Best part was the guys who worked there, very knowledgeable about bands and music history. One dude took us to a back room and gave us a course on the Beatles. We loved it. If you're in San Francisco stop by and get a real San Francisco experience. An buy a one of a kind art piece. Thanks Guys great job.

Anthony Nedumgottil: What a wonderful place.Pier 24 photography gallery is full of knowledgeable people, they currently have an exhibit based off of many famous photo books.I was so happy to see works from Vasantha Yogananthan, Masahia Fukase, Rinko Kawaichi, and Jim Goldberg. The photo books from which these works are taken from are well out of my price point so I was very pleased to be able to view them here. Entry to the gallery must be reserved in advance as they only let in 90 people a day. This gallery is sadly closing on January 2025. Make some time out of your day to book a free appointment and make it down here.

ari salomon: You have till January 2025 before they close so go check out this amazing and free photography museum. It’s got a great collection and they show other work that’s not in their collection. Also there’s always lots to see and because they only let 90 people in per day. It’s never crowded. You just have to make a free reservation online, so you have to plan ahead a little bit

Marc Kewleo: Lovely

Seán McCord: After reading the reviews, i wasn't expecting much, but two out of the four exhibits were better than anything i have experienced in quite some time. Media i don't usually like but still powerful, moving, and captivating. The works were expertly presented. The space is not huge, but it was worth every dollar paid.

David: Some thought provoking installations house in an architecturally interesting building.

Katie Handy: One of our favorite galleries. Every show we've seen has been impressive, provocative, and inspiring.

Joseph Ostenson: A quiet, out-of-the-way gallery, I discovered this place by accident while in San Francisco on business. The space is well suited for modern art. I visited their Frankenstein exhibit in August, which I thought was well-curated. Worth the side-trip.

Carter Chang: Came here on a free SF museum weekend. Small footprint, but enjoyed a thought-provoking exhibit “Designing Peace”. Nice gift shop. Spend 1.5 hours here, then enjoy a nearby craft beer, specialty cheese, or browse a boutique florist. Worried that street parking in the Dogpatch would be a problem but was easy on a winter weekend.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait …

Elma C: - Handbags designed for refugees fleeing conflicts- 2 street block wide street signs “Black lives matter”- A 13-story tower designed specifically for post-war countries- “Regreening Africa” initiative- a Rug made of bulletsThe gift shop offers distinctive items that are perfect for those seeking unique and memorable gifts.Located in the Dogpatch district, the museum is surrounded by a variety of dining options. Some notable establishments include Souvla, known for its delicious cuisine, a wood-fired organic bagel shop, and a bakery that offers delectable treats like crème brûlée-style croissants.

Christina Underwood: This was one the most interesting & provoking Muesums I visited while in San Fran... Way more price efficient than the others. Small yet full of unique BEAUTY. I would definitely suggest checking out while you're in town.

Turnipboys: Currently displaying a curated exhibit called "Designing Peace," which features multimedia pieces from international artists about global issues.I had a semi-guided tour that concluded with a crafts session where we made our own mini dioramas. I enjoyed this portion a lot.The layout of the exhibit is very interesting and allows for guests to roam and see every art piece. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to share more about the work and the museum if asked. They have "Pay What You Can Wednesdays," which I recommend if you have the time.
