Established in 1962, the heart of the Union Gospel Mission Sacramento ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ through the evangelization and regeneration of the urban poor while worshiping with acts of mercy. To serve these needs, the Mission provides a Christ-centered environment, clothing, food, shelter, spiritual training, and a rehabilitation program.

Thousands of meals every month are served to homeless men, women, and children on the streets from our location at 400 Bannon Street.

A women’s clothes closet staffed by dedicated volunteers. With a Bible study, clean and fashionable clothing as well as toiletries provided to women in need.

84 men sleep at our location every night, safe from the heat, cold and the dangers of the nighttime streets.

A 10-month program for 24 residents with Gospel-centered discipleship, life-skills classes, job preparedness, and transitional housing.
