Beth Davis: . There were numerous downed trees as well which is an indication of how windy and exposed the area is.The camp site #2 was perfect. It has 2 large flat and level tent pads and shade. Less exposure to the fierce winds that blew non stop for our trip this July. There is m potable piped water
Trey Mitra: Don't forget to put your food in the or the raccoons will get it.No dogs allowed unfortunately.
Justin McCandless: . Enough flat space for two large tents at least. Water was out but they supplied a full five gallon jug. Site 3 was a bit more exposed but had views of downtown SF. We were able to get our jogging stroller all the way there without a problem. Had a great time.
Simon Darken: but the tent spots aren't level and there is no shade. Site 1 is private, shaded and more level than 3. Sites 7, 8, 9 are exposed and close to each other with little privacy though they do appear to have level tent sites.
Tim Brandt van Driel: Loved the campsite and the view. The park ranger even brought water to the site.
Greg T: Site #3. NO flat ground, no shade. ONLY the picnic table is on flat ground. Site #3 does have a nice view though. Site #1 or Site #2 are very nice. There is water from a faucet but it smells like "hose water". There is also an outhouse. The TP is nice.
Robin Holmberg: I am planning to go there and camp I am a amputee so will see
Tim Tim: Beautiful Campsite and Perfect View of the East Bay, Bay Bridge, & San Francisco. All From the Campsite. The Only Concern or down side is the Hike up the small mountain. Since you have to walk up the hill from the point where the Ferry drops you off to the Top is about 1.5 Miles and Mostly Up Hill. PACK LIGHT!!! We one of those Collapsible Carts which helped tremendously. However it was very difficult going up the Fire Trail since it wasn't paved road but all gravel and large dips in the ground from where the rain eroded away. Thank God for a staff member who helped us by taking our cart up the Fire Trail in the truck.Overall its Beautiful! Perfect Weather when we went August 21st.Tons of Raccoons who will come out around 9-11pm they are active looking for food. A few of them were determined to get to our food. We made some noise to scare them off but they kept coming back from another direction. They'd go down the hill and around to come up. We could hear them walking through the bushes to get to the other side.😂Tons of Mosquitoes too!At 7am the Sun comes up and Cooks you if your tent isn't in the Shade. I could not believe how Hot it was so early.
Darnell johnson: First time camping. Great spot for learning.
Mick Wedley: Great campground
Peter Rodrigues: Angel Island is a great campus ng destination if you can reserve a spot
Philip Smith: Great place to get away from it all while being able to have views of basically the entire Bay area.

thomas dwyer: Lots of full sun in some camps. Bring shade. Walk in only. Great beach. Very long walk for day use.
happy willow: Cool beach - almost got swept away looking at mussels, crabs anemones at the the sea cave! Hiking is perfect amount.
Darcy Vasudev: The photo is actually of the beach just below the campground. The campground only has a few sites which you must book well in advance. If you have a reservation then you can drive down, if not you have to walk down from Battery Spencer. It's an easy walk down but the way back up is a bit sweaty so bring water if you're going on a sunny day.Restrooms: The vault toilets smelled pretty bad and were not clean.Picnic area: Each campsite has a picnic area.
Eric Mar: Hidden gem just outside San Francisco with sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and mouth of the SF Bay! 5 campgrounds, quiet beach, sea lions & soothing tide! Great spot for watching boats and shipping vessels going through the Bay. We saw a cruise ship as well!
Tina Simmons: Beautiful, secluded campground. The sites are walk-in only.
Ryan Hayward: Incredible views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. There are bathrooms and fire pits too.
Stephanie Dintcho: It's very difficult to get a night here. It took me 7 years, but I finally got to camp a night. Absolutely, love this private 5 campground, next to the ocean, and Golden Gate Bridge sight. The bathrooms are the only drawback and the only reason why I give it 4 stars. Otherwise it's 5 star. It's like no other place I've camped.
Keith Arthur: Such an amazing location right below the Golden Gate Bridge. You’d never know your 5 minutes from a massive metropolis. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation it’s an amazing location. There are only 5 sites and each site is actually spread out enough you don’t feel like you’re on top of your neighbors like most other campsites in California.
PoovizhiPonnammal Purushothaman: Splendid views of the bay and the Golden gate bridge... very exposed and cold and windy...
ajay gs: Great view of the golden gate and very secluded beach campsite.
Warren Wright: This is a beach with an incredible view of the Golden Gate Bridge about .9 miles down the hill.
Junior Brown: Amazing place with a beautiful view of San Francisco, making reservations is somewhat difficult since they are booked so fast. It is definitely worth it if you are looking for somewhere to hike or camp in San Francisco with a view of the bridge. I took my sports boat along.
Preston Chen: Amazing view as you walk down to the beach. Water is a brilliant teal color.

Karen Gravereaux: where we painted 28 years ago. A lot has changed and a lot hasn't.There's fantastic views to be had, and lots of hiking. Wear sturdy shoes!
Miriam Arambula: Amazing for photos a little cold but amazing
Alvin Prasad: Nice place for tourists to take a memorable pictureRestrooms: Yes open public portal restrooms
Rahmad Jaya: Perfect timing
Selena Beers: Even on rainy days it was gorgeous. Trails aren't really marked, but it's very clear where you need to go. I didn't see any public drinking fountains or restrooms, but there were probably some up by the Holocaust Memorial. We just didn't make our way up there.
charlie compton: Very nice park, pleasant hikes overlooking San Francisco.
JP Waldron: Awesome views with allot of history
jmramos730: Great hike to Mori Point. Stunning views and some serious steep slopes out there!
Claudio Pubill: I believe the view speaks for itself.Restrooms: Restrooms are not open in the evening hours.
Pierre Guilbault: Impressive

ShAhin JAN: We parked here and started hiking to the Stinson beach. It is a 6 mile round trip trail but it is definitely worth it with the amazing views.
AC: seem like the better choice if you want to be more secluded and farther away from the parking lot. fresh, potable drinking water spouts are available near all sites and the campsite itself is in a great location - close to several hiking trails. come early on a friday morning if you plan to stay for the weekend! early as in before 9am if you want to claim a spot.Playground: no playgroundRestrooms: there are bathrooms by the parking lot with flushable toilets and sinksDog-friendliness: dogs are allowed!Picnic area: every campsite is equipped with a picnic table
Stu Berman: So many amazing hikes on Mt. Tam begin here...
Josh Simpson: If you have young kids and you want to take them somewhere for quick and easy camping trip, Pantoll Campground is a great choice. It's not far from the Hwy 101 in Marin County but you leave the city behind as you drive up Mt. Tam and the scenery changes quickly. This spot is popular so it's a great choice for a last minute weeknight in the summer or weekend in the winter. It's also nearby the coast and some great hiking trails on Mt. Tam. NOTE - it's a hillside campground and you may have to schlep your stuff up the hill to your campsite. Enjoy!
Gregg Duke: Nice hike to Muir forest
jose barragan: Feels like I am somewhere in the forest far away from the Bay Area.
Jaysean Berndt: Love this camp ground absolutely my favorite. Great energy and people don’t complain a lot here . There is no showers is the only thing . But for 25 bucks you can’t beat it .
Leslie B (Les): I love Mt.Tam!Restrooms: THE BATHROOMS REALLY ARE CLEAN!
Holly Harris: This is a reasonable place to sleep in a pricey area.Restrooms: Flush toilets.
Kydd: Good camp, like the camps up on top the best.
Jess L: Beautiful campground! We came at 12 and got to pick from all the campsites. We were the only ones here for most of our stay. There are amazing hiking trails right off of the campground. The only thing is It was super windy but that was because a storm was coming.
