JEAN St Juste: Dante was amazing. Very knowledgeable to each wine that we were tasting. We were the first customers to walk in. And he made us feel welcome instantly. This was a great thing to do as my first time in San Francisco. Thanks again Dante !!!!

Rishi: Love this place! Don't sleep on it just because it's in Fisherman's Wharf. We're SF locals and love coming here because od the service and the wines you can't get anywhere else! Particularly love the Mourvedre, the Cab, and the Howell Mountain Zinfandel. Kostas and Christopher are the best!

cara hovell: Mike was very knowledgeable and informative about the all the wines. I am not very open to trying new wines but he offered tastings of different types of wine which was going above and beyond. We had a great experience here and I think everyone that visits should stop by.

John M: Absolutely stellar place to drop in, alone or with a group. Chatting with strangers over a red Merlot and getting to know locals and tourists alike was a calming moment during a busy week. Staff are exceptional and stop to chat between filling a glass or serving a flight or two. Absolutely would visit again!

Roberto Blain: I don't often write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so today because of the excellent and fun experience my friends and I had going for a wine tasting at the Winery Collective at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.Somewhat inexperienced at this wine tasting game, we were lucky to have Kostas as our host and wine associate. His knowledge and professionalism was superb and he guided us through a truly wonderful wine tasting experience like a seasoned wine sherpa. I had the Red Flight, which was delicious, and ended up buying my favorite, the Pinot Noir 2013 W. It was an overall terrific experience and we'll be back! Highly recommended.

Zoya Imran: A great spot on Fishermans Wharf. We popped in on a rainy afternoon after going to Alcatraz as we hadn't had the opportunity to make it to the wine regions on our short Californian trip in winter. My partner and I both got tasting flights and Kostas the bartender/sommelier was amazing - friendly, super knowledgable and really engaging to speak to. Great range of wines from different regions in California on offer.

Barry Lewis: Delicious variety for tasting and knowledgeable staff....interesting history shared with a fun atmosphere and easy access to Fisherman's Warf. Great value.

Max Ray: We were on a road trip and decided to stop at some vine spot, we chose this place, the atmosphere was great, the bartender was very professional and friendly, we loved this place from the first step in, vines taste super good and prices are reasonable, if u are around here this is the place must visit

Kevin Lapalme: A great place to enjoy good wine, music and meet different people across the globe. Kostas and Deena are very friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommended!

Cherise Jackson: We were on vacation in San Francisco and wanted to do a wine tasting.in the city. We chose Winery Collective and had a great time! They have a nice wine selection. Also, the hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Schöpfer Robert: Lovingly decorated wine bar, competent advice and really great wine. Plus great entertainment and lots of good tips from Kostas and Chloe, thank you for the great time!Whether you want to drink a glass of wine or experience a whole tasting, you've come to the right place.

Shirin: I went to a special drag show event which was super fun! The staff there is knowledgeable about their wine and the service is top notch!

Elena Inf: We were so happy to find this hidden gem near Fisherman's Wharf! Very cool atmosphere, great music and delicious wines! Our bartender Kostas was incredible! Knowledgeable, quick-witted, honest, funny, made us feel right at home and suggested excellent wines based on our taste! Glitter was my fav! Can't recommend enough!

Anatoli Romanov: Very cool spot

Jela Clarke: Great host, good wine and if you are new in town, Chloe has great recommendations.

ben agogo: Very nice place in SF for an area wine "degustation " . Very special thanks and very grateful to Kostas for his enthusiasm and professionnalism to explain the wines, above all the generosity. You can chose classicly a glass or formulas called "flights" composed with white, red, mixed or sweet wines. Jean Marc, France

Kanyaporn Sangthavorn: Cozy place with a lot of wine selections

Eric Lemay: One of my favorite visit in San Francisco! Kostas was a fantastic host and we met a lot of interesting people from around the world. I highly recommend this place!

Vasilis Peters: Such a wonderful hidden gem at the edge of Fisherman's Wharf!🍷Upon stepping into the tasting room, the atmosphere and decor makes you feel like you’ve been transported to Rioja or Tuscany. The staff is very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. They have a great selection of wines from small California boutique wineries across multiple regions. You can choose from various tastings, wines by the glass, bottles or let them know your preferences and they'll customize a tasting for you.Kostas and Christopher made great recommendations after I let them know the types of varietals I preferred.Bonus, they play great music and the friendly atmosphere lends to fun chats with other patrons.I'll definitely be bringing friends who come to visit SF!

Jeffrey Fiorino: Small cool little spot. The sweet potatoes tacos are the reason I come here! They are legit ! Def the crowd you’d expect, but the tacos are legit, and the burrata are me two favs, but mainly those sweet potato tacos !Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices and gluten freeDietary restrictions: Vegan gluten free choices worth checking outParking: Good luck

Ali Souch: 很棒的氛圍和各種各樣的飲料

Gareth McGaw:

Arthur Book:

Christine McGavran: Great host

Mike Franks: Wow, great service! You called me last week on Wednesday around 9:00 a.m. to see if I was interested in purchasing a case Seabiscuit Ranch wine that I had bought in the past. By 10:00 a.m. the next day the case of wine had been delivered to my office. Thank you so much.

Ben Stefancic: Frank is the most knowledgeable California wine expert there is! If you are looking for a special cult wine, Frank probably has it or can get it. He will also tell you the story of the winemaker, grower, winery owner and expand your knowledge base tremendously. Stop by on Saturdays for his tastings, drink great wine and get educated!

JDH: Frank and the Golden Gate Wine Company is a dream to trade with. Excellent customer service and truly go above and above to make the customer happy! I live and work in Hong Kong and whenever I make my wine order it is to go in days and to me in record time. I highly recommend Golden Gate Wine and Frank’s personalized attention to his customers.

Dave Methvin: I happened by this store since I was staying at the nearby Hilton in Union Square. What a wonderful place! They carry bottles from many small local unsung wineries. As an east coaster I'd never heard of most of them, but Don talked me through many of their choices and I decided on a bottle that my wife and I loved. I was pleased at the prices, it's hard to believe that I could get a great bottle of wine for $50 that only had 8 barrels made in total. I suspect we will sign up for their quarterly wine club.

Terence Reis: I walked in looking to buy just one of the well-known labels. What I got was an amazing lesson about the Californian wine production and history. And left the store with great local wines. If you want wines from California, this is the place.

Brian “Mo-Fo” Dean: Came into this shop on a mission to find a good bottle of California wine, came out with 3. I love this place and Andy turned me on to a few Cab Francs that were delicious AND affordable. Thanks again, I’ll be back in your store the next time I’m in San Fran.

mushi 44: The wines are wholesaled from local wineries, and all wines are carefully selected from wines that are not produced in large numbers. It's fun just looking at the wines lined up on the wall, but you can also learn about the characteristics of the wines from the knowledgeable staff. The asking price goes up in order from the bottom up, but if you decide on a budget per bottle, say 30 to 50 dollars, and the number of bottles you want, then let them know your preferences and they will recommend it to you. They also sold me a cover that wouldn't break when I put it in my suitcase at a low price of $1.50, and advised me to bring another cover the next time I came. This is a shop that can be recommended to many Japanese people as there is explanation in Japanese.

Benjamin Fheng: Wines are very well priced and shopkeepers personally only put out the stuff that they love. Would absolutely come here again in my next visit!Came here mid December 2023 and got 3 bottles of wine. Rick was incredibly accommodating and friendly when I told him I needed some Californian wines. He was able to explain with lots of passion which wines he loved and would recommend. Don came out and went into an immense depth on some nice history of California wines and its production. Super rare find and really happy I found this place.

山崎祐治: I bought a wine as a gift for my friend. I got a nice wine thanks for kindness of the staff! Wines are affordable to purchase. If you find gifts about California, here is the most recommended shop!

David Baker: Stopped in before heading to the airport with no idea what I was looking for. The guy in the shop gave me a quick run down on different wines and where they come from and what would go best with a meal I wanted to make for my wife and I. All that and he found something EXACTLY in my budget.Perfect way to end my work trip , will absolutely come back next time I’m in SFO

Marten: An absolute gem. Highly recommend them, AND ...what they recommend. Can't say enough. Thanks, Andy and Hanson 🙏🏼

Renata Almeida: I have been part of their Cabernet Club for almost 5 years now. Amazing Cabs! Some from small vineyards with outstanding quality. Forget about Opus One… this place will offer you much better quality wines for a lot less than $400 a bottle. The club wines will be pricy from $65 to $120 per bottle but worth every penny. the quality is really outstanding! I believe Don’s knowledge/experience in the Nappa area is beyond what I have ever expected. I just love their Cabernet Club! ❤️🍷 If you are looking for an outstanding Cabernet club join this one, you will not regret if you are a real Cabernet lover. I promise you! 😉

Itsu: I visited for myself and for souvenirs. I'm not an expert on wine, but the staff were very knowledgeable and recommended the best wines based on my general requests. They only stock the ones that they tasted and found to be the best.

William Jordan: Took a respite from the rain while weekending in San Francisco. Nice selection of less common wines that speak to their relationships in the wine industry. Andy was a pleasure to talk to & he has great depth of knowledge and a passion for their offerings. Highly recommend for a special bottle and I look forward to returning.

Mike B.: Nobody in this world knows more about wine and the back stories of every vineyard than Don Gillette! Bring a notepad or better yet, just record him. Amazing selection of wines and recommendations!

kristin yeo: A 50 year old winery exchange in San Fran city. If looking for good Napa wines and winery is out of the visit list, they have great selections here, owner Don is knowledgeable and able to share his wine expertise and knowledge too!

Phongthon Tharachai: The owner is super knowledgeable . They do not sell wines that do not taste .Strongly recommend for wine enthusiasts.

Kendii Tharachai (Ken): Excellent.

Kristina Outland: was so nice and knowledgeable! I felt like I got the perfect gift for my mom. I wasn’t going to buy one for myself but I felt so comfortable that I had to grab one for me. Both people there today were great- will return. Thanks!

Essaime -: Extraordinary range of fabulous wines and spirits, inspired advice. Best place to buy liquor in West Portal!

Jon Hoidt: Great place to find local and imported wines

Marc Petersen: I’ve been shopping here on and off for about a decade. The wine is high quality. I also like the Japanese whiskey and scotch selections. I do miss the weekend tastings and I hope they return soon.

Robert Ahlers: Love the new layout and selections

Dan Cross: great little spot to find what you are thirsting for, but I still dont understand why it is closed on the weekend and open on monday and tuesdayodd hours to sell alcohol.

Dan Quine: Always a neighborhood gem, known for its wide selection of wines and spirits. At the end of 2022, they refurbished the interior, and it now has very comfortable seating in the main room and a delightful curved bar in the back room. The staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as they always were - there to offer good advice whatever your budget, and happy to let you get on with it if you know what you want. No high pressure sales tactics or attempts to up sell you here. Thoroughly recommended.

Candela Fernandez: They have so many wines and liqueurs. All neatly organized. The staff is very well versed on their merchandise. You can find Pacharan there! These days they are renovating the store, but they are still open.

Scott Keck: Putting in a new tasting bar. They offer 10% off any wines in their tastings if you buy them that day. I will always go here rather than save a couple bucks at BevMo or Total Wine. You can't beat local!

David Las Vegas: Great shop for wine and cheese and antipasto.

Stacy Menz: Love this wine shop! Not only are the friendly and knowledgeable but they take the time to chat with me and my toddler as we go by! Highly recommend!

Maria Agostinelli: I stumbled upon the gem of a wine shop. As a wine aficionado, this place is amazing! They only have Italian selections, hence the name, and absolutely everything I got was outstanding. I was able to get 3 awesome sparkling wines, or method champenoise as it is known for starters along with 3 crisp northern Italian whites that were perfect. I’m getting ready for an important dinner party and so so happy I came by this place. For our mains I decided on taking a Brunello tour and their selections do not disappoint! Robert Parker had rave reviews for the 2015 vintage so I selected 3 different producers and each one was superb. And I didn’t stop there. On the way out I saw they had an array of magnums in varying sizes so I picked up 2 magnums, one montepulciano and one sagrantino, and a 3 liter of Nebbiolo for my personal collection. If you like wine, you must come here. Their staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, and their offerings are out of this world!

Aline Coulet: They really do have fantastic wines and the price is very inexpensive as well! I'm so happy I found this wine store!

Christopher Coombes: The most wine shop in the city! I try to visit it every time I am here for business. If you need a place for special occasions, business or private, this is the place. I love how the wine is presented and how it tastes even better. I will surely come back and recommend the wine shop to all of my friends for their wonderful service and good wine!

sami mahdavi: Great wine selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff makes you want to go back to this place over and over. Highly recommend this place to wine lovers.

Tom Hill: imports and are very well selected. In particular, their selection of Val d'Aosta wines is one of the best in the Nation. And the customer service is absolutely first rate. But I do have one problem... spelling Parissima's name correctly!! :-

Christa Raymond: I absolutely love this wine shop and I don't know how I lived before I found it. Enoteca Vino Nostro has a tremendous selection of well curated Italian wines from every region. The owners, Parissima and Amanzio, are charming and knowledgeable and always happy to steer you in the right direction when selecting a wine. I have never been disappointed by a recommendation and I want to note, they don't necessarily guide you to the most expensive option. If you've EVER wanted to learn a little about Italian wine or just want to pop in, tell them what you're serving and a price point and leave with a great bottle, this is the place for you. Also- they offer free delivery within SF on orders of $250 or more. This has been a delightful treat during the shelter in place order! These types of locally owned businesses are what makes San Francisco a great city. I highly recommend Enoteca Vino Nostro!

Jacopo Vagaggini: Amazing italian wine shop with a great selection of wines from all over Italy. Amanzio & Parissima are so kind, they will guide you through the different choices. Salute!

Anthony Agrios: Awesome selection of Italian wines run by an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable group of Italians.

Kiai Kim: When you’re planning a meal with $30 guanciale, you don’t go to Whole Foods to pair a wine. There are hundreds of varieties of wine grapes in Italy. Don’t limit yourself to Pinot Grigio or Chianti and go here.

Fernando Agostinelli: Excelent place to get Italian wines!

nicole Quaranta: Great pics,,,go grab an Amarone

Cori Williams: are knowledgeable and willing to help.you find a wine you like. Cozy environment and would be an amazing date spot!

Forrest Spellman: Been here a few times for drinks or a happy hour and SF Wine Society is a gem. It has a fun bocce court, is well decorated with a sense of atmosphere, and the folks here really know a lot about wine. And as random a compliment as this is to give, the bathroom here is seriously decadent, beautifully designed and fancy??? I think that alone is a testament to the care put into this place. All the food is really delicious so I recommend getting something to go along with your drinks!

SJ: Glass of wine--an amazing find in SF Financial District. San Francisco Wine Society is a hidden gem on Merchant Street [alley] off Battery street. The beautifully decorated sitting area of padded leather chairs and tables and comfortably dark and subdued decorating are the perfect backdrop to enjoy a great glass of wine and light bites. Sat at the bar and chatted up Chris and Erik, the sommelier, who told me that there are over 50 wines by the glass on the menu. Rare to find wine bars that serve so many choices from other countries. Debated between having a glass of French, Italian, Greek, Croatian, and Spanish wine. Erik was able to speak expertly about each choice and guide me to something I really enjoyed. They have an interesting and tasty light bites menu if you'd like to nibble while enjoying your glass. Worth a stop just for the experience.

Steven Buss Bacio: Beautiful space with a great wine selection

Cristina Noujaim: Recommended dishes

Deanna Shaw: Great wine selection and Bocci ball. Very comfortable vibe, places to sit and have a good conversation. Food was great, compliments the wine.

Shayne Mathews: Nice wine flight options, good food and prompt service. The place has a nice laid back ambience.

william johnson: Space is absolutely incredible, open, welcoming and inviting with an amazing sound system! Marc and April are very knowledgeable, I’ve learned so much about natural wine since first going 3 years ago. Food is great, vibe is groovy, selection is dreamy and very reasonably priced.

Riley Clem: Nice inside atmosphere. Only natural wines so if you don't like natural wines, I'd suggest going elsewhere. Everyone was nice and knowledgeable and if I were a fan of natural wines I would make this my home

Allie Slavens Vieth: We love this place- the staff are lovely and so knowledgeable and helpful in choosing a wine, the bar is always a chill place to grab a glass and a snack, and the store selection of bottles is awesome- great wines at reasonable prices!

Taylor Thomas: The best place!! We let them choose our wines when we go and they never disappoint! We've learned so much from them over the past year and have tried a lotttt of fun and interesting wines.

Brandon Gan: My favorite wine bar in Sunset/Richmond districts. Lovely space for a drink or two. Great selection of wines from all over the world. I’ve learned quite a bit about old world wines from this place! Back when they used to have wine tastings on Wednesday, it was a really lovely experience. Hope to experience it again in the future!

Max Dunn: Great selection of natural wines

Michael McGinley: Best wine shop in SF. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, amazing patio out back, and great selection of wine.

Guilherme Norci: Great wine selection. Staff is friendly and attentive. They have a nice backyard to enjoy the wine.

Sergei Sorokin: Great back patio.

Michael Wu PhD: We ate at Arbor next door, but it looks like the back garden is sure between Arbor and Arlequin. This looks like a nice wine merchant with a big selection of wine. We will find opportunity to check it out.

Iman Rasheed: Great affordable prices for a street with kinda more expensive food. Ive gotten their Mac and cheese and the chicken sando, and they're both amazing. My fave thing though has got to be their soft-serve!

Nora Morinda: My chicken sandwich was delicious. Fast Service and friendly. Thank you.

Lynne Rolland-Newburne: Just went in to browse, nice selection and reasonable prices

Jeremy Cole: It's a good place to buy wine and their wine club is a good value

Kim Davies: DecantSF transcends the typical wine shop experience, —it's a vibrant hub of inclusivity, education, and community right in San Francisco's core. As a woman-owned business, it exudes a refreshing sense of empowerment and inclusivity that sets it apart from the rest. Co-owners and Sommeliers Cara and Simi enrich every visit with their expertise, offering an accessible range of delightful wines and snacks tailored to any budget or palate. Moreover, their dedication to supporting fellow small businesses shines through, reflected in their vibrant lineup of engaging events hosted at the bar.

Aubany Gonzales: What an incredible wine shop/bar!Simi and Cara are both elites in the somm world and are so helpful and knowledgeable choosing exactly what you might be looking for in terms of wine but also cheeses, tinned fish and anything you might need to put together a great charcuterie board at home.I've sent my partner there many a times and he simply just asks them and it's always perfect.I was most recently there for a wreath making class. Wine and wreath making: YES PLEASE! The class was great with Kim from Wyldflower Workshop who focuses her business on being sustainable and socially responsible! I love that.I also really love supporting women owned and progressive businesses. If you're looking for a great bottle or a glass to enjoy in shop, even charcuterie goods this will always be where you should come first! They offer regular classes, events, and even a club subscription with various benefits depending on the level you choose.

Shelby Perkins: my favorite spot for wine in the cityDietary restrictions: always has gluten free crackers and very accommodating of me not being able to eat garlic or onionRecommended dishes Wine Flight, Smoked Trout Caviar Triple Cream Cheese & Duck Rillet …

Anthony Bufort: Friendly owners, inviting atmosphere, and an array of reasonably-priced tapas-bar goodies make this a definite candidate for favorite regular local haunt. Nice wine and cheese selection, and an even nicer and wider array of seafood and other treats from Spain, Canada, and other places around the world. Try it!Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs going down into the place. Didn't see any alternatives.

Sara F: Nice wine selection, tin fish are a little overpriced
