S P: A couple of friends and I went before a comedy show at Cobbs and had a great time; we almost missed the comedy show! The food is yummy, they have a variety of options, and everyone was satisfied with their order. The cocktails are also on point. Though the bartender was a bit slow with service, the service was good overall. We played jenga, which was one of the available games, while enjoying the ambiance. It's a fun space in a very accessible area of the city.

Daniel Azarkman: Full disclosure, I own this bar so of course I like it. But I actually do like going here to drink too.Two years later, Google asked me if it's changed and incentivized me with bonus points to update my review. So I'd like to go on record as saying that I like hanging out here as much as I always did.I'm back in the same place one year later, and I'm still very selfishly in love with the bar that I created. Sorry if that's not what you're looking for in an impartial recommendation on Google, but it's as genuine an opinion as I can offer.
Mady Martin: The El Lopo crew helped me throw an incredible birthday party for my partner- the food, wines, and service was fantastic and an absolute bargain. The atmosphere of this wine bar is perfect with cute wooden tables, dried flowers, and a lovely long wooden bar to sit and hang out. I highly recommend it to anyone for an intimate date night or small gathering of friends. Not only do they have amazing wines but staff went out of their way to make everyone’s experience so memorable and enjoyable; huge thank you to Daniel, Ivan, and Alicia for making everything so lovely. My friend specifically mentioned that Ivan made some incredible cocktails - some of the best she’s ever had- it’s clear staff have a lot of pride in what they do and it’s a pleasure to support a business that has a great menu and good people. If you’re walking down Polk street, skip the mess and go straight to El Lopo, you can’t go wrong.
Victoria P.: I’ve dined here a couple of times and I’ve enjoyed my experience here every time.First, I should say that if you see churros on their menu, go get it! Do not miss the opportunity because sometimes it’s not available. The churros were so delicious, especially with the chocolate dipping sauce it comes with. The textures are spot on - crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside.I’ve had a couple of dishes and so far I enjoy the broccolini and the bread with quince paste. I recently had their one item charcuterie board and a pork meatball and it was a perfect dinner for me. The cheese I chose was an aged manchego cheese and it was perfect with crusty bread and quince paste. I just wish there was more quince. And the wine selection is awesome. I’ve always enjoyed every wine I’ve had here. And the staff are very helpful in explaining each one.So the concept of El Lopo is if California was still a part of Mexico. And their menu reflects that. The wines are unique - something you wouldn’t see in the average menu. So don’t be afraid to ask. They have sherry-oke nights and trivia nights. I’ve been to a couple of trivia nights and they’re a lot of fun! It can get loud during those nights.Otherwise, it’s usually pretty chill. I dined on my own and enjoyed people watching. This local bar is so cool and you should definitely check it out if you like good wine and snacking on tapas.
Josh Borkowski: is unique in the Bay Area, perhaps in the entire West. Come in for some jamón or albóndigas, relax with an oloroso, settle in for a while with a porrón and you might start believing you've floated from Polk Gulch to the other side of the Atlantic...Vegetarian options: While the menu features a variety of meat and cheese dishes, staff will accommodate dietary restrictions and there are generally several vegetarian or vegan tapa options. It's also excellent for pescatarians.Parking: The location on Polk is easily accessible by bike, and there is ample bike parking: this is the main bike route connecting Fort Mason/the Marina to Civic Center & Powell St stations. It's roughly a mile walking uphill from the Bart, or a short bus ride. There is an SFMTA parking garage at the corner of Bush.

Neesh Shah: Last stop during our night out and it was the perfect end-point. Super chill vibes, dimly lit but also packed in a good way. The bartender was hilarious and totally went along with us asking for a single shot that is good, but also strong but also different but also 10 other things. All in all, we'll be back!
Faraz: Quiet still lively place. Great drinks.
Mackie Bella: Excellent service and great drinks
Jane Zimmerman: I love hidden-away neighborhood gems like this. Plus, no TV makes for a great vibe.
Shelayne Mathieu: great vibe and music
Teresa: A classic. Solid drinks and bites.
Nero&Seneca Maidenlane: 15 Romolo cocktail bar was the perfect place for Nero and Seneca to unwind after a long day of adventures. The pimm’s cocktail was a refreshing treat and Gabriel, the bartender, was fantastic. He not only mixed amazing drinks but also made us feel welcome and at ease. The bar is known for its cool drinks and cool vibes, and it lived up to its reputation for great cocktails.Nero and Seneca were the stars of our visit, but it's important to note that they didn't consume any alcohol or food that wasn't doggy approved.Disclaimer: No dogs were harmed or given any alcohol or non-dog-friendly food during our visit.Overall, 15 Romolo is highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing drinks, great conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere. Gabriel, the bartender, was truly exceptional and made our visit unforgettable. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this gem for yourself!
Raghav Srivastava: Decent bar, good for a larger group. Can be loud and crowded but less grungy than other north beach watering holes
Edward “Eddie” Harper: Thier cocktail selection is great. They have a buttered whiskey that is absolutely fantastic. It's probably for the winter but I am definitely doing this next year for the holidays. The ambiance is dimly lit and nice. This is absolutely one of the best bars in the city. Getting here may feel strange but in the end it is most definitely worth it.

Stan J: .2024 update: Back again after another Carnival Parade on Mission. Ordered the tapas: fried potatoes
Jewel Swanson: A really great tapas place, and one of the hest happy hours in the city. 15 dollars for a nice carafe of sangria, dollar oysters, and more. I always order the patatas bravas and spanish omelette, love their fish, their paella is really decent and great for the price, and almost every dish I have had aside from that has been great, especially the stews. Perfect for groups, large and small, dates, friendly get togethers, and any other time.you want affordable and good food and drink.

Megan McDonald: DELICIOUS! Literally everything we ordered was devoured and we thought we over ordered! The ham and cheese croquettes were a tie for my favorite with the churros and sangria 😱😍Music was great, service was fabulous, and everything tasted so so good!We had a table that was somehow in the middle of the room but felt sequestered thanks to the layout and placement of curtains throughout the space. 👌We had a reservation which I definitely recommend for parties 2 if you’re time constrained!
Angelica SF: My husband and I went here for a Friday night dinner. We did reserve online on the same day. I think we were lucky since most folks were probably out of town.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service was superb and they were very attentive. We ordered dessert wine and I didn’t like mine. I usually wouldn’t say it but the owner asked. He replaced my drink and it was delicious 👌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food was good too! We ordered the paella negra, crab croquette, and basque cheesecake. I expected a bit more with the cheesecake, but it tasted like a normal one. Not the Basque style but still good.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ambiance was great. We liked the music played and it felt intimate. There were families dining as well.
Hamilton Foster: Solid

Brian Potter: were beautifully presented and the best food we had all weekend. We shared a pitcher of Sangria that was the perfect pairing with the tapas. This place is an absolute must do!
Michael Livingston: This is a little quaint speakeasy. Bring a trinket or tell a joke to the front man to gain access. The tapas here are top notch. Wine and beer only no hard liquor. If you had to bring your kids you can but not recommended. Enjoy the experience!!!Recommended dishes Croquetas De Pollo, Charcuterie Plate, Jamon Serrano, Churros with Chocolate …
Jordan E: My husband and I spent our 3rd wedding anniversary here yesterday. We truly had the most magical experience. The food is phenomenal and the wine was wonderful and well priced. But the star of the show was Ramiro. He took the absolute best care of us, and even surprised us with Churro’s, rose strawberries, a Candle and our wedding song over the speakers. I could not have pictured a more special way to celebrate our anniversary. Ramiro is an absolute angel, and really made our evening so special.100/10 stars.
A N: Cute place, fun entry, yummy food
