The animal care center serves all unincorporated (non-city) areas of Los Angeles County as well as a number of contracted cities. However, it does not serve the City of Los Angeles, except for small unincorporated areas surrounded by or adjacent to the city.
The animal care center can accept and process animal noise complaints, including barking dog complaints, from residents of its service area.
If you find an ill or injured stray cat, please report it to the Communication Center using one of the phone numbers listed. Do not submit an online request, as it may pose a risk to the well-being of the animal.
You can renew your pet's license on the website or by telephone using your personal code, which appears on your license renewal notice. However, past due licenses cannot currently be processed online or by phone, and must be renewed in person at an animal care center or by mail with applicable penalties included.
Yes, walk-ins are allowed at the animal care center's events on a first-come, first-served basis, as time permits.
