David Yuh: Kotohira in Gardena offers a homely and authentic dining experience. The food is delicious and comforting, with traditional Japanese flavors that remind you of home. The service is warm and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a genuine taste of Japanese cuisine!
Jared Cohee: - No matter how out of style udon can be, the noodle love of Kagawa Prefecture is front and center at one of Gardena's longest running favorites. The bento
Janeth Suárez: It was the first time I came in but I really liked the place, the food was good and they were very friendly and it is very quietParking: Well, it is a square with many food businesses and there are always many people, especially after 6:00 p.m. the parking lot and the street begin to fill up as well.Kid-friendliness: YeahWheelchair accessibility: Yeah
Ryu “Ray” Kin: So delicious!Did you eat Goya Champuru? However, it almost tasted like stir-fried green peppers lolHowever, the taste is very delicious and I am very satisfied! Also, I want to go eat there when I go!

CH: Authentic, high-quality, and classic Japanese restaurant known for their soba noodles. Everything was delicious and the flavors are straight from Japan, across the Pacific Ocean, to the South Bay. Their sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth fresh. Honestly there's nothing but good things to say about Otafuku. From taste to service to price to size, it's no surprised they're a stable of the community. You know it's authentic when you show up 30 minutes before restaurant opening and there are already squads of Japanese elderlies waiting outside. The only downside is the tiny parking lot in the back. Expect to pay $60 per person and be stuffed!
David Yuh: Otafuku in Gardena offers the best soba I’ve had outside of Japan. The food is authentic and delicious, capturing the true essence of Japanese cuisine. The service is friendly and efficient, making the dining experience enjoyable. The ambiance is cozy and traditional, perfect for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch soba!Parking: Tight parking lot in the back.
Olivia Vandervoort: Had such a delicious dinner here. We knew they were known for their soba and tempura and we enjoyed these for sure, but I can’t stop thinking about the Berkshire pork rice dish! The atmosphere was cozy and the service was so friendly. Also thought the prices were reasonable for the quality and portions. I’m looking forward to going back!Parking: Limited free parking lot in the back

Jessica Cho: Loved the udon. Personally love the amount of dried tofu skin, broth was great, and the vege was super fresh
Yunah Hahn: Quick mealMenu may not be extensive, it may not be your favorite udon nor kimbap but it has plenty of interesting factors.Their veggie kimbap is huge and it’s delicious. It was actually better when they put the extra sauce and dried tofu in it. Too bad it’s rather plain now. Udon is above par and surprisingly satisfying.Never had anything bad but nothing extraordinary. You come here if you’re hungry while grocery shopping. You come when you’re in a hurry and need a quick bite. It’s really the reminiscence, ambiance- eating cheap udon and sushi at a hole in a wall nondescript family owned hole in the wall restaurant in Korea and Japan.Vegetarian options: Kimpab!Dietary restrictions: There’s something for everyone!Parking: Big free lot! No need to worry about parking!
John Wick: I got their business card. It says:Y J UDON2740 W. Olympic BlvdLos Angeles CA 90006I had the Udon with 6 pieces Eel Roll. It also came with two mussels that were covered in a delicious sauce. The eel was good like I expected. Everything delicious. I wish I liked the udon broth better enough to want to drink it. All the food tasted great and was fresh. I will definitely be back. This small place is located inside the Korean grocery at the same location. I like this market because they have some things I like a lot and there is always plenty of parking.
Joshua Jeffries: Great sushi at a very good price.
S K: Best quality noodles and sushi!
travel one: Convenient parking at Hanta Korea Market.
PHILLFS: noodles and the fish rice
모사드: Really convenient and delicious Japanese restaurant ^^
H•J Lee: The sushi is good and the udon is also good... Except for the fact that it's a bit cramped because it's located inside a market, it's not expensive and seems like a good place to eat.

hamburgerch33se: I don’t usually write reviews but I really enjoyed my time here. Our server, which I’m assuming is the owner, was very attentive and sweet and constantly came by to ask and make sure we enjoyed our food and our time there. I had the cream uni udon and the cream mentai udon and I loved everything about both. The cream never overpowered the seafood elements and the udon noodles were such a great texture. Food came out very fast and the atmosphere was very cozy. I also really liked the chairs because I could lean back and rest my elbows on the back rest as well. The wood slab tables were also a nice touch. Nothing about the atmosphere felt “cheap”. It felt well thought out
Shela: The food was tasty, and the staff were kind. The half-sized tempura udon was perfect for me; I wasn't super hungry at the time and don't usually eat a lot anyway, so it filled me up without leaving me feeling stuffed.Came here while waiting for doors to open for a show at the Largo. I got there relatively early, just after 6pm, which turned out to be good because it seemed like they filled up with all of the theatre-goers who were evidently also waiting for doors open.I had a bit of a wait after I ordered, maybe around 10-15 minutes, max. One of the servers saw me looking around and proactively told me it was because they were making all of the udon orders together; I appreciated how attentive they were, to notice that I was wondering about my order. I didn't mind the wait too much anyway, because I needed to fill the time until 7pm.

Wan L: Combos:~Crab, scallop & ikura rice bowl: good but the seafood portions were small.~Unagi box: husband's favorite!~Deluxe tempura bowl: shrimp, white fish, scallop, squid, eggplant, kabocha, potato, green bean, mushroom. It's not as crispy but it's pretty good.Limited seatingPlenty of parking
N: I ordered the sea bream sashimi bowl and zaru soba set! It was very delicious ✨😍 I really liked the calm atmosphere inside the store and the kind staff. ✨2023 updateI ordered a set of sashimi, tempura, and kakesoba. The Kakesoba soup was very delicious. The sashimi was also very fresh and delicious. I'm happy to have hot tea.
Eric Hsiang: My recent visit to this restaurant with my mother turned out to be a pleasantly enjoyable experience. The setting of the place immediately struck us with its welcoming and comfortable ambiance, making it a nice spot for a relaxed meal. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the soba. While it wasn't exceptionally extraordinary, it was decently prepared, offering a satisfactory taste that adhered to the traditional flavors. The soba had a good texture, and the accompanying ingredients complemented it well, making for a fulfilling meal. What adds to the charm of this place is its unpretentious and friendly atmosphere. It feels like a spot where you can unwind and enjoy a simple, good meal without any over-the-top expectations. The staff were courteous and attentive, contributing positively to our dining experience. In conclusion, if you're in the mood for some decent soba in a pleasant environment, this restaurant is worth a visit. It's a place I would recommend, especially for those who appreciate a laid-back dining experience with good, straightforward food.
Jared PR: Wow! I would say this is the best Soba I have had in California and the Tempura was amazing too. My Japanese partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and would go back in a heartbeat. Since Covid it seems like many of my favorite Japanese places have gone down in quality but this place is legit. I am pretty strict on Japanese food too! Give this place a shot

Wai Chan: . They both were amazing. Their udon is fresh homemade. I like the texture of the udon. The soup is very subtle, it hit the spot. The broth-less one had very nice flavor, not over powering, not too salty. Recommend to eat udon at this place. We saw other customers ordered hot pot, but we didn’t try.
Michelle Kwon: - included different mushrooms, shishito pepper?, chikuwawould come back again 💯 service was super nice and friendly. we arrived a bit late around 8:30PM. food came quickly and the atmosphere was pleasant
Adrian Sanchez: This place is great! Service was awesome. And the food doesn't disappoint. Closest thing to being in Japan! And trust me I go all the time to visit. I had the curry udon katsu . Fresh, seasoned correctly, katsu cooked perfect. My girlfriend had the spicy kimchi udon. Also seasoned well and definitely spicy! Highly recommend restaurant. Will be heading back to take my friends .
Chung Liew: Parking is really easy even on weekends. The restaurant is spacious and the staff is friendly. The menu has lots of different food options. This place is great to hang out with friends and family to catch up or meet up. Our party had a baby, they have high chairs and staff were very accommodating, we did not feel like a nuisance while dining here. When the baby was rowdy and there was a lobby area just a short walk away to calm the baby down with various Japanese decor.
David Nakamura: I got the lunch combo, udon + kanpachi bowl. The udon was good, but nothing incredible. I really enjoyed the kanpachi bowl, though. The sashimi was flavorful and fresh and rice was perfectly made. I also sampled the kuzukake with soba -- it was okay. The broth was tasty, but the soba seemed overcooked and a bit too soft.
A M: they were kind enough to give us two matcha cake for the birthday boys. I will be back soon and hopefully will get to try to sit in their tatami room!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian hot pot
