Tea Vassilakis: My friends and I love this shabu-shabu restaurant ❤️ The staff is super nice ,attentive, and helpful! Food is always delicious😋Recommended dishes Shabu-Shabu …
Adrienne Ordonez: First of all, if shabu shabu is new to you like it was for some of us, then this would be an great start!Thank you Jason for giving us amazing service. From explaining the process to making sure we were always filled up with our sides, sauces, and drinks. The Joon beef was amazing and the variety of veggies they give is a lot. The black rice was really tasty and unlimited. So we're the sauces. The prices we're fair but then again when service is great then it makes sense. They have high bar and low bar seating for preferences. Some kids might need a high chair so low bar seating makes sense. The broth was fun because they let you mix it up on your own.Fun tip: they give you purse clips for the table.

Robert Yung: Vegetarian options: Very nice experience in LA.Food is excellentRecommended dishes American Wagyu Beef Recommendation for vegetarians Not sure Vegetarian offerings Large vegetarian selection …
Chloe Wu: Both employees were nice and patient, surprised there were only two workers though, they had to do a lot. The food was good, they explained that the creamy spicy base wasn’t really spicy, which I picked, and I liked it! The meat was good, decent atmosphere, not loud, no smoke from the cooking in your face as well, which I was surprised about because that normally happens in some shabu shabu restaurants.
Stephanie Ahn: low quality or 2
YB S: located on level 3 of MaDang Courtyard on Western avenue. Enter the parking garage through West 6th and Manhattan Street. Parking is free for 3 hours with validation.Excellent quality of meat for ayce standard. A lot of seafood options too. I highly recommend American Wagyu Beef and Beef Belly. I wasn’t a super fan of the sukiyaki soup base as it was little bit too sweet for my taste, but I will try clear chicken soup base next time.Service was one of the best service that I have received at a Korean restaurant. The young gentleman was literally doing 3 people’s job all by himself, bussing the tables, cashiering, and taking orders. He did it so gracefully with a smile, the owner should be thankful to have a person like him as an employee. All in all, I highly recommend.
Ryan Middlesworth: Great food and even better service! The food was incredible—the soup was amazing and flavorful, and the meat and vegetables were incredibly fresh and delicious! Our server, Harry, was incredibly friendly and helpful, as well! All of his recommendations for what to order were great. Overall, we had a great experience at Aki Shabu and we will definitely be returning!

Daichi Edamura: I'm Japanese living in LA. I ordered the normal AYCE. It was $38. The contents of the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu are quite satisfying. Above all, I went at 12 noon on a Sunday, and the store was empty, so I was able to get in without waiting.I also ordered the raw egg twice and enjoyed it in combination with the sukiyaki soup! The problem is that the location is far away. I wish it was near Santa Monica so I could go there many times.

Cynthia Bao: This is a quaint little family run business. My husband and I come for the kushi katsu ever since discovering this dish in Osaka, Japan. Kushikatsu is a rarity and this is the only place we've found that has it with such a vast menu variety. The kushikatsu has a very light battered coating that is crunchy and savory. Everything is always perfectly cooked.Their chicken karaage is also lightly battered and flavorful, they serve it with a citrus mayo.Their shabu is light and clean, their broth isn't heavy like other hotpot places. Their meat is soft and tender, very fresh. I particularly like their sesame dipping sauce with the shabu. They have packaged shabu dinners and also ayce.We came today for a nice date night. They are short staffed with only the two of them but their service never wavered. The gentleman that fries all the skewers and meats is so polite, the hostess who serves the drinks and cashiers is also very hospitable. They both alternated washing the dishes between serving tables as well. I hope this business continues to do well and thrives in this small little tokyo plaza.
Jessica Hoffhines Laursen: because there's an actual pot of boiling water on your table!Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators from the parking garage and flat levels into the restaurant
Isadora: It's a lowkey, average shabu shabu experience. We walked in on a whim and enjoyed our time. We went for the Kobe Beef and regular, it was good but not exceptional. The atmosphere was very relaxing though. It was pretty quiet too. Service was leisurely but we weren't in a rush luckily. If you want a simple Shabu Shabu experience, this is it, but there are better options in Little Tokyo.
Hazel Kazooskis (Indie Queen): Seasoned to perfection to highlight the main ingredients.I came in to have a small meal and came out very satisfied with the experience here. The very atmosphere seasoned the food for me.Boom. 5 stars.
Gunnar Grieser: Shabu-Shabu like in Japan. My colleagues didn't know this type of Asian cuisine.Everyone was thrilled!Unfortunately, the environment has become very run down due to the COVID pandemic.
Jason Dai: Came with a group of 10 and we had excellent service in the private room. Food was good
