JC C: It was my first time having brunch, and I loved it.!!The food is delicious, and it is great drinks, but the best is the greatest service. Neftali was amazing. He recommended me all his favorite food and drinks, and I was really pleased and thankful. Will definitely come back when I am in town.I definitely recommend the Lomo Salteado with Prime Stake was amazing

Page Smith: Fantastic all around. Service, food and atmosphere are on-point. The servers are very helpful with navigating the menu, which contains more than your average SA food. Personally, I really enjoy the empanadas and cocktails. Sit out in the back - it's a great spot. This place is pricy, but there's hardly a better place in the marina for a nice dinner.

La Mar Cebicheria Peruana: what do users think?

Barbara Roseneder: The food is to die for. At first it was pleasantly warm in the restaurant, but suddenly the air conditioning was switched on despite the pleasant temperatures. We would have liked to stay, but we couldn't sit without a jacket or sweater. No employee responded when all the guests put on their jackets. If the outside temperature is 15 degrees, air conditioning is probably not appropriate. It's a shame, we won't eat there anymore.

Neal Henderson: Absolutely the best dining experience. It was my niece's birthday, and they could not have made it more special. From the 5 star menu to the first class service. A memory we will cherish forever.

amit dabholkar: was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Loved the sauce.Chicken saltado was really amazing. The sauce was delicious and flavorful. The chicken and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. The ambience was really nice. The portion size was sufficient.Overall loved the restaurant.Definitely would visit again.

Alvaro Carbonero: The food was incredible. As a born and raised Peruvian, this is *the first* Peruvian restaurant I like in the US.The food was really good, but what makes me give it 5/5 were the vegetarian options. Not my first choice, but my friends are vegetarian so I got to try it from them. OUTSTANDING. The plates were original. They were not imitation meat; instead they were original creations with Peruvian ingredients that follow the spirit of the non-vegetarian counterpart. I highly highly recommend this place for vegetarians that want to try Peruvian food. For the meat eaters like I, I insist you try them. Not a good selection of desserts, though. The cheesecake with maracuya sauce was really good though. As someone who spends many many hours in the kitchen, I applaud the craftsmanship and creativity. As a Peruvian, I’m proud that this restaurant represents us.Vegetarian options: They are not originally from Peru, but definitely Peruvian inspired with Peruvian ingredients.

Ameya V: Food is very good. Empanadas are a must have. The place is very small, and there was only one waiter who seemed a bit overwhelmed at times. Overall I recommend it for a casual evening out. Outdoor area is available, would be better during the warmer months.

JUICE: Definitely worth the ratings! I don't think you need a reservation but its still nice to book just in case! The place is small!Jaleita - 5/5! I loved the variety of squid, shrimp and yucca topped with the salsa and the aioli!Empanada Sampler - 5/5! The waiter was nice enough to switch out the mushroom for a second beef because im not a fan of mushrooms and oh my godddd it was so good! We got chicken and beef and we wanted to save it to not get full but we couldn't help it and just ate it!

Carl Davis: My dinner was worth the wait! Enjoy!

Carlos Danino: Awesome place to eat and drink....!

Lucho Bravo: Good Peruvian restaurant. Some tasty dishes, with some that hadn't heard of. Friendly waiter, a bit overtaxed with work. He could have used more help, so our service and orders are delayed. Wobbly tables. A pitcher of chicha morada was $26 dollars.

Haydar Celik: I had octopus, choclo, ceviche, and lucuma ice cream. Everything was delicious but sweeter than what I like. Ceviche was sour enough but a little bitter, maybe because of the lime/lemon peel. Lucuma ice cream is amazing. I wouldn't add honey on top. Would go back.Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes …

Sena Guzel: Excellent service and food.Highly recommended.

ROB Lambda: Cancha was so good! I went with my 10 year old. We had the ceviche pasion, beef empanadas, lomo saltado, arroz con mariscos, and a side of platanos maduros. Everything was excellent! We knew we wouldn't finish everything but ordered everything we wanted to try. We would definitely return for more!

Evelyn Nguyen: , pork shoulder. Yummmm!

Hadi Koesnodihardjo: It is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in town. Too bad the location is not that great.Parking: Best is to use Uber or public transportation.

Vee: During a long layover in San Fran., my daughter chose this restaurant. To be honest, when the Uber driver pulled in front of this establishment, I thought it was a mistake. There's no banner or sign outside indicating what it is. From my vantage point, the place really looked seedy from the outside. The ambiance wasn't much either, but I'm here to tell you.., seedy looking and all, the food and service was nothing short of EXCELLENT. The passion fruit drink was quite a hit with my palate. The Arroz Con Marisco was delish. The fish was light, airy and flavorful. The Calamari was a hit as well. Just the right crunch and seasoning leaving me to secretly want to order another round. As for the Ceviche., my daughter is the connoisseur of that dish and she gave it the Chef's kiss.

Karina Cordoves: One of my favorite places in San Francisco….yes!!!!! It is not spectacular to look at but they always serve us with great generosity and even so, arriving just a few minutes from closing, they treated us with the best of treatment!! What can I say about the food 🥘 wow very delicious, a lot of flavor in their dishes... the lomo saltado is one of my favorites, I always order it and the rice with chicken is tasty. In general, a quiet place with good dishes, very affordable prices in the place. I highly recommend it. The prices range between 12 and 20 dollars. I love this family business. I give it a 10 out of 7 for the flavor of its food.

Piqueo's: what do users think?

Grace Pedersen: Amazing service and care for our party of 5 plus adorable Pom. We ordered so much and it was delicious and came as it was ready which I really appreciate. They put up with us staying late which was super kind and I just loved the entire experience.Dietary restrictions: They were very attentive and asked us about dietary restrictions before we started and were ready to do any substitutes as needed.

Daniel R: Piqueo's restaurant offers Peruvian food. Everything that we ate was delicious, lots of flavor. The ceviche was my favorite. The staff were nice, and they spoke Spanish, which is great when going to a Latin restaurant. My only complaint would be that the table were too small for two people. There is enough room to have bigger tables. The music was a bit loud, but not a big deal. And it took longer than usual to get our food, and the table besides us, got it before, even they came after.I have been there twice and would definitely go back and recommend it.Gracias.

Natalia Le: We ordered the aji de gallina, bolitas de yucca, pescado ceviche, and tequeños. My favorite dish was the bolitas. The aji de gallina was good but not the best I've ever had. My friends who are into sweets really liked the tequeños. I probably would not get the ceviche again.Great pisco sour and great service!

Deepa Shiv: Loved both the food and service. Menu has several authentic Peruvian dishes and cocktails were well made too. Service was very good as well. Overall I’d recommend this place for dinner.Vegetarian options: There are a couple of vegetarian options on the menu but the staff is very friendly to help.Parking: Street parking is available on neighboring streets but keep some time to find parking.

Mochica: what do users think?

Lindsay Tharp: Food is always delicious. We have been to Mochicas 4-5 times now and we never had a bad thing about the food. Service could be better. We visited on Cinco de Mayo 2024 and after viewing the restaurants Instagram that same morning that featured flavored margaritas, we were told the restaurant didn’t carry those specialty flavors. The website also doesn’t function properly so you can’t find any accurate information.

Julian Fellerman: Place totally exceeded expectations. Peruvian classics with killer sazon, standout dishes were the Vaca Frita and Lomo Mar y Tierra. The ceviches and wings were also both very nicely executed. Pretty good portions at overall reasonable price point. The place is set up with a DJ/live band for dancing on weekends, is a good option for salsa/bachata but the ambience can vary depending on the night. Definitely recommend this gem hidden in plain sight!

Humberto Quiroa: Excellent 👌 food, all very delicious, recommended!!

Henry Escobar: Great service.

Gorgus Gray Goldgar: This review in based on bar area only. This place has some of the best and unique cocktails I've had in a while. Though they are somewhat pricey, they are truly unique and have Spanish feel to them. We decided to go next door to this spot from the Japanese yakitori restaurant because my wife said they have very good drinks here. I'm glad I listened because I was very happy with the drinks I ordered. If you don't have any idea of what to order the bartender is very helpful and knowledgeable since he and fellow bartenders help craft the cocktails on the menu. Good atmosphere for simply hanging out with a friend or a date. It wasn't too busy on Friday night and it wasn't too loud.

Javier van Oordt: Outstanding! Especially the Pisco.

Sf Bluejade: Soft serve frozen custard. So yummy.

Aria Pipp: Visited Destino for SF restaurant week and wasn’t disappointed!Bruce was our waiter and he was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond. There were plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options as well. The wine menu was ample and the pisco was delicious!Would definitely recommend even if you’re just going for a drink!Only thing that could be improved is the yucca fries, they had the string/veins cooked in them which made them hard to eat.

Blanca Villalvazo Diaz: Excellent service!!!

Eric Fode: Holy bejeesus. This place. Is unbelievable.Just stop reading this review and get the CEVICHES. NOW.I can’t describe how good this food is without making it sound worse than it is.The staff is profoundly kind, warm, attentive, and incredibly skilled. You can tell they love the food they make, care about each other, and go above what’s asked of them to make you feel the same.To reiterate my answer to the chefs question “can you feel the love this was made with?” YES , yes I can. Thank you for the honor of eating the product of your craft. Not only is the food unbelievable, the staff impeccable, the business appears to look out for folks who don’t speak English as their first language.Go forth and have your mind blown.

Ricardo Amayo: Best Peruvian Food!! Not only in Oakland! But probably in the USA 🇺🇸The details of the food are Fantastic! The Chef Carlos and team are Amazing!Every bite is very delicious!!Can’t wait to go back again!!Awesome job Chef and Team! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Aerin Armstrong: Wait... Did I just find the BEST restaurant in Oakland?!? Yes, I did. Okay so first, the service. I usually start with the food, but this place is exceptional. They greeted me upon arrival and as soon as I said reservation, they called me by name. The whole place was crackling with good vibes and fun music. I install set to challenging them and they didn't blink once. I ordered things, I changed my order, I asked them to order for me, and they just shot me welcoming retorts, kind faces, and fantastic recommendations. I started with a rockfish cebiche, which can be harrowing, but this was sublime. It was accompanied by a small bowl of fried/baked and salted corn kernels. The dish to me a good long time to finish because every bite was an exciting adventure into the sea. The fish bites were perfectly sized and the local seaweeds were packed with flavor. Between bites of tart I popped kernels of salty goodness that brought out entirely new flavors from the dish. For the entree I was served a variety of fried shrimp and white fish with sauteed squid over a salty bed of beans and rice. A delicate white wine and mint reduction over the top added layers of flavor that were simply, and delightfully, unique. The shrimp were served with heads on and every crunchy bite was fresh and tasty. None of the seafood was over done or salted, which paired perfectly with the salty bed. The ambiance, the party in my mouth, the frankly attractive server: what a pleasure. I will be back and I'll tell all my friends. Thank you, Pucquio 💕🎣 I'm hooked.

Pedro Vicente: tasted great. The place only had one waiter though. You have to be really patient but at the end the food was just so good, it was impossible to feel frustrated by the wait times.

Kate Hall: Share a few plates of Pucquio's reliably delicious spin on Peruvian street food. I've been there 7 or 8 times and it's easily the best dinner in Oakland for me. Easy parking on College Ave. Boisterous atmosphere fit for families or dates. Cozy and served by a quite charming and knowledgeable staff including the owner and head server who remember me every time. Without a doubt, go!

Jenna Phil: I can't wait to go there again. This place is intimate, lively, and flavorful. Each dish that met our table was above and beyond, the star being the Lomo Saltado. The plantains, Adobo de Chancho, and Aji de Gallina we lovely additions. The staff was kind, doting, and hard working. I'm looking forward to trying the whole menu!Parking: Street parking is available. Depending on the time of day it's free or paid.
