The cove allows non-motorized boats and sail/auxiliary boats with an auxiliary engine.
You can reserve an anchorage site through the Recreation.gov reservation system, which offers campsite and tour reservations at parks and other recreation sites across the country.
Overnight anchoring is allowed by permit only, and permits are approved for no more than five consecutive nights at a time. A break of one full week is required before re-entering the cove for overnight stays.
The cove offers aquatic opportunities to many park users, including swimming, and you can also walk around and relax in the area.
The best time to visit the cove is in the late evenings, when you can destress with an ocean view on one side and a view of Ghirardelli Square on the opposite end.
