Thanks to the whole incredible team 🤗

Allyn Beltran: We were sold after the trial lesson. After one lesson, our daughters felt empowered and excited to learn. They came home asking when their next lesson would be. Highly recommend.

Asi Afuhaamango: One Martial Arts is amazing. The staff here are amazing and provide stellar support. Initially when we started classes here we were under the assumption that this would be only for summer but my son has enjoyed his classes so much that we decided to go for a full year and longer. My son started off as being shy and could be full of energy, as any other 6 year old could be, but now he has learned much self control as well as more confidence and independence. He is excited to go to classes and even is upset when he misses a class. I am grateful for the life lessons being taught here. Important life values such as respect, responsibility, and much more. I am excited to see my son grow as he continues here with OMA.

Julia tolikevideo: I like karate 🥋 David 9 years

Margarita Hernandez Valle: ONE Martial Arts has been an amazing program to our daughter. She has learned a lot from the helpful and friendly staff through the summer camps and Kata classes. We can tell a significant difference in her performance at home and the way she interacts with her peers. I definitely recommend this program to those who are thinking of joining.

Komal Bawa: are consistently improving their focus and confidence.Highly recommend OMA! The kids literally can't wait for their classes each week!

Timothy Whitehurst: at OMA for my twin girls who lately have have struggled with listening and they also lose interest pretty quickly. The instructors are great, always speak to the kids about how to treat others with 100% politeness/respect and they make it really fun to participate. I have to admit, I learned a lot from OMA on the parenting side too. Each week the kids receive a different patch

Jill Fehrenbacher: My kids always had fun at these classes.

Andi Trindle Mersch: Our son has built up incredible confidence, focus, and physical strength at One Martial Arts. They have become part of our village.

Stacy Del Monte: and we are going on two years now. They love it and have grown to embrace the challenges, love to practice, have made friends and has helped with their confidence. It’s a great place to build on community and everyone there is very friendly and really invested in the kids success.

The annual tournament is always a positive growth experience as well, much appreciation for this place and all of their SF staff!

lidia lozada: Excellent!! My children love their classes here. All sensei are dedicated and friendly.

Barb Sf: I've been taking self defense classes here for couple months before I needed to move back to Spain and I highly recommend the place and the classes with JT! I learned a lot and I gained confidence and security in myself.Thank you so much,Barbara

Edwin A: JT teaches you the skills needed to protect yourself. You’ll be walking out the door feeling more confident and better prepared in defending yourself.

sara jennison: Great dojo! Sensei Collins is world class. Our daughter earned her brown belt after years of devoted, supportive coaching. She started a women's self-defense club at her school as a result of this wonderful education @ USSDSF.

Sara Byrne: USSD on Lombard is the highest quality instruction I could ask for. The instruction in the classes is amazing and highly advise the self defense class for everyone. Any time spent with JT is informative, motivational, and highly instructive!!

G C: We’ve been members of this dojo for several years and highly recommend it! Sensei Collins is an excellent instructor and an even better mentor to all of his young students. Having grown up around martial arts myself, I am continually impressed and thankful that my kids are part of this program.

Abhinav (AB-NOW): Great Dojo. Sensei Collins is the best teacher one could hope for. Always calm, patient, focused, knowledgeable and understanding. He makes sure every second in the dojo counts. For me it has been a lifestyle change since I joined almost two years ago.Looking strong and being strong are two different things. That’s what you learn at the dojo. With bad people on the streets, I highly recommend to join USSD SF and learn the intricacies of Self defense and karate in its purest form.

Campbell Barbee: USSD SF honestly changed my life. Sensei Collins is the real deal. Cannot say enough about what an amazing experience training there was!

Larry H: What a wonderful place. I had two sons in the program. One of my two sons excelled incredibly to the point where he demonstrated for the dojo but my other was young and then had difficulty concentrating. To USSD's credit, they encouraged my younger son who never felt left out and always made it fun yet instructive. My friends felt their son might be bullied as he was a meek kid so they put him in classes to follow my son. When their son quit some 14 years later, he was a karate expert and I pity anyone who would try to bully that kid who grew up to become very confident. I only took my kids out of the program because we moved away and we never found another dojo that even came close to how great this one was.

Julian McWilliams: I have studied at this dojo for over 10 years starting when I was a kid. It is a great environment for people of all ages, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Sensei Collins is an amazing instructor and really caters to each individual student's specific needs.

Michelle Hirons: .

Rob Cooper: Excellence instruction & facilities. Great experience with other students as well.

Nicola Miner: We love JT. He has been a great role model for my kids and guided two to black belts!

Sandy Dean: sensei collins is a tremendous teacher - doing an equally amazing job with kids who are barely beyond being toddlers all the way through full grown teens. A great place for kids and families and teens to all have a chance to learn and grow.

AJK McT: Wonderful dojo! Sensei Collins is kind, caring and is very commited to his martial arts. We love it.

Michael Makarov: Amazing jiu jitsu school and the community. Recommend 100%.

SurvivalBayArea: I trained under Denny for something like 18 months ish and only left due to location. I love this school. On any given day you will receive very high level instruction, very effective jiu jitsu, compatible in the constantly changing modern jiu jitsu world. While I was there I trained kettle bells and gained 10 lbs of muscle. GAIIINS son!!! Last but not least Denny is a really, really fun guy and he cares deeply about his students Jimmy is also hilarious. Osssssssss

Ralph Baptista: Excellent Place to Roll, dropped in while on holiday, Denny and his team very welcoming. Recommend

Stefan Belanov: Dropped in for 2 classes during my vacation in San Francisco. Denny was very welcoming and all the guys there were very friendly. Denny is not only a very experienced grappler, he also teaches jiu jitsu with passion in a very pedagogical way. I will definitely visit again when i come back to San Fransisco!

Christopher Charles: Amazing!!!

Amanda Wilson: This is a good school and the owner, Kasey, has a positive outlook on life as well as a good understanding of how to properly deal with children. His daughter often helps out with the younger children as well. She is a patient and quick to smile. Both Coach Noel and Coach Andrew are very knowledgeable and highly skilled in JiuJitsu. If you have concerns or complaints I would encourage you directly contact the owner Kasey. Most likely he's already working on it.

Michael Palladino: A great school with a great vibe. I dropped by here this past June when I was in San Fran for a few days. Recently, I was back in San Fran for a tournament and ran into a bunch of the grapplers from here at the tourney. ALL of them said what's up and chatted it up a bit. I can't tell you how highly that made me feel about the quality of people that train at this school. Great people, Great Grappling! If you're looking for a place to train or if you're like me and find yourself in the area for a few days, you need to DEFINITLEY check this place out!

Michael Webber: Denny has been an on again, off again no gi coach for me since I attended an Eddie Bravo seminar in 2007 and he was Bravo's demonstration partner. You get good at what you do, and Denny has been exclusive no gi since belt - and he's Eddie's first black belt. I wish I hadn't devoted my time to the gi, because Denny's has mad details and teaching skills.Plus, his academy is supportive and friendly.Props!

Mehdi Medjaoui: Denis and his assistants are great teachers too, focusing on pedagogy and efficiency. Stay consistent.

ultra: Best jiu-jitsu in San Francisco

Alex Furman: your limit and you will come out healthier than when you came in.Ever since I've started training with Denny, I have made new friends, my game shot through the roof, and I'm enjoying jiu-jitsu more than I've ever had before. It doesn't get any better than this.

Dylan Peters: Awesome gym. Great people. Tight jiu jitsu.

Megan Caluza: Excellent place to learn jiu jitsu. Friendly staff, clean, well organized facility. Strong community feel with sister schools in San Mateo and Walnut Creek. I have been training here for more than three years, and will continue to train here as this place makes me feel welcome.

Nick Lee: , and the first thing I should mention is this:Denny has created a welcoming, friendly, and attentive space that is

Paul McDermott: I walked into 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu SF about 2 years ago and was welcomed like family. Denny is an exceptional teacher with a long history of success in the competition world. He is very detailed and patient with his students and is filled with years of experience. The new location is set up well with onsite showers and mats wall to wall. I recommend 10th Planet Jiu JItsu SF to everyone I talk to. 10PFL!!

George Jereza: I completely agree with the other comments. Excellent Taekwondo instructions. Very professionally run and they taught my twin boys well. We lived a couple of blocks away so it was also very convenient for them. However, due to a change in school location, their chance of getting back went up in smoke when they both moved for college to Berkeley.Nothing but the best of luck to KMAC. I hope the dojo lives on inspite of the pandemic.

Jon Mccleskey: I studied at kmac from 1997 to 2001 best tkd school ever. Because of this school and their instructors i was able to do well in state and national competition. I have tryed to find a school like kmac since moving away and no other school comes close. I miss the people i use to train with cody, sonny, larry master Forrest master and of course master jung. You gave me the confidence to accomplish a lot in my life i am forver greatful.

Justin Jiang: I was a student at this place it tought me skills of self defense in 2014

Belle Pepper: The teachers are nice, and you learn a lot of cool techniques, and fighting skills.

Carter: Best TKD teacher ever. These Korean martial arts are very cool, and you learn alot there.PS. This is way better than American TKD.

Yanhe Yan: Hi ppl it's soooooo gud
