Linda Munoz: Wonderful wedding held here. Food was great, atmosphere was wonderful. Terrific place for a wedding!Kid-friendliness: Had 9 little boys at wedding and they did fine and servers were accommodating.

Jaye X: I landed in San Francisco and was completely famished and this place had a zero minute wait time. The service was so-so from our server, primarily because I’m not partial to indifferent mannerisms. However, the back wait staff was wonderful and so was the Maitre’D. The Hamachi dish I had was subpar to say the least, and I would not recommend it and sadly the Bronzino taste like burnt nothing. After sending both dishes back initially, I ordered the lobster and it was superlative! It was tender and delicious. The mac & cheese, prepped gratin style, is incredible. I think that alone probably helps you select your entrée choices. The Albariño with the lobster is an excellent pairing, and perhaps the Dungeness crab might be a great starter option. The seats are a win-win and chefs kiss for comfort.

Scott S: This restaurant is amazing. Beautifully decorated, amazing food, and a great wait staff. I went here for a meal with fellow co-workers and the entire experience was amazing. The cheesy bread was to die for, the calamari was top notch, the French onion soup was delicious, and all the sides were perfect, especially, believe it or not, the carrots. I ordered the bone in ribeye, which was expensive but well worth every penny. If I'm going to spend $90 on a steak, it better be the best steak I've ever had and it absolutely was. I will forever compare any steak I've ever had to this one. If you are in San Francisco, you need splurge and to go to those restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Dan Sadaka: it still lacked flavor. It was a slow Sunday night so our waiter also doubled as the bartender. He was okay but lacked the polish of what you'd expect of a waiter from a high-end Steakhouse. On a positive note, the kitchen split our french onion soup into two cups which was nice of them. If I'm ever back in San Francisco looking for a steak dinner, I'm going to try Harris's.

Maria Segal: The steaks are great, and service is outstanding by Luis. Paola is a wonderful host.

Gessa Chang: 5 stars for the entire process of planning a dinner party for 12.Richard, the manager, was amazing, responsive, helpful, and on the day of dinner, he was short staffed that evening and waited on our Christmas dinner himself with his assistant. We appreciated his fast service, great suggestions, and dinner was delicious. If you're coming for steak, rib eye regular or dry aged rib eye, you're in for a treat. My pork chop was slightly overcooked, but the flavors were there. Their playlist for music was fun. We were jammin', and the room for large parties was perfect and huge, so everyone was comfortable and not stuck together.French onion soup was my favorite for the evening. They make their own bread there so every bite we extra good. Cheese bread was good really good, crab cakes were tiny but delicious, calamari was fried perfectly with good dipping sauces.Everyone loved their meal and was impressed. I really wish their desserts were better tasting. They were just OK. Richard did give them options for adding different sauces like chocolate or caramel instead of strawberry sauce for their cheesecake. Which was very accommodating. He was amazing, packed everyone's leftovers, and organized them so nicely. So everyone can finish their steaks for breakfast. This is a great place for dinner. Safe, clean, friendly, and delicious.

Matthew Spaccarelli: This place was very interesting, the food was great. I ordered a ribeye, Caesar salad, bread and butter, and a soda. I was disappointed that they charge you for every soda that they bring you. The steak was cooked great, it was definitely prime. The view was awesome. It was very noisy inside. A lot of echoing. I would definitely hit this place up again. And if you're near it, you should give it a shot.

Adolfo DE LUNA: Delicious!

Jaydee T. de Leon: The ribeye was perfection personified. Medium rare, so tender, juicy and sumptuous.

Joe Daly: had a great meal at bobs on lemmon... server karen was terrific, ribeye done perfectly and they recently started offering Justin cabernet at a ridiculously low price.... great experience, would go back tonight if i could

Casey Caster: The food is really good. I like to sit at the bar and order apps while drinking a glass of wine. On different days... I'll opt for one of their HUGE martini's. The prices can be a bit high, but you get your money's worth. Also, the staff really treats you well.

Eran Adato: Fancy place. Good steak. Not over the top pricey..

Jimmy Paek: Tasty steaks but a little overpriced.

Tammy R: Love this place! Excellent food, drinks, and top-notch service at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

California Computer Consultants: A little older of a review. We went there in November of 2023 for my moms bday. We act have been coming to his location for a while but first review for the place. I see some of the poor reviews but this was not our experience at all. Yes.. The place is extremely pricey.... But the meal was excellent. The waitress we had was spot on. The support staff had my water glass filled, bread restocked and butter freshened without out as so much as a glance at the staff. They were just on it for us. The steak I had was the petite filet and is was cooked to perfection. Medium rare, simply seasoned, and tender to the point it would fall apart in your mouth without out aggressive chewing it. Excellent wine selection, recommendations from staff on pairings were spot on and my wine snob of a wife was thoroughly impressed. That particular night there was a band playing at the perfect volume. My jerk of kids even seemed to know the place was something special because they even managed to behave that night. Just a spot on experience and one of our go to places for special occasions.

Michael Chang: We had an amazing meal at Harris'. The A5 Wagyu and bone-in ribeye were delicious. Despite not being as tender or rich as the A5, the ribeye more than held its own. The A5 was incredibly soft and the star of the meal.We added crab cakes and a spinach walnut salad to complete the meal.Service was extremely attentive and friendly.Truly a meal I won't forget.

Lulu Shi: We recently celebrated my husband's and his triplet brother’s birthday at this exquisite restaurant, and it truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the beautiful, clean, and cozy ambiance that enveloped us. The warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for a memorable evening.Let's talk about the food - it was nothing short of spectacular! Every bite, from the freshly baked bread to the succulent steaks and heavenly desserts, was a culinary delight. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, showcasing the chef's dedication to perfection. We left the table with our taste buds dancing and our hearts full. However, what truly set this place apart was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were not just attentive and professional, but they also went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. Their genuine warmth and hospitality made us feel like valued guests throughout the evening. And let's not forget the music - it was the cherry on top of an already perfect evening. The beautiful melodies added an extra layer of charm to the ambiance, creating a truly magical atmosphere that enhanced our dining experience.

Paul Olive: Best steakhouse in San Francisco, the food the service is second to none there is no comparison to harris, the thick dry age porterhouse was exceptional, the prime New York was full of flavor and so tender, the lamb Colorado lamb chops the best I ever had at any restaurant, all the sides delicious, veggies perfectly cooked firm to the bite, thank you harris staff for a night to remember, cheers

Tammy Foxx: What happened to fine dining with a dress code? The food was very good. Our server, Lucy, was phenomenal!!!HOWEVER, we walked in the door and the first thing we saw were delivery drivers wearing helmets. Then we were seated in the beautiful dining room surrounded by people wearing torn jeans, t-shirts and sneakers.I’ve always wanted to come to your restaurant So our friend saved up to bring us for our anniversary. We got dressed up, because that’s what you do.It’s a shame that Harris has lowered its standards. Don’t be like the rest of SF. 😢

T.J. Sevilla: , and it was a good medium rare and was tender, though I believe it could have been softer. The vegetables were not too bad, just lacking a bit of flavor, while the scalloped potato was probably the star of the show. The dessert was great too, the baked alaska and the creme brulee were very delicious. Overall pretty good.

Stacy Sanborn: , aged beef and lamb chop. It was also served with asparagus and au gratin potatoes. There were several servers making the rounds to make sure drinks and bread were topped off. All were friendly. You must be prepared to drop some serious money here if you come.

J G: Great private club and place for events/parties!

Brandon Curnow: Amazing place to meet people and network. Everyone I've met there has been super friendly. Well worth a membership if you have the opportunity to get one.

Petra O: Friendly staff as always. Great pop up dinner by chef Cat Wang

Janey Laney: This was a very interesting spot! Really nice private club and I can say, I know exactly why it is private! Very nice and spacious, everyone was pretty chill. The couches were amazing and the party was just really fun. Keep in mind though, there is no number available so if you lose something. Go through your memebership or just email them 😂But yeah I loved it and would definitely say it's a great venue from some good parties! Now keep in Mind, if you have to use the bathroom, you do have to go down a whole elevator so be mindful!

Andrew John: I came here for my friend’s birthday party, and this venue did not disappoint! Felt like a mix between Great Gatsby and Vegas vibes! They had a pretty amazing DJ which definitely set the tone of the night. The lounges and seating areas are so chic and modern! Definitely felt more like a luxury cocktail lounge than an average bar. My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves. It’s a huge space upstairs and downstairs! You also need to show your invite at the door or else security will not let you in. And if it’s too crowded they won’t let you in. I actually like that safety aspect.

Alex Jo: enough to smother the natural taste of underlying ingredients.Overall very salty despite our request.

Dllm Dllmm: Love the service. Group of us came and ordered. Corkage was 50 per bottle for 1st 2 bottles and then 100 there after.Oysters felt a little steep but the steak was awesome. Had the aged porterhouse and wet aged ribeye which was perfect.Winelist was great and had the Far Niente dolce for dessert.

IO Song: The mashed potatoes are so so so so so delicious. The meat was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, but the only downside was that it was a bit cold where we sat. It's not a place where the food comes out quickly, so it would be a good idea to order some drinks and appetizers. It might be a bit awkward if you go with people you don't have anything to talk to... The carbonara was really, really rich and delicious. Originally, I thought it was a noisy and exciting neighborhood, but after a year, the commercial district in the surrounding area died, so I felt like I was alone in a very quiet back neighborhood. It's not a dangerous neighborhood. Ah, that reminds me of mashed potatoes again.

Paulo Lee: , and the preset menu for $90 - lobster bisque, fillet mignon, lobster tail, cheesey mash potatoes, carrots, green beans, and a chocolate torte. The preset menu items were all tasty, particularly the mashed potatoes, but failed to leave a lasting impression. More of a landmark, old timey, slow-paced restaurant than anything truly special. Service was professional, and friendly, however.

Bart Chang: This is perfect. It's a perfect steak. I would like to say that the sword is the fire, the fire is the fire.I was lucky to eat the best steak in a nice place while listening to soft jazz music. After receiving the steak, I took a deep breath, picked up the knife, and cut off a small portion of the end. When I tasted the cut meat with a fork before bringing it to my mouth and eating it, the smell of pepper and the meat was strong. The moment it touches your lips, an earthquake occurs in your head.quicklyThe meat that goes in melts on the tip of the tongue and disappears as if it were going into a blender. There is no time. Since I can't spend an indefinite amount of time eating soft meat, I keep using my knife and fork quickly like a factory machine. We ran without stopping until the end and finished all the meals. It's only about 10 minutes. However, my lingering feelings continue to last two days as I write this review.

k s: I am a tourist from Japan. The best steak house in the city. reasonable, delicious, friendly, long history.I feel America so much.

Missie Jae: Been coming to this place since I was a kid. Food is just as delicious today as it was back in the 80's when I used to come here with my parents. The NY steak & the yellow rice...can't beat it. This place will ALWAYS be a hometown favorite.Parking: Parking is really sketchy. I suggest not going alone for pick up. Have someone with you so one can hop out & get the food & the other can bend the block while you get it. If you're dining in...good luck. There's a parking lot around back if you prefer to dine in but it's a coin toss if it's open or not & if it's open @ its dark outside hopefully you're not alone cuz it can be a scary walk.

James From: Great no frills steak house in the neighborhood.Very simple but to the point menu.Asked for a very rare steak, came through and was well seasoned and of good quality.2 steak meals with beer is $60, which is a great value!Interior design is humble and welcoming. Feels like you are transported to a movie set in the early 70s or 80s.My only notes: drafts appear to be misaligned. Beer tasted a little flat.Would definitely come here again, and recommend others to try it too.

Salvadorian: Right on the corner of Mission and Geneva I found Geneva Steak. I walked into the dining room and looking at the seating reminded me of a classic restaurant with red leather booths all around. I look at the menu on the wall and went for the French Burger, the order included a green salad and my choice of baked potato or rice pilaf. The burger was cooked fresh to order and while my order was being prepared I started with the salad, fresh iceberg lettuce, sliced carrots, red onions, peppers, tomatoes and ranch dressing, the French Burger came soon after, the plate was served by the Chef, a rectangular large bun that was soft and expertly toasted on the grill, usual burger setup, and the baked potato was split in half with melted butter on top. I was happy with the quality of the ingredients definitely a bargain for $13.99. The restaurant specializes on steaks, kabobs and bbq chicken. They have a selection of soft drinks, beers on tap, bottle beer. The place was clean and nice service all around.

Cenk Oguz Saglam: Super friendly, convenient, and affordable.

Brandon Valle: Eric V absolutely made our night!!! My girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and tried this Steakhouse for the first time. Not only was the food amazing both in flavor and presentation but the service was perfect. Eric was informative, very welcoming, fun and completely made the whole experience for us. The mix of professionalism and friendliness is what created the amazing experience that will bring us back and created a night to never forget. The Waygu sampler was phenomenal and the Tomahawk was perfect. If you're looking for a elegant and fun experience with masterfully cooked steak and curated sides and cocktails this is a spot to try! Thank you for the great night!

Jan Vincent: This was my second visit to Niku and once again it did not disappoint. Realistically the only disappointment is just how expensive things are, but this is true of San Francisco in general. Either way, dining at Niku is always fulfilling and I certainly enjoy sitting at the chef's counter. Being able to interact with the chef and ask questions is worth the visit alone. The food here honestly comes second to that level of access for me.The food itself was delicious and on this visit I decided to skip the traditional steaks and had the short rib. I slightly regret this decision as the short rib, while it tasted great, was super rich and did not give me that satiated feeling I was looking for. I would still order it again in the future. Fortunately the other dishes I ordered helped me reach that fulfillment I was seeking. The best part about dining at Niku is the service. Every single person working in this restaurant is welcoming, warm, and very personable. They were all very easy to talk to and did not come off as pretentious like in some other high end restaurants. The people and the service they provided are why I came back and will continue to come back. There is a caveat however to eating at the Chef's counter. It's very tight sitting there and you are definitely having dinner with the other guests sitting beside you. If you are ok with literally sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers then you will enjoy this experience. However, if you want a more intimate setting then skip the counter.
