Aaron W Chavez: . They are Birkenstocks and they don’t make this shoe anymore so I’ve preserved them as well as I can. The last shoe repair I got on them they repaired them with a huge gap in between the leather which exposed my foot when I wore them. Kind of awful.I took them in to K’s and asked if it could be repaired. The owner told me he would do his best. I said, I have faith in you.When I got the shoes… he had fixed the gap, he had reinforced the bind with stitching on both sides of the shoe, he had built in cork where it had been scuffed away, he had put a new sole on and had gotten me new laces since the old ones weren’t a good match for the shoe. On top of that, he weatherproofed my shoe and given the leather a nice cleaning.This man is an expert cobbler. I’ll go nowhere else from now on!

P. Montoya: It’s the first time I’ve ever gone to this place and first time I went to get shoes repaired ever. I brought some mules/clogs here and they were pretty bad. I was worried they were long gone cause they’re one of my favorite pairs, the shoe repair guy even told me these were in poor condition, but idk what he did! He worked his magic on my shoes. I picked them up today and they were like new! I’m so happy I got my shoes back to how they were when I first got them. I think it’s a couple that runs the business, but both the woman and man that helped me were very warm, welcoming and kind. Thank you sooo much El Choclo! The best!

Jesus Mares: El Choclo gave my 4 year old work boots new life. Every year I get new boots and every year I say that I am going to send my old work boots back to Red Wings to get resoled. But I began to watch videos on youtube about shoe cobblers and decided to look for one near me. I am very glad that I found this place. He gave me different options for soles and recommended I get the Good Year Tulsa sole. He gave me warranty for the life of the sole and charged a very reasonable price. I am very satisfied with the outcome of the work, I would recommend anyone with work boots to bring their boots to this shoe cobbleir.I want to compare his service with the Red Wings re-sole program. Red Wings prices start at $120 and the current wait time is 2.5 months. El Choclo charged me $75 and it took him 4 days. The biggest benefit from his service is that he is local, I am helping my community by shopping in my community and if I have any problems I can bring them back to him.

felicia: This is an old-school, cluttered, slightly smelly shop that does outstanding service at 1980 prices. You can just tell that the owner is a craftsman who takes pride in his work. His most recent miracle for me was to restore one of my favorite leather purses that was so worn it couldn't even be donated. Before tossing it in the trash, I decided to take it to A&J, just in case he could do something with it. The transformation was amazing! It looked so good, I had to search for all the tears and worn spots that were no longer visible. Parking is terrible, but well worth the trouble.

Ellen Lance: When the heel of a dance shoe came off, I thought I would try Quality Shoe Repair because it was well-reviewed. Instead of telling me I had to replace both heels, the owner glued the errant heel back on, and refused to let me pay him anything! He also mentioned that in the future, I could save myself the $150 or more cost of those kind of specialty shoes by bringing in a favorite pair of shoes he could then retool for ballroom dance purposes. If you are looking for a shoemaker who looks out for his customers, he's your guy!

I’m really fond of that bag and didn’t want to toss it so him being able to save it really made my day. Since then I’ve brought him a pair of 10 year old Cole Haan captoe oxfords that he replaced the heels and got looking better than new all around. Good cobbler, great guy, 10/10 I highly recommend.
