    Alejo Castro launched his first restaurant, La Traviata, in Hermosa Beach, which was a great success.

    He and his wife, Claudia, returned to Spain and established yet another successful restaurant, also named La Traviata. Claudia, however, soon realized she missed her life and family in California.

    The couple returned to found our beloved present-day Alejo’s Presto Trattoria Italian Restaurant, where we have preserved Alejo Castro’s recipes and kept alive his dream of a welcoming atmosphere for all to enjoy.

They hired more staff to handle the influx of traffic and is overall more attentive to each customer.**** Old review****This Italian diner is a locals favorite and has been mine for several years living in pdr. However in the past 2 years the biggest issue I have quality of service, the food it still taste great no complaints there. Attention to detail in what your customers are saying is what matters, if you can’t hear someone politely ask them to repeat themselves instead of getting the order wrong. I don’t think it’s right to mention names or descriptions but a particular server treats everyone like it’s his/her last day at work, they have the demeanor of wanting you to leave and always staring at you. It’s actually a very discomforting feeling, another thing to note is the lack of checking up on your tables if I can go refill my glass of water or wine I would make myself at home. These are my latest experiences dining here whether takeout or dining indoors, I still go here occasionally since it’s a 3 minute drive from my house. I hope the service improves or they clear house and find a new system that works best for them.

    Austin Rasmussen: Fresh and authentic food. I would come here all the time with its proximity to LMU. The bread and fresh garlic is a must have. Really can’t go wrong with any of their dishes. The red sauce is my favorite. Calzones are huge and enough to share for 2. Pizza is underrated and underrated. The inside has been remodeled nicely since I first visited years ago. I always plan a visit here when in town!

I accidentally found this little gem while waiting for my shuttle at the LAX airport. Googled "restaurant near me" and they popped up. I can eat Italian anytime... it's my favorite! However because of that it makes me kind of a snob when it comes to it. This Italy's Little Kitchen BLEW ME AWAY!!! Home made pasta, fresh sauce OUTSTANDING!! I want to Italy last year and traveled from nort to south and this brought me back there! I even had a small oopsy and spilled my glass of wine, I told the server what happened and before I knew it she was on her way with a new fresh glass. Customer service still exists here! If I were you I would not miss out on trying this scrumptious, adorable place. I wish they were in my town! I would be there every week!! Viva la Italià!!
